Wow, so what happened to the ebola warrior, hmmmm the power of incumbency sha.... |
Akiika:Hey, smart boy. And what makes Bayelsa business unfriendly while Lagos is. Is it not investment in infrastructure both social and economic that Nigerians have denied the peoples despite discovering oil there and taking out billions from the ground over the decades. Please just keep quiet. Even if the oil majors fail to recognise this and successive governments have also, the people have a right to express dismay at individuals who are in a position but fail to do so and pretend to love the peoples at election time. What is love if not giving and doing so sacrificially. What is or has Bruce sacrificed for the peoples of Bayelse to deserve their vote (entrusting their destiny into his hands). Are they not correct to anticipate that he will just take their collective wealth and send it out claiming 'business unfriendliness'. Abeg think. They have every right to be cautious. What makes you and I educated and enterprising is the investments we have benefitted from. The peoples of the Niger-Delta have been denied this by Nigeria in cahoots with fhe IOC's for decades to keep those parts in the 'dark'. Now people are calling into question their leaders and we still have a problem with it. Tomorrow when the north wakes up, drops the toga of religious extremism and political feudalism and demands real accountability of its leaders to halt the spread of terrorism we will shout them down abi. Afterall what do they want with schools since 'boko' is 'haram' abi. |
Omooba77:I am so sorry but I just.....can't......help....but.... notice the names. Senator Heineken, Evangelist Foster, Hon Nelson Belief, Irene Digitimie, Hon Clever, Austin Dressman, Hon Whiskey,......even the Chairman of the electoral committee General Idi A.......don't ask me... |
Abiolainfo:Security is your business mister. If you cause trouble, you will get trouble. The currency devaluation is the right move. Pay more taxes and wean yourself off crude oil. That's in your hands too. Learn to be a responsible citizen and play your part. |
Abiolainfo:He's achieved 98% of what I expect. Perhaps only the PIB left. |
Category 4 storm or magnitude 6.5 earthquake, call it what you want. |
Wike is one determined son of a gun. APC be afraid. Be very afraid. I like Peterside a lot but..... |
crudedude:It means more control of the oil sector by Nigeria and the communities where exploration (exploitation) has been undertaken for the last 40 years. It means bad news for the status quo. The unions are fighting for the first point, the communities the second while the rest of Nigeria is desperately hanging onto the last. |
So what have you been up to girl..... (her reply), 'its my life.....its my life.....' ( sorry Dr. Alban). |
Bosville:In this part of the world there is no correlation between the two. Where are those yelling about IK Uche, the in form, goal scoring, Super Eagles messiah. Abeg make I hear word. |
Descartes:You have a serious point. Even if you had the Executive and Legislature working well. Will anyone try sitting on a two-legged stool. |
lydelara:You know very little about the Nigerian military and its role post civil war to date. That the GEJ government even thought about approaching the US government for arms is the question. Apart from the Hercules heavy lift transport can you name one piece of American weaponry in the inventory of Nigeria since independence in good and bad times. Why we stupidly think America will sell us weapons in our time of need is baffling. The difference is clear. America and the west will only sell if they have a strategic interest in the outcome of the war. In this case they don't care whether we swim or sink. Russia on the other hand will sell to anyone to make money. Call it double dealing all you want but it helped Gowon win the war and keep the Nigeria you see while the west turned its back against Nigeria through 68 to 1970. It was only when they saw the tide turning in favour of Nigeria that they pretended to help. America is not our strategic partner. They want a weak, divided and trouble ridden Nigeria for obvious reasons. |
Taiye4Christ:They've been at war for over a decade. First a civil war then the Libyan fallout, the Tuareg insurrection, now this. Do we think their military won't seek to refresh its inventory from time to time. |
Most likely a legit transaction between the Chadian and Russian governments. They should just state why they had to stop over without prior notice. |
Build vertical not horizontal. Its far cheaper. Multi-rise buildings instead of these repulsive shanties people call houses everywhere. |
