When subsidies go and more revenue is made available let us see what government will use this 'new found' resource on or to do.
Let us see whether it will not all, be lost on:

* Increasing the government workforce. bigger salaries, wages and overheads.
* Increasing the number of government contractors to deliver all manner of irrelevant goods and services at ridiculous, eye-watering rates to grease the engine of office holders.
* Increasing the number of so called social investment programs supposedly providing relief for the so called 'poorest of the poor' demographic without credible evidence and with no parameters for gauging effectiveness whatsoever.
* And then, outright theft, waste and mismanagement by man and the legendary animals operating in government offices.

Where is the productivity that will fill 4,000 shipping containers.
Where is the productivity that will first satisfy the country in such a manner that the excess can be exported....
Nigeria is just not structured to produce anything the economy needs to prosper, period.
And those that fall over themselves to grab the reins of government do so purely for access to the nations resources to perpetuate the vicious cycle of rent seeking.

Grabbing what they can to buy future patronage, power and privilege. And the extent to which Nigeria decays is the extent to which the cost of perpetuating this terrible system rises. And believe me it is rising. For the sterner the ordinary oppressed citizen fights for change he yearns for, the costlier it is for them to hang on.

Ortom still bitter, he failed in Benue state but keeps blaming federal government .
But none of you including the Feds are remotely concerned about the killings that have continued till date in Benue and many other States. It is the views and actions of the governor that is your problem. Humanity is lost in the corridors of power in Nigeria. Shame.

Yeah. You read that right.

Japan is prone to quakes too.
Do you know how much land they lost sue to Fukushima radiation pollution and how much it is costing them every year to clean up.

All caused by an indirect earthquake. And do you know that earthquakes is the number one threat to nuclear power stations worldwide.

Like i will always say, the proof of wrong or right choice is the quality of governance, the product of the process.
In this instance, if the killings, ethnic cleansing and mass displacement of peoples dramatically cease over the next term then it will be clear that Ortom was the problem.
But it is not clear because these issues preceded his administration and dogged him all through his tenure irrespective of what party he joined.
Fingers crossed.

Don't mind them. Just trying to be clever by half. If a product loses its quality, it is no longer the product. It may not kill you but it is not worth buying.

TheManPregnant:
There is a very big difference between "Best before date" denoted as BB and expiry date.

Expiry date applies mostly to Pharmaceuticals, biologicals/botanicals and chemical products.

BB date applies mainly to food products and the implications are very different from what we have been led to believe. That a food item has exceeded its best before date does not mean it has totally become unfit for consumption. It basically means that the product should not be expected to meet quality standards after that date.
And when it no longer meets 'quality standards' how come it remains fit for consumption... huh.... Nigerians eh..

Which overhaul again. huh

They have told you so for fifty years yet you constantly expect something else. We just love to waste our time in this country. How can govrnment fine or reprimand government.

If God forbid there is a coup tomorrow the same NTA will play martial music and tell us how khaki rule is the best thing since cassava was turned into garri.

E be like say Napoli match worse... Can't Osimhen change position or even leave where he is, he's just stuck at one point as if them use superglue hold am..

Let him move to the midfield, and gradually go back to his position from there... Those defenders won't follow him to the midfield Na

Well, it's easy to criticize when one is just a viewer, Na them know wetin them dey face
Like you read my mind. Just now Kava made a left wing run and Osimen immediately made for the six box where a crowd of defenders awaited him. How will he score from there. Right now four defenders surround him.

Exactly
So it's not right to blame just one player
If a players wants to win, won't he adjust. Osimen had been pinned down by the two central defenders all evening. He should vacate the space. Leave the six box. At least they won't follow him out.
European Football (EPL, UEFA, La Liga) › Re: Chelsea Vs Real Madrid: UCL (0 - 2) On 18th April 2023 by Reference(m): 9:23pm On Apr 18, 2023
Kukutenla:
Stop blaming a player for playing to his coach's instruction.
Milan have two players on osimhen. His teammates need to find the spaces being left by those two players
If the coach and the players cannot see the problem then they go home. Milan came with sound tactics and it is up to Napoli to counter this if yhey are interested in winning.
