martronilla: Different people; different religion... he has no right to say such. who da hell does he think he is? I am not trying to oppose his statement because I am a catholic. I will never criticise another man's way of worship... We catholics know what we are doing.... if he thinks we are following the wrong path, then let him leave that for God to judge on the last day. They insist we are idol worshippers.... they have said all sorts of trash abt catholics but I do not let them get to me.... We are all xtians and we serve the same God but in different ways.... leave matter for mathias.... they claim we 'Worship' Mary bt we do not..... instead, we honour her as the woman chosen to conceive the saviour.... she wasnt special, she wasnt d only virgin bt she was selected by God. so, she deserves to be honoured.... the statues u see in our churches are not worshipped.... just the way u have faith in ur bibles, so do we have faith in the satues.... God is not the only one we should have faith in... faith is a supernatural gift from God which enables us to beleive without doubting whatever God has revealed. anytime I see posts on the internet abt catholics being critised, I simply Ignore them but today, I had an urge to comment on this thread.... like I said earlier, let us leave this for God to judge.... Peace be with you all.Matronilla dear, Jesus Christ, the Living Word is the only one we should have faith in. Nothing or no one else. |
bishop4APC: I could see ibo people rejoicing on their grave....whether you like it or not, you all are still coming back to the progressive party. APC is the only party that can rescue you from your inferiority complex........Dumbazz set of people. This is not the kind of mentality a government in waiting has. Quit shooting your feet with this superiority clap trap. This is gasoline for the PDP bandwagon. Move to the centre biko. |
Aussie: There is no hope for the current crop of generations in this country. Nigeria seems to be doomed!Hmm. Music to ma ears. Thought our problem was corruption. Ride on Willie boy. Ouch is it painful. Then don't do it. |
Godmother: Child go back to bed pls. I need mature responsesDo what the bible says God created the woman for and you will be the one selecting the one you want. 'Love me' is not the foundation of relationships. Its a wrong, selfish start. |
xynerise: Man city 3-0 SwanseaCity na T-rex for house, possum away. Totally different animal. |

jmaine: We are in December and your league never still startEven in the early pre-investment days of the late 90's early 2000's when it was a two horse race December was never a decider thoughtless of now where up to six teams can win it. This league WILL go down to the last 2 or 3 games. Pls bookmark this. |
freshprincex49: I hold Mourinho responsible for his bad judgement and poor Team selection. Essien has no business on that pitch against a Young and fluid southampton side. I pray these series of. Bad results do not ccome back to hunt him. Afterall it is his Job That will be on the Line. Blues for LIFE!!!But they are still in third/fourth position and have a bigger squad than Arsenal and the league neva start. |
vanguard1: I said it, essien is dead and buried football wiseFalse age things. Might be Giggsey's uncle. |
Premiership na league abeg. Bookies theme park. Personally I like the rollercoasters, slides and popcorn. |
So who's replacing AVB in January. I will recommend Roberto di Matteo if he's free. |
We will continue to debate issues like this as long as Christianity is portrayed as a religion not a Faith. Christianity is a Faith and faith comprises two basic working systems. The 'belief system' that relates you to God through your soul and spirit and the 'acts system', the doing which relates your body and soul to God's will (purpose). Christianity is a combination of both. Thus you cannot be a Christian if you do 'Christian things' without belief in Christ Jesus (as the rich man did) and you cannot be a Christian if you believe only and have no fruits to show (even the devil believes) or act contrary to what you believe. I fully understand the concept of 'grace' that gives opportunity to any and every but except if you receive Jesus at the point of death, your belief and acceptance will be tested and confirmed by what you do. Finally to tie it in. The 'acts', 'doings' are in total obedience to Him you have believed and accepted, not to your pastor, friend, family community or country. So there cannot be a dispute as to whom you serve. So are there people who profess Christianity but are not recognised, sure. Are there moslems who are Christians, how can that be, if we are talking about the heaven Jesus Christ has purchased with His blood. |
