God does answer prayers if we pray sincerely with a pure heart, this call for prayer is for people concerned about what Nigeria is going through and tired of the situation in the country.

That is the problem we have with people who twist the Bible for personal gratification,,,Did'nt you also read about John the Baptist who was beheaded because he accused a reigning King of his sins,,,until other pastors start talking and ministering like Tunde Bakare and Kumuyi,,I have little respect for them,,Now have'nt Nigeria been holding several National prayer meetings? what has the result brought to date,,,I can remember Benny Hinn was in the country some years back holding National purification for Nigeria,,,some Nigerian Pastors eventually swindled him of over $1Million Dollars,,,what we need is enabling system backed up with effective laws,,and not all these pastors who do not have the callings to be pastors in the first place,,,

Its not true,,the whole nation did not pray for the removal of Abacha,,far beyond that please tell me How many countries in this world have ever used prayer to solve there problems,,Nigeria does not need prayers to solve her problems rather Naija needs an action plan,,Chinese and Japanese are probably one percent christians in there respective countries,,,why did'nt they depend on prayers when they have there brains to use,,,Now listen to me,,many of these pastors do not hear from God they re just having some mental cum psychological problem,,,Bottomline is that any religion that tells you God is solely responsible for ur actions or inactions is an irresponsible religion,,Am a christian and believe in everthing the Bible stands for,,but I can confidently tell you that Pastors and christians in Nigeria re the very biggest problems of Nigeria,,,were they not praying for OBJ while he was in power?Some were trying to romance Fashola not quite long but fashola had to put them where they belong,,,

Love isn’t the driving force in marriage. Trust, understanding & compatibility out ways love; they provide smooth marriage even when the love (not biblical love but the kind we all know and practice) is long gone. You have sympathy on her because of her contributions in your life especially while life was tough on you. Any marriage based on sympathy is the type you manage for life; no satisfaction. I guess but for those contributions in your life you would have long gone; no waste of time talking about giving her a second chance. I wish you well if you insist to stay.

This has been said over and over again. Generally speaking women do not just cheat just for the fun of it. There is something wrong with the relationship certainly from her point of view (maybe not yours) and as such decided that she wanted to try something else.

She could have been bored, wanted some excitement, wasn’t sure if she deeply loved you or not etc
She cheated and got caught. Only this girl and God know if this has happened before; she sure won’t tell you even if it has.

The poster cheated 2 years ago but they both chose to forgive & forget so that is not enough reason for her to go and do the same thing 2 years later.

I am an advocate of marriage with eyes wide open so as to minimise problems later on down the line

Only and I repeat only marry for love, trust and respect on both sides.

The trust issue has been breached so the marriage will start with a blip. If trust is lacking in a relationship then the relationship goes no where and will be full of accusations, jealously and arguments.

Can also point out that morally It is not the done thing to sleep with other men while pregnant with another mans child.

Isn't it obvious why the poster has not been able to pass any of the aptitude tests? His use of English leaves a lot to be desired. Yes, he may "belief in competency rather than certificate", but he needs to prove that he actually studied for the certificate first.

What the heck are you talking about that is a mistake which anybody can make,,,the right word and not use of English should have been "Believe" and not belief.
Barack Obama in his presidential campaign made a lot of mistakes which most 7yrs old would not make in US,,,one of the mistakes is this: he said he had been to 57 states in the US whereas there are just 50 states in the US.

The country seems to be too big for president Umaru Musa Yar’Adua to effectively govern.

This was the opinion of the National President of the Arewa Youth Consultative Forum (AYCF), Alhaji Yerima Usman Shettima, who spoke with P.M.NEWS on Wednesday, in Lagos. President Yar’Adua would be two years old as president, on 29 May, this year, but like every other frustrated Nigerian, Comrade Shettima lamented that not even one of his seven-point agenda has been achieved. This, he said, is frustrating enough to all those who fought for the enthronement of the country’s democracy.

Asked to assess the present administration, a visibly angry Shettima said; “we were thinking that if Umaru comes, it is possible that out of nothing something would come out. Then he brought his seven-point agenda. “But two years down the line, we have not seen even one of the agenda coming into being, not even the one declared as emergency. I could not remember anywhere in his speech where he said he would not be able to execute the seven-point agenda in four years. “He did not tell us he would do everything in eight years. So, my understanding is that he meant that the agenda would be executed within four years and if after two years nothing is on ground and things are worse at the expense of the common man, it means we have a problem.

“I don’t want to jump to the conclusion that Obasanjo’s government was better than this, but then, this government is bogged down and it becomes frustrating for us because we know what we put in for these people to enjoy the so-called democracy.” While advocating for a new constitution that will feature the input of the 140 million people living in the country, he said he does not trust the legislators to do the job because only a few of them have the integrity. Most of them, he said, do not know why they were elected. “They do not contribute at sitting, they don’t come home to their people. “They leave their wives back home and busy themselves sleeping around with women. You even see some of them in clubs at night. Are these the kind of people to trust?” he asked.

