Buy Nigeria pls. Government should lead by example. |
Hmmmm.....nice. |
Both sides are right. Buy Nigeria should be a universal call and not that of government alone. Patriotism remains a personal conviction and in this the young man clearly errs. However government has not one single moral fibre to make that call when it is the chief consumer (waster) of the country's resources and the principal source of capital flight through its policies and actions. And worse, the charge couldn't have come at a more auspicious time when its leader is presently accounting for a lot of resource outflow whose value may equal or exceed that of the entire music industry. We also have to be careful that the budding industry, a growing employment and revenue generator is not undermined by this policy so it will have been wiser to conduct a technical study into the cost:benefit of the foreign component of the industry because I know one thing about the arts and performing arts. It thrives on publicity and what better way to gain that than by taking your work processes to a global audience. You may then discover a net benefit in that. Technical studies should be done by both parties so Nigerians can ultimately decide if such a policy is in our overall interest. Facts pls, not hot air. |
hammerF:But that is not what she is saying and you and I know people will naturally go defensive when caught so I don't know where your conclusion is drawn from. |
Atiku2019:Hmmm...so the deceased thought as well... Don't boast...hope. |
soberdrunk:Reduced wetin. Abegi. This is premed nau. She will hang from her neck till her legs quit kickin. This is Texas. |
jegz25:Only to buy buy at the speed of light. By now Dino should be launching a supercar production line in his constituency to get the youth there focused. Afterall he has enough re engineering feedstock. |
People are calling God here. For what. He gave you a brain and a manual, the Holy books on how to use it. In it He says you should be lawful and obey authority. What else do you want. Is he the one who floored your pedal. Now you show up at His gate impromptu, without invitation. If na you, you go like am. |
banmee:Neither do I. |
When I emphasize the need for proper courtship folks think it is a joke. They prefer live fire exercises and story telling before a judge. A broken courtship is a hundred times better than a broken marraige. Ten months of proper courtship will position you for ten years of marraige for the deeper the foundation the higher the aspiration and the stronger will the resistance be to the elements. If you don't want to appear before Igando magistrate do the needful. All the things the poor chap has elucidated are standard courtship prerequisites of which if they had been discussed, agreed and apended to in black and white will not be an issue today. |
Hopeless government structure. Just to receive and spend....and oh, steal a part. If this amounts to governance even a grade student can be governor. |
sarrki:If by personal you mean like those liquidated in their mosque today then I agree because it sounds and looks personal |
Donlip2:Hmmm....why not governor swap and try out Guv Bello for a season. |
DamiKelvin:And if you are assaulted we will equally look the other way since no one claims responsibility for their actions these days. Period. |
bejeria101:It is rather a shame on our entire society. Thieves everywhere. I'm just so sorry for this country. You are not free to live and breathe normally. Can't go to such places abeg. Evil people everywhere. |
I have been singing, 'change the system, not the players'. With every succeeding government the whole thing grows worse. Now, the apex government is split down the middle and we want things to work?, how can. We said OBJ was on a leash because if the military junta, then we said Yaradua was a puppet because of Obasanjo, then we said Jonathan was spineless because of cartels, then we appointed a self acclaimed 'strong man' but alas only the sound bite has changed... it is now 'cabals'. Same ol, same ol. By rhe next regime it will be what.... La Cosa Nostra and honour or swash buckling Buccaneers....folks only restructuring of thus failed entity can work. Forget all these people. |
