Yes. I agree with you. Same with burning people in the streets for robbery. It's progress.
My dear. This is just one case involving just one source and just 2.1 billion dollars. And look at the complex web it is already weaving to include so many from the streets to the Presidency. Can you imagine what will happen if every one of these people open up on all they know about all monies and all peoples. Tell me who will stand. Will you even have a government left.

Just a few examples. How far are you willing to push Nduka, Anenih, etc. How much dirt do you think these guys have.

Your understanding of corruption is very limited. You think it the oyibo type where a man steals a million and jets of to Bermuda to live happily ever after. Nigerian corruption is like a mosquito infected swamp. They chop the money and lay eggs to form the next generation of corruptors. That is why it is systemic. If you think Anenih ate the 300 billion road fund alone you must be as naive as trying to rid the swamp of bugs with a fly swatter. Just wait and watch the net grow till it breaks.

There is no hypocrisy here, son. Obaigbena said that N50m was given to NGE, but the media twist that to mean that N50m was given to Adesina.

It is the place of the Guild to respond, except their explanation shows that the purpose of the funds was questionable or it can be proven that Femi (as president) pocketed the funds personally.
The anti-corruption war will never be won if corruption cannot be defined. All these, 'I smoke but I did not inhale' or 'I slept but did not penetrate'. You guys are just wasting your time.

When policemen say the public induces them to collect bribe or women say without patrons there will be no harlotry or Americans blame the Colombians for the drug menace, it will never end. Once more, just wasting your time. Almost every single Minister in the 1983 cabinet of General Buhari are dollar millionaires today and at the time of their deaths. Corruption is systemic and CANNOT be eradicated. Have fun.

Look, whatever your opinion about TB Joshua may be, you can't deny that when he speaks, people should sit up and listen. TBJ has consistently prophesied, albeit often in parables, about events both nationally and internationally which have later confirmed to be true. Remember, he is giving these prophecies LIVE on a television station that is viewed by literally millions. Give the guy some credit - there's definitely a connection to the supernatural...
The supernatural is a very broad medium where all kinds of spirits operate. God is there, Satan is there, Angels are there, demons are there and so are anointed men and women and posessed men and women. Every one mentioned in that group knows the future. What you see in the spirit has nothing to do with where you stand as a person.

God did not send Jesus to give us information and He avoided being drawn into predictions. If the Word sent does not save you and does not glorify Him then it is not from Him. There are many spirits out there with privy information. What they do with it shows the source.

Our problem is not corruption but structure. These recurring acts give ammunition to seperatists and seccessionists. We have said agriculture as a mass employment industry is our get-out-of jail card in the face of economic gloom. How many will remain on their farms with these knowing well that the middle-belt, the epicentre of the tumult is the food basket of Nigeria. We have serious structural problems in Nigeria that will come to a boil in a few years time.

Let us keep issues in proper perspective and not leave our kitchen to go up in a blaze while we watch with keen distraction the anti-corruption drama.

What does PDP actually want? They wrote that they are the best opposition, who are they competing with? Isn't the Dasukigate revelation enough for them to bury their head in shame?

APC has mastered the act of opposition that they have forgotten that they are now the ruling party or governing party. Why would they be critizing the critics?
Which one be bury head in shame. Hope you are not saying stop talking because of the corruption cases. You must and all Nigerians must learn to seperate politics from governance. Why do we always mix the two. PDP was obviously poor in governance but they must continue to be alive in politics for the sake of democracy. The APC was not in governance when it was playing its opposition politics. The tables are turned and at the end of this administration it will fall out of favour similarly. Will that be its end, no.

Let us seperate individuals from institutions. Dasuki, Jonathan and co. are not the PDP, they are members. Similarly Buhari and co. are not the APC. They will come and go. The party will remain, govern in power, oppose without. That is a given and the only road to development.

In all parties in all democracies worldwide there have been the good, the bad and the ugly. The Democrats who rule today had a Kennedy but they also had a Nixon. The Republicans in opposition who see nothing in Obama had a Reagan but they also had a Bush Jnr. Life goes on.

Nigerians sef eh. Kai.

