Apatheist: LMAO.
Do you know they don't pay school fees in Finland?
Do you know they don't have oil? undecided

If we are to pay fees we should adopt the bursary and student loan system used in the USA.
What is the population of Finland and how many offspring does the average Finnish woman offload on government. For your information we are already paying for overstressing the system with poor quality, unemployable products, unnecessary post-graduate degrees and pre employment training. Demand is just outstripping supply so prices just have to go up. What pisses me off the most is that in terms of creativity, ideas, management skills, innovation, etc the universities have it in excess and beyond even government their paymasters. Why on earth haven't they been able to 'think' through this funding problem and postulate solutions. I'm certain that government is so fed up about universities that any proposal that lifts the yoke off its shoulders will be welcome even if it means total independence. Like someone said, 'it is highly abnormal for an adult graduate to feed off his poor father in the village.' In the universities with all the mental resources and still begging....haba.

You have to be extremely wise in this. If he is your close friend then you must know how he thinks and acts and this will decide whether or how or when you can do it. The bottom line is what you anticipate will be the likely outcome of your act...safety, reconciliation, divorce, manslaughter, heart attack, I don't care, loss of friendship,'etc. There are so many questions only you can answer. But on the whole your duty as a friend is to help your pal. Do so.

Truckpusher: And don't you think that since our minds are filthy ,that the surest way not to wake up a sleeping demon is step back five by five?

What would hugging somebody's wife add to your CV?

What's wrong with normal pleasantries and greetings?

Must you hug her ,are you a boar constrictor?

Personally I do not play Mr nice towards people's girl friend no matter how close and I also do not want anyone playing Mr nice guy towards my wife or girl friend, there is boundary that must be respected.

There was this lady that works in bank and from what I heard she is a nice and playful person and on this very good day the husband decided to see her around as he was passing through that way only to be greeted with the most offensive of all jokes. Before his very eyes a male banker walked passed his wife and tapped her on the bum and she just reacted as if it was normal and she wasn't aware that her hubby was just from a distance watching the whole scenario though she wasn't cheating but that marriage headed straight for the rocks .because the question was ,what on earth would give the guy that mind to do that? and again has he been doing it ?NO, but that fateful day it was an expensive joke at the wrong time with the wrong guy watching from a distance.

Many men mistook over familiarity for sexual advances and you can never say how your over familiarity can cause a lots of damages especially if your married and this same thing goes for the men too.
Exactly. The marraige ended not because of the relationship between the woman and her co-workers but because of the relationship between the husband and the wife's colleagues. She brought her husband into disrepute. This is a factor most people fail to realise. When women dress stupidly or men act brainlessly they donot quantify how much they 'cheapen' their relations and devalue their relationships.

If you cheapen yourself you are sending a message that in your home anything goes and of course anything is welcome.

vicchi12: I bet you feel smarter after making that statement, how dumb! Now let me put it to you, believe me when I say that your people need more hugs.. Desperately! Do you know how many madness it will cure? Instead of adopting the ills of other cultures, why not adopt the good ones? Hugging is intimate! It has the power to heal; it produces oxytocin, which is very good for the body. A great deal of Nigerians need some oxytocin running through their body to cure their madness; caused by the daily struggle, politics, and so on. Hugs are NOT just meant to be something between man n wife. No just something to be sexualized by people who are greedy with everything! It's a way of showing SYMPATHy( I bet a lot of y'all don't know the meaning). A hug demonstrates emotional warmth. What's the evil in a married woman sharing this affection? Go look at the lives of people with the culture of Hugging, and compare it to the lives of your people..very huge difference. People who hug others are happy people. Life is not about sexualizing everything. Life is not just about taking, it's also about giving! So don't serve your bullshiit. Every person I. Their right mind, know the difference between sex and a hug, again spare me that non sense...stop trying to score cheap points with such a stupid and heinous argument. With all due respect, go back to your cave or shape up! angry
Accepted. But what you guys fail to realise is that perception plays a big role in life. Doing things simply because of how you feel is just plain dumb and selfish. How and what society says is important. It is okay in the society you live in (I assume the west) because sex is viewed liberally. Family institutions are looser so people seek care, love and intimacy on the streets. Here in Nigeria the family is viewed as 'self contained'. We don't expect people to 'seek affections' outside the home.

