Lique 1 is not visible in this part of the world so I guess he will only be seen in the dozen or so CL matches this season.... What a fall. Should have done better in his choice of clubs. |
FreeStuffsNG:So how much has Facebook and Nairaland paid as taxes since Twitter was banned if by your assertion they will be quaking in their boots. You guys are just dense upstairs. You cannot attract simple bricks and mortar businesses into Nigeria but are busy chasing industries that are as volatile as air. Does it not occur to you that it is easier to hold the wind in your hand than control cyberspace. Never seen such ignorant people given so much power. Well Nigeria today is the result. |
lomprico: That was our 'Gold Medal' moment. At least we can have a virtual taste. |
What is the difference between this government and the one they replaced on account of wanton corruption.... nothing. Day after day the same stories of theft everywhere. For the only difference I can see between the past and now appears to be the indifference of the citizenry who are either too tired to fight or too ashamed to talk. |
nedekid:Hmmm.... yeah, two miserable pages of heresay, half truths and propaganda.... |
Now, that is diligence. When governments say they do not tolerate corruption, this is it. Comprehend this folks. A realm of A4 paper is 500 pages. This is 194 realms of paper. A gadem truck load.... enough to bury one alive... quite literally. |
Terrible.... Presentation.... zero. A total eyesore. One of the reasons this continent remains the least attractive to tourists... |
Rahkman:Why he is not playing in a top ten European club baffles me. So solid and consistent. |
Elections do have consequences. We will pay for our choices. The bill is in the mail and will arrive shortly. |
And what will Pa Buhari hand over in 2023... What has he repaired or made better to justify all the time and resources wasted in six years and counting.... |
The APC lost in the FCT at the last polls. This will be a nail in their casket. Mercury Rising..... |
The same recurrent lessons. Elections have consequences. Do not empower people you cannot control. In other climes people go to the polls for the purpose of IMPROVING their lives on a personal and then communal basis. Here we vote for all the wrong reasons: Rewarding a bribe. Sentimental trip. Ego trip. Those we empower know what they want, which does not include our interests. Those of us who empower them do not know what we want. So we often get nothing.... but pain. I am sorry. But the truth is that the summary of your franchise in 2019 is a man under a shed extorting you. Next time, do better. You can do better.... to experience better. |
War against technocrats by a government that wants its people too poor and ignorant to put up a fight against feudalism. Anyway, as we have said repeatedly.... elections have consequences.... |
Elections have consequences. Empower people with your vote who are ready to serve..... Ready to listen and humble enough to be corrected. There is no one I presently employ in my little corner who is not accountable to me as I am accountable to my clients and seek to please my customers. Life is easy and straightforward for the wise. Any nation that cannot hold its elected leaders accountable should be prepared to suffer. |
MejiLoyon:Where is the triangle you see.... Because all I see is a patrol team perhaps just alighting from their vehicles and preparing to deploy. |
Elections have consequences.... Do not empower the emotionally unintelligent.... It never ends well. |
SmartPolician:And when the security man at the gate you employed to control access begins to assault your friends and family, act dumb and play the ostrich and let us see what happens. Your response is typical of Nigerians who cannot see the relationships between their poor thinking, failed decisions and sad experiences. Unfortunately those empowered have it clear in their minds what they want to achieve and pass the message down the instruments of their oppression while those who suffer the consequences fall over themselves to exonerate them. Today it is not Mr. President's fault. Tomorrow they shout, 'he has the RIGHT to appoint whom he wants'. Will they disobey their benefactor. Abeg wake up. Government in Nigeria is personalised and takes the image of the principal. Stop self deception. |
Elections have consequences....enjoy... |
biafranrealson:Nice observation. Too many of our leading men and women are not conscious or respectful of their bodies and lives in general. Is longevity not a black thing. |
He should watch his weight, haba. He is in the business of health and wellness and should practice what he must be preaching. |
You just sense that Nigerians are just desperate to find a lightning rod to vent their frustrations in a country boiling over like a cauldron with all manner of hardships when it is clear their present experiences have more to do with their poor electoral choices rather than Mr. Kyari and his misdemeanours. If not I cannot understand why every word written on this sad chapter has to be made into a blockbuster motion picture with unending sequels. I am sure the government and ruling party must be relieved they are not the ones making headlines this week for their usual 'Hunger Games'.. |
Watched parts of the match. Was not a 'crushing'. Napoli was outplayed most of the match and only when Nagelsmann brought in the children second half did Napoli capitalize on three defensive giveaways to score. Well taken goals by Osimen though. What remains of his game is his work rate. When he loses the ball he doesn't fight to win it back. That kind of play just cannot cut it in Spain or England. He should watch top strikers like Harry Kane. |
Kaymansion:Uyo is a developing state even by Nigeria standards. Nothing much there. |
Practically none. Nigeria is not a tourist friendly nation. It takes a people at peace with themselves, that embrace common values and envision a collective future that can attract curiosity. Nigeria is too predictable. It is like a factory making pencils. You know what to expect morning, noon and night. It takes a soulless robot to enjoy what Nigeria tourism has to offer. It is like beauty. It starts from within. And is absent if its only superficial. |
Elections have consequences. |
So called leaders without progressive, problem solving ideas. It will surely be like rocket science.to them. |
At 13 what does he know about his responsibilities towards other road users. It is not a question of skill but competence. |
NotKnown:Because we may have natural immunity aka, herd immunity built up over time and established in our populations which they may not have. Be informed. The Spanish and Portuguese adventures to the Americas in the dark ages wiped away hundreds of communities and thousands of native tribesmen who had no natural immunity to the diseases those Europeans carried. It still happens today and Covid has alerted the world to the grave dangers of cross border infections particularly from non native species of animals. Every sensible government is on alert. |
Duru9:That road is too slow and vulnerable because it is not a dual carriageway. I do not understand why after so many years it has not been standardised to enable high speed drive. No street lights, nothing. Even with the removal of all the speed bumps it remains a very slow road. That is why criminals can pounce. |
Lovely... Perhaps Nigeria will advance to join the league of leading nations where questions are always asked at the appearance of riches. Where the tax man will be the first at your doorstep the following morning and much of your social media followers will be men of the law. The days of 'Billionaire', 'Millionaire' replacing 'Occupation' on the pages of social application forms to worth and self respect will eventually come to an end. For our collective information, like politicians, the stupendously rich and ostentatiously lavish are viewed with high suspicion and are not universally embraced even in hardcore capitalist societies. For in a circular world where 'matter, financial matter indeed cannot be created or destroyed' if you are not known for advancing humanity by science and technology, it must mean you are scheming resources off the ignorance, greed or indolence of others. No one appreciates that reality. |
Vaughanlanrewaj:Stop hyperventilating. This is what Nigeria needs. First get manufacturing going and then get competition boiling. That is how industry is established, deepened and consolidated for the benefit of all. You need to see the brickbats between industrial competitors in advanced countries to know we have not even started. If you know the age long battles that rage between Mercedes Benz, BMW and Audi played out on the media streets for instance, between Coca-cola and Pepsi, between Samsung and Apple, and so many more you will understand nothing happens in Nigeria and that players here are mainly in cahoots, just one big cartel. Just a couple of weeks ago Virgin and Blue Origin even clashed in the heavens with one dissing the other for the right to the 'edge of space'. At the end NASA had to tell that bald billionaire shop keeper that he is yet an astronaut.... ![]() C'mon, lighten up. We need more of this. Nigerians just cannot take a hit without crumbling. How do you thrive without adversity. |
