Was once an addict about a decade plus ago. Saved by the internet that ended the age of the tabloids. |
When players are made bigger than clubs what do you expect.... bankruptcy. When leaders like in Nigeria are made bigger than the country, same story.... bankruptcy. Anything worshipped other than God will eventually lead to severe suffering at the end. Only the wise understand this. DONOT put your trust in ANY man. |
Bbbwings:Hahahahaha.... .... this cartoon is cracking.....My oh my,,,, I miss the tabloids....hahahahahaha... |
Racoon:And the mutation will continue for a very, very long time. It is the nature of viruses. Bacteria develop resistance to thrive, viruses mutate to thrive. That is their own way of prospering. The only way the world is going to get out of this mess is by breaking the cycle of infection meaning everyone needs to be vaccinated. As long as there remains a sizable community of people anywhere in the world un-vaccinated, there will always be a pool of pestilence just waiting to be stirred by globalization and cross border travel. |
When they are told to get vaccinated they will make mockery and play games. Actions or in-actions as in this case have consequences. Protect yourself with a vaccine, protect others with PPR and sanitation... but they say no. We prefer sickness and death.. So the 'ayes' have it. Life is so simple for those willing to live by the rules. |
Well that's good. I will schedule a third, booster dose and make sure this time I get the post immunisation protocol right. Information is so, so critical. I got the last two badly wrong and failed to cooperate with my body to activate it. |
If it takes a governor arriving with a crane more than a day after the incident for an attempt at rescue.... then I think we are probably existing way beyond our rights to life and just confirms that there are several things we should stop attending to and many more things we should rather focus on.... very basic things. You can imagine if this country faced the kinds of natural disasters others are serially afflicted with.... hurricanes, earthquakes, volcanic activity... how on earth will we survive as a nation?? Just a car in a ditch and it confounds, confuses and paralyses a whole State.... It seriously puts all our so called accomplishments as a nation in a sad context.... that we just cannot take care of ourselves, cannot secure ourselves, cannot organise ourselves, and these days unfortunately on the economic front, cannot feed ourselves.... What exact;y makes Nigeria a viable nation... just a car in a ditch... ![]() |
When folks ask why is it that infrastructure in the Niger-Delta costs many more times than in other parts, this is the main reason.... water... and its capacity to move in whatever direction it pleases. RIP to the lost. |
Indeed.... elections have consequences... |
An icon has left the building. |
BigE5:Needs to be cleaned up before it can be used because it contains a cocktail of elements that can kill you stone dead if ignited in confined spaces. The cost of doing that is not worth it to the chaps flaring it. |
Twoclans:LPG... is a liquid under negative pressure. But generally it is calibrated by weight. |
Suplexx:As a man of the house... what do you do when your income is cut or you lose your job.... A. Borrow to maintain your lifestyle... B. Cut your expenditure to meet your income or asset yields. C. Blame it all on the wife, kids, parents, in-laws.... outlaws and the damn dog... D. Roll up your sleeves and find new sources of income... My friend, leadership is just not every man's cup of tea. I sincerely hope you raise your game before aspiring to responsibility. Nothing, absolutely nothing in this world is guaranteed and every nation on earth has its peculiar challenges. Believe you me, Nigeria is not the only oil producing country, the only country affected by Covid or the only country facing insecurity. We just happen to be the only country unfortunate to have one of the poorest set of leaders at the worst possible time. Elections have consequences. |
There is a reason why people buy dogs and not lions to guard them though the King of the jungle is most feared. There is a reason why people ride horses and not cheetahs across the plains for speed. There is a reason why cattle plough the land and not the might of the hippopotamus.... Folks, it is about CONTROL. Reasonable, sensible people, citizens, simply do not elect or empower leaders they cannot control no matter the other virtues they may appear to command. The horse may be stronger, faster than the rider but by a bit, bridle and cane he can optimise his experiences and get to his destination without issues. By 2023 I hope our experiences have taught us that the first requirement of any leader we seek to empower will be a proper grounded democrat. A true servant, a listening, responsive and responsible leader. When we have a good list of domesticated animals then we can choose from the qualities they excel in to meet our collective needs. Remember.... ELECTIONS DO HAVE SERIOUS CONSEQUENCES. |
mofeoluwadassah:Don't worry. Google is working on a device in conjunction with Advanced Cybernetics Inc. The surgical implantation is projected to cost $750,000 and the procedure typically lasts 9hrs. I understand after booting to the satellite uplink, you can even wipe out all the torrid memories of the last 6 year apocalyptic rule of this government... Unsee is nothing.... |