PurestBoy: I'm disappointed in Giroud in all fairness & I still have d same concerns about him as I've been telling my facebook friends. I understand that his contributions this season have been excellent, but he's just too chunky & not dynamic enough for a team like arsenal. He can't work in tight spaces or create a chance out of nothing his finishing is also poor. He can't get past defenders or do anything with his back to goal. This has nothing to do with the offside fiasco. I just think Giroud should be a 2nd option. He should be to us what Dzeke is to City. If we can get a striker in the caliber of Aguero, Diego Costa or Suarez, the sky will be d limit for us.No need to hold back. He's simply not good enough as a top 9. The boots left by Thierry are just too large for now. |
tunesoft: Well..its not new...some general hospitals in lagos are not this bad...buh some are worse...federal hospitals have there own share...by and large, am glad the writer said treatment was good..and the mom was getting better...because when doctors go on strike to ask for better facilities..(the last strike they were on..) pple vomit nonsense saying doctors are self centered...tell me how a hospital like this will even have other basic infrastructure to handle emergencies...? it's time for people to voice out their pains...mite I also chip in that nurses are by work allocation supposed to be incharge of the wards...so they should be the ones making complaints (which am sure they mite have..) but NO u won't see them in the fore fronts of aluta or strike...cos they are always too timid nd prefer the deterioration to continue...But do you need 'Aluta' to wash mosquito net. C'mon man bad is bad. |
forget That nonsence. The only Way to determine the true paternity of a child ID DNA. There was a case at American Embassey sometime ago where a man was supposed to take his family to the states being based there, while the wife was here in Nigeria. Their son was made to take a DNA test and to shockingly he failed. The father insisted That there was a mistake in the test and with the kind of uproar the man created the test was reconducted lo and behold the child failed again. This came as a surprise to everyone because the boy bore some resemblace with the aclaimed father. The young man had to abandon the woman and her child. Do you realise that a Lady who likes men with similar physical traits might marry a man with such qualities, cheat on him with someone with same traits. If she gets pregnant as a result of adultry, she could have a child that could pass for her husbands.
Nna see levels. You ladies have gone not only digital but high definition in 3-D on 4G network. |
Emmadani: u mean u just said osaze isn't charismatic for 9ja,are you kidding me,like seriously when did you start following 9ja futbal?Gawd.i would never advice any body to sacrifice himself for 9ja cos its a waste of tym.seriouslySo why do you want him called up then. We don't want to 'waste his time.'. Please Nigerian football has moved on. Nations Cup holders, U-17 World Cup holders, Sambaland bound. Biko, I take God beg una. The past is past and Osaze is in the past. Let us look forward. People wey dey look back dey turn to pillar of salt. |
boneruns: Yes, this is true. I learnt those affected were/will be the old staff of the bank. I don't really know their criteria for selecting these 'old' staff. You don't know the criteria for the mass cull and you ask people to submit CV's for that same place. Are you an undertaker or whot? |
phillippiano: Abeg,w hich episode we deyStarwars Episode 5: 'The Empire Strikes Back'. Before that, Episode 4: 'A New Hope'. Don't worry the last episode is good. 'Return of the Jedi'. Me I want to understand how we got into this mess so am watching 'Phantom Menace'. |
deebrain: may God have mercy on this ACG. He did not even comment on the fallen officers..What da.... So he should have terminated his duties and rushed to give them mouth to mouth. Na who send dem. |
The depth of decay in the power sector trumps that of the pre-2002 telecoms sector so expect a longer, more pain-filled wait for producers and consumers. But this is nothing compared to the forth coming taming of the energy king-kong. |
