amurx: this pattern of pep cant break 2ru chelsea jawe.... How on earth wil he introduce dis kind pattern bayern aint barca na
I suspect Pep has found it difficult to either change the Bayern style of speed and forceful attacking drive or to adapt the Barca style of slow, patient build up while waiting for the opponents to falter.

Truth must be told. With the exception of Robben no other Bayern player has the kind of close control Messi, Iniesta or Xavi has. Muller certainly doesn't have it.

Just listen to the Supersport panelists. Pep has a bit of work to do. Has to make up his mind quickly exactly how he wants this Bayern team to play.

No. Watched their last match where they dropped points so carelessly. Almost lost that match. Something is not there or is lost in translation.

Wanted to say something about Pep but let me hold my peace for now. Quite frankly, not impressed at all. Bayern is not improving. Even if he's not going to add anything to the Bayern we knew let him reactivate the 'combative mode' he's obviously turned off.

Thought there was a law barring prospective candidates who are found to be insolvent or just plain bankrupt or is the case of Ubah's the person separate from Ubah the Company. People like this are a clear and present danger to public resources and should not be allowed remotely near any state treasury.
WENGER NOT WONGA , GAME OVER cheesy
Noticed that too. Now Arsene Willy Wonka won't be giving out candies no more, Ivan the Gazidis is out of jail and crook Kroenke will rob the red piggy bank once again. Arsenal is one big rubic cube. One good move undoes several others. Is this result really good for the club?

Pk001: I hate bigots like you!
Who told you he is incapacitated? Do you know what the constitution says about declaring some incapacitated?
I have bad news for you. Danbaba Suntai remains the Governor of Taraba state. He is back to resume work.
The legislators did the right thing in the constitution by placing his deputy in acting capacity 21 days after he left office, which the national assembly fail to do during Yaradua Saga even after 2 months.

Now that suntai is back, all he needs to do is to right the state assembly informing them that he is back.
Bien Venu my Governor!
Haters go and hug transformer.
Another reason why this country CAN NOT move forward. If you realise what it takes physically and mentally to administer such an important office you will not speak like this. What you are indirectly saying is that this is the best the people of Taraba have to offer and have going for them. I honestly think not. Please reconsider very carefully.
Politics › Re: An Expatriate's Indepth Analysis Of Corruption In Nigeria by Reference(m): 11:01pm On Aug 25, 2013
I've always said the power of corruption is the strength of numbers. That is the proportion of a populace engaged in this sin. After the biblical floods Noah representing probably a miniscle fraction of humanity at that time, planted a vine, made booze, got drunk and defiled himself.

That one man came to symbolize the collective guilt of all humanity and thinga didn't get better but grew progressively worse from then on. Nigeria has an identical problem. How can we steer people one by one away from our collective destructive path.

And are those who mess up the system not our (her) fathers, mothers, aunts, uncles, cousins, brothers, sisters, colleagues, friends, fellow compatriots of every class, tribe and tongue.

What has an innocent little green booklet with your serious looking face and details have to do with our collective failures. Do you destroy your toilet because it cannot flush.

This is the typical response of an indolent, self centred person, the likes that have brought this country to its knees. Does she know what it meant, what it took, what it cost in blood, sweat and tears to obtain and keep an american or canadian passport over two hundred years ago when the British were pursuing them from pillar to post.

Lazy McDonalds generation. Can't engineer nothing. Pathetic.
Politics › Re: Pictures of first international flight from Enugu. by Reference(m): 8:17am On Aug 25, 2013
At the end of the day the wedding held. That is all what matters. Whether the minister arrived late, whether the bridal train was a mismatch, whether there were no baloons in the reception hall or the food was cold, the first international flight has happened. When the couple grow and have children they can plan for the type of wedding they never had the privilege of staging in their youth. Or better still have memorable wedding aniversaries.

Subsequent governments can make the Enugu airport like Heathrow, JFK or Schipol but it will forever be on record that the inaugural commercial flight out of the east took place on this day, in this year under this government. Period. Congrats to Ndigbo. Better days ahead.

Politics › Re: Fashola's Performance Is Overblown – CACOL by Reference(m): 6:32am On Aug 16, 2013
For me good governance is all about making your predecessor a distant memory. Even in the worst aspects of Obama no one wishes that Texan cowboy back in the saddle though the US economy is still crawling and deficits worse than ever before. The general consensus is that Obama is making steady progress.

