searchiing4love:
It is now crystal clear that Linda Ikeji's source of wealth is dirty and questionable due to her weak defense on allegations levelled against her concerning the #Dasuki gate scandal. I believe her blogging business is just a smoke screen to cover up her shady deals and political romance with Abuja big wigs. No sane mind would be convinced that linda maintains that life of affluence through selling of ads and blogging. As far as I'm concerned her blog and traffic is over hyped and is no match for Nairaland in publicity and traffic. Judging by traffic, the owner of Nairaland should have bought a private jet if it was easy as Linda portrays it to be. Most people attacked Linda's accusers on ethnic and tribal sentiments forgetting that in every rumor their is an iota of truth. Linda's show off on the newly acquired property in the most expensive area of Lagos on social media is enough reasons why the authorities need to beam their search lights on her. Blogging can never buy you a house in banana island no matter how hard you try to sugar coat your earnings. Don't forget that irrespective of what she earns, she spends money too and also portrays herself as the bread winner of her family meaning more responsibilities on her income. All this responsibilities and assets on that multicolored haggard website in the name of blogginghuh Hell no. I won't be surprised if she is finally implicated in this arms saga. It shall never be well with anyone who benefited from this blood money cos I lost a dear friend in battle early this year and it saddens me to read about these millions and billions flying around sad sad
Of course she is a criminal. No doubt about that. Wealth builds and explodes. It doesn't fall from heaven. I repeat again, 80 percent of our economy, of our GDP is fuelled by 'black money'.

Having said that you cannot attribute the death of every soldier, airman or sailor to equipment or the lack of it as much as you cannot be certain that the best equipment the world has to offer will guarantee the safe return of every combatant in every conflict. Death and the military go hand in glove and every soldier who signs up knows this. That is why they are special and must be honoured in life and moreso in death.

This has nothing to do with buhari. The military killed two of the clerics sons along with other worshipers last year when Jonathan was the president.
The cleric and his followers have a long history of violent confrontations with the mitary. The man and his pple are very stubborn. In zaria they are above the law.

What Nigerians should be ocupied with right now shuld be how to stop the confrontations going forward. There is Realy noting new about this latest face off. It has happened many times in the past.

Both the Shiite pple and the military are culpable. One thing will always lead to the other.

Recall the COAS convoy was attacked few weeks ago and 2 soldiers lost their lives. From the report i got ,the shiite guys refused to leave the major road for the convoy and other road users. At some point they fired something (not bullet) at the coas while he was trying to persuade them to leave. The man had to take cover bfor his soldiers went on rampage.

Now nobody is shouting ethnic cleansing because is a northern affair. I wonder what pple would have said if it was buratai vs a southern religious group.

My advise.
Let's take it easy with buhari. From the look of things buhari has been fair enough. From the prosecution of the northern elites, @dasukigate, to the killing of boko haram terrorists. Pls let's cut him some slack on this episode.
Please think with your head. Right now students are on protest and will surely attack any law enforcement officer.. Does it give anyone the right to gun them down en-masse. The COAS was under threat. He should have been whisked away, the situation contained and the perpetuator arrested. It is only when under sustained gun fire or the threat by a much larger armed group can deadly force be justified and even then not on this scale.
The authorities are escalating conflicts all over the country through stupid incidents they have no resources to contain. Let us see what happens when the whirlwind is ripe for harvest. Yours is to be defending individuals. Don't look at the bigger picture you hear. BH has out-lived 3 presidents. Which of them is being defended today. Better be wise.

My views on the GEJ led government remain unchanged. In my opinion it remains the best government so far. The indices are not apparent until put into cöntext. What we are seeing here is about financial probity. About monetary issues which constitute just a fraction of governance. I know it means so much to Nigerians but that is where we miss it. The much vaunted anti-corruption war even if won (which is impossible) will not impact on the economy or raise the standards of living like we think.

Practically speaking. Not a penny is being stolen right? How come we are getting worse. If a trauma patient is patched up he gets better by the day not worse. Money, the gain of it or the loss of it is not the one and only, front and centre challenge facing Nigeria and it is on this basis I judge.

GEJ obviously has a few character flaws but which president hasn't and if he wanted to leverage on anti-corruption there were enough bad governments before him to exploit.

Only in wildest dream, my friend. GEJ, being a former C-in-C can not be publicly questioned. His government can be probed but he won't be the one in jail, his former aides maybe.wink
But he can answer and should answer to a special panel of inquiry to unravel the truth. It can be held off camera to honour him but if found guilty what honour are we speaking about. He must be held accountable. As the Head of State and Government responsibility ultimately rests on his laps.