He stressed that the 1999 Constitution was imposed on the country by the Abdulsalami Abubakar military era, and for this reason, it lacks credibility and the binding force to provoke political leaders to actions that would uplift the majority of the people in the country. He also advised that the possible solution to the lethargy of Nigerian leaders, especially those currently manning the seat of power, is for the country to revert to the confederation system of government, where the constituent parts would have autonomy and rule themselves. With this, according to the Arewa Youth leader, the issue of resource control would be solved as each region would begin to handle whatever resources they are blessed with and only pay part of what they earn to the central government. He emphasised that this type of government helped Nigerians in the early days of the country’s independence.

Explaining other benefits of the confederation, Alhaji Shettima said it would enable the people in the regions to carefully choose their leaders. “If your grandfather or father was a thief, then we would say we cannot vote for you because robbery and criminal activities flow in your vein. “So at the level of regional autonomy, we would begin to produce people with sincerity and honesty,” he said. He warned politicians, especially those whom he said have messed democracy up, to be battle-ready as he and some other prominent Nigerians were engaged in sensitising the people against the ruling class, most of whom are eyeing political positions in 2011.

For the Peoples Democratic Party (PDP) and their dictum of do-or-die politics, he said civil society groups would stake their lives to see that the party’s politicians are thrown out of the system. “Never again, I mean never again will Nigerians fold their hands and watch the rubbish, like what happened in Ekiti, to happen again. “This has gone a long way to show that things are going beyond our imagination and it has further shown to us that we have been sleeping. “But I tell you it is not going to be easy with any of these political leaders. Though nobody would kill anybody, we would make sure they do not trample on our rights again. It is no longer business as usual,” he said.

He also expressed fear over the forthcoming general elections, as he said what happened recently in Ekiti had further widened the scope of the country’s electorate who would now do everything to protect their mandate, and in the event that the politicians try to manipulate, a drastic action would be taken by the electorate. He praised the Ekiti people for their resolution, adding that the PDP has committed suicide by stealing the mandate of the state which the world knows was not given to them. “It is unfortunate, but Ekiti people will still reclaim their mandate. “Segun Oni’s government will remain unpopular until the mandate is reclaimed. When Obasanjo thought he was the almighty in this country, he never thought that the third-term agenda would die. That is what is going to happen to PDP in this country,” the fiery youth leader said.

Do you remember this woman? This is Anita Chika Uzowuru whom P.M.NEWS reported in its 30 April, 2009, edition to have dumped her Pastor husband for a richer “Man of God.”
But fresh findings by P.M.NEWS have shown that Anita had earlier been joined in holy matrimony with a lawyer in Abuja, on 17 February, 2007. Anita and Barrister Bestman Chukwudi Nwachukwu were joined at the Dunamis International Gospel Centre, beside Old Secretariat, Area One, Garki, Abuja, by Pastor Eneche, in 2007. A cousin to Anita’s first husband, who gave his name as Kenneth, told P.M.NEWS, this morning, that the serial bride disappeared from the husband’s village, Ama Ogwugwu, in Umuahia, Abia state, late in 2007, when the family was performing burial rites for Bestman’s father.
“This girl is possessed. She disappeared from the village. Efforts were made to look for her,” said angry Kenneth. “Pastor Eneche’s wife called Anita and she told her she was in Lagos. When she was called again she switched off her phone.” Since then, he said, it has been difficult to know Anita’s whereabouts. Kenneth added that the hapless husband died last month. He also said the woman did not bear any child for the deceased. “Since she left, the man had been having one problem or the other. He had been falling sick. He also had an accident. He died last month.” He said the reason whyAnita left her husband could not be ascertained as the couple did not have any quarrel.
Another kinsman of Bestman, Nachi, told P.M.NEWS that Bestman died of a broken heart. He vowed that the family would deal with Anita if they find her. Anita later got married to Kogi - born pastor Israel Ajayi of the Redeemed Christian Church of God (RCCG), at the Federal Marriage Registry, Ikoyi, Lagos, on 15 February, 2008. She later dumped pastor Ajayi and married pastor Godwin Mbamara of the Rehoboth Bible Church, Olorunsogo, in Mushin, last month.

Anita’s third wedding was facilitated by Rev. (Dr.) David Adetiloye in his church, End-Time Army church, which is also in Mushin. Anita’s second husband told P.M.NEWS that the Umudike, Mbano-born nurse dumped him because he was not rich enough. “Anita said she could not marry a wretched pastor like me who has no car,” he said. Anita, however, told P.M.NEWS that the marriage she contracted with Israel Ajayi was done in error. She said it was part of the condition that Ajayi gave to her to help her travel to London. She said she abandoned him when he could not fulfil his part of the agreement.

