Lagos takes the lead! the sharpness lagos instills in a child ehn is epic. Just a few weeks ago, my friend and I entered a "one chance" bus in enugu....after we had journeyed for a while....my lasgidi brain picked up a few fishy things...I signaled to my friend. That's how we alighted sharpaly...

Viva Lagos!
Your doctorate in 'anti-one chance' skills is more unfortunate than an achievement. Its a statement of utter hopelessness that things can ever get better.

I ask this similar question. Kindly think carefully before responding. Is electricity a luxury or necessity and which will you teach your kids.

Lagos it is, my younger brother who is just 20 is sharp that I envy him everyday, I grew up in both edo and delta and my sharpness dey learn for where my little Bro dey. I concede to Lagos hands down, because growing a child has to be all round and not just morals because if it's only morals the child might grow up poor financially. #my2cents
And where is or has 'sharpness' led us as a peoples. Just say greedy and self-serving (in plain english). Making places like Lagos an untenable dog eat dog game reserve.

But seriously IMO, this thread is kinda baseless.

Raise your child wherever you find yourself. The family value will determine how well brought up your child would be and not the geographical location.
Pally, you are highly mistaken.

Yes, I agree. Most states in the north are a lot better. The most significant factor detrimental to child upbringing and development in my opinion is the 'rat race', 'daily hustle'. The desire to get ahead by all possible means as ocassioned by traffic, tumult and tirades is largely absent there. Religion and to some extent tradition creates more ambience in the home and a worry free, stress free, fortitudious lifestyle that's mental fertilizer for kids.

How can eight cans of that stuff kill a person except he was on his way out or added something to it or added it to something. Doesn't make sense. Caffeine? What caffeine. Some folks will drink eight cups of coffee black before the in-tray is empty.

This is simply evil, period and the bastards involved in this will rot in hell. We owe God and humanity the debt of protecting children from all forms of evil. They will surely pay for this. This is beyond cruel.

I believe that the best form of leadership is one that leads by example not a do as I say leadership. GMB for all I care can't be bold enough to allocate a billion for food judging by his body frame nor looking the other way while his associates loots our common wealth dry.
What are you saying. You think the elites who cause the singular largest corruption bloc donot know what Buhari and co have done. He may be an example to ill-informed people who take 20 naira from the cookie jar but he is certainly not an example to those who matter. Those who knew what he did last summer. And the circumstances whch led to the abortion of his anti-corruption experiment 30 years ago are still very much alive in Nigeria. Now if he is able to mobilize the masses like you said by exceptional leadership, fine. How can he mobilize the rest of his party compatriots who are less than squeaky clean. How will he be able to 'control' the opposition. How will he be able to control the excesses of the legislature. This is demoracy remember where elected officials are no more than 'first among equals'. Do you know just how much compromise he will have made in the run up to Teslim Balogun. Then he will turn back and bite the fingers that coronated him. Please, please, I'm not a child. It just doesn't work that way and I'm very, very worried that he has adopted the 'coming messiah' status in the eyes of Nigerians. What if it doesn't work out as you think. Nigerians should be realistic and work out their expectations themselves a well. A good majority of Nigerians rejoiced at his removal in 85. Even in suffering you will think, how could this be.

20 Gboosa for you guy.

I keep wondering too, cuz APC apologist keep singing that Buhari is an anti corruption crusader, but the same person is surrounded by corrupt entity. So, my question is, supposing he wins come 2014, how is he gonna fight corruption within his own party?
Same thing they (from Obasanjo to the general public) say. Jonathan is such a cool guy, it is those surrounding him, the rotten apples that have spoilt the bunch. Hello, all politicians are always surrounded by rotten apples and GMB is no exception. Nothing changes. It is the public that has to do the sorting GMB cannot do it because they put him there and can as well remove him ala 1985.

GMB & Rotimi Amaechi cheesy

This is a very good combination. The PDP have tried all their best to pull down Amaechi, but God has been his stay.
The forthcoming election spells great doom for the PDP in Nigeria. I am sure Nigeria will rise again and regain its lost glory.
Never will I vote sympathetically for anyone, but will vote for someone that can salvage my country from the hands of those
who have used religion and ethnicity to cheat the masses.

