SomeoneBorrowed: And why do you find it so repulsive, if I may ask.
Because you are here posting thanks to a mother and father. Why become self seeking. No man can produce and incubate an egg. The best is to borrow egg or child or have none. Is that fair. If the whole world went that way, for how long will the world continue to exist. The only benefit of this thing is passion. Unfortunately there's more to life.

stanech: I have no problem with gays but I don't just want them to start hugging and kissing on the streets or start producing movies of 2 guys kissing or touching. EWwwwwww. Keep it in your bedroom
Are you joking. Its a slippery slope. More and more so called rights will be demanded. We know it will happen but we must resist it all we can. At least let me go to my grave knowing I never gave it a fair view. It is un-natural, it is wrong, it offers no benefit, just pure destructive passion.

KiKatanga: Why do you have to have sex with a man?

I love gay people and I have no urge to have sex with any of them...
Well they feel strongly about their views. Why shouldn't I feel strongly about mine. If the US is fair and kind why deny aid (affecting millions, some a matter of life and death) because of sexual orientation, relations and relationships. Do they weigh. Is it because Uganda is poor. They should try China or Putin na.

KiKatanga: China will overtake on GDP (PPP) soon, it will overtake on absolute GDP eventually, but I don't think they'll ever surpass US GDP per Capita.
Thanks. In a hundred years most of the wealth of the world will be domicilled east of the GMT then I will see just how much leverage the west will have to arm twist me into humping another man. Rubbish.
Foreign Affairs › Re: BREAKING: Uganda Supreme Court Strike Down Anti-gay Law. by Reference(m): 5:17pm On Aug 01, 2014
KiKatanga: Actually, they don't, China has very few "Anti-Freedom" Laws. Fewer, in fact, than most African countries.

What's more the Chinese economy is not outstripping the US economy, it it one ninth the size of the US economy on a per capita basis, and four times the size of Nigeria's on a per capita basis.

China is growing far faster, but it's way behind still. Just remember, there are four times as many Chinese as Americans and the Americans still have more wealth between them.
Please look ahead.

KiKatanga: That's funny because since they have all of the money, hygiene, security and education you want for Nigeria, they must be doing something right...

Stop hating start learning.
And there is a country called China that has more anti freedom laws than you can count but with an economy outstripping the US (a country in clear decline). So....

cococandy: Animals can't express themselves.
They are beneath humans.
So bestiality is a kinda fvcking them by force u get?
It's not in the same league with homos' own.
Don't you know animals have rights. Rights to be treated fairly, rights to be culled 'humanely'. Who gave them these rights? Is it not some human. And what makes you think that same human will not wake up one day and demand that animals have a right to enjoy the pleasures of humping their owners. Its all in the minds of people and their warped thinking that leads them down an express elevator to the basement. Its a slippery slope. Watch out. Bestiality is the next fad. The bible says it. Nothing surprises me. Africa is fighting a lost war.

Leopantro: Ignorance is bliss. The virus is really spreading.
Be afraid, everyone. Be very afraid
The villagers have a point. This is a disease which has no cure and a mortality rate of over 90 percent so what are these medics doing other than carrying the virus from village to village on their protective gear, equipment, vehicles and their persons. They are in self quarantine mode and I don't blame them. Fear is contagious.

Politics › Re: Test Run Of Port Harcourt Mono Rail (photo) by Reference(m): 5:06am On Jul 23, 2014
Good concept. As always, bad execution is the bane. But certainly the benefits far outweigh any costs incurred. All Nigerian cities still growing in size and have some public elbow room should look at this situation and start planning ahead of coming congestion. The car and roads are certainly not the solution to mass mobility, the cost might just come round and bite far into the future.

olaezebala: R.I.P
Even though u've been forgotten by many and the nation, ur death will automatically make u a hero as it's alway been in our country.
We don't appreciate people wen alive but sing praises of them wen they are gone.
Sleep on.
That is the problem the black man has viz history. People are rather remembered for how they influenced the course of history first, then remembered second for their achievements, what they did and finally, a distant last remembered for who they were.

I can't remember every instant my late dad disciplined me, what he was like to live with but today my life, my situation, what I've become is the most important testament he has.

Who Rilwanu Lukman was and indeed any public servant, as far as Nigerians are concerned is not important. What he helped to make of this country is all that matters. What did he do to influence the course of history, what institutions did he build, what did he leave behind, what did he berth...in the mining sector, ministries of mining, petroleum, NNPC, infrastructure, the environment, policy, corporate governance, best practices and on and on.

