Who used the new ukvi ID app to change their visa status, from student to the skilled worker visa, did you receive your BRP upon successful application, if you did, how long did it take? If not, how can one travel put of UK and back without a physical proof?
Justwise, and anyone with experience.

Smile4mee01: I'm in Australia, and will be finishing in 3 months. Immigration is also tough here. Even in the regional areas where most ppl rush to. Nothing is guranteed. The issue here is that every year they change thier PR requirements to meet thier needs. So some students get stuck. Health related courses have a slight edge.
I recently got my Canada visit visa , which may be my last resort as canada as it has programs to convert to PR.
PSW pays well here, some ppl use thier 3yrs post study Visa to grind and set up themselves for.the rest of thier lives in thier home country.
Regardless of how it is. Nothing beats a Great Nigeria. Until Nigeria works, it's hard to feel at home elsewhere. Don't ever make the mistake of touching down in Abuja or Lagos airport. Guy naija cast. |

You can't be asking for UK sim, or wake up out of the blue to lie to me about something so you can obtain from me and I will respond. |

JESHAL: Always view women from cost to benefit, risk to reward,is the sex worth with regards to the disrespect and shame on your masculinity, is the sex worth the loss of frame I want to back this up with a true life story. I met a friend, an Aussie in London, he had a girlfriend, a Scottish, my Aussie friend had just left his previous relationship due to reasons not known to me, then he met his Scottish girl. Well from pictures this let herself go and all not going into details... Thing is, my Aussie friend lost his dad in December, and from what he told me, he had sex with his girl during that time of mourning his dad (so he thought). Long story short, this guys in police station and being investigated by the police for rape. He was in a sexless relationship because at a time the vibes of sex died in the relationship. At least he never had sex with his girl from the time I knew him till now he is in trouble. The problem is not him being accused a rapist, the problem is that he can never be employed again in UK, and he's lost his job. I myself can't even be seen with him nor have any communication with because of the kind of job I do. In the end, it's not worth it. |

PavillionEnergy: Hello Nairalanders, I need advice regarding this opportunity.
I applied for an Engineering Graduate Trainee Position recently. I wrote the aptitude and technical tests and passed. I also attended the interview and I was successful.
The Contract Form was sent to me and I saw some clauses that I need to discuss here before I append my signature.
1. The training runs for two years before conversion to a full staff.
2. You cannot terminate the contract for the training once you sign. You must stay for the full two years.
3. There is a canteen at the factory, but you have to buy the food.
4. There is no full HMO benefits but the factory has a clinic to attend to medical needs of the trainee.
5. The gross pay for the first year is 50K. The gross pay for the second year is 70K and from the third year, you earn 100K.
6. The company does not offer accommodation for the trainees.
7. I am not sure if the company uses staff bus.
8. Work is Monday to Saturday. 9:00AM to 6:00PM. Although Saturday work ends by 1:00PM
NOTE: I stay in the FCT so I would need to relocate. The company is in Lagos. What kind of contract does not leave the worker room to terminate if one is no longer interested? Please do not accept such offer. You are not a slave. |

Selling properties and travel abroad for a greener pasture is the greatest mistake you will ever make. Illegal or legal African immigrants hardly get a well paid job. They end up sweeping the streets washing plates and doing terrible jobs that they cannot do in Nigeria.
Modified;I want to make an emphasis on what I am trying to say.I said selling my valuable asset like, land, houses, business that is putting food and other basic needs on my table to travel abroad is the greatest mistake I will never make. Not that if I have the cash and there is not going to be an immigration issues i will not go.Some Nigerians who sold their properties and travel abroad 8 years ago are still hiding from immigration officers because they don't have a legal stay there I hope I have make it clear to some of you quoting me? They went the wrong way. I know a pharmacist in Nigeria with 5 children. He travelled with his wife and children together at once via education, the wife's education is almost over, he is starting his own. Yes in the beginning, it was horrible for them, but later in this family supported me when I was at my lowest. |

emmaodet: True....and that is why i look at people who criticize guys spending on women, saying if their guys come he won't help. There is one funny/bad attitude about humans in general, when you help them, they keep coming back when they need more. Their brain won't tell them enough or to reciprocate first before asking for another. It is always a one-sided relationship and not balanced or mutual....Always parasitic. I have many of them who have dropped their asses. One always ask me for money.........He is wise enough to be spacing it every 3-3 months so that it won't look obvious. Every time he will be sharing experiences of ladies he has banged. I don't have a problem with that, just don't put your burden on me because i am not putting min on you and i am trying my best to plan my life so as not to put my burden on you. So if you don't plan your life, don't disturb who is planning his. Exactly. I have one guy who is always coming up with different stories to nick money off of me. The last one was a basket ball exam he said he is taking and that he needs N180k to take the exam and he only has N60k. |

Profperfect: Dear Fam,
Please help me out(advice) on this , I am writing at this odd hour because I have lost my peace and I can't close my eyes and sleep .
My relationship has not been a rossy one at all, I have my faults (though am not a womanizer or a cheat) God bears me witness, but believe me, the girl I'm dating and almost settling down with after some years of dating has been hell, trust issues, disrespectful, someone who told me she can never respect or submit to me in her life, I have endured and endured her, she always overrides me. I can't talk or complian of her wrong doings , she will react badly, very insulting (countlessly insulted my father and mother but I have never ever retailiated, does care about what I feel or how I feel.
Should I talk of sex? I have never cheated on her for the past 6 years plus since we met (started dating) at a young age at uni and after uni, I respect her even in her absence, but she has mingled with different guys that has cost out relationship, in all these she claims she has done nothing wrong.
The main issue of all right now is that her boss, she once worked for who she was consciously sleeping with inside office once others are not around, always, hotel, even when they (claim) or go to conference or meetings together, knowing that he is a married man, called her yesterday to give her a job offer to return . This is a boss she served years back, even during uni he kept calling and always wanting to have her, during and after NYSC he kept calling her for him to have a bite, same boss she was pregnant for and aborted for him, though she hanged it on her boyfriend as of that time and the guy didn't know . She never told me all these her self, but I won't like to share here how I got to know.
The same man she has been avoiding for years, that she doesn't want to go back to sin or her past life, but just yesterday she even took excuse sneaked out of office and went to see him and accepted the offer, then came back home called me to tell me this and that and before I could talk she said she has accepted it, was shocked and trying to reason why she did that, she asked me if there was anything wrong in her decision, she began to yell at me on phone, as usual I kept mute and ended the call. Please would I be wrong if at this point I take a bow and leave now?
Please help me push it to the front page. She is a Nairalander too, she sees nothing wrong in the wrong things she does. Let the world hear my story and correct me if am wrong on taking the decision. As much as I believe this isn't real, I'd still drop an advice. You would be wrong if you left. Stay around, she might change. |