My take on this is simple. Be considerate for others. Your partner, your family and society. Moderation is key. Always be on the side of caution. Think widely. For instance if you are going to hug let it be a person your husband or wife is even closer to. And consider this, when you do things in public you are also staking your partners respect and dignity among his or her friends, colleagues, subordinates, elders, etc. Just don't be selfish. Think before you act.

lawkenoz: if you look close enough you'll see there's a shadow of the flag opposite the shadow of the astronaut.........and its is supposed that the moon has no atmosphere therefore no air, so why is the flag flying? Although that's the pic I've actually watched the video of the moon landing and dint notice the shadow thingy, but for the flag. Flying its highly possible, cuz contrary to what most pple think the moon has a thin atmosphere its not completely void! Plus the flag could be flying as a result of the exhaust fumes from the apollo/lunar module. anyway controversies are always in everything. I don't believe that mermaid picture for even a second!
Sir. You surprise me a lot. Once the lunar module touched the surface the engines were cut and all the descent stage modules together with the lunar rovers and all associated gear remain to this day on the moon's surface (the chinese may have started discovering them). The engines of the lunar modules never operated with the astronauts on the moon's surface. The ascent stage engine was only fired up when the astronauts were on board.

Secondly. Of course the flag will in all likelyhood stand erect simply because there is little gravity to pull it down. Infact in space objects will continue to move with the same inertia placd on them simply because there is little friction to slow them down so if you hrow a ball it will continue to pluto (that is how small spacecraft with little fuel reach deep space like Saturn, jupiter, etc,'simply by inertia), so all you have to do to the flag to make it look like its flying is to flutter it and it will contnue to move for years without end only held down by the pole. Of course the astronauts wanted the flag to be seen so they fluttered it for the camera shot.

These are basic points of knowledge. There's no conspiracy. The Russians, Europeans, Japanese and now Chinese have mapped the moon extensively. If there was no evidence of the lunar landings it will have been all out decades ago.

Dotng: Well said. You can't have it all. So, decide what you want in life. You can't invest all your life in a career and assume that your children will bond with you without investing time with them. A missionary who had lived abroad away from his family died and was brought home for burial. Someone was wondering about the unemotional response of his son. The son replied, "You can't miss what you never had."
Mistaken missionary. Why didn't he take the son along all the while. What kind of plant has no fruit. Sad.

Where would Lagos get the money from?

That is why you people should have supported ASUU last year in their quest for N3trillion for Nigerian universities....instead you asked them to end the strike....and now look at where we are.

Stop acting as if this is the 70's...when there were less than 90,000 students nationwide. This is now where there are over 2million students nationwide.
90,000 to 2 million. 22 fold increase in just 40 years. Therein lies our problem. We are multiplying like rabbits without an inkling of how these kids will be fed, clothed, housed, educated and engaged. At this rate in another 40 years that figure will be 40 million candidates seeking admission and costing government 26 trillion to train through university. Is that not our budget for 4 years at the current rate. I tell you we are in deep trouble going forward. This is why people should pay maximally so as to at least drive home the point that Nigerians cannot just procreate at their pleasure and then expect government (custodians of our collective wealth) to subsidise the products of their pastimes. Something just has to give. We must begin to practice the tenets of a post oil economy where there are no more free meals. That is the reality staring us in the face. We either seek to enter it with a soft landing or risk complete socio-economic disintegration.

