I just hope United are not suffering the 'Liverpool syndrome', an extended period of mid table mediocrity since there is very little spring in the bounce back even after spending huge and an almost total rebuild. 2 seasons out of the UCL is not good for english footy. |
Goshen360:Oga. As long as the gospel is being preached and souls are being delivered the church remains functional. If your leaving also enhances that, fine. You are roped into politics just as the others for he who has no senses feels no pain after all the bible makes it clear, church leadership is optional. It says 'if...' concerning deacons, elders, etc. I focus on God and His Word and have no time to jump into mud pits with anyone. Look unto God. Eyes up and not down. |
komek:As a pig is to muck and mud so is the Nigerian to tribe and ethnicity. It defines and defiles us. We need more than a spiritual cleansing, maybe a DNA reboot to become human in this country. Pity. Even in church. |
All these unanswerable, subjective requests that only lead you before the Nairaland jury and a guranteed 'hater' sentence. |
That's the sure sign of the poor quality of politics and politicians because hot air will always rise as cold air falls. Didn't see any of them signing up to become epidemiologists when ebola broke. Too bad. |
Abujalandlord:Their corps is not into those sort of things. These ones don't even need to handle conventional weapons. They service the 'teeth' arms of infantry, armoured, artillery and to some extent signals corps with the means to sustain campaigns or operations by providing power, repairing damaged or broken down tanks, self propelled guns and the likes. Honestly when the President declares a state of emergency on power or wishes to protect the nations pipelines from vandals or wishes to rid the highways of intransigent trucks and truckers or make the railways work despite sabotage, these are the square pegs for the job because they have a certain level of know-how but with much more teeth. That is knowledge the average rampaging paramilitary man does not have and balls of steel to get things done which the average 'bloody civilian' hasn't either. We have a lot of resources in this country going to waste. The leaking faucet in the desert syndrome and the sheer lack of critical thinking, new ideas is one of our biggest challenges here in Nigeria. |
mcdokwe:I rather see it going from bad to worse now that he has totally lost control. Its a players market now. |
chukwudi44:There are far more important things to 'uphold'. Anyway the substance of this storm in a teacup is that the post of speaker is a 'House' matter. Not the business of any outsider. Leave that man alone. |
buJu234:So you can see where the problem of Nigeria lies, not with the government but the governed. That is the barometer to check a nations trajectory, how the people think and act. And from what am seeing we are yet to arrive the airport thoughtless of travelling. |
Hmmm....I have been wondering what has been constantly putting me off apple products... |
The typical life of the typical woman. Investing all in things that have scant long term value. |
These are all faulty moves. Was against his stay after the world cup (his choice). Was against his sack (at a very critical time that sends the wrong signal to our team and boosts the morale of our opponents). But having shot ourselves in the foot what are we still doing, playing around with guns. Keshi's re-hire/un-firing or whatever it is called it not a good idea. He's already stated he was railroaded by certain black agents in the house and the team. Now he will go after them with venom to Nigeria's detriment. At best he is a distraction and a very convenient excuse to fail says the NFF's body language. |
IfyAwazie:You will get 24hrs electricity if and when you pay for 24hrs electricity. This article says it clearly. Nigerians, even enforcers of the law are the greatest debtors. We are merely reaping what we continue to sow. Nation of freebie loving reprobates. |
Most certainly, on the day I was born. Yes, that was true love and you know what.... I didn't feel a thing. |
se0un:And you.... |
Keenysbojan:Stop the panic. It is not even technically possible to islamize Nigeria. There may be violence but that is symptomatic of failure rather than success. |
BOAR:When you remove 1 trillion naira from the economy to tool your security forces to fight a religious fuelled war then it will surely affect your ability to perform. You think religion is unimportant. Please wake up. |
vedd:Political leadership is what!!! Hmm. Music to ma ears. Nau you guys know. Welcome to Nigeria. |
samuelfemo:Hmm. After ebola every disease appears a walk in the park. |
morbid:Wow. Dialysis. Must have been coincidental. |
Yes. Men and Women's Continental champions for the first time in Africa. Football has a new name and its called Nigerules. |
CFCfan:Fair enough, but its rather ironical that a non-footballing country, one that considers the sport to be a pastime holds such an enviable record. |
CFCfan:Hmm. Thanks. |
Can Nigeria make history as the first african country to hold both male and female senior football titles. CFC confirm if has been done on any other continent and at the global stage. |
Messi is so often destabilized with new players around him. Takes a heck long time to get him playing with new team mates and just how many leave in frustration when they receive no answer on their calls to him. I hope Suarez is not the latest in the long list. |
SHOPPERS:Have you read 'numbering hundred'. Have you calculated the ratio of policemen to the general populace. Its a question of figures. Fifty thousand unarmed individuals can overwhelm any fortification on earth with good timing and opportunity. |
akinsadeez:What's wierd. The man is a thief..,and he should be gaoled. |
A nation of thieves. |
crixtex:Ah, ah. What's wrong with you folks. There are enough 'best player' awards and ratings. This is not one of them. It is rather in the mould of the '100 Most Influential People' that international mags publish annually. If you conducted a poll of the top 100 players who made the Premiership what it is, this is what you get. Is the Premiership the most technical league competition....no. So this list is not a technical assessment of individual players. It is a 'who is who' of Premiership history. |
ROSSIKE:Broad based recognition. Form, titles, notoriety, etc. The names that sold papers and upped tv viewership and made the EPL a global brand. A non ending soap opera. These are the folks on the list. If you didn't do it or did it long enough like John Barnes you get dumped in the basement. Hahaha ol John. For all the noise you make. Kanu played well but didn't last long and he was quite dour in media circles. Not one to remember. |
mployer:Well the whole story can be viewed from different perspectives. Yes, they didn't go out hunting ebola but stumbled into an ambush and fought to survive. That is worthy of a medal. When the news broke and the wounded were being brought in no Nigerian would go near them. It was a certain foreigner from the WHO or was it MSF who attended to them for days until we Nigerians were up and running. I think he deserves the most commendation because one big difference between Nigeria and other hard hit countries was the quality of early case treatment. Without that guy there may not have been any in that picture still alive and certainly many many more infections. |
Ybholy:The problem is not government. The problem is you. All the cars you drive, the phones you use, the clothes you wear are not made by government but by people like you some in countries with even or worse indicies than Nigeria. You don't plant trees in a jungle but in a desert to make a difference. |
