Raalsalghul: People will always apportion blame without taking a look at themselves. Loser mentality!
Almost everyone I've seen complaining about the U.K on closer inspection I've discovered have them selves to blame one way or the other.
Recently spoke to a family friend that complained of how his family spent close to a month in Airbnb apartments because they couldn't get an apartment for themselves (Husband was the dependant and wife was the main applicant).
I pointed out families that moved smoothly with main applicant going first, settling in and looking for a bigger accommodation before the dependant and their kids joined.
He mentioned that he was told to do the same thing but he doubted that information and moved with his whole family at once.
Shebi tomorrow na that one will say U.K is a harsh place? Abi?
I'm all in for Suella Braverman closing that post-study route because the whole thing dey display the stupidity of Nigerians to the world.
Notice: Indian and Pakistani students don't complain as much as this. In the group I'm in, a lot of them made that mistake. I no longer pity them. You are coming to a place you know no one, even if you know someone, has little or no help to render to your settling in, you rush carry your whole family Waka come... Indians will wait till they get COS before they bring their family. Lazy Nigerian youths. |

Raalsalghul: Honestly we don't Victoria.
The U.K topic has been overflogged.
And anybody suffering in the U.K is due to their foolishness and stupidity and not the U.K itself.
Fine, the U.K doesn't care about you and only want your money but why don't you care about yourself by planning properly and having a contingency plan in case shit goes sideways?
Huh? Everyone has the mindset of as soon as the leave Nigeria, all their problems are solved. Everything should fall in place. I had that mindset initially, till I stayed 3 months without job thag I realise I needed to make things fall in place. I would have been like everyone opening pages here there with nothing good to say about my journey off Africa. Nigerians believe things should be done for them. I have left the country, therefore everything should fall in place with the barest effectort from me mindset. |

Raalsalghul: Honestly, Pansophist. I'd like to hear your thoughts on why the black race is so backward.
In my younger days, I used to think it was colonialism but dropped that thought when some Asian countries that gained independence at the same time like us were far better and advanced a la Singapore.
Next, I thought it was our leaders and the elites but leaders are elected from the people. Besides, some commoners or plebs who get to position of power still misbehave.
Right now, the theory I'm working with is that something happened to the black race during evolution. As in, a phenomenon that made us retrogress while other races were successfully adapting to their environments because it's not normal.
Honestly, I'd like to hear your thoughts.
Cc: Gerrard59, Sagamite I have been asking myself same question. I have tried to look into what's actually the problem. But then you look at Barbados, Trinidad and Tobago, and other black race not in Africa, when compared are doing far much better than us. I can't rule out evolution, but if it is evolution, why are those Caribbean countries doing well than their African counterpart? |

Sha, I don talk am, the average Nigerian man has no standard when it comes to marriage. Na to dey shout alfa meil for road while dangling the smelly preek. I know of a man who married a girl that it was obvious to everyone in the department she was sleeping with her lecturer. I saw one of her post where she was adoring the husband on Facebook on his birthday, I was pretty disgusted. I used to be friends with guys who organised shows for models etc when I was in Nigeria, I happened to attend one of their shows and after show and after party, God! You needed to see how they were sharing the female models around and what they're doing to them... I mean the organisers. Needless to say, the male models are not left out, most of them have become homosexuals. |

How many married couples are intentionally child-free in Nigeria? Very few. So, I understand his point. Honestly I don't even know what to say. Marriage to a Nigerian is all about having kids and minding the consequences. Let me have kids now, when I'm 45 or 55 my kids will be 30 thus looking same age... Gosh! olugabbie: Well, I don't think the US is capable of fighting any major war alone. Iran has challenged the US several times and the Almighty US didn't do anything.
Iran attacked the US base in Iraq when Soleimani was killed. Despite the fact that, Trump threatened Iran with fire and furry if Iran attack the US. Well they did and Trump back down. His Generals must have told him to let it go.
Same happened when Iranian navy embarrassed some US naval personnel. They were arrested and treated like criminals, the US could not do anything. Iran is not a nuclear state. So there is no excuse.
If the US is being cautious against Iran. Do you think that same US will want to engage Russia in a war?
War is not simple arithmetic. Thank God the politicians don't think foolishly, like some of us do. I like as you deh answer them with fact. Thy think war is just simple like that. |

pansophist: If you will study, then four million is not enough unfortunately. 4M naira is about 6k euros, it won't pay for your school fees even. You need at least 8-10k euros for that.
I mean, its a huge money, but naira have fallen so badly that when converted to euros, it becomes so small. If you can increase it, then try. It worth working hard for.
Or you go for bachelor degree programs. They are usually cheaper. Lapland university of applied sciences have the cheapest degree program. At about 4k a year, even better if they give you a scholarship.
I can't recommend any course for you. But go to studyinfo. fi, and search for courses that you like, also use the filter botton to search better. But I'll give you a possibility of relocating without spending much.
Lab university of applied sciences just started a four year engineering bachelor program called sustainable solutions engineering. So you study the first 60 credits (out of 240 credits) online, if you perform well, then from the second year, you can study in Finland for free.
The university will assist you to come to Finland, and tuition fee will be free. The country needs people in that field, so they exempt that program from tuition payment.
You won't find the link to the program on their website (I don't know why), but drop your email and I'll send it to you, so you can apply. I got it through their newsletter, since I applied there long time ago when I was like you, trying to japa.
Goodluck mate. May God bless your hustle. Big brother... I fit get the link? |

It doesn't take half as much to get a man in the mood, so why should a man go through all that trouble to get some? Men reason that way too. 3.
