Gossipninja:I see. Now the question. How did he manage to get such.... inheritance, good fortune dropped from heaven or enterprise since leaving the service. Can anyone phone a friend? |
No more Libya..... , but Ukraine that is thousands of miles away over many seas.... hmmm..Why don't such arms find their way across the border to Poland which is closer and where there is more money to buy them... |
Ross Perot once said of committees (and this truism applies to their doppelgangers such as 'taskforce' widely used in semi autocratic climes such as Nigeria's), "...if you see a snake, just kill it - don't appoint a committee on snakes..." When will Nigeria just kill the snakes of petroleum products marketing by dropping subsidy and letting every Jack and Jill fetch the stuff from wherever on earth. And as it is for fuel, so it is for foreign, etc. Once a product is not right priced it will inevitably be traded 'under the table' and the result is the kind of instability we witness today. |
Hmmm....the infamous Minister of 'Steel-ing' as he was called back then. All men have a common end. Hope he found a way to take his loot with him, converting it to 'cryptic currency'... |
When all you do with your resources is to produce weapons, how will you survive. Let them eat their hypersonic weapons. |
This is because governments at all levels do not know how to create jobs. If they can gear 50 percent of their capital expenditure as investment towards job creation, within a few short months these jobs can be transformed to small businesses, enterprises and industries and in a few years these will return investment by way of taxation on a lasting basis. But the model we have here is geared towards contracting where 100 percent of government's capital expenditure goes to very few individuals and corporations many of whom are not even domiciled in those states or in the country for that matter thus leading to jobs being created offshore and thus taxation potentials lost. For example at the Federal level, the government borrows 100 billion dollars to build a rail line or bridge or road, how much of that money remains in Nigeria to create post project value. In Rivers State for example how much has been expended by the Wike government in building those 'flyovers by Julius Berger plc and how much of that amount is retained in the state to create jobs and businesses that can be harvested for taxation on a longer term basis. These should be the thoughts of governments when planning and budgeting. These should be the criteria the Legislature at state and federal levels should use in weighing and approving plans and budgets. And quite frankly these should be the criteria for citizens to elect their leaders. For in 'sane societies' when government comes with the threat of taxation, the people also have the weapon of jobs and business creation demands. But here they know they are not creating jobs or businesses so they cannot directly and boldly demand for taxation and so they resort to borrowing which is indirect taxation. |
Racoon:His office should have just apologized immediately it was revealed and moved on. But the African nature in us with little emotional intelligence has turned a caldera into a smoking volcano. Now no one knows where this will end. |
Olowoeko11:Naso, but I thought they said all the borrowings were to make up for revenue shortfalls. So tell me what have they done with all the money borrowed.... I dare not call the figure because you will just throw up.... And remember oil prices are up to almost 80% of what it was during the PDP era since February this year.... WHERE IS ALL THE MONEY... |
leksdigital:Money answereth all things... your government is broke.... just covering up. |
Had this caper happened in the United Kingdom SkyNews no for allow us rest.... ![]() Interview after interview for follow... Kay Burley for don harass dem tire sotay all of dem go don resign pata-pata.... ![]() |
Exactly and that is why your party too will not win a single polling unit in other states. If that is democracy to you, good luck. Thought you were enlightened.... professor... |
Mr. Kassim hear this. There is freedom of association. As it is for the G5, same for Lawal and all others who are fighting for their rights be it political, religious, ethnic, etc. That is the salt of democracy. |
Angelfrost:This is a team that will surely make the finals. |
Angelfrost:Brazil is still not playing to their capacity. You can see it. This team is completely comfortable on the ball which is the sign of a good team. It is not as if Serbia or Switzerland don't want to attack but they know the consequences of devastating counter attacks from a Brazilian forward line with serious pace now that Neymar is out. They may not win the cup, afterall this is the world cup but the team that will beat them will have to play out of their skin. |
coded01:Played exceptionally well. Was the difference between a 1-0 loss and perhaps 3-0. And going into the last match, goal difference may matter |
Angelfrost:Na so. Two matches and no shots against them. You are calling Spain that Musiala was running rings round. Spain is good no doubt but this Brazilian team is more complete. And may I remind you that this Switzerland team beat Spain at home just two months ago in the UNL. |
Slawomirr:He holds on to the ball too much.... |
Kaka my man, I see you... ![]() Boy, Brazil has superstars of all ages. Every one of them giving fond memories. What a soccer loving nation. |
blueAgent:The black man cannot govern himself successfully.... cannot build a viable society for himself and his people. |
kettykin:Politically speaking the earlier an elected leader makes the hardest decisions the better. Within a week the number dueto be retrenched will be down to 5,000 due to influences, within a month it will be down to 1,000 and by his 100th day in government he will be a lame duck. |
The way Korea are camped in Ghana's half eh... Very soon they will start building flyover to the goal post.... ![]() |
America should please not escalate this situation. Negotiations are the best possible way to save lives. China has to step up and take responsibility. |
clinician2x:And when hey are out of a job let me see how they will continue congratulating their oppressors. If expensive fuel will cause a revolution, let it be. When the time for surgery arrives it means there are no longer alternatives to prevent death. Something MUST sort out Nigeria. |
sonature1:Which suffering? People who do not know what to vote, who to vote for and how democracy works for their benefit will always suffer. Living a decent life requires a minimum level of intelligence. Suffering on the other hand cleanses the soul. |
Kiwipolish:The last chance proved why. |
See what the dominance of Bayern Munich has done to German soccer. Stifled the development of fresh talent in good numbers. |
Sir, you cannot win this argument if you think along the lines of the way the world works. Christ himself said He had come to put a sword between, meaning there will always be contrary views on every matter when viewed from the world, and from the perspective of man. Yes, there is a duty of love, but there is also a duty of care and responsibility. There is a need for restoration but there should also be an intolerance for irresponsibility. When one is discarded for the other as both you and those you accuse have demonstrated then the ship capsizes. The question is, is the church for the sinner or the saved, is it a factory or a dealership, is it a hospital or a home.... For what you simply ask is, what is the living doing amongst the dead or what is the dead doing amongst the living. The church in truth is for all. For the same Christ who was seen with many who erred against the law also pursued away other sinners from 'His House'. These paradoxes will remain with us until He returns. Just avoid taking sides and becoming extreme. Let wisdom dictate your ways. You say they shouldn't judge, but is that not exactly what you are doing?? |
Ayamatanga0:And the fact that his wing backs are too dull and static making Di Maria too predictable. |
Rahkman:I think he is playing too deep,.almost as an 8. He needs to move up to 10 properly. He is too far from the attackers. |
Still not convinced. Didn't watch the Saudi game but from this performance Argentina are not contenders. |
Good one from Messi. |
Fouls every two minutes. What kind of game is this. |
