This is a poor, poor Argentine team. No pattern of play, endless fouls.... this is not a world cup winning team.... and as usual these days Messi looks jaded. |
Too many fouls. Very ugly game. |
Argentina is not comfortable on the ball at all. Surprised at the performance. |
SammieLowkey:Naso. Road Safety no go gree register am.... ![]() |
At least there is enough green white green to cheer Nigerians up. |
AreaFada2:Are you talking to the black man that cannot organise himself into viable society. Forget it. Soon you will be sending your children abroad just to see wildlife. |
Reference:And if anyone is in doubt as to the seriousness of this matter here are just a few questions an aspirant has to answer clearly if your life as a citizen is not to be wasted figuratively or absolutely these next 4 years: * Will fuel subsidies be removed or not. * Will Nigeria be restructured or not. * Will the naira be floated or not. * What is the future of tertiary education - the ASUU question. * Will the security architecture of Nigeria be overhauled - devolution of powers. These five questions can be covered in 30 minutes the responses of which will define the future of this country and the quality of life of every Nigerian by 2027. Why can't any aspirant be willing to sit down to answer these questions even if called in the dead of the night. It is the questions we ask now that will make them start to think, start to form government so that the day after swearing in they are ready to govern with solid answers to specific pressing problems. ARE THESE QUESTIONS NOT MORE IMPORTANT THAN CAMPAIGNS... I don't know how Nigerians decide who to vote for when candidates don't want to sit for examination. How do you folks decide who has passed or failed eligibility for employment without interview... baffling. Even your driver will not be employed without answering questions... Who are you, where have you worked before, have you been arrested for traffic offenses, can you handle this vehicle, how will you respond to this and that scenario.... |
Oga democracy is not about 'speaking to'.... that is dictatorship. Democracy is about 'speaking with' people as first amongst equals. For heaven's sake you are just a common citizen aspiring to lead. What is all this... Nigeria is not your intended fiefdom where you will sit us down round your throne to tell us how you will rule over us. In democracy feedback is the cornerstone, cross pollination of ideas is critical if a government will be successful and if you are a servant indeed you will wait for instructions from the people who you will serve. Oh Nigeria, when will we grow up to take charge and own this democracy which should belong to us. He feels his campaigns only serve you well but who goes to a restaurant and listens to a waiter yak away at his offerings and cannot reply for fear of offense.... kai. If we do not know how this democracy works we will just be wasting away our lifetime, and our valuable resources. Folks this is 2022, 23 years of democracy, Next year we will be going for the 7th general election in this dispensation and we still cannot get intenders to sit for 30 minutes to answer pressing questions...haba. |
webizone:And what is the intended use of the loan, is it not to buy food... which they will eat....and then what. With all the arable land in Africa they cannot find food here. What is Ukraine or Russia cultivating that affects them or any man in Africa. Is it not wheat which does not grow in Africa as a staple. But why not rely on what grows here, particularly in a crises. For there is never a time Africa is completely drought striken or completely war ravaged. We have the best average weather on earth for agriculture. And the Chinese know this and come to farm in Africa, take the products out to can, bottle or bag them then we take loans to buy them back to eat. What kind of mentality is that. |
hkidola00:With a sit tight dictator that dares not leave else the country crumbles. This is exactly what he is saying and your response is exactly the problem. That the black man cannot recognize his issues and then organise himself into a viable, successful habitation independently. He either has to be forced into it by dictatorship or slavery but let him loose to choose for himself he immediately heads in the opposite and often wrong direction from his fellow man out of greed. Show me one exclusively black entity that is democratically run, progressive and where liberties are upheld absolutely....at any level. And I am not talking about monarchies, dictatorships or totalitarian states. |
Well we know one country that will not win the World Cup. If you cannot beat the US, forget it. England as usual, overhyped. The Cup is between France, Spain or Brazil. Let us see Argentina tomorrow and whether they have repented from their sins. |
The results of the 3 previous matches in this group has lured England into a false sense of an easy victory. |