soberdrunk:It is your business what he does for a living because directly or indirectly the quantum of it affects you if and when others follow. If what he does for a living is right, it will spur a wealth creating industry to bring prosperity to Nigerians. If what he's doing is wrong it will create dismay, difficulties and poverty for many. The reputation we have as Nigerian nationals is partly the cause of the sufferings and hardships we experience where hardworking people have to put in ten times the effort of other nationals in this complex but interwoven world. And if other nationals question the source of wealth and are generally cautious and suspicious around the rich in order to protect the general values of society who are you to wave it off. Call it hate or anything you want. People openly speak about legitimate effort that produces legitimate wealth because by nature positive achievement is really hard and when you do the right thing you want to share it because you are confident it cannot easily be reproduced thus is of no threat to your own prosperity going forward. I have noticed several posts about this man recently and it is beginning to sound like there is a deliberate effort here to pervert the values of our youth at a time when this country and her people need strong leadership. What better way to distract them and send them on an ignoble unending course to self destruction. |
Equally naive are the many responses seen here. First of all, hospitals don't treat or save patients, medical professionals do. An example being the case of President Buhari today, Yaradua and Abacha before him together with all the first ladies who either died or were severely afflicted while in office. If money could build facilities to solve problems then they will have done so in Aso Rock or other places in Nigeria. The facts are clear, it is the dearth of top level professionals that forces people abroad. You don't go to a hospital. Rather you go see a doctor. Buhari has gone to see his doctors who ordinarily will not relocate to Nigeria just because of his case. There are lots, hundreds of top Nigerian medical professionals but where are they, certainly not in Nigeria. Why, the system doesn't work. And since the medical industry is a professional one it's takes a series of individuals to make things work. The young man has burns but he will have required a plastic surgeon, urologist, pathologist, etc to handle him because to win difficult challenges a top professional needs the support of other top professionals. It is this quantum, this system that is lacking in Nigeria. There are a handful of well equipped hospitals scattered here and there all over Nigeria but there is not the quantum of manpower to handle specific cases at any one time in Nigeria. Most have left Nigeria to 'teams' abroad where they make better impact. Hospitals don't treat patients, doctors do. |
Serial kleptomaniacs. Why they cannot be locked up and the keys thrown away remains a mystery but symptomatic of a failed state. There are criminals in all societies but what unfortunately distinguishes us is the sheer inability to distinguish wrong by acting on it |
Exciton:And someone insults me for not seeing the lighter side of this catastrophe. |
mansakhalifa:You call this a joke....and dare insult people 'who take it at face value'..... |
BroZuma:He's the 'in the whole lotta trouble' shooter na. Do you want a pose. |
Benita27:Not true. Courtship is to bring out these things and work a way to sort them out if you are dedicated to the process.... sadly most are not. |
By 2019 everyone will be demystified. |
Tell the person that if he/she spent more time reading and knowing things rather than roaming about cyber-gossiping, this embarrassing c.ockup will not make world headlines. |
magoo10:Thought that was President Buhari's responsibility. After all the noise day don break for una side. Na now una know say we the people matter. Oya shout 'Sai talakawa'. |
.... 'a thousand ways to die'....'cat astrophe.... |
Poster, you should be arrested for loitering. What the heck. |
Mynd44:What the hell is their business. You can imagine what adults do with their productive time. No wonder this country is so run down. While others struggle to raise the GDP of this country others are just dead weights, consuming the resources of the country for nothing. They should all be rounded up and sent to cultivate cassava. Indolent folks. Rubbish. |
aolawale025:Please try and be broad minded in all things This is not just about Dino but the whole system of democracy of which I suppose you are a stakeholder. Elected officials should not be able to out muscle the people who put them there by the instrument of the courts that are not constituted directly by the people. You may like Dino today but if by chance an Adolph Hitler gets there you'd wish the courts don't interfere. Dino has every right to seek legal relief and the courts have an obligation to here his case but believe me it is an dangerous precedent which can escalate into anything constitutional or non constitutional. He should have very limited elbow room in which to wiggle out of this. |
egopersonified:So? |
What kind of silly injunction is that. Can a person halt the wishes of the people who put him there. Very dangerous for democracy. INEC should do the needful and resume the obvious. Dino should go and answer to the people who sent him to Abuja to represent them. Abuja should have no right to thwart what is considered a 'local' matter. After all the saying goes that all politics is local. |
