eaglechild: Everton is a grudge team.Hmm. "Inglorious Basterds". |
So. Moyes departure was Everton's deliverance. Funny ol world. Bill Kenwright's thanksgiving turkey must have been bigger than an ostrich. |
extension: Pls dont joke with your check up in six months time and also be prayerful. Are you joking. He will be on a cocktail of drugs for life just to keep the new organ and his body in the same political party. The main battle has been won, many smaller ones to fight. Good luck to him and cheers to all that made it possible. He owes a life long debt to his first love. That is a some sacrifice. |
Thank God for small mercies. At least she is alive. This is what happens when society lashes out blindly, oft out of frustration. Only if we could just stop to consider and think for once a way out of our collective problems. We are still decades before the dawn of civilisation. |
People BUILD relationships. What are you building. What are the materials, where is the blue print. Where are you going with this. Because you don't appear to be doing the things that turn girls to women. You are just hovering around the periphery hoping. Relationships are about two people coming together to fulfill an objective none of them could individually consumate. Find that and find everything you need to know about the man. Do girlfriend/boyfriend and learn nothing perhaps until its too late. If the boy was applying for a badly needed service, a job, visa or bank loan he would provide even his mother's maiden name. Position yourself like that. |
Can he do the works of Mandela? I think not and because Nigeria today is not South Africa of the 60's, 70's and 80's. There is no oppressor, no supremacist minority, no common adversity. We all are the beginning and end of our problems. We are the racists, the oppressors so no one can go to jail here. There are no heros in Nigeria. All we fight for here is money, comfort and pride and to oppress our fellow man. Even if Mandela reincarnated as a Nigerian which tribe will he be, which religion? North? South ? Boko Haram?, ND militant?, PDP? APC? ASUU? CLO? Me I don't know just as I don't know how to plant rice in a desert. |
Raxxye: What you are saying about CNPC is true. My friend got an offer there early last year, but refused it(even though he was jobless) because of the gruelling work condition he saw the staff pass through. He felt he might die within a month if he accepted the offer and stayed. Their site was in one riverine area in Ondo State. 3 months on and 12 days off. They eat their own food and drink their own water while at work. They pay their own transport when going on the 12 days off(to and fro), plus their terrible living condition while at work, plus lots of other ill-treatments! Those Chinese guys are devils! Then stay at home with mummy and let the devils build your infrastructure for you. Oh. The Americans are imperialists, the British are snobbish, French are racists, Indians are slave drivers, Koreans are cunny, Lebanese are frauds, Chinese are devils, South Africans are monopolists. Ghanians are..... Abeg where is the world map. 200 countries left, not enough geo-tags.... And Nigerians are what na?? |
Godson32: Sorry for ill treatment but 48hrs a week is not bad,I work on site,we work 11hrs a day including saturday & sundays, total for the week is 77hrs,if u complained to the management they will tell u that if u resign, many people are waiting to take ur job...there is no work anywhere, although I pray for improve condition of work. Just take heart, hope for the best.I just don't get it. You work 48 hours a week. That is paltry. No wonder the networks are so bad. And I spend my weekends working and most public (government) holidays. Pally stop complaining. If you want to work less join the civil service but if you want more work start your own business and be the boss you dislike so much, even 24 hours a day, seven days a week won't be enough. This is a depressed economy, we don't make anything in this country. Why won't wages be low and hours long. |
Fantastic group. Easy opening match. What more can we ask. It is Ghana that shouldn't bother leaving Accra. |
Ayoakinkahunsi: HuhThought QE2 was worth between 6 - 8 billions pounds or have the CONservatives asset stripped her. This confirms Putin as an oligarch. No wonder he's jailed all competition. |
tunshe: I need explanation pls! This comes up again and again. John says it clearly. "In the begining was the Word and the Word was 'with' God and the Word 'was' God." And later it says "the Word became flesh" that is became Jesus and the Word's mission was to save becoming Jesus Christ. The personality of Jesus is the Word of God just like anyone's words convey his or her personality whether spoken or written, casually or in authority. And where such a person's word carries ultimate power, ultimate authority then there is practically no difference simply because God designated Father CANNOT come down here. If I'm on the field and put a call through to my office my voice carries the same authority as my presence. My memos likewise. What God tells us is to accord the same respect to his voice calls and text messages to us. And that's just ONE OF THE REASONS we worship Jesus. Or haven't you seen a soldier saluting on the phone or house girl kneeling down when taking madam's call. |