You can imagine if just 10 more, just 10 more governors out of 35 could build such an edifice (in just 2 years) in addition to tne National stadium in Abuja. Folks are we not ready to host the world cup, yes or no at very little cost to the Federal government. The amount of money they have spent on globetrotting in search for foreign investors could have easily laid this down in their states. I'm sure Julius Berger who built this will have advertised Akwa Ibom internationally by now. No tale will ever beat a single picture.

papa ejima: Another disappointment. Is it compulsory to have tartan tracks round the football pitch? When will they realize that football stadiums these days do not have tartan tracks so as to give the fans a more pleasant viewing? Try watching a football match in Nigeria and sit behind one of the goal posts and you will never go to the stadium again. It is no coincidence that the Enyimba Stadium in Aba and the Kano Pillars Stadium in Kano do not have tartan tracks round the pitch and they attract the largest crowds in the league.
Its a sports stadium not just a soccer stadium

material988: wait!!! Like seriously!!! In my country Naija person fit still see dis kind thing? I saw it first at abj, bt it was nt maintained, i pray dis one will be maintained well.
Maintenance is largely up to the people. Government has done its bit and collated your money to build it. No use it well. Do not steal, do not vandalise, pee in the pot not on the floor, donot wear heels on the turf and when events are staged there pay the correct tolls, fees and ticket prices so that it can be maintained properly. The Emirates in London has one of the best turfs in the world but the club also charges one of the highest tolls at the gates. Just like you may buy a phone for 50,000 naira but spend 500,000 in airtime over the lifespan of the phone so expect to pay serious money to use the facilities if the stadium is expected to thrive. If the AKSG thinks otherwise then it has a very big revenue draining white elephant on its hands. That is not legacy.

Fantastique from the performing governor. What remains is to have a solid commercial plan to keep that edifice in active service week in week out. And with a good facilities management company in place it will remain peachy for decades to come. The Eagles may just have found a new home. Good one. Just wish the government could set this man as head of a task force on infrastructure especially power when his time in office is done.

Level heads will give Keshi at least another 4 years to complete the rebuild by which time Manu Garba's team transition should be complete. Like I said yesterday the call for Sunday Oliseh is just a shot in the dark. It is moving from two known coaches to an unknown. Can you afford such risk. Even Siasia was tested at cadet level first. Why not Oliseh and Finidi. Na big risk oh.

So why are we complaining now? Why are groaning? In fact, we should be happy that other health workers have been given opportunity to show how useless doctors are.
Please be informed that other health workers are at their duty posts. If you have any health related issue, instead of sitting here and whining on how wicked doctors are, just stroll into a nearby hospital and one of the health workers will be glad to sort you out.

artade: Please don't mind those basketmouths... When Westerhof did the same with a team he built in 5 years, everyone praised him for being so successful. Now Keshi has equalled Westerhof's achievement with a team he built in 2 years... still people feel he's not good enough and they call him a local champion. If you call him a local champion, then Otto Glória and Clemens Westerhof were also local champions, making 3 local champions in Green Eagles/Super Eagles history. And that would make all other white-skinned coaches (no pun intended) we've had local minors and international flops. So is Stephen Keshi in very good company or not?

Late short -- If you run a marathon in 2 hours 30 minutes, and I do same in 2 hours 10 minutes, who's greater?
And Keshi started with a smaller pool of talented player introducing more new players to the national team than Westerhof did. Before Westerhof came we had key talent in striking, wing play and defence. Where he made improvements were in the midfield and between the posts. Keshi met a team bereft of talent completely and has managed to raise the game of every player save Mikel. That includes Enyeama, Efe, Osaze amongst others. That is good coaching. New young players, disciplined team and hope for a better future. All these are now at stake. We allowed Abacha era politics rob us of a generation of great players. Now we are at it again.

Keshi has achieved much with the SE there's not much left to fight for and who will stay to endure not being paid as at when due, when you have better suitors? Best thing naim baba do, leave when ovation is loud before you mess things up like Yobo.
And what makes Oliseh and Emenalo the most qualified to handle the senior national team of Nigeria. What?
Sports › Re: NFF Deny Keshi Resignation by Reference(m): 7:33am On Jul 02, 2014
If Keshi should go it should be in another 3 or 4 years if and when Manu Garba has successfully transited his cup winning eaglets through the ranks to take the helm at the top coaching job. That is development. Any other thing is mere gambling. Oliseh everyone is pandering is an untested quantity. He should be tested at cadet level and allowed to grow into the senior coaching job. Is he a Diego Simeone or a Pep Guardiola? No one knows. Senior teams are not roulette tables where you spin and take a punt. Keshi had antecedents and he came through as expected. Every national team coach must have a track record or....change nothing.