If he did well we will be better off and thus consider his demise a loss but in most cases like these we are oft 'forced' to mourn. All Nigerians and particularly those entrusted with the privilege of public service should renew and elevate their thinking. Their families and close friends who are understandably irked at the openly expressed negativity and lack of sympathy should be the frontline advisory to these people constantly alerting them to the fact that a good man needs no advert.

RIP. Rilwanu Lukman and may his loved ones be consoled at this time of loss.

Why an 18 year old man as baby sitter anyway. The American society is in between a rock and a hard place. Those that avoid these things out of fear end up locking their kids in cars and houses to death. The revival of the family and the extended family system is the only solution. Let real love return to homes. Lust is destroying us all.

Yes glad to see the legislature delaminate from the executive but on the other hand if it is just politricking then the PDP should know that the broom which is used to sweep the first wife out awaits the new bride. Whether it is regime change through armed or legislative terror whoever uses it inadvertently teaches his foe how to fight dirty and should the tables turn and APC holds power at the centre, the PDP shouldn't cry afterall they taught them how.
Politics › Re: Nigerian Military Uncooperative, Slow To Learn –US by Reference(m): 10:15am On Jul 14, 2014
AjanleKoko: My comment was not made specifically in relation to the insurgency.
I have cause to deal with the army in my day job. And my view is what I expressed on a general scale.
I understand your point but the Americans don't understand this country and how it works, mission specific to the insurgency. They think a group can organise another group more organised than them. Where do you see that happen. Do you know when the military is most effective is when the written constitution is suspended. Do you know that corruption the Americans talk about is a derivative of the constitution both written and unwritten. Do we know that the military is the last line of defence of this entity called Nigeria. We are watching while America attempts to reboot the only processor we have that operates our life support. To them we have other institutions to keep us alive. We Nigerians know we don't. We better be very careful here.
Politics › Re: Nigerian Military Uncooperative, Slow To Learn –US by Reference(m): 9:46am On Jul 14, 2014
AjanleKoko: Hehehe. Like most things Nigerian, the military is overwhelmed with oversabi and arrogance devoid of actual substance.
What did you expect, that the Nigerian military will open its gates to the American they did not invite and change its TRADOC because of one insurgency. It won't happen under any government, any no matter who the head of state is.

I'm sure the military wants this whole thing to be mission specific and help restricted to intel but the politicians and the public want more horse drinking. It won't happen particularly when you are dealing with a people more institutionalised than you are and expecting results from problems they - the military know you - the politicians caused. Why should they suffer the indignity.

9jatatafo: How could we compare Messi to Maradona and Pele? When he could not carry his country single handedly to victory. Being in the same level with Pele and Maradona is not about winning individual awards. Messi did not inspire me in this game.
Thanks. That's what the very greats do. This is the highest stage of football, Andreas Iniesta did it four years ago, the best player in the world rises to these occasions. This is the finals remember.

thegoodjoehunt: The best should be rewarded. This is the first time I am seeing the Golden ball, that is the World Cup as a compensation.

Thomas Mueller should have gotten that ball. He spurred his team to the title.
My dear all awards are subjective and sentimental.
Sports › Re: Germany Vs Argentina: World Cup Final (1 - 0) On 13th July 2014 by Reference(m): 11:28pm On Jul 13, 2014
thegoodjoehunt: FIFA can be funny when it comes to Messi.

James Rodriguez (Colombia), 6 goals, 2 assists

Thomas Müller (Germany), 5 goals, 3 assists

Lionel Messi (Argentina). 4 goals, 1 assist

**********

How is Messi the Golden Ball winner?

Thomas Muller won the cup, James is not here. You've got to give the Argentines something. It was fair compensation for getting to the finals.

Seun: He didn't flop. But one man doesn't make a team. The Argentine defenders messed up while the team was pushing for a goal.
Seun, this is the stage where the very best shine. His country man Diego Maradona single-handedly (no pun) won it for Argentina in 1986. Pele has 3 world cups. If Messi cannot carry his team he can only be considered amongst the greats, not the greatest.

That's what happens when you beat a tough opponent by a six goal margin and you can't get a goal next match after 75 minutes.... you're like a south paw who has seen his opponent soak up punch after punch and at round 12 he's mentally shot. That's why Germany didn't want to get carried away by the Brazil result but it has taken its mental toll on this team.