Politicians re liars judge them by their work not by their words. In electioneering, politician implore all kinds of tacticst to undermind their opponent. Again it will be unfair for us to assume or believe pmb will solve all the problems pdp left behind within 6months. Pdp should learn to accept defeat and work with the present administration so that nigeria will move forward. They should not be putting obstacles on the way of the new administration to create the impression that they can never do better than them. We should allow the electorates to judge that during election period
Obstacles. What are the obstacles the PDP is putting up. A one party state....they should just roll over and die so that the campaign promises will die too. Is that what you want.

All those defending PDP for destroying the economy are retardeens and should be ignored. Fact is PDP under Jonathan messed up the economy through massive looting! This is affecting a lot of things including inadequate funds to pay salaries and attend to decaying infrastructure! Buhari needs to raise alarm about this state of affairs so that the whole world will know the rot he is trying to clear! In a sane clime, people like Ekweremadu and other PDP leaders are supposed to be in jail or go into hiding out of shame! Ironically, they are the ones making the loudest noise! Shame on them!
And when the whole world knows the rot he is trying to clear then what. Is Jonathan still stealing money till now. He saw what was in the purse since May, May, May!!! What has the revelations of massive theft got to do with plans, programs and actions. Because thieves broke into your house in May you will not pay your house rent in December or children's school fees in January. Did they steal your job as well. I have been saying it for months. 50, 60% loss of oil income does not translate to 0% development. If your salary is cut in half is it the end of the world. Cut waste, tighten budget, work harder that's all.

Hmmm. APC. The start up political capital is fast draining with little investments on ground. Na bankruptcy be dat oh....

Of course hindsight is 20 20. Every government looks better at the start. Let us see. After the military OBJ looked good for a while, after OBJ Yaradua/GEJ for a while. Wise people take position for a better perspective. He should know that The difference between then and now is democracy which has given an opportunity for change. So if he wishes for a one-party autocracy then he better buckle up for the long haul because he can't wish the PDP away and will not be able to distract from the acts and performances of the government of the day. You simply cannot destroy a system that brought you to power and expect to survive. Ask the PDP. Whether Keyamo likes it or not the 'desirability curve' between the PDP and the APC will intersect. It is how democracy works.
Christianity Etc › Re: Christ's Return Is Imminent by Reference(m): 2:24am On Dec 14, 2015
I think you are refering to the rapture. As for Christ He comes to anyone who believes and is saved. As to the recommendation of what to wear, eat, etc., you have to be careful on the one hand to warn people that tatoos for instance represent ungodly desires but removing them does not 'save' one thoughtless of sanctifying him. This is purely of God, a gift we should accept because I personally have issues with people trying to impress God with acts. For no man can 'eye service', (buy) salvation by the law. Even if you wear only loin cloth and Moses sandals you will still be saved by grace.
Christianity Etc › Re: 8 false Teachings by Churches And The Biblical Truths Concerning them. by Reference(m): 2:02am On Dec 14, 2015
Oga. Go back to the old testament for God's view. One of the cardinal commandments is:
'THOU SHALT HAVE NO OTHER GOD BESIDES ME.

Thou shalt not BOW DOWN to ANYTHING (in existence) but me.

Meaning: God does not and will not compete or contend with anything for your desires and attention. Be it your body, your job, your food, your Saturday football match, your pastor, your life. Anything can become an idol and any service therof will become sin.

If you are 'born again' God gives you His Spirit and this makes you realise your errors and moderates your thoughts and deeds in line with His Will (His Word). It is up to your soul to process (weigh) what He is saying and act appropriately.

When people begin to 'weigh' the Word it is evident that they are either not in touch with God's Spirit - not born again or are shutting down their connection with God because in Christ there is NO ARGUMENT as to what is right or wrong.

Using your examples. There is absolutely nothing you can say to me that will make me 'realise' drinking alcohol and smoking is right or acceptable because the Spirit says so to me. And for me to differ is to exalt myself and my acts above God. It goes beyond biblical or theological arguments.

As a CHILD you do what your FATHER says. You don't pull out a manual to inquire if you should. The bible doesn't 'say'. The Spirit does. And they that are led by the Spirit of God are the SONS of God.

Spending billions to build capacity worship centres for thousands of hungry and unhappy people. Jesus fed thousands with the few he had. The irony of life.
You will hopefully understand one day that Jesus being 'the bread of life' is also fed to multitudes daily when you begin to 'hunger after righteousness'. For man shall not live by bread alone but by every Word... And that Word became flesh (bread).

Think of these things and be enlightened. They like the Western church that majors on charity at the expense of the Word but when the people ate and ate, they got up to play and having found alternative sources of food has abandoned the faith and the church is being deserted. But Jesus speaking said, 'I will give you the kind of water to drink in which you thirst no more...' Think of these things.

Tomorrow these people may take up arms against the state and guess who will be the worse for it, yes, the civilian. If these people are unable to put out fires properly, they should be wary about starting them.
