Once again the personification of government rises to the fore. The integrity of the foremost law enforcement institution is being sacrificed on the altar of pecuniary interests. Tomorrow they will be aghast that well meaning Nigerians and the world at large views them in such poor light. For a government that has vaunted its anti-corruption credentials we are yet to see who will be made an example of this stand and it has become a sad tale to see yet another opportunity carelessly bypassed. The choice to destroy themselves is fully theirs. |
BiggyB242:Not a doctor but I suspect the proliferation of non-clinical therapies aka herbal medications is the smoking gun here. Please avoid those things like a plague. To me they amount to substance abuse and have dire consequences. |
'Death Trap', 'Security Alert' are pretty lousy advisories lacking in the specifics that describe the situation on that road or that area. What exactly is happening there. Banditry?, robbery?, insurgency.? or just low-jackers exploiting bad roads . Be specific. Right now we are in a country whose government and peoples cannot even define their security challenges and cannot find hordes... whole armies of roving bandits within its boundaries despite its huge population and relatively high density. |
He is joining the greatest football club on planet earth. Good one. Who else can afford the very best. |
tuoyoojo:N5,000 is nonsense.compared to the amount doctors spend on thmeselves and their family to protect themselves from communucable diseases. Children of doctors and other frontline medical personnel are notorious for catching 'stuff' and the home will often become another dispensary. During the height of Covid last year most doctors were spending thousands every week to protect themselves and sanitize their environments over above the paltry, haphazard response of government. Thr situation is just terrible. Healthcare in Nigeria is just not the priority of this government and apprently the citizens who refuse to back the doctors with strong demands to government for concerted action. We donot value our healthcare until IT HAPPENS to us as individuals then we begin to blame one another. I tell you folks. Even if you have the resources for health tourism the day you break down you will need the Nigerian doctor to stabilise you before medivac. Europe is 5 hours away. |
It is either 'shot to death' or 'shot dead'.... |
This country has sunk so far below radar that there isn't anything worth commenting about anymore. Make una just dey enjoy una country abeg. Next time you will all think long and hard at the polls. |
Can't even get a decent portakabin these days. We are in a rampant inflation regime. Do not try this at home. |
The needs of this beleaguered country are far beyond what these clowns and misfits can offer. They are just not ready as an alternate government. And that is a real pity. Our defective structure will always place us between a rock and a hard place..... always. Restructure Nigeria or else.... |
Is that not the country where the dead are worshipped. You generally get what you look for. |
At least the the paint markings are quality..... ![]() Everyone in that Federal Ministry should be sacked except the janitor.... He should go down there and clean up that mess. |
adioolayi:Thanks for.the heads up. That is what most folks donot know. Vaccines are not medicines. They DONOT CURE. They are special assistants on training and logistics in the body and their efficacy is as potent as your standing army is able and ready to fight. No matter the training and equiping if your body's T cells are as weak, compromised and corrupt as the Afghan army, I can assure you the Taliban in Covid 19 will still overrun you swiftly. So maintain physiological fidelity. Proper nutrition and exercise in the Covid régime is essential. Bolster your defences by sanitary practices and PPE and above all cut down on body breaking vices. If your defence forces are busy fighting Covid and you decide to provoke syphillis you will be like the foolish Nigerian defence architecture that loves to proke confflicts all over Nigeria that it has no capacity to handle altogether. Give your body a break this season. Vaccines are NOT medicines. |
juman:Honduras, Guatemala..... Life in those countries are not worth two pennies. I am certain life insurance doesn't exist there. |
.... Hahahaha.... I knew it will be South America.... |
Angelfrost:Wenger did nothing to support the bold proposals of Alisher Usmanov to invest massively in the club back then but rather sided with Stan Kroenke to run the club on a shoe string budget principally by selling players to raise revenue and reduce the club's wage bill in his latter years. While we all agree that keeping a club in the black in the face of financial fair play is important, tell me which of Europe's elite clubs is not beyond its spending limits. Usmanov had the resources but Kroenke will not divest but rather found an ally In Wenger who will frequently make excuses for him. Look at what Conte did with Intermilan last season. He saw the divestment coming and threatened to walk away. That is what Wenger should have done all those years. He had the Ferguson type of clout at Arsenal but unlike Sir Alex he would not make stout demands for proper funding or force management decisions when it mattered. This was Wenger's own making. How will you sit by and watch your best talent leave without like replacement and say nothing. Was Wenger a shareholder for heavens sake? The fans demanded frequently for proper talent but he kept on making excuses for management. When that sort of behavour grips a club or any organisation such top heavy power positing can become entrenched as a culture. That is the Wenger virus I talk about. And it affected Freddie and Emery after. That is why the Arsenal board will NEVER go for a manager with a stout personality, to stand up to management and tell them the truth. Carlo Ancelotti was available but they knew he will make demands they cannot accept so they prefer gaffers they can push around. It is only in the last year that the stark realities of the destruction their practices have caused to the club that they are trying to splash the cash but alas every club smells their desperation and is selling at cut throat prices. They are paying top dollar today for average talent because of the Wenger virus. |
We have watched the whole Premier league teams almost twice and it is accurate to say this Arsenal team still will barely make the top half of the league despite the fact they have no European games to wear them out. You cannot have a rookie coach and a squad of rookies to go. Where on that field or in that squad is the experience to dig them out of a hole of desperate performances.... none. Even the Director of Football, Edu has no pedigree whatsoever in the office he commands. Over the past decade the owners have methodically dismantled everything that will guarantee performances and replaced them with poor quality replicas from the field through the dugout and into the board room. Just poor quality everywhere you look. The Wenger virus has taken a terminal hold of this club. |