Orlando Owoh: Have you asked yourself what these people do with their allocation? I served in an Ijaw community where I saw poverty occasioned mainly by the greed of some privileged ones who appropriated what the whole community is supposed to enjoy. The Niger Deltan of which I happen to be one, though Itsekiri, should start asking their leaders questions. Asari Dokubo has built a university and has chains of businesses and houses, who has asked him how he got the money. Tompolo has a maritime school. I was in Kiagbodo, Burutu LGA, Delta State, and I saw the structures of the university Edwin Kiagbodo Clark was erecting. How did he come about the money in his 80s?They are building SCHOOLS and you are asking where they got the money. SCHOOLS, SCHOOLS.??. What have, what are those who have/are controlling the oil wells and pumping billions out of the ground doing with theirs for over 50 years. If they had built those schools and opened those businesses will there be room for Edwin and Tompolo. If Shekhau opened a university tomorrow will you clap or criticise. Just who is failing here. That's the irony called Nigeria. Everything is inverted. |
HoldenCaulfield: We The People Of Arewa Are Now Begining To Be Fed Up With All This Threats Of Dividing The Nation, Gej! Organize The Conference Lets Break! Eat Your Oil, We Are Tired Of All This We Are Not Afraid Of It No More. Haba! Think Of All Of This Workers In Our Companies, Banks, Hospitals, And Other Government Agencies Are Going To Be Replaced By Our People. Think Of The Vast Agricultural Land God Bestowed Onto Us, Think Of The All Those Mineral Deposits We Have Here In Arewa. And Who Told You That There Is No Oil In Arewa? Take Nijer Republic For Instance, We Now Mostly Use There Petrolem Products Here In Kano, Aren't The Largest Oil Fields Found In Desert Areas Of This World, Almost Every State Here In The North Has Different Resource That A Whole Country Can Stand On. We Are Saying It Boldly LETS BREAK AND SEE WHO WILL STARVE. Gej We Want You To Hold The Conference With The Every Intention Of Dividing This Country, And Make It Soon! That's right. Blame your tribesmen. They've held power and controlled opportunity since independence. They put EVERYONE in this mess. They caused the oil addiction not the Niger-Delta peoples. And they live in your midst in plenty. Go visit them and ask why they didn't develop 'house' but developed 'home'. |
devour129: I think everything about Nigerian politics is cursed . Power was in the north for years, its still the poorest side of Nigeria .power moved to the nd,they haven't even dug a borehole with all the money allocated to them, I think power should go to the east then we know it has gone full cycle and only then it will dawn on us all how foolish we have been by putting ethnicity in what ever we do. Then we all go back to the draw board and marshal out a new Nigeria. No!!! Power goes back to the north. Your theory is unacceptable. If power makes people poorer, weaker, villified then why should we struggle to get it.... |
tensor777: The FGN of course. It was never a good idea to reward armed bandits kidnappers and muderers. They should just have been wiped out. |
tensor777: The FGN of course. It was never a good idea to reward armed bandits kidnappers and muderers. They should just have been wiped out.Well you can pay a courtesy call to the Plateau and ask Gowon, then to Abeokuta hilltop, Minna hilltop(s), APC hq. and a couple of grave sides in Kano. Ask them how they could not invest in social amenities and feather the nest of the golden egg laying goose. 50 years of neglect, 50 years of leaving kerosine drenched children to play with matches created the Asaris of today. Sorry. People are not poor for lack of opportunities but wasted ones. It is so, so ironic that the education he and others were denied that would have made his likes more cultured and hence acceptable to his stiff upper-lipped critics is his primary drive today. Yet he is still criticised. Some will never see the elephant even if it sat on their heads. |

Very subjective. Like asking how much a 4-door salons costs. Where? when? how? The best you will get is a range. Like google search, the better the enquiry, the better the results. Anyone who gives a precise figure based on 3-D animation is Donald Duck. Yes a quack. |
01mcfadden: Will Oduah be called to give answer to this again? The airport was never completed. What you see is just a phase hurriedly put in place by Babangida back then and a patchwork of upgrades ever since. The original plans were 'excessively elaborate aka white elephant and were abandoned a long time ago. |
Privatize education and these will be over.
|
Privatize education and these will be over.
