babaearly:Its only a criminal pastor that would discredit this; its a simple and plan question from the Bible written in English Language. What many of these pastors who I recommend to quit been pastors do is this: they would pick a particular portion or quotation of the Bible in order to validate their brainwashing skills and manipulations. Most of these pastors re not actually called by God,,,they became pastor as a result of unguarded zeal, laziness and even greed to get rich quick with any form of accountability. Atleast like one someone said above, why don't they pick up the scripture that requires sacrificing animals or the concept of " Eye for an eye",,,The good thing here is that peoples eyes re been opened by the day,,just like the Berean Christians,,,Don't accept everything a pastor,Bishop or GO tells you until you urself have confirmed it alligns with the Bible. |
I personally allign my belief systems with Bakare,,and every Bible believing Christian too would do same,,,not by compulsion by by reasonability,,and the Bible is not against REASONING,,Many people who chose to be pastors have since discovered that the most successful easy way to make money is via becoming a pastor,,,the thinking here is that : People re more consciuos of Religious activities rather than building a personal relationship with God.Like Pastor AIO here on NL would argue; tithe and offering are Biblical,,I also believe that, but re these tithes ever used for the purpose they re meant? they re meant to take care of the orphans, widows and the needy,,, Guy, Jesus is Lord, no controversy about that; however most pastors re either knowingly or unknowingly taking advantage of people because of their limited klnowledge of the Bible, experience and exposure,,,, |
If it is Kunleosho that said this now,,people would start crucifying him. I think Kunleosho is right in almost all his analysis about the Christian Church today.Too many brainwashing tactics in order to materially enrich ones self in the church these days, Tunde Bakare remains one of two pastors in Nigeria I have some regards for,,, |
Since the General Overseer of the Latter Rain Assembly, Pastor Tunde Bakare, condemned first fruit offering last weekend, controversies have trailed his remarks on the issue. Pastor (Mrs) Faith Olumuyiwa, Mountain of Fire and Miracles Ministry, Ajayi Farm branch, while commenting on the issue, quoted the Book of Proverbs 3:9 “honour the Lord with thy substance and with the first fruit of your increase” which she described as a prerequisite to securing God’s material blessings. Olumuyiwa said though the injunction is in the old testament, Jesus christ, celebrated in the new testament has not come to cancel the law, but to fulfill it. “When you give God your first fruit in the year, you are entering into covenant with God throughout that year. I have seen a Muslim who does it, everything is based on the understanding of the giver. Except you are living in sin, there is no way you will give your first fruit offering and you will not see the result,” she stated. Corroborating Olumuyiwa, Pastor Tosho Abioye, a minister in one of The Redeemed Christian Church of God parishes, said, biblically, first fruit is good and whatever is good is worth doing. Though, he will not want to contest what Pastor Bakare said. Pastor Melissa Scott, from the Los Angeles University Cathedral, commenting on firstfruit on her website, firstfruit teaching.com, which was premised on the book of Leviticus 23:9-14 said: “There is a first concept before your blessing comes. God says, You take the first of whatever comes in your hands, the first of your harvest, whatever it is and you bring it to the priest. That’s before blessing. Blessing comes afterwards.” According to her, one of the principles that a first fruit offering teaches is that a future harvest is promised. The first fruit is just a taste of what lay in store at the end of the full in gathering of the harvest. Therefore, when a first fruit offering was brought before the Lord, it represented a prayer to him to watch over the future harvest that was therefore shadowed by the minute proportion that was being presented. Another principle of the first fruit offering is that, it represents a part of the whole. When that part is offered to the Lord, the remaining part becomes holy to him. It sanctifies the entire lump from which the first fruit offering comes. She said:‘The minute people hear the word money or giving, they just tune out. And you know what? I don’t blame them. If you have not been taught on why you should give, giving will not make sense to you. I want you to learn why you should give. I need to talk about money. How else can change happen and how else can I tell people out there in TV-land that giving in its truest form is inextricably tied to Christianity? You cannot separate them.’ Pastor Jacob Akoja, The Apostolic Church, Oshodi Assembly, however, said the church does not preach about it, but any member who understands the biblical injunction and brings the offering, it is not rejected. He added that “it is not limited to money, even a first child or first property should be dedicated. But that can be redeemed, as one can monetise it.” Speaking in the same vein, Mr Yomi Obaditan, said his church, Deeper Life Ministry, does not preach about it, but he heard the testimony of someone who did it and ever since, he has been giving his first fruit. Sister Kemi Ogooluwa told that she has been a faithful giver sincesix years ago. According to her, giving goes along with faith and grace. If one does not have it, it may be difficult to give. Mr Funsho Adeolu, a member of the Evangelical Church of West Africa (ECWA), said his church does not preach first fruit but dwells more on tithe. Pastor Tunde Bakare had decried last Sunday, the various strategies employed by some so-called men of God to amass wealth through the exploitation of their members. Bakare lamented that most church members have been brainwashed by pastors to the extent that they could go hungry to satisfy them. Pastor Bakare criticised his colleagues, especially those in the big churches, for making first fruit offering compulsory in their churches. First fruit offering, according to him, is the offering of whatever a church member makes in the first month of every year. This, Pastor Bakare said, “is exploitation and an evil perpetrated by predators who are supposed to be taking care of the flock.” “We (the church) have gone totally bad that pastors now exploit their members in the name of first fruit offering. Is that the scripture or manoeuvre?” he asked. The pastor added that other men of God, who do not fully understand the first fruit as explained in the Bible, have since joined the pastors, who have made it compulsory in their churches. “They have made it so compulsory that they now make people pay their first salaries in the year to the church. What will they eat afterwards?” he asked, describing it as sheer exploitation. http://thepmnews.com/2009/07/31/controversy-trails-first-fruit-offering |
banom:Supported Jagon!!! Too many criminals in the pentecostals quoting or always giving a theological quotation to back up their criminality. However, it doesn't change the fact that Jesus is still Lord! People just need to begin to get wise up and making these criminals know that they can,t continue manipulating the people forever. |
nex:Whoever you are, this forum is actually meant to disseminate accurate and logical informations.Pls stop dishing wrong infos; Nigeria's foreign reserve is right now below $40Billion.For ur records, don't U ever compare the USA with Nigeria in terms of RESERVES! OR anything for that matter. No doubt, Nigeria has got the potentials, however, we have missed it all and we have resolved and renewed our ability to continue to miss it. |
update: Wondering and worried,, am yet to get replies to a couple of mails I sent to theo,I have a feeling she is either upset with me or something is just not right somewhere. If I don,t get a reply from her 2day,then I would have to call her.Probably she is doubting me or like her convictions were; she doesn't believe in internet dating. |
Woman Dumps Hubby For Pastor July 21, 2009 14:53 (3 hours ago), 247 views By Cyriacus Izuekwe A mother of five, Ifeyinwa Imakwuta has allegedly dumped her husband of many years, Michael Onotolo and married her pastor, Cletus Machizek. Both are currently living as husband and wife in the same apartment at Egbeda. Enraged by his wife’s action, the embittered husband reported the matter to the police at Idimu, accusing the pastor of abducting his wife. Following this accusation, the pastor and the woman were arrested by the police and detained. P.M.News investigations revealed that the pastor was the spiritual father of the woman and both were attending the Pinnacle of God Pentecostal Ministry, Okunola, Egbeda before the woman had problem with her husband. Trouble started when the husband asked the woman to go back to the village with the children, following his inability to take care of them. This decision did not go down well with the woman and every attempt by her to make him change his mind failed. P.M.News gathered that after too much