Lagos under the Fashola led government is over-hyped, but it is making steady progress and I don't think anyone wishes a return to the past. Could it be better. Yes of course but that is left for the opposition to prove and the people to decide. If they can't then half bread is better than none. In some other states even bread crumbs are unavailable.
Politics › Re: Fashola's Performance Is Overblown – CACOL by Reference(m): 6:04am On Aug 16, 2013
Over-hyped? Everyone knows that but almost all are too scared to admit it. That will be like taking on the steam-roller of a propaganda machine.

I guess the key here is to be just one step ahead of your competition - other states, the Feds, your predecessor and your case is settled as a messiah. What this coalition is looking at is that Lagos should be several yards ahead. This I agree with but I also accept governance is a continum and development is not tied to individuals but to processes, systems, establishments and institutions. APC has got that right so far. If Fashola's successor is even a hair's breadth better than him, that will still constitute progress.
Politics › Re: Why Would Someone Vandalize A Gas Pipeline In Nigeria? by Reference(m): 11:05am On Aug 13, 2013
This is perhaps the darkest vestage of military rule our inability to 'sort' ourselves out when it comes to resource control and like I often say the ongoing militarization of the Niger-Delta will get us no where. The whole armed forces of this country will not be able to prevent resource control just as they cannot stop the cultivation of beans, maize or cannabis.

If our future development is tied tnd power and power is tied to oil and gas and oil and gas is tied to a poor, depraved, ignorant and oppressed people then FG Wilson will continue as the cousin of Nigeria.
Politics › Re: Why Would Someone Vandalize A Gas Pipeline In Nigeria? by Reference(m): 10:52am On Aug 13, 2013
Which kind of question is this. Why will a fulani cowboy walk around with an AK-47. Its the same thing. To protect his assets. Those who own the gas don't want you taking it so they will disrupt, degrade and ultimately destroy your gas assets. Its only in Nigeria that people don't understand this and the fact that development has a price.

Perhaps the Federal Capital should rotate between regions every 50 years to give everyone the opportunity of development and of course deportation afterwards.

Just a Sunday morning thought.

And I know Winners Chapel inside out. Their administrative structure is second to none, perhaps globally. They run very tight controls so the area of scrutiny must be added to their structure. It will not chase people away but even give others more confidence to do good things.

These scandals will continue as long as proper laws concerning the receipt of stolen property and money laundering are effected. I've spoken extensively about the hammer that should come down on banks for being the principal drivers. A colonel depositing 20 million is a red flag in any serious country. In the US he could even be suspected of episonage.

Banks, the stock market and other financial houses should constantly be put under pressure to disclose. Even those trading expensive assets should not be spared: real estate, businesses, luxury goods, precious metals should have checks similar to hotels demanding passports for foreign guests or gun shops demanding licenses. This mess has got to stop.

The church is liable and should not be exempted from this war on graft. There is no where in scripture where you cannot demand to know the source of giftings. In a few scriptures gifts were REJECTED on account of the quality of the gift, giver, the timing, context, etc.

And don't say the church is so big control is impossible. 2 million naira will not fit into an offering basket. 2 million naira will give you a name, place and date. And for heavens sake you are to KNOW your flock. Jesus knew every one of his disciples. That is real fellowship.

The Christian God I know does not need to rob to build His Church. He owns everything.

Yeah, quite depressing actually. Some lyrics these days have really gone to the dogs. ....shake your bumbum, ...my music is sweeter than bobbi and the usual 'I was once a pauper now I roll in money'.

Across the board Nigerian meals are of poor quality, owing to the distractions of a hard economy. Excellence in service is hard to get. Most people just settle for junk because of this. The erroneous belief that stuff out of the factory is better/safer than what comes from the kitchen.

That's one of the problems I have. Over a period of say a year I eat over 80 percent of my meals outside control (outside my home) in various locations and I must say a good number of these meals are just unpalatable. I often need something strong to push it down. The quality of food out there is just as bad. Standards everywhere are falling causing more people to turn towards factory foods. When I was growing up stomach upsets were very rare. These days I know someone who's cramping up daily. Its scary.

You may say then was the age of innocence. I read a lot of editions but they had no lasting impression on me whatsoever. Looking at the way things have changed. The way things have deteriorated, I donot think it will be possible to have those mags publicly in news stands without feminist, child welfare and religious groups up in arms. Then it was just fun. Not clean fun, neither dirty.