I am not voting for religion, I am voting INTEGRITY!
Amaechi doesn't have much so who will you vote for. Look, democracy doesn't work that way. What you should rather say is I will punish the incumbent for corruption by voting the opposition so that in the next cycle they will have mended their ways. Do you sincerely believe that corruption will just vanish under the APC. Pally, wake up. Donot setup yourself for another disappointment.

Have not seen PHCN breaklight for the past 3days now. It is only a madman that keeps trying same thing and expects a different output. If GMB is the closest alternative to GEJ I say bring him on and if he fails like GEJ did all those naming and shaming will be passed over to GMB and we keeping trying our luck till we get things right. Is that not the beauty of democracy? GMB should better be careful with his campaign promises cos everything he says will be used against him.
Exactly. I've seen a lot of governments and I tell you, Nigeria's problems do not start and end in the Presidential villa. It is good to be optimistic but it is better to be realistic so you can bear up and play your part as a citizen. I repeat again, Buhari alone cannot change Nigeria(ns).

May I use this medium to warn the winning team to be specially wary of the faceless cabal who are getting ready to Jump the sinking ship of Jonathan.
In the days to come we are going to notice some core Jonathanians who are specially skilled at reading the signs of time to start singing the praises of our amiable general. The team must be wary of such groups for they are the one that torpedoed the ship of Jonathan through their talents of biting without remnant!
Please don't ever make the same mistake as Jonathan.
Don't get carried away by the praise singers!
Get ready to start repairing nigeria from the root.
I will give you my vote because I know you are strong enough to provide a toxic environment for corruption.
Please sorround yourself with technocrats who are known for anti corrupt tendencies and anyone in your camp found wanting should be tried and jailed as a deterrence to others.
All the hopes of MYRIADS OF NIGERIAN YOUTHS is now on your shoulder!
Don't disappoint us like the man from Otuoke!
And may I add that you should be careful of all the economic saboteurs who are over night billionaires.
They are the one that ruined Nigerian economy !
You yourself know this is not possible. And the man you speak about has learnt his lesson and will not allow 1983-85 to repeat itself. He cannot operate outside the atmosphere called Nigeria else political suffocation is guaranteed.

Only God knows how Buhari go fight corruption without hurting these guys.
Buhari alone cannot fight corruption. In politics there is a lot of compromise. Corruption can only be fought by the friction of inter-party rivalry but is rife within (intra-party) political camps anywhere in the world.

Atiku should please take his cue from Rochas by giving Adamawa guber a shot. He needs to take his eyes off the peak national seat, cos it is boldly written that there's no way there. I just wonder how embarassed he'll feel ehen he heard his total votes at the covention after tipping delegates with hard currencies. Nigerians are wiser now.
I'm almost certain there's money coming into his personal treasury right now than that of Adamawa state so its a case of daddy, son and the cookie jar. Who owns it.

It's not all about the money. He is once again making himself available for service to his beloved state and people.
Then where did he go before. My friend, leadership in service is also about focus, sacrifice objectivity. If he so 'loves his people' why was he seeking for an office that will take him further away from them and the state in this federal setup we have. His love is clearly for himself first (which they all do) and his case is one of 'you can't eat your cake but the icing.'

This just goes to show the level of poverty in the land, for N900,000 ($5000) delegates are prepared to sacrifice the future of their younger generations. This money cannot even pay the rent for a family apartment in a decent area in Lagos. If na me, I will collect he money and still vote for the person that I like. If a politician wants to throw money away, please just send it my way.....
Your knickers are in a twist. Level of poverty..... delegates sacrificing their future..... money not worth it.... but collect it all the same....infact just send it my way. Where did you read that Russia was supplying arms to France?

Do you mean to tell us that the Choppers in the plane were meant for Boko Haram? Who trained them to fly? Even ISIS don't have aircrafts.

Do you even know what it entails to take an aggressive position against France let alone Russia, yet you want Nigeria to make new enemies?

When will you people stop making nonsensical postulations about things you have little understanding of?
Don't mind them. The French ambassador has come out to claim the goods are legit belonging to their forces we know to be operating in Chad. They fought with us against the Tuaregs earlier this year in Mali. They have bases all over Niger, Chad and Cameroun. There were no 'heavy weapons' on board, just two light choppers and spares and yes they had a legit flight plan, so....stop barking up the wrong tree folks.

To relate the Russian government with the Antonov cargo shipment is like accusing the American government of currency trafficking when the CBN moves naira notes from Lagos to Kano in a Boeing 737.....belonging to whom you should ask.