pressure from her husband, the woman took the children to the village but later came back alone to Lagos, and instead of going back to her husband, she went to the pastor’s house at 38, Okunola Street, Egbeda, Lagos and started living with him. When P.M.News visited the Idimu police station, the lovers were still being interrogated by the police. The DPO of the station declined comments on the matter. A source at the station confirmed the incident and explained that the police might charge the woman with conduct likely to breach public peace, while the pastor may be charged with abduction. When P.M.News contacted the pastor, he denied that he was marrying the woman whom he said was older than him. He also confirmed that the woman was living in his house but that he was only assisting her, pending when she will get her own accommodation. It was not yet certain when they will be arraigned in court. http://thepmnews.com/2009/07/21/woman-dumps-hubby-for-pastor |
My brother that is Nigeria for you and don't be confused ooo jare. What you should be doing is crying for that country seriously because the situation you just described is more terrible than you think. With all the cows we have we cannot produce milk and powdered milk. We have crude oil but import petrol. we have liquefied gas but import gaseous gas. we have cocoa but import Milo and bournvita Did you know some years ago it was total embarrassment for Nigeria that we were importing peanuts from Ghana? we both have groundnut but they were importing peanut which was groundnut coated with sugar and honey. There are many endless list only this few i can state now. If i was the president of Nigeria i will totally ban the exporting of raw materials
Please the ones you listed are just enough before you start making me to cry like a baby. |
omojesu777:What do U want to achieve by saying Oyedepo is a living legend? If U say Oyedepo is living legend,,what do U want to say Pastor Kumuyi is?or what about Wole Soyinka? People should please stop making God of men as against what dey call Men of God,,,Most Nigerian Pastors re not called by God,,,they called dem selves and chose 2 be a pastor not a direct calling for God,,,Infact most of them should quite been pastor,,,The state of Nigerian churches and the society at large is clear evidence that these pastors have failed in their self serving adolation and wanting to equate themselves with God,,,, Read ur Bible very well,,,Jesus Christ who was equal with God,,never thought it robbery to be equal with God,,he took the form of men and dwelt amongst us inspite of all His power, glory and might,,,he never exhibited any iorta of pride,,his humility knew no bounds,,he was and is still KING,,,but never prove to anyone he was King of kings,,,He was Legend emiritus,,but never exhibited,,, My legend in within the Ngerian pastors re Kumuyi,Tunde Bakare, Revd Iloh,,Revd. Gbonigi,,these re pastors that re never acknowledged in the Nigerian christendom but to me the reflect and epitomises what Jesus represents,,they defend the Bible and and stand by the poorest of Nigerians,,, |
sexyLeamon:Its people or ladies like you that scares men all over the world! what has one night stand got to do with this now? For ur information,I have spoken to theo on the phone and we(I and Theo) have both sent and recceived about 17 e-mails from Theo and myself,, Apparently this certainly is not a one night stand process,,U probably might want to give us a clue about what marriage is all about,,,but I would be quick to say as againts ur user name(sexyleamon) that there is more to marriage than "SEX",, or being sexy''' |
sparta:I did not bash Pastor Adeboye,,am only asking a question just like the Berean Christians would do,,,thesame thing John the Baptist would also do,,the reason john the baptist was beheaded was because he questioned the King,,thesame thing Pastor Tunde Bakare would do,,,asking question is not and would never be considered as judgement.Exactly thesame thing Martin Luther King Jnr would have done if he was alive and a Nigerian,,please, am not a basher am just am jus making an INQUIRY,,Jesus is Lord,,,No controversy,,but we live in a world where crazy things are happening even in the church,,In a more sane environment,,Pastor Adeboye would have provided answer to the questions raised about the Jet,,otherwise check out google on "carlton pearson" Carlton Pearson lost several members of his congration because he preached heresy and failed to withdraw his statements,,,in US christians reads their Bible and put their pastor under check,,one single mistake that fails to correct itself would either make or mar the pastor in the US, I pray we wake up to responsible Christianity in Nigeria. |