Sorry guys for the repetition,,something is just not right with the features here,,,so this is the real post:

After having experience with ladies/girls who depended on me for everything,,,I started dating ladies who are financially independent,,the least lady is one who must have a job.
Today am married and that was the perception that helped me.Men don't date a girl who deos not have a strong potential or high hopes of making a living financially.Don't make that mistake,,,Recharge card,,I have never bought for my wife and she has never asked me for one,,,how does she wanna ask me for such thing?Though when I dated ladies who were doing nothing,,I actually bought Thousands of Naira worth.And you know what,,these girls even go as far as selling the recharge cards I bought,,,
But you know what?I bought a house in an high brow neighbourhood last year in our names as husband and wife,,and I just bought Jeep which I gave her because of her being working and proverbs 31 woman that she is,,though she was not like this when I met her but I had to groom her up and am so appreciative of her being a blessing to my life,,soon she would stop working and we both have saved up enough for her to start a business that would give her time for the kids,,While we were dating,,I never gave her kobo because she is got her own money,,
Advice to guys again,,don't date or even marry a lady that would not add value to your life,,my case is a good example for guys to learn

Am happy u said 'they claim to be in Love' because if actually they were Love, they won't be cheating on each other. The truth is that the marriage was premised on infatuation, not love. They got attracted to each other because of certain factors not real love, and it does seem they have had a fill of what it was that got them together in the first place. As a matter of fact, it was a circumstancial marriage. What I advice, is for them to call it quit with the marriage or run the risk of infecting each other with sexually Transmitted Infections (STI) or produce children whose health is at risk.

What is ur definition of REAL love? Even people who claimed to be in Real Love messes up,,the truth too is that something must attract to who ever you wanna get married too,,,but my thing is that in any relationship or marriage people should always use there HEAD.The Idea is that this guy reasons not to marry the girl in question but he chose to close his eyes to that effect and the girl in question just wanted a man she would call her husband so she would'nt be the only lady out there without a husband.

THE Oyo State Police Command has arrested a suspect, Mr. Timothy Makinde for allegedly killing his five-year daughter.
Vanguard gathered that the suspect who was said to be mentally deranged just brought out his daughter while the mother was away and started swinging her until she died.
The incident which reportedly drew tears from residents and passers-by at Ogbere area of Ibadan, happened on Tuesday.
Vanguard gathered that immediately the man was sighted handling the innocent girl in an unusual way, they raised alarm. But before they could summon courage to rescue the girl, she had died.

After realising the girl had died, one of the sympathisers called the police to wade into the matter.
While confirming the incident, the State Police Public Relations Officer (PPRO), DSP Olabisi Okuwobi, said the matter would be investigated to actually know the event that led to the alleged murder of the girl.

me never will I give allowance to my wife,,we both work and spend our money based on our budget.we operate all the accounts we have.There is one we don't touch at all and we invest adequately for our future.basically we are approaching the stage where she would start staying with the kids at home,,and we have saved more than enough to start a business that would give her adequate time for the kids and family while I continue my with work.

The truth is that a lot of marriages are messed up to day because people failed to use there Heads when they were suppose to do so,,The fact that a man looses his job does'nt mean that the wife should,nt be able to hold sway for the mean time until things turns around for the man.
I have always advocated that no man should marry a woman who does not have a job or a trade to support the home front.If DNA is carried out on many children in Nigeria, we would be surprised at the different men that fathered the purported children of most homes.
These things happens for real,,some guys find the pleasure sleeping with their friends girl friend or wives,,and some women too also finds pleasure in sleeping with their husband friends viz-a-via their husband.

The parents are wrong in this case. Do you accept that? He can marry who he wants, it is his cup of tea and as such if his parent do not want him to be happy, then he can be happy without them - i.e get married without their blessing. How hard is it to get it that?

Parent bringing him to this world, and paying his school fees is irrelevant! They shouldn't have had him if they cannot look after him. It is their choice to bring him to this world not his. However, his choice of who he marries lies with HIM and not the parents who are very wrong in their approach in this case.

Your rantings and logic just leaves me speechless.

You are just a lousy brat,,am not interested in joining issues with you,,if you think using the F word dignifies you,,you go look for you type.when you get married and have kids you would undertand what you refused to understand now.

Warren Buffet the second richest man in the world owns a company that manufactures Jet and he does'nt have one to himself,,he does'nt even have a driver and drives his car himself at well over 75 yrs of age old,,,his car is not bullet proof and no security or escort drives around town with him,,

Why ask for their blessing if they do not respect his choice? Let me ask you, are you the type who systematically forces your kid [if you have one] to do your will and not theirs?

Probably you re about 25 yrs old too how can you understand?I would never force my kids,,but if its not right for them I would tell them its not right.Period! Do you think marriage is for kindergatten? How can you even tell if this story is real? No Banker of his age would ever dare what he is saying he wants to do after working for 2yrs,what Bank does work with and how much does he earn?
What do you know about choice that you are talking about?Even at 40 yrs a man can still get married for the wrong reason talkless of 25!Its the most stupid thing anybody can do to despise his parents consel even if they re wrong,,if they re wrong you have a responsibilty to convey ur reasoning to them.When you talk about choice, were you there when his parents paid all his school fees to school? were you there when the parents nurtured him from childhood to where he is today? If the parents had failed in there responsibilties to educate him and they left him to his choice, am sure he won't be educated and the girl in question would not find any attraxtion in this guy,

People who can not even define what a relationship is all about are talking of marriage,,try read up other threads on the romance section and family section to get some education little man!!
