I told someone that Amaechi wasn't really trying to stop the President. He just wanted Jonathan to show his strength and force his way into that stadium and they fell into the trap. I wonder why they did not use the federal stadium in port harcourt for the rally.

Now watch Amaechi use it as a campaign item against the PDP.

PoliticsRe: Why We Have Not Been Able To Rescue Chibok Girls – Jonathan by Reptyle(m): 12:08pm On Jan 25, 2015

President Goodluck Jonathan has explained why the federal government had not been able to rescue the abducted Chibok girls.

Speaking, yesterday, at the palace of the Shehu of Borno, where he had gone to pay homage to the traditional ruler, when his campaign train got to the state, the president blamed the non-rescue of the abducted Chibok girls on external forces.

He however promised that his administration would do everything possible to end the Boko Haram insurgency in the coming months.

He promised that his administration would rebuild the areas affected by the insurgency after the government ends it.

This will be achieved using initiatives like the Victim Support Fund, Presidential Initiative for North-east and Safe School Initiative.

Budgetary allocation to the affected states will also be increased.

Jonathan vowed that his administration would rebuild and redesign Borno State in such a way that children will have access to education and better future.

We feel the pain of Borno people. I personally feel more pained when people accuse me of of being involved in the problem for some political advantage.

I have said it many times that my ambition is not worth the blood of any Nigerian.

And I dont think any president or human being can do what they accuse me of doing, the president said.

Crap!

Mr. President, You were unable to get the girls back because it took your government 3 whole weeks to get off its lazy bum to do anything.

You were unable to get them back because you simply viewed the saga as just another attempt by "detractors" to embarrass you before the whole world.

Your government treated those girls like collateral damage while the terrorists where taking them away and cleaning their tracks in the sand. It took the whole world crying out for you to wake up and act but by then it was too late.

The blood of those children and every single Nigerian, military or civilian, that has died under your watch is on your head Mr. President and posterity will judge you.

PoliticsRe: Return Jonathan Or Forget One Nigeria – Ijaw People by Reptyle(m): 4:56pm On Jan 24, 2015
With the way all these niger delta war mongers on Nairaland are baying for war, one would think that the President turned the Niger Delta into eldorado during this his first tenure. Apart from the handful of extremely wealthy ex militants created by this government, how has Jonathan ' s government affected the Creek dwellers?
PoliticsRe: Return Jonathan Or Forget One Nigeria – Ijaw People by Reptyle(m): 12:41pm On Jan 24, 2015
This is a mere gathering of ex thugs apparently high on some of the good stuff. These ones can't speak for one local government not to talk of the entire Ijaw nation.

What baffles me is why the President will allow a member of his government convene such a meeting. I am also a bit surprised that the governor and his deputy were also at the meeting.

I have said it before that we have always been divided along religious and ethnic lines....but this President has amplified these divisions to gain political leverage.

I do not understand how a man that wants to run for President of one Nigeria under a democratic system will allow his lackeys issue this kind of threat against national unity.

This is the umpteenth time this threat has been issued with the DSS keeping mute.

Ok....contunu.... undecided

You are not very intelligent. You have a knack for forensics but dint have the discipline or the patience. Look at the no. of decimal places the percentages are summarized to and do some calculations as to what could have happened if only about 100 people sat for it. In 1961 they were taking exams in Yoruba in WASC, why won't it be the same for Hausa. Since you people have been spreading the yarn that Hausas have been enslaving you the Ibos, does it not stand to reason that they would be offering Hausa in WASC for purely cultural imperialism purposes alone?.
Bros are you are getting all analytical with a doofus?

Do you want him to suffer a migraine?

I have given up on all these pseudo-intellectuals we have on nairaland these days.

Even if you bring the registrar of WAEC abi na WAEC in 1961 to clear Buhari, this half wits will continue to talk kak.