For all NL and Nigerians: Now know this,,Joel Olstein is a popular pastor in the US and the world,,,he recently made a mistake in his speech/uterances,,,do you know what happened next? His members demanded he should go to the public and refrain the statement he made,,and he did just that,,thats the humility am talking about. More than the above, just last year,,Revd Wright who happens to be Obama's pastor for 20 years,,,made a statement that boils down to racisms which ultimately would have affected Obama's bid for presidency,,the Revd Wright for that singular mistake was fired(sacked) from the church and Obama eventually resigned from attending that church,,,Simply because his pastor made a blunder! Though the Revd tried apologising but it was to late. Now my question is this,,can both scenerio ever happened in Nigeria?the answer is NO !! Reason being that Nigerians have been so badly boxed into RELIGION,,,,U MUST NOT QUESTION UR PASTOR,BISHOP,GO etc,,,to me that is arrant nonesense and unscriptural Again,,I ask the question,,,why have we not heard Pastor Adeboye making statement concerning the Jet? One thing am trying 2 prove is that as human beings,,we re all prone to mistakes,,,and what we should do is to apologise appropriate when we make such mistakes,,,ur Pastor,Bishop,GO,,etc are all fallible and prone to mistakes,,,That is why the WHITES would always be ahead of the BLACKS in almost everything,,,In US,,U would see politicians, pastors apologising publicly when they make any mistakes,,,and they re eventually forgiven,,, |
@Poster: If U think all the above re confusing in the Quaran,,,check up Quaran Chapter 3 from verses 45 to 63,,,U would discover that muslims don't read the Quaran,,,, The Quaran said in those verses in paraphrase that if U don't believe in Jesus,,U would not be raptured on the last day,,it went further to say that Jesus Christ is a WORD spoken by God into the womb of mary,,,Can U imagine that man?? Please if U have the Quaran,,,U can paste those verses here for them to read,,, |
timmy7:I hope U re not referring to me? For one,,am not an atheist,,am christian and exhibits the features and traits of a christian.your response have shown the kind of christian that you re,,why would you be insulting someone because he holds a different view with U and ur pastors??Don't the Berean Christians in the Bible question their teachers because of the false teaching going on in christiandom in their days? My prayer for you is that God opens ur eyes of understand so U don't make God out of men,,,Now know this,,Joel Olstein is popular pastor in the US and the world,,,he recently made a mistake in his speech/uterance,,,do you know what happened next? His members demanded he should go to the public and refrain the statement he made,,and he did just that,,thats the humility am talking about. Its so amazing some people re now saying Pastor Adeboye denounced the text message sent across,,My question is this: Why did the pastor swiftly responded to this text issue and up till this moment,no response has been made as regards the Jet issue,,,to me this leaves more questions than the answers given. I remembered some RCCG spoke persons(people) said the pastor is too busy and does not respond to issues like the jet questions,,,between the jet and the text,,,which is more scandalous,,, ![]() Please RCCG members should pass the message across to Pastor Adeboye that the public still need answers 2 the Jet issue,,,No doubt,,I appreciate the fact that he is a pastor,,however,,certain issues still needs to be cleared it doesn't matter whether one is a pastor,Bishop or whatever title. |
Nigerian christians are just messed up mentally,,their thinking capacity has been disformed and discomfitted,,, Its so amazing some people re now saying Pastor Adeboye denounced the text message sent across,,My question is this: Why did the pastor swiftly responded to this text issue and up till this moment,no response has been made as regards the Jet issue,,,to me this leaves more questions than the answers given. I remembered some RCCG spoke persons(people) said the pastor is too busy and does not respond to issues like the jet questions,,,between the jet and the text,,,which is more scandalous,,, ![]() |
dlox01:God bless you man,,I can see some people are now waking up to reality |