wiseone28:Because it is a very open, liberal country. A nation of immigrants which means also folks with the love and knowledge of the game come in and stay in. |
Kane sef wan 'sagalo'..... I laugh.... ![]() No do wetin pass you oyinbo man... |
Who shouted with me when the ball hit the bar.... ![]() |
Baba Schneider.... I see you there... ![]() |
LEXYNIL:Na...I have been reliably informed that the software glitch in the leading teams has been repaired and that normal services had resumed.... no more power failure for the favourites..... ![]() |
Gakpo had exploded. 200 million transfer fee loading... now Arsenal will not be able to afford him anymore.... ![]() |
Cmanforall:Too bad.... just annoying. Manage, manage, year after year.... Nigeria probably has more players than Brazil playing the game professionally or not yet we cannot get a half decent squad.... because we are just lousy. |
Angelfrost:Na waoh. So the NFF wants me to sit down every tournament and be waving the flag of Senegal, Cameroun or Ghana.... ![]() When will Nigeria get serious about holding government to account. Why are we experts at 'japa-ing'...running away from our problems and Iending support to other nations that supposedly have leaders with two heads. We failed embarrassingly to qualify for this tournament. Where is the inquest as to what went wrong... none till date.... |
Angelfrost:Agreed. And we are getting lazier by the year. I wrote a piece a couple of weeks back about how the best defenders over the years in our tournament squads have come out of the local leagues whether to the Nation's Cup or the World Cup. Players who later left our shores. But what we have today is a total abandonment off our local players and local competitions. No one can ever convince me that Troost Ekong for instance is the best central defender in all of Nigeria despite his serious decline and serial poor performance. Why we don't have an active scouting program in the NFF and a functional technical department that evaluates all our players is a mystery to me. |
Greenscientist:I am not too sure Ghana played worse than what Senegal is playing today. Scoring twice against Portugal in a high tensioned game is no mean feat. |
ecoco2014:Okay, I understand. More like politics. Fair enough. Because under normal circumstance I will be indifferent except Nigeria is playing and will quite upset that we are not there doing the business of promoting Africa. |
If it was in the pre VAR years secret calls will be going through to Colina by now and once the second half starts you will just be seeing strange referee decisions and boom.... Qatar wins. |
ecoco2014:Which Africans... Will Germany be celebrating France"s win or Argentina celebrating Brazil's win or Qatar celebrating Saudi Arabia's win over Argentina.... I don't understand, explain. |
Qatar will become full time spectators today. The referee had better help them so as to retain interest in the world cup in that neck of the woods. |
Senegal score but boy are they so poor. |
This is not right... at all.... The NJC should send a quiet memo to him.... That the Lady of Justice is blindfolded for a reason.... |
This is a weird, weird country.... The way and manner people are found to pounce on their elected officials after elections, you just wonder exactly who voted them into power. Or did these politicians vote themselves into the offices they hold? 'He can't speak proper English, he can't pass bills, all he does is to fund subsistence living for a few...' but who voted him in. And where were the complainants if he was 'unjustly' sworn in. But the truth is that he must have either sprinkled 'gold dust' aka vote buying to get there or played the piano of sentiment for the peons to dance to the ballot box with. And that is why we say today, that the average Nigerian just cannot correlate his actions with his experiences. They know these chaps are bad news and hold no future for them but just cannot let go of their emotions and vote with their heads. One or two sound bites of vile propaganda, one or two naira notes and they chain themselves to misery for a season.... only to wake up suddenly in the dead of the night to wail that their mandate was stolen.... Honestly I do not pity Nigerians most times. Because 2023 comes and they are at it once again, more vociferously determined to make their own lives much more miserable by 2027. |
vikstandon:That is all Nigerians know to do.... experts in survival, but lazy minded in every other aspect of life like exorcising sentiment and bigotry from their DNA. Can the black man organise himself into a viable community of peoples..... a big no. Continue 'surviving' instead of doing what is right. |
Okay folks. We have seen all the teams...which are your picks for the semi's at least. Mime are France, Spain, Brazil and a dark horse... |
Martinelli, the malaria giving mosquito is on..... ![]() |