Olacharles:What do you mean by install. Then why do you vote. Why do you wait for a man like you to be installing while all you do is follow. Please don't equate stability with progress or quiet with comfort. Cote'd Ivorie under Houphet Boigny was an oasis of 'stability' and 'progress' then he died and.... Much as he has raised an opposition empire the democratic benefits accrue to other parts of Nigeria which are flexing and building political muscles. The south-west and Lagos in particular is in political kindergarten. No debates, no elections, no pair reviews, nothing. Just wait till Tinubu is gone. He's taken the APC this far. The smart money should be on building institutions that can endure. Reading further. Yes a good leader should produce a good successor but who is the 'leader' in Lagos. Should Fashola not have been given the task of 'selecting' his successor. Why is his judgement in this case under question. Simple, Fashola is not quality enough to take top top decisions. It is like saying grandpa gave birth and raised me and then wants to sire my kids as well. You may have Obama chipping a word for Hlllary Clinton but Jimmy Carter, now that's a laugh. |
benlay:If Chinese companies were making most components that go into say the M1-A1 or M1-A2 or the Apache or the Raptor then trust the Chinese everyone will have a copy of those things as they have flooded the world with AK's and T-72's. |
ocelot2006:Of course. But the term 'battleship' is a specific type of 'warship' used to destroy other vessels or beach head fortifications with massive guns and munitions in the wars of the 30's up to the 50's. The advent of the ship killing missiles and the changing nature of warfare has rendered them useless. Navies round the world go for smaller, quicker and stealthier vessels like Corvettes and Destroyers to protect and assault. What will you do with a huge battleship against pirates or militants.... |
anonimi:That most parts of American tanks and other hardware come from China. This is ridiculous. Top grade weaponry is not made in such large quantities to necesitate manufacture offshore. What China offers in terms of cheap manufacturing does not apply to the american military. That's why in the independent global arms market you cannot get American weaponry or clones to buy. They make everything themselves. |
anonimi:Don't mind him. We use the term 'maintenance culture' without thinking that the term 'culture' means a collection of societal values. Is it only government that has values. What about the people. Pissing on toilet floors, stealing lamp posts, bridge rails and scraping gravel of road shoulders. We are all culpable. |
BackDatAssUp:That's what I've been saying. The SBS is established essentially on a British military doctrine dissimilar to what the American SEALS operate. Our military TRADOC like many other aspects of our lives is British based and it will be extremely difficult to integrate it with American Military TRADOC. |
BackDatAssUp:The last paragraph is not true. |
PROUDIGBO:Nobody builds battleships anymore. In naval warfare the era of the battleship is over. Radar, antiship missiles and attack submarines have made battleships floating grave yards. |
MzPreshie:Calll her goat or dog first. Or whatever you women call philandering men. Why the soft touch. Advice ko, advice ni. |
dridowu:What poverty. All I see is diligence and pride. What I see is a man willing to protect and maintain his assets. Such people I want to identify with. Such people are open to investment. Such people do not lack. I'm sorry but in my opinion poverty is a mindset first and this person doesn't have it. I will rather board his keke than a broke a.s.s. airline that will send people to the afterlife. |
Shows that cyber-popularity counts for little on the field of battle. |
And the native doctor lives on. Is this jazz or protective psychology at work. |
Must be 17. And its more like quantitative reasoning. |
AlfaSeltzer:Go where. Can you remove the pyramids of Egypt. You better pray it gets worse, far worse before Christmas so that Arsenal can stay up with a new gaffer just in time. |
asha80:Fantastic job. The landfill on the Enugu-Portharcourt expressway is filled to the brim so he creates new ones in town on the Portharcourt road that is so bad if you happen to 'go slow' near one of his mega trash bins you will seek the Lord in prayer. Even pastors swear and curse on that road. |
Afam4eva:...hmm let me try. He's 5ft 11 inches tall and built like a truck....an F150....2010 model.... |
thunder74:If it is by popular support, fine but if it is an imposition it may just be a continuation of bovine expellants aka bull crap. |