When you hear all the incidents and cases in developed nations that have led to civil rights and liberties in various spheres of life such as voting rights, black rights, indigenous Indian rights to the domestication of the rights of children, abortion rights, etc. This is how it all begins. Today corporal punishment is non existent in the States, capital punishment is at the doors and corporations can be sued for practically any breach of liberties or harm their businesses potentially inflict on people. Perhaps Nigeria is at last heading the way of civil rights and the rule of law. I salute her efforts and the efforts of her parents in establishing the fact that acts and deeds have consequences. It may not be to everyone's taste but the truth his that the pendulum of incidents can swing both ways after the fact. It may seem distant to someone but badly affect another tomorrow. Innocent kids have been maimed and killed by over exhuberant school administrators in the past leaning on a culture of physical violence as detterent for misbehaviour and as a forge for good character. Nothing should be above the table of debate. Parents have rights too. Civil actions bring out this debate for the moulding of a better society. |
At this rate I cannot see Arteta making Christmas. I mean it will be sore embarrassing against the City's and Chelsea's of the Prem world. Not convinced he is the right man. The players don't seem to respond to him, to raise their game...to respect or fear him. |
Pepe the fraud has started again. Poor quality player. He cannot dribble to save himself from pursuing herdsmen... so why he continues to fake it remains a mystery. |
Same ol, same ol Arsenal. Now an established mid table team. Kroenke has destroyed the club. Just imagine who is fielded as top striker in a team that once was a league winning club. |
Wow, what a sad loss. May his family and friends bear up against this great loss. You know in times like this when the country suffers so much under poor leadership tears of pain an anguish can often blind one to those truly great and noble men of which Ahmed Joda was. As they say, they do not make them like they used to... May his soul rest in peace. |
They sleep all dry season only to wake up in the spring when the heavens open up with threats as usual to the beleaguered people they fail to lead with any sense of responsibility. Anyway... as you all know... elections have consequences. Yes, that is my jingle in the run up to 2023. If you like elect a pregnant black bear to guard your house in the name of going big on security. When she gives birth you will remain indoors till her cubs are all grown up....If you like use all your emotions and sentiment to choose your leaders instead of common sense.... na una sabi. Happy 'floody' days ahead.... ![]() |
Preciousgirl:Grease everywhere ....when you are not a diesel engine ....with one massive pile of carbs at the centre. Not healthy at all. |
Nice concept. A great attempt at projecting the sights of your locality but you really need to watch CNN and the BBC World Service to see how you can be inspired to raise the bar in quality. Good one. In those days when this country still had some good values I was also an avid collector of post cards in addition to stamps and I would scour the lobbies of Central and Daula Hotels in Kano and cycle to the now Mallam Aminu Kano International airport to buy the latest ones and I tell you they projected Nigeria, the sights, the colours, the culture in such glamour and beauty. We can get back to such ideals. |
Elections they say have consequences.... Nigerians please...do enjoy |
Two players beyond their sell-by dates and let go by great institutions bigger than them to a desperate club eager to buy success. It may happen but most likely won't. The Cristiano Ronaldo adventure at Juventus has shown the limitations of name and fame. If the legs are no longer there, they are just no longer there. |
Chelsea should have gone for Harry Kane instead. Harry plays from anywhere around the centre circle to the penalty box. He strikes well with both feet, is a better aerial threat and is a deft penalty taker. The only element Lukaku beats him is in holding up the ball, but that is not enough in the Premiership. But someone else feels different. |
Still contemplating taking a third shot/dose but the data on mixing different vaccines remains hazy at best since the government of Nigeria went for the J&J brand this time out, so we wait while data is gathered. |
The Nigerian government should pull out of university accommodation as a failed project. If it cannot privatise the faculties of learning it should by all means sell its hostels to investors with the nerve of animal husbandmen.... particularly those specialising in the rearing of wild hogs.... ![]() |
brainhgeek:Best comment so far. In other climes the intelligentsia will be all over her and institutions will buyout her production to find out what happened and how this came about with a view to managing it. They should call the 'Guinness Book of Records' to investigate whether it is largest ever harvested. |
... Tax and spend government.Indeed elections have dire consequences.... My fellow Nigerians.... please enjoy your decisions... |
Good one Nigeria Armed Services. |
Just make sure Dangote Refinery is not underwater by then. As for the rest of Lagos, Portharcourt, Yenegoa, Calabar, etc.... wishing you the best.... sorry in advance... |
