Precisely what is playing out before our eyes!

Precisely why a sitting president saw EndSars at it's early stage, and chose to play the ostrich till things went calamitously out of hand.

Leadership that folds its arms while terrorists can boldly kidnap citizens on a train, hold them for months, and still get heavily paid!

These are the same people these youths rally behind and abuse people over.

What a generation!
In other countries where the people are in charge of government it is them that will decide what happens to the University Education question and the government will have no choice but to implement their desires or get removed, period.

That a government readily has money for frivolities but cannot find the funds to maintain it's universities is just scandalous. And yet the people are not interested, but are busy fighting themselves over trivia.

Okay, you cannot get the money, then reform the system, no way. They want to maintain the status quo for their selfish, personal interests. Yet the people will sit idly by and let just five or six people decide the fate of 20 million young men and women aspiring to better their lives through a college degree. Just pathetic.

Ask me, has any presidential candidate described in detail how he or she will solve this problem.... but the 20 million victims have already decided to vote them in anyway. Giving them employment without interview, yet expect things to go well.... what is madness again.

This is basically the summary of ASUU, Federal government, and the decline in the education sector.

You make promises, even sign legal undertakings, yet constantly renege tenure after tenure!

Yet some of you students and graduates feel the lecturers are solely to blame or should have the highest blame...!

This is why many of you are so unemployable. No intelligence or guts to call out your leaders!

Your leaders clearly don't value your education or that of your generations to come... That's why they will rather borrow billions of Dollars to construct railways to neighboring nations, source for oil (a dying commodity), and pay terrorists, while next to nothing is given to education.
With a majority citizenry that is ignorant, weak and divided, that pander to meaningless sentiment will be treated like the children they are before a government they have surrendered their rights to.

Make everyone rest abeg. Religious sentiment is one of Africa biggest issues. This thing is dividing us.
It is called a Mexican standoff. No one side wants to 'fall' to the other. No religion wants to let it's guard down and be dominated by the other. Because in Nigeria the winner takes all and possibly takes all for along time to come.

That is why restructuring is the only way out of sentiment based governance. All the people sit around a table and agree that religion should not matter by laying down their concerns and solving all the questions.

Then whoever is presented at the polls from whatever religion and from whatever party in whatever combination can be acceptable.

Instead of scrutinizing there policy, we duel on irrelevant issues, e.g gaffes lyk PDAPC, NASSARAWA COUNTRY e.t.c.. Out of all there discussion at chatham house, these is what a typical nigeria youth can pick out...as if that can disqualify him
Perhaps because Chatham House is not where to discuss the serious issues that concern Nigeria.
Is there anything they asked him there that is fundamental to Nigeria..... none.
Because they do not live here and they will not be affected by what happens in net year's polls.

All the Presidents before him have been asked questions there.
Has any one of their answers solved anything back here, none.
Because the real questions are never asked, only the peripherals.... like a doctor asking you how you feel and you say I have a headache which could mean anything from watching too much T.V..... to a brain tumor...

The quality of questions will then be the determination of your life or death.

When workers fight FG for payments of salaries and benefits and the FG fights back and win, they just transferred the burden to the citizens to handle
Oga wake up. The burden of a decent life is FOR THE CITIZENS TO HANDLE.
The function of government is merely to organise society.
The final decision on what should happen to university education is not for six or seven people in one certain Ministry to make.

othermen:
When the next administration hands off university as Buhari has insinuated. UNN will charge a fee much more than covenant university currently does. ASUU has endeavored to ensure this is not the case. Majority of ASUU members are currently in debt, others have had to remove their children from schools, families have had to change neighborhoods as they cannot afford rent; in all of these, but ultimately, Ngige has broken the union’s spirit and now there is none to protect the students from what is to befall them.
And who is the cause of all this, the citizens that sat idly by while the fight raged on occasionally taking sides as their sentimental palette dictated not knowing that the fight was to define the future of their country.

Instead they left it to people who barely have weeks in authority and who are not affected in any way, shape or form no matter how the cookie crumbles.

I said it then and I am saying it now, turn on the t.v all you citizens and watch how democracy works in other countries. Government alone does not decide the outcome of the most difficult decisions facing a nation. The people do because it affects them the most. Here we are like kindergarten kids that cannot decide for ourselves how we are to be governed, how we exist, thoughtless of living a decent life or prospering.

How can such an important decision as college education affecting millions of Nigerians be left in the hands of a few old men with grudges whose families neither need the services being debated or suffer any consequences of their actions or not.

The real problem has just started. At the rate things are deteriorating I foresee some of these schools closing down completely or becoming derelict and only fit for misfits.

And millions of Nigerians are insisting on continuity with the same system, the same set of people for another 4 or 8 years.... I just wonder what will be left by then.

Without restructuring just forget about this country, a failing entity with vast ungovernable spaces and unmanageable institutions. Never has it been this bad. Government fighting government over who has the exclusive rights to lie to the people.... the gullible, ignorant infants masquerading as legitimate citizens.

Your business, your liberty.
But it will have been far better for you to have remained within the party to fight for your values in a forthright and vocal manner.
Then your legacy will not be tainted with the vista of self service as it will be perceived now.
You are not helping the polity and the evolution of democracy in Nigeria.

The A10 may be old, but if I was in a battle against opponent with no advance missile capabilities,
Nothing more will I need for close combat operations than the A10 , the A10 cannon Gatling gun is bae.

A1 gunship are old, but no other airplane can carry as much conventional ordinance like C1 gunship, the only problem is that they are slow and can fall prey to SAMs

The Apache is the flagship attack helo of the air force and army it and its Marine corp viper counterpart.
They are not old, they are recent models of Apache I think the latest new Apache is 5 years old, they are constantly been upgraded.
The A10 is a Calvary fighting platform while the Ac130J is an infantry fighting platform, so where do missiles feature in this. Do you deploy missiles against infantry huh

Us military needs to update a lot of their aging equipment.

The A 10 Warthog

The C130 Gunship

Apache helicopter

The Osprey has to be discontinued.Too many crashes and very unreliable.

A Lightweight fighting vehicle that can scan terrain for IEDs

Robots to support infantry in moving sensitive equipment in harsh weather and conditions
The first two just cannot be replaced.
It is like saying replace the rifle of an infantry man..... with what?
As long as there is flesh and blood on the battlefield the A10 and Spooky must operate to keep the opposition pinned down.
Since the day the Gatling gun retired the musket those two platforms have no rivals now and in the forseeable future.

Belgium was past sell by date, as easy as a bedtime story book to read that opponents could literally fall asleep playing them. Sad end to a generation of great players.

That is why I no longer speak on these matters. We are set in our ways and with a few weeks left to the chance (hopefully not the last chance) to be considered a worthwhile enterprise to be invested in, the citizens of this country are hellbent at repeating their mistakes yet again.

Once again, yet again, again and again I will say, that without restructuring, it is impossible for this country to have a better tomorrow.

So we just sit down as fellow citizens and waste our lifetime wishing for a better country that we all together cannot deliver by the state of our present will.

Why not spend half of that to hire Mercs and end this tragedy once and for all.
I am so surprised that with all this insecurity Nigerians have rather cowered in the face of opposition from these criminals and the government and not taken the initiative to hire bounty hunters and set up private armies to secure themselves.
Billions to bandits over the past months is a solid investment in insecurity which will fuel it for years to come.
