Reference:Said so. They will do just enough today... And gladly take any gifts. |
donforeign:Haaland is not about skill, neither is Osimen fleet footed. But Haaland knows how to outwit defenders. He knows how to draw defenders out of the box and then run against them towards goal. See how Leao of Milan is playing. Osimen will not score today if he is waiting for tap ins. |
CSTRR:That is how Madrid plays. They have experienced players who don't expend more energy than they need. They didn't come to score but will take anything Chelsea gifts them. |
Evestar200:Osimen is poor so far. No movement whatsoever. Just static in the penalty box waiting for passes into an area tighter than a gnats arse. He should watch the tapes of Haaland after this match. |
Napoli is really annoying. Their game has completely fallen apart. So weak in all departments. |
clarocuzioo:The average citizen has no idea, no figures, no detail as to how much is spent on what and where the money comes from. There is scant accountability in the system. In other climes the declaration by the Minister will draw scrutiny by the public particularly since this was a much trumpeted, big budget, signature project of this administration. I could vividly remember that in the last term of the former PDP administration there were a number of parties interested in government spending, several NGO's monitoring programs and projects. On TV and radio constantly. But in recent years you hardly hear anything, anymore. The hardline, intimidating posture of the Buhari regime has silenced everyone leaving various MDA"s to run unchecked. |
2016easy2017:Office pls, not throne....abeg. |
Goke7:It ought to have happened years ago. Now there will be severe instability in states and other territories that cannot pay their public servants this. They will either demand some form of resource control or simply go bankrupt. But my problem is the private sector, organised or not. How many firms and businesses today are able to match the Feds and raise salaries or wages by 40 percent. |
The incoming government is in for it. If they cannot work out this economy by using subsidy payments to stimulate real economic growth and further diversify the economy by devolving power and authority over major sectors of the economy there will be big, big problems. If all it will do with subsidy savings is to pile up more fat cat contractors peddling inflated contracts in the corridors of Ministries and departments in Abuja then it has something coming. This country will certainly not be able to survive the way it is presently run. |
slivertongue:When we say restructure you guys say it is not necessary. A country where 70 percent of earnings and revenue is spent on the 5 percent of the population called public servants, this is what happens. Here they are. The very people who ran the refineries aground and constantly mismanage the economy are getting bailouts while the rest 35 percent, the working population are left to face the full brunt. But I trust that they together with the 40 percent unemployed will collect back every single naira these reprobate folks pay themselves through the universal leveller called inflation. No palliative will succeed and no handout will work. We are all in this mismanagement causes poverty together. Let misgovernance continue. |
Supporting and advocating for good governance is not just common sense but key to self preservation. Half a million policemen to 30 million unemployed is not good odds at all. |
inoki247:Give them absolute independence to hold them absolutely responsible, simple. Structure is everything. |
Difrent:Oga. The increasing crime rates does not agree with your postulation. Just say 'I' will adjust. You may look inwards, but others 'less endowed' will look sideways for survival and prey on their neighbors. The statistics are clear. This is what leadership looks at, the bottom line, the most vulnerable in society. |
In theory: In the medium term the naira is bound to gain value against the dollar for two reasons. Due to high inflation with the consequent reduction in consumption across board (consumption which is predominantly of foreign goods and services). Drastic reduction in the national demand for foreign exchange of which petroleum products is about the highest due to right sizing of demand and supply. In the long term however, things are more uncertain. Many local industries are bound to fold up and foreign import substitution may impact for demand on forex leading to a surge in exchange rates. With gasoline going at those rates many local producers will just not be competitive anymore. |
The final Tik-Tok challenge will be induced mass suicide.... it is coming. |
Another heist is about to go down...... the final solution... |
Hmmm.....Mandarin.... so that when we are all led in chains into captivity on account of spiraling debt to China, you can persuade a hearty prison guard to make you head-keeper.... ![]() |
How many candidates in one party.. ![]() Still not sure if the black man is fit to rule himself. So much indiscipline. Just terrible. |
Reference:Which means the Portuguese certainly went beyond the western coast of the Bight of Benin heading further east. Makes one wonder just how far east wards they ventured. It also calls into question where they first landed since it appears they had more influences on the kingdom of Warri than other kingdoms along the coast. |
Christistruth03:Nice one. These are the kind of things I love to read. Posts that charge one's knowledge and refreshes one's intellect. |
Like the Mayor of Newyork, and the government of the State baying against the 2002 Martin Scorsese Film, 'Gangs of Newyork'.... on account of its 'uncultured' portrayal of the Irish and the denigration of their proud heritage. Anytime I watched the film all those years ago, long before all these events we see today I imagined Nigeria in 200 years time. So apt today because a time will come when Lagos will become like Newyork, a truly cosmopolitan city, a real crucible of nationals of all kinds from all parts and places of differing backgrounds. It will. It will have to. It has no alternative. Lagos will eventually leave its ethnic toga behind and become a city state indeed. |
maestro299: This is the Premiership and the reason why we love it is because the drama never ends. If the script is predictable the fun stops. |
arantess:But he should have seen that the lad was jaded. He wasn't himself today. He was not sharp. Something was wrong and it up to the coach to notice things like that and overide the decision. I am not a soccer coach but the concept of a permanent penalty taker is not it. Penalties are 70 percent psychological especially in the heat of a hard game and I would prefer to allow the "hottest" player in my team at the moment to take it. I still insist Jesus should have taken it. He was the best player in that team uptil that time. Anything else to me was just a gamble and unfortunately at this stage of the season the stakes are monumental. |
Suspect33:Hope soooo.... the Premiership must not be turned to the one man show called the Bundesliga |
Torpedo23:Because he did not change the right players, the players not playing well today. If I mention names their fans will come for my head. That is the difference with Pep. He can remove anyone at anytime if it doesn't work. |
I will like to see Jesus and Nelson play together up front. The old combinations Arteta has been playing all season is getting predictable and less effectual. |
Antonio off. Hammers are settling for a draw. Relief for the Gunners. A slight chance. |
bluefilm:Pls watch the game and ignore me. I don't know anything about football. The only thing that will save Arsenal today I repeat is if Antonio runs out of gas. |
This is the difference between good teams and title winning teams.... making it count when it matters. What has Saka played today that makes him eligible to take the penalty. Penalties in the heat of a game are given to the hottest player in the game at that moment. Jesus should have taken it. Saka is clearly jaded. |
Angelfrost:City careless?.... I doubt. But I know that in football anything is possible. One bad tackle.....and a game is lost. But on balance there is far too much experience in the City dugout. |
While Arsenal has improved tremendously in recovering from deficits. They still have not mastered the art of putting teams away. One or two goals up and they begin hold the ball unnecessarily. |
prinsam30:I doubt that. I think they lost the title at Anfield last week. Can't see them leaving the Etihad with anything. City has too much quality. |
