sotall:Yeah. Racists paradise. |
One of the best Nigerian DM's of all time. Played the game to touch and with heart. No frills. But.....Nigerian footballers past and present should be barred from celebrating birthdays. Cos with the way sports is beginning to look retrospectively at misdemeanors from doping to passport racketeering and withdrawing medals, expunging records and suing athletes and federations who knows whether sometime in the future FIFA may take another hard look at the whole age thing and some crazy lawyer teaming up with envious football federations seek to have even past cups withdrawn and federations fined retrospectively. Our boys should realise there is no statute of limitation when it comes to sporting fraud and they will have to carry their false ages to their graves....at least in public. So no birthday gaffes mbok. Just parry. Na you and your wife know how old you be. E no concern us. |
Zico5:But in those days the responsibility for every crime was laid at the doorstep of political leadership. Insecurity was a political football. What has suddenly happened in Nigeria that the citizens are now blamed for their actions. This is good. We are getting there slowly. Just make sure these social reforms are consistent. |
qualityovenbake:You know what Nigeria needs but choose to ignore it. Continue wasting your time. At least they will say he tried something. Talk, talk, talk. |
EWAagoyin:Does he not 'force' candidates on and off the ballot as well. When will the southwest and Nigerians in general vote for people of their choice. This viscious downward spiral will not cease until the democracy of the people becomes of the people. Children donot have a say because they are not responsible. So is the Nigerian electorate. |

Happy day for the gunners and her fans. Now there is a real chance at getting rid of Wenger the principality |
anyebedgreat:Trust me the DSS will be virtually living in his house and following him around like a shadow. If he breaches the terms they will raise a red flag immediately and it won't happen. |
noblezone:Don't mind them. Instead of engagement and negotiation when the price of peace is still low they escalated everything and inflated the price of unity. In a few years it will cost billions and billions to contain the movement and then the demands will have gone through the roof. They they say Nigerians are brainy. I just cannot see it on display. |
Silly girl. You are not interested and continue the conversation until suddenly you realise you were insulted. You are simply angry at the nonentity because he did not persist and get into 'bidding mode'. Can anyone force you into a conversation if you don't want to. For your information the only offence he could have committed is stalking if he persisted in the contact. Next time quit replying. I do so for every insult and I receive from all manner of nitwits I accost on the internet and mass communication everyday. 'You are a monkey' is not an insult to me. And certainly not what will raise my temperature a fraction of a degree. Go to police station na. |
delishpot:That is not the solution. The solution is to investigate. Go after the facts. Not ever failure is due to criminality. If there is wrong doing, punish. If it is an accident, help. Afterall if everyone was economically able courtesy of good governance we will all engage Julius Berger to build hill top mansions. That area is Lagos backwater, the residents, not entirely well to do and easy fodder to quacks. |
ednut1:We live in the tropics which is a paradise for insects and microbes. What you offer is food for them. Porous bricks to let them in and enough cellulose for a termite orgy...and with insects come lizards and with lizards come snakes and with snakes come all those useless threads. I am currently in a village and the house I stay has something running around in the ceiling. This is the draw back wood presents. |
That is old Lagos. Most buildings in those areas are are upwards of 50 years old with very little work on them ever since. The general perception is that buildings don't require routine maintenance to remain standing but the reality is that every component of a building has a lifespan and begins to degrade from the moment it is installed. Steel rebar oxidises in concrete and thins out, the concrete itself is under thermal and load stress and in coastal regions such as Lagos salt in the air combines with water to granulate cement not to talk about ground water movement. These incidences will only increase with time. Unfortunately unlike in the west where the richest own the oldest stuff, in Nigeria the poorest own the oldest and they will be victims. My suggestion in the face of this quagmire is for owners of really old buildings to sell them to developers, take the cash and build new ones. If you cannot maintain or renovate properly, your life and.the lives of others are in jeopardy. |
With the proliferation of fake parts even in accredited dealer tune ups, the best bet is to toss your car after 4 years or 50,000 kilos. Then there is less pressure to maintain right. These days you can hardly get it right. |
dangotesmummy:Well, she has a house now. Cell Block C, Prison Estate. Rent free for 15 years....and it comes with free meals. |
mamatayour:Stick to the topic. Let us hear about domestic violence on the other foot. Don't do ostrich here. |
juman:What are you talking about. Every state has a child welfare board. Every major police station has a domestic affairs desk. And if you cannot do these just approach any female police officer you see at the station. The vast majority will give you an ear if you present your case properly..... I mean with the dexterity you guys do on this forum complete with pictures or videos. If you care, it is there. |
What annoys me about these sort of things is that witnesses had the time and opportunity to prevent this tragedy. What did they do: treat the symptoms not the cause. Gave the boy food (at his request obviously) and sent him back to hell. It is only when the boy died they gathered at the gates of hell to address the devil. No one thought it wise to take the boy away, preach to the devil or report him to God Almighty. Just take the boy in for 3 days and the so called parents will come looking for him and when they eventually have their mentality reset and report to the police a missing child then you have got their attention. The man will do 10 to 15 for voluntary manslaughter and will surely get his own beatings when he cannot give 'Alaiye' 3,200 tithe for smokes. |
Themandator:People don't even know how these things work. They don't know that port operators lobby land side and ocean side. They go round to sell their ports to sea freighters worldwide and clearing companies land side and sign long term contracts. That is the only way they make money. It is a long term commitment. A closure of that port will send shockwaves down the entire oil and gas sector and for a country with little in the way of alternate infrastructure it will hot us badly. Once again, the Obasanjo phenomenon. You will be completely stupid to let go of one branch before grabbing another. |