Good idea. I see a future educational spread involving private institutions (obviously for the rich), commercially funded ones (for and by big industry), then government funded ones (for those who just want paper, let my people go) and then those funded exclusively by foreign grants (for those who want free education and then flee the shores of Nigeria to work, pay taxes and develop other countries). All in a ratio of say 20:30:30:20% points. Government cannot fund our education alone. It is not responsible for our galloping population, cannot absorb all our graduates but loses massively from intellectual flight. The model we practice is unsustainable. New thinking is required. 220 billion a year is merely kicking the can down the road. In the early 90's the longest strikes took an average of 6weeks to resolve. Today we are witnessing 6 months. That's the only progress we appear to have made. |
When Jonathan was elected I said the biggest benefit of the highest office going to the Niger-Delta was that agitations around power will shift to agitations within power when the aura around the highest office is demystified. It happened in the west with the AD/AC as the biggest headache to OBJ. It is happening again with Amaechi who is heads and shoulders above other opposition elements on issues that matter and strike at the very heart of the government. This scenario may be downright ugly but this is the only way our democracy will work. I will like to see more opposition from within the Delta and I want to see GEJ ride them so that the peoples there can 'UNDERSTAND' what governance can truly deliver and what is just pie in the sky. So that when other regions agitate particularly the minorities they would know the LIMITS of executive power in the centre. Those limitations will lead to better introspection and a search for home grown solutions to perceived national challenges. In time a councillor will command as much respect as Mr. President. |
julioralph: Shey na Spain wey don broke finish he dey go call to come invest? He is speaking to Spanish companies, spanish investors not the government of Spain. The government may be broke but there are companies sitting on mountains of cash the EU cannot absorb currently. Nigeria may have budget issues. This does not mean every individual or company in Nigeria is broke or cash strapped. There is a difference. |
rusher14: She should go and die!!!Hmmm. I seem to have heard this before. Where...just thinking. |
berem: whatever! Using anti graft bodies to chase the members of the opposition is totally undemocratic and reeks of tyranny.Buhari and Sylva in the same party perhaps as presidential running mates in the future. Told ya. In Nigeria iron floats. |
It takes public flogging to make our leaders human.
This is the beauty of a working democracy where leaders are held tight by the fear of losing office. Because I will often say, no matter how good an individual or party professes to be, power corrupts. Adams will have walked away inspite of social media if not for what happened to Fashola/Ngige/APC and the weight of the PDP afterall some others have done and said worse. I just hope the governor continues to drive development despite this knowing that the very people he aims to improve will be his biggest challenge. Herein lies another myth. That we all want Nigeria to be like Switzerland. Sure. But no one is willing to get there. And the APC should get ready for more 'breeze opening fowls behind' moments. That's the price of leaving the comforts of opposition to leadership. Just imagine if Adams said this while in Aso Rock. Tut-tut. APC. The party is coming to an end. Welcome to the mud. P.S. The PDP, knights in shining armour. Edo PDP?!*¿. I laugh. Democracy is simply fascinating. |
ROSSIKE: Good gesture by the governor. All's well that ends well. At the end of the day we are all human. Let him who is without sin cast the first stone.Hmm. I wonder what the erstwhile national dialogue member who had a bust up with comrade guv will make of all this. |
oladosuphemmy: if we resume now, what will be the essence of the strike.it will mean we wasted 5 month without achieving wat will benefit all of us espescially we the student.WE NEED TO BE PATIENT NOW THAT WE ARE CLOSE TO BREATHROUGH. |
oladosuphemmy: if we resume now, what will be the essence of the strike.it will mean we wasted 5 month without achieving wat will benefit all of us espescially we the student.WE NEED TO BE PATIENT NOW THAT WE ARE CLOSE TO BREATHROUGH.Better look for another source of funding. This model is unsustainable not with our run-away population growth. I can't imagine why after 50 years you guys are still tied to the government's apron strings. That's why your products are of little use to the country. Because the country doesn't fund them. Create products that industry needs and industry will fund the process, the universities. Think outside the box. Afterall you are the best brains. |
Idi Amin: I can now authoritatively confirm that ASUU leader is high on marijuana. How on earth does he think that an ordinary selfish body like ASUU can stop a presidential directive. GEJ should sack that 1diot from his job, let me see how he will continue as ASUU chairman when he joins ladipo market traders association. Non senseAbeg General Amin dis no be Kampala. |