Please I am no GEJ supporter, I am still examining the two candidates to know whom I can cast my vote for, but I am rattled by this issue, and I have this simple question, if Gen Buhari can not keep safe some thing as simple and important as his school certificate, Olevel for that matter, or if something happened to it,( which is highly possible ), can not immediate take the necessary official step, how then can we be sure that he can lead and keep safe a country as complex and fragile as ours

Shalom.
Buhari wrote WASC about 53 years ago and can't find his certificate...how careless of him angry angry

Jonathan has only been President for 6 years. Out of 774 local governments handed over to him by Late President Yaradua, how many does he plan to hand over to the next government?

You question Buhari's capacity to rule because he lost personal documents during a coup...what do you then say about a President who has lost whole local governments to Boko Haram?

If such a careless person who has lost several local governments to Boko Haram in barely 5 or 6 years, how many will he lose if re-elected?

jacksparrow1207:
We know your Buhari went to school, but can he pls, pls and pls present copies of his certificates? Is that too much to ask for?
He does not have his certificates.

That was what he stated in the affidavit he swore to and submitted in lieu of his certificates.

Since you claim you believe he is educated, why do you continue to insist he present document which he ab initio had stated he did not havehuh

There is really no need for this Catch 22 situation some people are trying to create here.

If his statement is not satisfactory to you, you have the right as a citizen to go to court to compel INEC to disqualify him....as long as you can convince the courts that not having his original or bromide copy of his certificate is enough grounds to disqualify him.

Otherwise, we need to stop this pointless and somewhat obtuse back and forth on this matter.

Buhari does not have his certificates but he feels he is eminently qualified to run. INEC who is the regulator, agrees with him and has duly recognised him as such.

Right now, God willing, only the courts can stop him from contesting...period!!!

It is not given when you complete your course. When you did so, you are given a school testimonial. Principal letter is just a letter affirming that you are of good character and usually given to somebody who wants to drop out of school and look for something else to do. It is usually given to a dullard who is of good character. The prinicpal may just say " mr. you are good in character but cant cope with the rigours of academic world. pls can you enlist in the army, i will put a nice word for you". That was how those Onyibo principals did it those days and Buhari benefited from it.
Interesting!

Did you receive one when you dropped out from school?

No disrespect, but the way you cited the content of a letter of recommendation tells me that you must have handled one before.
PoliticsRe: We Don’t Have Buhari’s Credentials - Army by Reptyle(m): 4:59pm On Jan 20, 2015
Good.

Finally the Army has come clean.

It is now left for the PDP or any other interested party to go to court based on this information and seek any relief.

Until the courts rule however, Buhari will remain the candidate of the APC, contest and hopefully win the coming elections.

sCun:
LONDON, Nov. 17— More than 40 soldiers have been executed in Lagos after a plot to assassinate Nigeria's military leaders was uncovered, a London newspaper said in its Sunday issue. The paper, The Observer, said 42 officers and enlisted men were involved, including two lieutenant colonels and four majors. The plan had been to gun down the Nigerian leader, Gen. Mohammed Buhari, and his ministers while they were watching the independence day parade in Lagos on Oct. 1, the paper said. But the plot was revealed, and the plotters were rounded up and shot in an underground firing range at Ikeja, outside Lagos, it said. General Buhari toppled the civilian Government of President Shehu Shagari in a coup on Dec. 31, 1983.

I am a Nigerian but based in Austria. When I heard that Buhari was coming out for presidency under the APC i was happy because I felt that will give PDP a lot of heat and make them to sit up. I came home recently and got my PVC and reserved it for Buhari until now.

I am presently pursuing my PHD over here but since I heard and read that Buhari hadn't the minimum requirement SSCE, it was then that I lost hope for the party called APC for ever fielding a man like Buhari, who is in my estimation more or less a stark illiterate. Why has APC failed to field sound minds like Fashola, Oshomole, Ngige, Fayemi et al? I am sick and tired of APC and their gimmicks. There is no way a Buhari can value educational system because he hardly know what education is about unlike GEJ

On this note I desist from this moment to support Buhari and I reserve my vote for GEJ because he appears well educated and will give more attention to education because he knows the end product unlike Buhari who thinks that quota system is still working even in the 21st century.