Themandator:The whole thing is so freaking annoying. They should just collect their taxes and royalties and get the hell out of there. Why should they tell a private organisation where to bank its income. They want them to jump hoops all the way to the CBN so when they get frustrated they will begin to offer bribes. When Nigeria is ranked so poorly in the chart of business ease, these are the factors. Which bank will want to advance them credit now knowing it might not recoup timely. You took away government funds from banks and it is not enough, you are eyeing the one you share with the private sector. Rubbish. |
springtech:It is called the Obasanjo phenomenon. He and Murtala singlehandedly disinvested and demarketed Nigeria with their so called Nigerianisation policy. Pushed away foreign owned businesses without capable local replacements. Today they are burning scarce foreign exchange looking for foreign investments back into the economy. What is the result. Rent seeking everywhere and the crumbs for 'contractors'. While other countries are opening up new modern ports and free trade zones we just love the congestion, chaos and rowdy motorpark ambience of Apapa and Tincan ports so that in the murky turbulence corruption can thrive. They should carry their TSA and get lost. They have done enough damage to the likes of Tinapa and other trade zones and countless investments all over the country. |
Maxymilliano:Don't mind the cave man. Let him go to government operated Apapa ports and see whether he can crawl in and out under a truck broken down by bad infrastructure. Whether by hook or crook, the Intels port remains the best in Nigeria by a country mile. Same thing they did to hound Bi-Courtney out of business while laying claim to the best airport terminal in Lagos. Where are the antagonists - FAAA and its poodle Arik Air today. Nigerians have a natural disposition to disorganisation and mediocrity. Instead of helping the likes of Intels grow to attract further investment, their greed wants to crush it by all means. What is government's business owning and running ports. Nonsense people. |
Hmmm...legacy project. Another sign to smart minds that the end is near. Politicians are all alike. They don't want to be asked the same 'nepotostic' question, 'what did you do for your people'... |
So. This is the improvement Nigeria has made since 2015. I said it, the best will be superficial, the worst, the core of the Nigeria question will only worsen. Two years down the line, the cracks are wider than ever. We are not even talking about a performing government anymore, just a functional one.... |
[quote author=danmasani101 post=56655188]Kai haba, after reading the statement below you still brought the opposition into this. Walahi kai wawa ne. The Senior Special Assistant to President Muhammadu Buhari on National Assembly Matters, Mr Ita Enang has said that President Buhari will assent to the 2017 budget while the Acting President Yemi Osinbajo will take it up from there. Mr. Enang made the statement in an interview on Channels Television’s political programme on Wednesday. [/quote Don't mind them. Clutching at straws, looking for rocks to crawl under. Which opposition. Is there any opposition in Nigeria. Is Nigeria not a one party state of sectional yes men. The only opposition clearly in action is that in the Presidency between the owners of Nigeria and those who deceive themselves that they are. In a pot of real opposition politics things will not degenerate to this level before the actors are torn to shreads. |
macolino: No be corruption be ya problem again. Long time no hear from Magu and his anti corruption troupe. The smoke don dey clear small small and the agendas are being revealed. It was all about a self serving quest for power. The masses were sold stories. |
See the government that called the previous one 'kindergarten'. Endless drama just to sign a document. |
Omagzee: hahahahaha.....no be dis context oh. |
azimibraun:It is still one heck of a risk even collectors may not touch. Afterall its not vintage. |
Ngokafor:Hey, cut it out. Started with Nigerians and then ended with Nigerian men. Are Nigerian women not equally bringing shame to Nigeria, prostituting all over Europe and Asia. If it comes to crimes of sexuality both men and women are equally guilty and Nigerians are no more peverse than other nationals. You are angry simply because in this case the male organ is more prominent and visible when aroused. I have and I'm sure many men have noticed women pressing on them with aroused body parts but hardly any will make a fuss about it. It is clearly wrong and reprehensible but it is certainly not a Nigerian only thing and tragic to think it is a Nigerian male thing in tne context of the whole world. If you hang around racists, its your cup of tea. Every nation has issues. I can speak of Americans and their drug and murdering gun culture which the country as a whole tolerates. And their sexual peversion is second to none. |
alignacademy:You must be completely out of your senses. Using a graduate to push a wheelbarrow for whatever reason is like Guv Ortom using his 200 million naira armoured suv to pack sand to the site or manure to the farm where these graduates are expected to work. What js it. A collosal waste of resources. Do you know just how much it costs to train or raise a college graduate whether it is government, individual parents or some charity sponsoring them and you deploy them to do what....push wheelbarrows. Do you need an educated man to haul stuff. Look Mr. Man. Poverty is not the lack of money. It is the lack of ideas, the will to implement them and the excellence to sustain them. What the governor demonstrates is the lack of ideas. These are the same folks that will give their graduates wheelbarrows and give jobs to certificate holders from China, India and Europe via multibillion dollar contracts ala the Julius Berger phenomenon. If the whole economy was down and Ortom rode a motorbike or bicycle instead of a quarter of a billion naira armoured car then I would understand graduates going to the farm and digging rocks to make roads as was in the case with the cultural revolution of Chairman Mao many decades ago that forged the great China of today. But that was born on ideas, principles of equality and collective sacrifice and we can see the results today. What is Ortom's ideas and what sacrifice is he making. Can he visit any of the locations these wheelbarrows will be deployed and look around happy and satisfied without armed escort or from the safety of his armoured set of wheels whose tires alone will buy every graduate in Benue state a push wheelie. |
malton:You and your likes did. You empowered them. They played a fast one disguised as corruption fight. Now the veil is off, the enchanting bride now looks sure ugly, but you are married so take Ango and live happily ever after. You were warned. |