Nomski0: How's that possible?Well history tells us that as tournaments or leagues get towards the business end goals become more difficult to score. Managers tend to be more cautious, more tactical and rely on their defences to deliver. You won't see Ronaldo or Messi scoring a hattrick in the Champs final but you will remember how the goalie messed up or the silly defender handled in the box or that heart wrenching penalty give away. Trophies are usually about who makes the fewer mistakes when it matters. Behind Alonso the Madrid team is suspect. You won't outscore every team. That's why I rate them 10th. The top three are Bayern, Barcelona and Atletico Madrid in that order as the most complete or balanced teams. Then you have the likes of Juventus, Dortmund, PSG and Porto. No English club makes the top 15. They are too unreliable for now. Mancity is the best placed amongst the lot. |
Nomski0: Indeed. But i'm a hundred percent sure they're not lifting the Champions league trophy this year.Well they are on course. They are 2 points ahead of Barca on my CRAFT log. Real even with CR7 is only 10th. They are defensively weak. Pepe and Ramos need to join Chris Brown in rehab. They've cost that team dearly time and again. As you know while good attacks win matches, it is only good defences that win trophies. |
Nomski0: I'm missing Ronaldo in this matchBayer please. Bayern is completely out of the reach of any team this season....worldwide. |
From a personal care perspective there's nothing your typical bleach cannot do. It will kill 99% of any germs and bugs present. Psychology is another thing. Your pocket will have to handle that. |
jonaji: LOL There's no difference !! The most inportant thing is for you to buy new ones. Some may carry various diseases leading to breast cancer. Ur health first !!"Various diseases leading to breast cancer". What is this supposed to mean. People just say anything that sounds right to them. |
TechWalker007: Let me tell you the truth.Well, Tech that's up to me and you to ensure that we are not moving from one totalitarian group to another because history tells us that the situation only gets worse because 'power corrupts and absolute power corrupts absolutely' is a universal, non-respector of persons law. Personally I'm not interested in the party name or candidates. They will come and go. The dynamic is the important factor. To hang your clothes there must be tension in the line with two equally suffering anchorages. |
heykims: in d words of pastor Tunde bakare, no election is holding in 2015.I'm sure even he cannot recognise the party on whose platform he co-stood for the highest elected office just a tad more than 3 years ago. The ground has shifted so massively towards 'the centre' I'm sure his head must be spinning. Perhaps Lai's invite to GEJ doesn't sound so funny. I dare even picture a couple of scenarious that could place him on the APC ballot a few months down the line.... |
TechWalker007: Seriously, I don't really care about the them decamping. I am more worried that APC is presenting themselves as progressives but with open arms to the same people they have hitherto labelled corrupt! How hypocritical?!Its not hypocritical. It is the reality. For APC to become a national player it has to reflect the national character and aggregate the moral barometer of her citizens. If the majority of Nigerians are corrupt how do you expect a minority of 'saints' to rule. That's why I dismissed the 'Buhari Effect' long ago. His likes will be a minority in the APC. That's how democracy tackles corruption and misgovernance. Not by the quality of individuals within a grouping but by the fear/greed associated with assuming or losing power. The APC and PDP will eventually reach an equilibrium in all ramifications. The earlier should be our prayer. |
Its an expected and perhaps good development considering the number of seats, etc. But whether these individuals are really popular and were duly elected is another matter. The governors for one are all going to lose power, resources and influence so their impact will be moderate at best. It makes for interesting times. We are moving forward. |
deemehjee: me i dnt knw for mou bt in a team oscar ruggedness n rascality(sumtyms) is useful o.Mata has as much chance to feature for Chelsea as Torres or Villa for Barcelona. Mourinho HATES the tiki-taka style which is ingrained in all Spanish midfielders. Mata will operate in the false nine system. Mourinho plays the traditional big nine system. Chelsea, Intermilan, Real Madrid. Good passing midfielders not ball holders. He does not want midfielders slowing the pace of attack with sideways movement. He hates tiki-taka. Post Liga traumatic disorder you may say. |
This FC Basel of a club has no respect for big names whatsoever. They are slowly carving a niche as giant killers. They've beaten Bayern and humbled United lately if I'm not mistaken and now.... Pundits and punters beware. |
GEJ's presidency remains the best thing to happen to Nigeria to date. A real 'garden of Eden' moment. |
