The Senate should not have invited him for investigation while a concurrent investigative panel had been set up by the President.
They should have at least waited for the Presidential panel to conclude their own investigation, before inviting him again.
Ina democracy the Legislature is not subservient to the Executive. They can run their own programs completely independently. Colonialism is so, so hard a drug to quit.

Don't get it twisted. Bad english and accents are two different things. They are right on the former and the quality drops every generation away from independence.

So you can see that what happened in 2015 was not easy. And that someone can walk away from power in the face of incapacitation, one politically, the other medically.

What makes african leaders sit tight despite overwhelming odds is simply due to the lack of institutions of government. These leaders view themselves larger than life., larger than the country they rule and larger than the collective will of the people.

So you can see that Nigeria needs restructuring more than any other thing. This is a person who has sworn to serve and protect. A 'Federal' officer that has not just gone sectional but personal not withstanding that he is trained and armed with the resources of all Nigerians. I tell you there are many like him in mind and heart and fuelled by the kind of rhetoric unpatriotic people like you produce every day, elevating individuals to cult status instead of fighting for justice and equity. No nation is built by a single man but many have been destroyed by reckless words and acts of stupidity.

He Has His Right To Be Free Like Every Other Nigerian As Stipulated In The Constitution Of The Federal Republic Of Nigeria.
I Am Calling On Kanu, Please Join The Government Of The Day And Realize We Are One Country In Diversity, And We Can Make Nigeria Great Together.
My Friend. If a woman or man has a right to leave an abusive marriage or an employee has the right to resign from an abusive employment or a compamy has the right to terminate an unworkable contract.... if God Almighty has given every man the incontestable right to liberty....then why should a country feel it has the right to hold any person or group of people prisoners within its borders. And call it treachery when they voice out their desires to live as they please.

Look. Progressive countries are those who CONSTANTLY negotiate the terms of the collective existence of their peoples. Even old empires like Britain and Germany are negotiating right now. Intransigent countries like Spain and Turkey are lagging behind in all indicies of development with their ancient contemporaries.

America evaluates the state of the union on a yearly basis where the federating states redefine their relationship with United States of America. companies have board meetings, family members have at least an annual family meeting, couples have scheduled and unscheduled meetings. What makes Nigeria so different that it can not sit down and negotiate its corporate existence with its peoples, states or regions.

Who owns this country, calls the shots and decides the destiny of all. That person must be a devil because even God Almighty does not force anyone to do anything against the person's will. What is so special about this country that people cannot decide to leave it if they feel neglected, cheated or cannot attain their aspirations. Nigeria should stop abusing its citizens and sit down with all groups to hear them out and answer their queries. If not this country WILL NEVER COME OUT OF CRISES AND WILL NEVERN EVER DEVELOP.

If that is good for some, fine, after all abusers have gone as far as murdering their partners rather than see them enjoy freedom but what sort of gain is that, but a hollow satisfaction that does not last. How many who cling to the status quo can boast on enjoying this country called Nigeria. Be honest.

Yes, for wasting the resources of the State. Suicide in any sane culture is illegal and the police had to intervene, but it cost money to rescue her and arraign her. Anyway whoever is paying for her release had better sort her out as well or it will be double jeopardy.

70% of Nigerians know they have NOT made a mistake.
Nigerians know the problem of Nigeria is CORRUPTION.
Buhari is the only member of the elite class who has called it out and is tackling it . Before now it was the lot of social crusaders and activists.
Now you are having 'adult governance' where corporate citizens like MTN and Shell are compelled to face the law.

Who els could have shown the guts to take hard decisions like this?... Atiku?, El Rufai?, Jonathan?
None.
No sir, that is not how ot works. MTN, Shell and co. are not answerable to any President. They are answerable to a set of laws, rules and regulations that institutions uphold no matter who the President is. Democracy respects the fact that President's come and go, governments change but nations should hold a steady progressive course. I don't care how loud a dog barks as long as it does not last till day break. If Buhari by 2019 cannot institutionalise government policies and programs then he is no better than the Atiku or whoever and judging by the experiences of 1983 to 85, this is highly unlikely going to happen. I will even hazard a guess that corruption will escalate post 2019 because of the shoddy manner the malaise is handled.

Once a report came out and indicted Babachir, Buhari didnt need to delay his dismissal or suspension or sack or whatever.
We dont need the threats of aid withdrawal to fight corruption.
We must get it right.
So you can see that goats eat grass not goat meat pepper soup. Animals are not programmed to 'eat their kind' and certainly not politicians. And until all programmes and purposes of government are institutionalised then it is just a waste of time. So people shouting here and there Buhari this, Magu that are bound to be disappointed because everyone farts and it is only angels that can judge whether such acts are deliberate or involuntary. I repeat, no one can vouch for another as no one can determine what goes on behind closed doors. If justice indeed must be blind then the processes involved must be institutionalised. I repeat again. Is here any Minister or Military Administrator who served between 83 and 85 who did not leave government a multi multi millionaire and all were either career soldiers or civil servants. No be today e start.

People should stop this nonsense. Who in his sane mind will wish the leader of his country dead in a democratic dispensation. He offered to serve. That his body is no longer up to the rigours does not mean his mind is unable. At the polls if the people feel he cannot continue, then he will be voted out but to hate someone so much to wish to truncate the progress of democracy is just myopic.

The fact that you are getting 'things' or that God gives you things does not confer on you a permanent identity in Christ. God blessed Adam and Eve in the same Garden he drove them out of shortly. God appointed the same King Saul he dethroned. God blessed King Solomon with the wisdom that became corrupted towards the end. Things, whether spiritual or material are not the basis by which a man is, can and will be judged.

By 2019 they will all be demystified. They'd better thread cautiously with Babachir. In the Stalinist Soviet Union you were not ousted from the politburo to go home. When you finally arrived at the meeting having been delayed by the Presidential guard and you found your sit taken you simply took a bow, handed your briefcase to your KGB minder, step out of the room and braced for the inevitable shot to the back of the head.
Yes, Stalin will want to hear the gun go off and watch his ministers jump in fear while the wife and kids are strangled at home....all so that 'state secrets' follow you to the grave.

If the Presidency does not do a Stalin on Babachir but chooses to throw him under the bus....you can be sure he will make many copies of the x-files and fry his opponents when the time is due.