tkb417:The problem you and others have is that you can only think with twisted religious perception,,,why he said so that you would not weep over ur loved ones,,,tell me what weeping over loved ones implies? You know what? I believe in the one and only true God, who has called us into His ritghteousness and who sent His son and said as many as receive Him into their lives,,to them He gave power to become sons of God and a joint heirs to God's kingdom. If you a Bible student and U read ur Bible very well,,,you would understand that most Nigerian pastors re manipulators,,,they would say they see,,when in real sense they never saw anything,,Until Nigerians start questioning some of these pastors,,we would continue to remain in spiritual doldrums, slavery and entrapement,,, |
OMO IBO:This is madness in the highest order,,Many Nigerian Pastors have mental problems and the operate in a mentally challenged country that is the simple reason why they thrive in their business. Between this time everyday in Nigeria,,Nothing can ever stop somebody or someone from dying,,,a country of over 160Million people,,,where there is no form of sound health care,,and in most cases more than half of the population is unhealthy as can be seen in the President,,,why wouldn't some one dies? Now, more than the above,,why would any christian be afraid of death? Paul said in the Bible to die is even GAIN to a christian. As far as I know,,this is an indication that Nigeria has been so deeply messed up religiuos wise. Why would any christian or anybody wait until his/her pastor ask them to pray against a thing,,, Any pastor or any religion that tells you God is solely responsible for ur action or inaction is an irresponsible pastor or religion.People and christians needs to take responsibilty for thier lives and not handing their lives to pastors or people who are exhibiting one form of mental illness or the other,,why is it their prophecies is only about death?Nonesense !!! |
@ Nlanders:we actually started talking ysterday though, however the communication suddenly got abrupted, can't say exactly what went wrong.I actually asked her about 2 questions and the answers she gave me were satisfactory.Nevertheless, I need still to ask her a few question in addition to the ones I asked , I do hope she is got some questioning too for me. We both actually seems to be keeping our fingers crossed. Now am getting prepared for the days activities. |

coolfaced8:Thanks coolfaced8, Hey Theolar, if U re there now, why don,t you hook me up on the mail or messenger, am online now, and wouldn't mind chatting with you for a while.I actually sent you a mail a couple of minutes ago. |
chinesedoll:What update please. re U Theolar? |
Now,this is really getting scary. I only spoke 2 her for the first time ysterday, and we are yet to even get talking,so people should allow us go through our process. As we keep our communications open, people should give us the previledge of discovering ourselves. That being said, am going to e-mail her later today, that would signify our first step of the process.I actually got her e-mail ysterday when I spoke to her about 15Minutes or thereabout. |
theolar:Now you beat me to this,I did call Theolar,,yes I did.I was laughing uncontrolably because I was talking with someone I really don't know.Nevertheless, she sounds cool though and would have wished to have set my eyes on her.But I don't how I sound to her, don't know if she felt anything,,it was kind of weird to me that I was kind of excited talking to her. Now we both have to be careful,,all eyes are on us,, Anyway, I have two mediums 2 contact her now,so we re on the trail, don't have an idea where we re heading to though but which ever way,we are heading somewhere |
Common mehnnnn, what re you guys upto? Fear don grip me ooo.Can this be a joke or something else? Somebody has already contacted pastor chris, another going to dubai, not enough ashoebi has follow join. Now you guys are truly trying to make dormant eggs popping and sleeping tadpoles wake up.However, everyone should just hold still,Theolar and I would sort out this and reports shall be given to you guys to let you know how far we have gone or we re going to go or probbaly wouldn't move any inch because Theolar is big girl ![]() @Theolar, now, if that is ur number,,then expect my calls 2mrow saturday,,I will call very briefly,, I am a very busyman,,,my time here as at the moment her is about 8:20pm on friday and that would be about 1:20am Naija time on saturday,,You probably would be in dreamland right now,,Just have a good nite rest and expect a call from me,,, |

And does he owe anybody especially atheist like u any explanation on the jet in d church's kitty? Oh, u want him to come out in media to say i did not buy any jet with church money abi
