Corruption is not restricted to looting public funds alone, this itself is a corrupt practise. An Helicopter bought with tax payers money, meant for the police to help protect public life and properties, is being used by a private individual to attend a private function. This is highly unacceptable and condemnable
When you are in power you write the rules of engagement. Just pity those who've been sold down the river. Can't imagine what they'd be thinking now. Don't worry, perhaps in 200 years if you hang around long enough.

Nope! Don't think it applies in the scenario you just painted as the president was a sitting president not an about to be declared winner president.

In such an instance the law clearly stipulates that the vice assumes office in event of the demise or in capacitance of the sitting president.

The Kogi case is totally different. If Audu (rip) had been sworn in before he passed, Faleke would have done a waltz and a jig to the office of the number one citizen of Kogi state. Unfortunately, this wasn't the case.
So what is Faleke's position and who is Yahaya's running mate.
Politics › Re: I Can’t Be Bello’s Deputy, Says Faleke by Reference(m): 9:10am On Dec 07, 2015
WaffenSS:
Audu was never declared governor-elect by INEC, the only body constitutionally empowered to do so. Thus, Faleke was not yet deputy governor-elect and cannot therefore have any claims to succession.

His position died with Audu.
But what is Yahaya now saying. Why the contradiction. Why is he compelled to be the deputy then.

PDP will almost certainly win Bayelsa state. And i suspect the APC leadership already know this.

But the true talking point is how well a fight APC is putting up in what was supposed to be an easy PDP stronghold.

i expected it to be a PDP whitewash. 2019 should be rather interesting
With the way things are going in the country by 2019 the balance of power between the PDP and the APC will have equalised. That is leaving sentiments and sectionalism aside and based on pure performance.

I absolutely agree and have been saying this for years. People make up nations and not the other way round. The quality of a country is about the quality of its people. Nigeria owes its people. It has an obligation to negotiate with, appease, provide for, secure its people and strengthen its uniom. If Nigeria was a father is this how it treats its children?

Ask me. They will rob their customers, owe their clients and ride roughshod over real investors. Thank goodness their sugar daddy has withdrawn his largesse. Let us see how these round tripping, two timing, money launderers will cope. We have just four mobile networks and five oil majors and there is virile competition. We don't need more than five serious, viable, business oriented banks.

Ben Bruce is attention seeker! why wont they depend on federal government when they dont have control over their resources, government should allow resources control then see if states will not be able to take care of themselves,he is talking about America where most states control their resources
We are talking about generating revenue through enterprise not states depending on the same resources and consuming them like the Federal government. We should eject this jaundiced mentality from our system. The real and ultimate resource any government has and should have is its people. They own the land and all that is on/and in it. The government's sole responsibility is to put the people to work. The worth of any country or nation are its people not its minerals. Nigeria is the way it is because it is a country filled with poor quality citizens and not because we don't have minerals underfoot.

You want to claim you did not hear about the remita payments amounting to 25billion naira? There is more to come.

Why can't pmb explain to nigerians what really happened to the 25billion that disappeared when he was ptf chaiman?
Politicians are politicians and will do whatever it takes to get what they want.

Buhari knew this would be his last chance to fulfill a burning wish, be civilian president before the"end" and he gave everything including his personal integrity to get it.to all those who voted for him I hope your eyes are begining to open?
Yeah. That case. I remember it well and have some information on that but it involves certain parties that are late now.

Unfortunately what Mr. Aregbesola said is true but what they should help us ask Oga Aregbese is what did he use the billions he borrowed with because the loans repayment weaken Osun Allocation by over one billion every month. Argebese pls answer us
Easy na. You can do the math. 1 billion in interest payment monthly means 12 billion p.a. Divide that by 0.2 and look for a 60 billion project or series of executions. I just wonder how foolish a bank(s) can be in giving out such an amount on a non productive investment.

So if people farm and sale there goods they will dash government the money?
.. U as a Governor can allocate 200000 hecters for government farm
.. with ur university agricultural faculty.. . U can plant say banana there.... One hecter can take 2000 banana tress... Multiple by 200000 that 400. Million banana trees... Say 300 million fruit after max 2 years
If u sale one bunch at the export market for $10 oga that will give u $3bn dollars
U can settle all ur doubt and improve ur state

... . Think Nigerian leaders think
They can't think and neither will I if I were receiving free money monthly to spend. The allocation and rent seeking system of government we operate is like water on the fire of critical thinking. It promotes mental retardation, laziness and corruption. That is why the change we clamour for is of the game and the rules, not of the players or the referee.

I am not one to criticise President Buhari for attending the summit on climate change. He should be there. But you cannot take your eyes off the people and what is happening on the home front especially when he has a weak government structure and overbearing influence on every aspect of governance. Like I will always tell my fellow professionals. If you have to travel a lot on business marry an equally dynamic woman as gate keeper and do the scheduling. If Buhari is to be absent frequently then he needs a strong, virile cabinet, not a government of housewives who cannot take decisions and raise the family properly. It will affect his government and his image down the line.

We are a growing organisation so we cannot afford to keep dead load. When we get too big then we can afford redundancies. Nigeria has so much resources that's why we can afford bad leadership. If we had no oil for instance we will naturally elevate our thinking. I simply cannot afford to pay someone who doesn't produce.

No sir, I employ people, several, and in the Nigeria of today I appraise them from the first day at work and to stay competitive I remove them the instant they donot meet my expectation. That's because I'm in business of course. I have no time for sentiments. But I can understand politics is different so carry on. Enjoy.

2. If Buhari had defeated Boko Haram since, they will say he simply called his boys to order.

I am waiting patiently for the first quarter of this tenure before appraisal instead of following election losers way of thinking.
Hmmm....first quarter abi. So let me try to fathom which kind of a game we are playing? Basket ball or American footy? Because it all started out as, 'let us judge after two months, then three months, then the infamous first hundred days, then 6 months, then by December. Now by the first quarter i.e. May 29th 2016. Ordinarily, this matter should not generate so much controversy as it it currently generating if politicians are ready to do the right thing irrespective of personal interest. Audu and Faleke contested jointly and won the election. After Audu's death, it's only normal for Faleke to step up and take over the mandate.

Bringing in Yahaya Bello after over 90% of the election had been concluded and won is very pointless. It can never withstand any legal scrutiny. APC should do the right thing and stop courting trouble.
My friend there is also a moral case for the alternative candidate at the primaries. Audu had not completely won in order to 'activate' the powers of a vice. Faleke for all intents remains a 'nominee' until the elections are won. The same case making the ballot one for Audu is the same case making it one for the entire APC. Audu was not declared winner. The rocket had not lifted off. It was still on auxillary power when it exploded so its NASA's fault not the astronauts.

But i have an excruciatingly bad news for them, this propaganda aint flying. FFK, MIZMYCOLI, PDP,.... Get the real families(not paid) of those soldiers on board so it could add weight to your claim, afterall we could see the families of the abducted chibok girls. Stop running with spurrious propaganda thinking the int'l community would jump right behind your spinless back. And for the rest of the write-up and those names he quoted, its a complete hogwash.
No Lie Only Truth!
Like you, so the former government handled the Chibok matter and the rest they say is history. Unfortunately this time around it is not about a school of pre purb girls but a band of brothers with a means to call back. The government had better apply wisdom or else.
