NwaAmaikpe:Ozil is not Madrid 'galactico' quality. He would understand. |
His property is large enough to run an IPP. What is he doing with public utilities. |
ericmor:So a tree can no longer make a forest. Players are over rated. Football is and will remain a team sport as Messi can see with the Argentine national team. Messi this, Ronaldo that. They win trophies and individual accolades because of the quality of their team mates who often work so hard and don't get the credit they deserve. It is now Barcelona sees the value of Alves, and the huge void left by his departure not to talk about the number of assists. Remove Luca or Toni or Casimeiro or Dani from Madrid and they won't win Jack and with that Ronaldo won't win Jill too. |
Amarabae:If these issues were domestic to you, I don't think you will be talking this way. In your opinion, government is compartmentalised. Boko Haram and herdsmenace is not his business. It is for 'another ministry'.... minister to talk about....no wonder Nigeria works so well. When elections come and the performance of government comes up for scrutiny, some Ministers will be 're-elected' while others won't abi. |
eleven:Can you imagine. 6 versus 21..... |
Babacele:And will PMB be there forever. Short sighted Nigerians. Only always seeing everything in the now. As GEJ left, PMB will leave. The issues are beyond them. |
Media, media, media....power of information....or dis information in forming opinions. Oya, show us the....not so picturesque parts. Not been inside but that picture pf the gate.... if the photographer could only swivel 120 degrees to the right...the threshold part of the road is.... |
Its okay for a decent quality job. But for high quality, no. |
Secrets11:But the Messi you call played against Juventus TWICE but could not score...nowhere to be found....I think all these comparisons between two of the greatest players of our time is an exercise in futility. Time and chance happens to both. |
Just so happy for my man, Toni Kroos - silent assassin and highest paid German footballer. His decision to leave Bayern paid off big time. Now part of soccer history. |
All hail the greatest football team on earth. |
First time in ages I have missed the UCL finals. Guys just keep me updated. |
aolawale025:Good morning. |
Corruption can never end because it is what 'the other man is doing'....anyway, I repeat. By 2019, everyone will be demystified. Change the game, not the players.... restructure Nigeria now. |
taylor88:Hmmm....voted for recession. So, so true. I wish in future folks will be more concerned about 'why' and not 'who' when casting their ballots. Fighting corruption alone cannot be the the sum total of a vote.... for a whole 4 years of one's life. |
trumpclinton247:Absolutely wrong. If all the 'leaders' voted they won't have the numbers to elect even a class prefect. It is you and I who give them this power and it is only you and I that can change it. |
Quality of citizenry equals quality of country. The people deserve the leaders they get. I will never criticise individuals for collective responsibility.... or irresponsibility. It cannot be Buhari's fault. |
opalu:You certainly don't know what 'blessing' means. Oga, blessings means the empowerment of man by God to achieve or attain what is hitherto impossible or naturally unlikely. It has absolutely nothjng to do with material things. God created things and saw they were good. God then created man and 'blessed' him, i.e activated his SIM card to 'become'. If Kogi has all those things and cannot pay salaries I think they are rather a curse than a blessing. That is what people say about Nigeria. That it is 'blessed' with oil yet the 'blessing' kills everyday. Abeg, Japan even with earthquakes and tsunamis and the Hiroshima holocaust has a better life expectancy than Nigeria. |
softwerk:What is all the excuse making for the governor. Are you his PA. He should pay and stop blame trading or resign for someone who can. If the wage bill is impossible he can downsize, right size or declare bankruptcy so that the state can be sold to Lagos which is looking for arable land for its agro programs and a wilderness for its delinquents and lunatics. |
NtoAkwaIbom:You're part of the problem. Insecurity is not a partisan topic of discourse. If you cannot see beyond individuals you are no better than those in the thick of it. You are first a human being, then a Nigerian, perhaps an indigene of the state before your are a political pawn. Politics should be the least of your concerns. Wake up. The folks you so talk about are probably playing a round of golf together while cutting deals, hyping their differences like pro boxers and wrestlers do to top up the box office for folks like you to roll out the big cash and cheer fixed contests. |
Well at least the stamp maker could spell the word 'housing' correctly. Why couldn't oga see it when he hammered it down.....see why anger no good. Well I hope he hates social media as he seems.Might just comitt suicide if he dares. |
brunofarad: Microsoft has no suggestion for such cryptocratic misma disma..... I sent a copy to their help desk. They asked me to dial 911....that I needed help fast.... |
Vicoch:Auto correct overload. You wan burn ya handset. |
After they came back from church. Abeg, what us the funnction of a church again. Someone should tell me. Is it not better if he came back from a joint....high in the other spirit. At least he won't have the eyes to see the girl or the strength to mutilate her this way. |
OlaMiki:So the probe is wrong.....because the judge smokes weed after long hours at work, visits the gambling house at weekends and bangs his neighbours wife.....and you call someone gullible.... |
uvie66:You guys keep on missing the point. It is not individuals that corrupt the system. It is the system that corrupts the individuals. Change the game, not the players. Worlď reknowned Okonjo Iweala, highly skilled and globally schooled in best practices still writing cheques to launder money on behalf of government she works for. Shoeless Jonathan giving out billions for votes, frugal Buhari collecting billions from states purses through governors to win election, legal luminaire Osibanjo openly defending a corrupt Emir knowing there are not statutes of limitations on financial crimes...the system brother....messes up eveyone irrespective of background and creed. Change the game, not the players. |
biafraone:Something in this direction but not quite like that. But right now, this country is seen as a benefit, not a right, so it is exploited as a rented car without down payment. Na government money, shikena. |
Corruption can never end until Nigeria is restructured. Corruption is just the symptom of a broken, unworkable system called Nigeria. Even a dog will catch up with its tail before we begin to scratch the surface. |
brainpulse:You don't seem to get what is happening. For the Legislature to come out with such a proposal means it has been locked in tussle with the Executive which doesn't seem to know what to do. This is not the first time this kind of absurdity is happening. Trade union disputes, fuel subsidy, telecommunication rates, PHCN wahala, it is the Legislature that will be producing policy. What kind of nonsense is that. What do they do during their weekly FEC meetings besides sharing contracts amongst themselves. Let the Executive come out from under the table they are hiding and face the people squarely. I have never seen such a cowardly government in my lifetime that cannot own up to anything. Very iresponsible people. Senate will be doing your work for you and doing their own work for us at the same time. Gaya should drop that thing and face his work. That is not his job. If there is nobody in government to do it, then they should let it rot. |
PatriotTemidayo:Ask me oh. What kind of upside down nonsense country is this. Who will then speak for the people. Who will be their advocate. Anyway I don't blame them, it is the absolutely clueless people in the Executive running this country that I blame. Totally bereft of ideas and stubbornly pig headed to accept those proposed in good faith. Only in Nigeria. Republicans control the Legislature and White House in America yet Trump cannot trash Obamacare with some of his party members voting against a scrap. That is democracy working. Here is just a mess. |
It is not the responsibility of the Legislature to advocate policy. Their responsibility is to scrutinise them when the Executive proposes and vett ideas in the overall interest of the country and peoples. What is the Executive doing. Hiding behind the Legislature? What kind of government is this. Haba. |
