Highly celebrated shamelessly even on this forum. Folks that should not command even an iota of press but our youth will be falling over themselves to publicise their 'mentors'. |
What is my busness. I have since lost empathy for the citizens of this country. Webl are all responsible for this mess. We put ourselves in it and vehemently resist anything to change the situation. But I repeat again. Poverty has nothing to do with resources, available or absent. It is a mental state that cannot see the way to create wealth or sustain it. Give them 100 gazillion dollars and nothing will change. Biggest budgets ever, highest debts everz yet nothing.... |
Awol1:Doubt that. Why break him out when you can easily terminate him to seal the skeleton cupboard for good. |
So what are the issues about Bayelsa he addressed or is this just another jamboree with people giving their mandate on hot air alone..... |
MrPresident1:My friend, things will be hard in the absence of knowledge. Nigeria will be easy to govern to the person who knows how to. That these people put themselves forward before gaining knowledge of their tasks says so much about the liberties the people give them. Will a lawyer do that before going to court, will a surgeon do that before opening up a body, will a student do that before arriving the examination hall...? Politics in Nigeria is the only profession/vocation where learning on the job is mandatory, no standards are required and failure is rewarded. That is why we are at the bottom of the world in most indices of life and living. |
PlayerMeji:This should be the attitude of all citizens. This is the only way to get good governance. Refuse anymore sacrifices. Just see what is happening in Lebanon and Bolivia where goverments are already reforming. We are just too ignorant and divided to develop. |
peterd53:Yes. Amongst all the teams that Pep has coached, City plays at the highest pace. Far higher than the best Barca teams he made. And if you compare the team he had in his first epl season when he didn't win the league and how it has evolved you realise that pace was the problem thus the dropping of older, slower players like Toure and the retention and extension of a robust wing system that included speedy players like Sterling and now Marhrez. Yes, every coach from Mourinho, Van Gaal to Scolari changed the way they set up their teams when they came to the Prem. Even typically conservative Italian coaches (the masters of slow, retentive, regressive soccer) such as Mancini and the trio of Chelsea's past Italian coaches all changed their game play in England. Emery will not he able to play this team the way he played Sevilla or Valencia. It will simply not work and in his learning curve the club will only suffer. The technics he is trying to impose will not work against battle hardened premiership teams especially those who come up from the Championship where teams don't respect names and play each game like a cup finals. |
bluefilm:No manager coming from any background in any league in the world has succeeded in imposing a game play which does not have at its DNA the english game of high pace, high intensity. Emery has tried severally to impose the spanish game play and so far his failure has been glaring. Sheffield is giving him a typical lecture on what the Premiership is all about. |
Emery just doesn't understand what the English Premiership is all about. He cannot make a success with the way he runs this team. Another season of needless struggle and failure is at hand. |
And Nairaland has done its part in promoting these criminals all these years constantly showing the world our preferences and affinity for shady characters with questionable and ignoble professions. For us it is all about the money, the typical mentality of a poverty stricken and traumatised people. |
But no one complains when government has to spend almost its entire revenue on recurrent expenditure at all levels which means these days giving the civil servants whose responsibility it is to maintain those roads a raise while the roads themselves are in shambles.... individuals getting of better at the expense of society. That is the Nigeria tragedy. |
stonemasonn:What is our business. When we asked you guys to consider restructuring your leaders say it is unnecessary. |
landforeast: |
Very poor. Waterfalls that drop just a few feet, wildlife that are as basic as domestic can be.... Look, Nigeria is just not cut out for tourism. We neither have it naturally nor scientifically. |
Said it. United have raised their game considerably while Liverpool is very poor. Origi is not competent enough in this game. His first touch is agricultural and the rest of the team save Mane are seriously below par. Too lethargic. United may load more. Their counterattacks are ominous. |
There's far too much history between these two to make form of any consequence. You can imagine the tigers of Liverpool playing like pussycats while the pussycats of Manchester are roaring early on. That's why smart money will never punt on these types of matches despite the heavy bankroll obviously available. |
...ordinarily this scenario should be a no brainer....but in Nigeria.... |
slimfit1:Learn to appreciate small beginnings. Not saying you should not demand accountability but draw clear lines between means and objectives. It will do you and all of us a whole lot of good. |
Should:Not the same symbol at all. Don't be clever by half. Study the history of insignia. |
DP. |
What is our business with the EFCC and the United Kingdom of Lagos. Let them protect their monarchy and the royal house of Pharaohs while they hope to get a Moses to part the floods to let them walk on dry land or 'Spiderman' it to work. A people get the society they create. |
Not interested. Lagos is a monarchy. There is nothing the people can do to get a better life. |
It is the people that should act. If they cannot out of a clear conscience then the suffering will be resident there. Said it before and say it again. The people of that State have no right to pity after they have mortgaged their future just as Nigerians in general have no right to complain today after re-electing a failed Federal government last May. |
Skseries:Exactly. Making juvenile match day errors serially. Just a 'nearly' man. His pre Nigeria Resume says it all. |
Right or wrong, if you run from the law anywhere in the world you only make things worse dead or alive. You may not stand a better chance of justice if you stand but when you run you will have exonerated the law from their excesses if true. |
TOPCRUISE:I think we should be the best two teams in Africa right now on current form...only if we had better input from the dugout. |
Adiwana:Totally agree. Well done. |
Performanking:You are being unfair on Ndidi. What did you expect him to do. The guy in front of him doesn't tackle and has no pace and decisiveness to drive the ball out at turnover. Moses and Chuks on the wings suffered for that. And you know if Ndidi tackled hard in his zone Brazil has more than enough free kick experts to punish us. That they had only one telling freekick outside the box shows how well composed he was. |
Game over. Rohr cost us a better result. A win was indeed possible. The attack was bright, the defence solid but the midfield was a complete sham. We need to develop a natural 10 that will hold and create. Ndidi was far overworked today. Wirh Rohr we will continue to be a 'nearly' team in tournaments. His game reading skills are questionable and his tactical responses are mediocre. He can be made technical manager of our teams because he's done well in attracting and unearthing new talent but his match day work is... |
Kevinsamba:Yeah. Solid. They should be kept and nutured. The days of the Oyibo wall are over. |
At last. |
Kevinsamba:You can see Fabinho come in to hammer thay midfield even more...their coach knows what he is doing....ours is just star struck. Ndidi is fagged out because Iwobi is just on holidays. |