bluefilm:No doctors in your family?... immediate or extended.... They will tell you stories.... stories that touch. Not all these ignoramuses you find talking nonsense on social media. I know medical professionals, doctors even a couple of medical directors that have passed on from Covid here in Nigeria not to talk about ordinary folks. At a point in time last year it was every week. A lot of unreported cases in Nigeria because by our nature we keep medical challenges private. Anyone has a right to a life or death the way he wants but if your loved ones go out day after day into the thick of these battles no one will tell them to get vaccinated.to keep you safe and no one will tell you to get vaccinated to stay alive. I am fully vaccinated and all my adult family members. We are tired of stories that touch and are all doing fine. |
efeteb:Just as you can kill yourself and cease to be a member of your family and a son of your father. It is still your decision. On your grave stone your Father's name will still follow yours inscribed. What we fail to understand on this matter is the place of spiritual responsibility. God has done his part in bringing you into His kingdom just as your earthly father has done his part by bringing you into this world. You are also part responsible for the outcome of your life. You can throw it all away. It does not revoke your sonship. The only thing that revokes your sonship is apostasy which is the earthly equivalent of you walking up to a registry or coming before a judge and demanding for your extrication from your family, i.e you denounce your father (parents). That is you sin against the Spirit and from that there is no coming back. But trust me, God is love. He DOES NOT CAST PEOPLE AWAY. He is a responsible Father and will NEVER DENY HIS OWN. He is patient and will welcome back any prodigal son at anytime, day or night. Your sonship came at too high a cost for Him to treat you with levity. However, like I said, you can decide to commit suicide, spiritually or physically. In that case, what do you want Him to do..... Judas killed himself. |
This is a very simple concept to understand because God created the earth to replicate what the heavens is and stands for so there is a lot of similarity in concepts. The question then should be: If a man bears a son, what are the conditions under which the son ceases to be his or under what conditions will a son renounce his identity as the son of his father. Understand this an there is the answer. Simple. |
Time to start prepping for my third dose now that data is emerging that vaccine efficacy drops to round about 70 percent within 6 months. This is three months since my first dose and the barbarians have arrived the gates. PPR time is here once again. Gosh, what inconvenience. |
This is where the problem starts. Afghanistan is notorious for sectarian fighting. Just as no empire has ever conquered her for a thousand years so no internal group has been able to organise any sort of viable government.... ever. And the constant tremors and fissures will always produce the cracks which ultra extremist elements break through the surface to unleash mayhem on the rest of the world such as the notorious Al-Qaeda of the recent past. Trust that another fledgling terror group is rubbing its hands in glee at the potentials for establishing a foothold amongst the bickering. And of course it will spill over to the West... or perhaps East this time, striking targets in Asia and perhaps forcing the new superpower on the block, China to take its turn in the mud pit. That so called nation is just a basket case.... only if the rats could stay in the basket.... |
But the united States is a seriously wealthy country.... ...Gave out 18 million rounds of 7.62mm full metal jacket.... gosh....just like that.. .... 4,700 Humvees..... probably more vehicles than the entire Nigeria Federal Government has in its inventory... So one can imagine how much they have in their stores. This US is one helluva war machine of a country..... 18 million rounds of ammo....kai.. Who the freaking does that... The Taliban will be well stocked for years if not decades to come.... |
High flying pastors will rest this weekend. |
Thought the supercop, super-seamster caper (no pun intended) will have elevated the thinking of folks towards these kinds of things... hmmm... |
Philip4564:Anything is better than that Leno. That guy is just plain useless. Didn't you see him dancing the tango with thay defender when the cross came in for the second goal. |
Poor quality government happened. Hope folks can see graphically what poor quality decisions at the polls can offer. Elections sincerely DO HAVE CONSEQUENCES... |
The moment when the penny drops...that what the vast majority of well meaning Nigerians think about the legacy of this sorry excuse for a government.... perhaps is actually true. I just shake my head in regret. What a waste.... |
48 Billion.!!!! Can you imagine that. How can someone be so bold and brash with the resources of a people and still struts around like an emperor. This country is long overdue for a revolution. |
This is where the real problem starts. The Taliban will soon crack down on these folks turning it to a mob, parts of the mob will then be driven underground and an armed insurrection will erupt again leading to yet another balkanisation of the country, the cracks between subsequently filled by Al-Qaeda types of extreme groupings who will once again lash out at the west for all the problems and foreign attacks will start all over again. Nothing has changed in this sorry country for well over a thousand years. |
Hope he doesn't leave the Parisiens in total bankruptcy the way he gutted all Catalonia. Clubs should wise up. Football remains a team sport. Those who wish to make it an 'Alibaba" show will have their piggy banks cleaned out by the forty thieves. |
Felabrity:For wia.... Arsenal is still paying for the toilets at the Emirates. No money. Check back in 2045. |
Is Ogun State in dire need of hotel capacity for it to be concerned about this place? What is the business of government about an asset that has been sold. It was running the hotel at a loss, and sold it, took the money and spent it. What is its business trying to raise a liability from the dead. If I sell my property, what is my business with what the new owners do with it if it was not part of the agreement. I just cannot understand this. Why doesn't government focus on its core responsibilities of security, education, health and infrastructure and leave businesses for business men. The endgame of the present administration in trying to raise that place from the dead will only result in loses to the taxpayer. It is laughably regrettable that in 2021 a government will be focused on the hospitality industry as its core mandate. |