Politics › Re: Inside The Massive Money Laundering In Nigeria’s National Assembly-Premium Times by Reference(m): 6:02am On Jan 03, 2016
dancewith:
I think the newspaper should, for matter of urgent clarification, seek for a breakdown of what the money is used for, under the freedom of information act. That would give a more informed reporting and news worthiness.

By claiming cash withdrawal above N5m before 2015 when cashless policy went into force qualifies as money laundering, clearly shows that this reporter and newspaper do not understand nor sought to understand banking laws and regulations before going ahead with this report. It was the cashless policy which went into force late in 2015 that prohibited cash withdrawals above N500,000 for individuals and N2m for corporate bodies, with some exemptions. Before this period, an organization or an individual has the right to utilize funds belonging to them in whatever manner they deem fit. With the cashless policy however, Withdrawals above these limits must be done via cheques or other electronic channels

By claiming these transactions are evidence of money laundering, this newspaper opens themselves up for claims of ignorance and libel, especially as such withdrawals must have been authorized by the valid authority of the NAS. For the NAS to have authorized such withdrawals means there must have been a purpose for the withdrawal and these should have been the purview of this reporting, rather than a blanket labeling of transactions done by the NAS as acts of crime

I can be sure the banks mentioned therein would never have paid those cheques if the authorized signatories of the NAS had not signed or if the withdrawal of such sums constituted a violation of extant regulations. Please also note that what the money laundering law provided, which I suppose was the confusion of this reporter, is that whenever withdrawal in such sums are made, the bank must report such transactions to the Nigerian Financial Intelligence Unit, which is an arm of EFCC

The purpose of this report is for NFIU to consider if there is/are any reason to treat such transactions as suspicious and should they think so, seek clarification
Thank you. We are now firmly in the era of sensationalism. The media is exploiting the 'figure frenzy'. All you need to do is throw up some tale, color it with 'billions' and sell papers. The fact is Nigerians have given these assembly folks billions in salaries, allowances and perks. How they expect them to access these funds within guidelines the paper should state. They should tell us where the monies come from, what they are meant for, exactly where the legal line is crossed and what would have been the right thing to do.
Politics › Re: Inside The Massive Money Laundering In Nigeria’s National Assembly-Premium Times by Reference(m): 5:31am On Jan 03, 2016
But where are the monies from and what are the monies for that make it money laundering. Because all I can see there is a case of contravention of the CBN Act by the Clerks the likes of which should not be if proper channels are opened to them. The figures quoted donot look in excess of those legally appropriated to them. And you cannot accuse me of withdrawing my allowances how and when I like. Can't see the laundering here.

'Horrid abuse of financial regulations'. How do you pay these people these massive amounts without contravening. How are they being paid now. How does government, any government do business without contravening.

You should talk to her. She regrets a lost love.
Ask the details of the meeting not to quarrel but to work towards your marriage. Tell her the dangers of the ex, reassure her of your love. But let her if she messes up she is gone.

She met up with an ex who never had sex with her but it resurrected old feelings. Let her know the guy might not feel the same and she should think if she is willing to end her marriage for that.

Part of your duties as a husband and leader of your home is guidance. God is ur strength.
Yes because she is a woman and you happen to be one. If the person were to be a man your response will be to call him all sorts of colorful names.
The bible says, 'if a man looks upon a woman (and vice-versa) lustfully, such a man has committed sin in his heart'. This one has moved on from lust to a statement of intent and you are sugar-coating things when the lady is gone already.

If you don't know then you are part of the problem Nigeria faces. A citizenry without education, morals and values. Isn't it clear that these so called airforce cadets (whatever that means) took laws into their hands. Isn't it clear they rejected the intervention of the rightful authority in the police. Isn't it clear that the military (and you pitiful citizen) have not emancipated yourselves from the mental shackles of decades of military rule where they are police, judge and jury (and in this case jailers and increasingly executioners) and where they tower above the police in issues of civil disputes. When there is impunity everywhere from the very top, why wouldn't this happen, why wouldn't civilians be gunned down by the military regularly, why wouldn't needless insurgencies, militants and secessionists be created by the state, why wouldn't our institutions be undermined. I will never blame those with power, I will rather blame those who offer them a blank cheque and will away their humanity.
