I did....and I still wonder why people feel inclined to pen drivel like that. |
I sometimes wonder why people feel inclined to sit down and pen drivel like this. |
omonuan:Errrrr ... and according to you, the word "apostle" and thw concept thereof ceased to exist in Christiandom after these 12 right ![]() Please enough of this nonsense already!!! |
I just took my time to google this Aribisala and I discovered he has been on this pursuit of pitching Pauline doctrines against Christian doctrines for long. Paul's messages were not different from Christ's. For instance, Ask that idiot Aribisala that if works alone is what is required to get you into heaven, why did Christ tell the robber crucified with him that he would be in heaven with him? What "works" did that robber do that would qualify him for heaven but for the GRACE of God that saw him crucified with Jesus Christ? Aribisala is no Christian. He is a demagogue who undertakes to write academic treatise of various topics in order to show off some measure of intelligence. True Christians will do well to be wary of Femi Aribisala and his ilk in these times that we are in... |
Isn't Femi Aribisala that pro-PDP/anti APC public commentator who can barely mask his hatred for an entire region of the country ![]() A religious and ethnic bigot? Am I supposed to take such a one serious when he mouths off about biblical doctrines? Seriously? ![]() Mtchewwww.... ![]() |
As far as I know, the suspect was not set free per se. The case was struck out for a lack of diligent prosecution from the FG. All that the FG needs to do is to re-arrest the guy, put their house in order regarding the prosecution and represent the case for trial. A judge cannot lock away a suspect indefinitely if his accuser is not showing any interest in pushing the case. The judge did nothing wrong. |
mikeansy:Bullcrap!!! The tension in the House of Reps was not initiated by the members but by external forces bent on interfering in the smooth running of the House. Leave the legislators to resolve their issues. Leave them to deal with the speaker they elected. Stop sending policemen and soldiers to hassle members. The police had absolutely no business trying to prevent members access to the House yesterday on the silly excuse that they heard that thugs were planning to invade. If that was the case, why was the gate shut against the Speaker but not the deputy speaker? |
This is total rubbish. TB Joshua should prepare for his day in court and quit all these theatrics. It is so unfair to the souls of all who died in that tragedy and their mourning families. MEND ko, Repair ni... ![]() |
Don't know how true but I just read on twitter that there is an ongoing impeachment plot against the Speaker by the 7 PDP members of the 26-man Ekiti house of assembly. Is there anyone that can confirm this please? |
egift:Easy bro. I think this writer was actually making fun of the anti-muslim/muslim proponents. Read it again. |
chukwudi44:Are you serious ![]() I doubt very much that this has anything to do with what "they people" think. This is about the constitution and if there is any truth to this story, then the governor needs to tread with caution...except the people of Ekiti now operate a different constitution. The governor cannot afford to trample on the very constitution from which he draws his powers. There are just some things that should not be reduced to the banal level of petty party politics. |
Seun:Seun, did you really put up this post or your account has been hacked? Strange... ![]() |
This is a very interesting thread. I am particularly impressed by how the OP has resisted the multi-pronged attempts to reduce the thread to another banal APC vs PDP or Akpabio vs Fashola thread. I wish this is how all threads on Nairaland go...hard facts vs hard facts. Regarding the topic, sadly Akpabio is not alone in this subterfuge. Many of our governors are media superstars with very little real development that impact on the lives of the real people on ground...not those that live abroad and need to see glitzy images of their countries so they can "boast to their foreign friends." The government at the federal level is no different. We continue to hold the short end of the stick while our demigod politicians continue to sell us hot air. |
Balkan:The "WHOLE NORTH" made that statement and yet you had northerners standing on the same podium with GEJ during his declaration yesterday right? |
If the only reason you have for campaigning against Buhari's candidacy is his tribal origin, then you belong in the same pot as the retards that issued the statement captured in that headline. |
Collynzo9:At least he and his ilk from every tribe in Nigeria had the courage to sign up and fight so that bloody ingrates like you can seat in comfort typing rubbish on Nairaland to impugn his sacrifice. |
Our soldiers in the war front are carrying rusty AK47 rifles like flipping guerrilla rebels from Somalia while those deployed to guard our politicians tote top of the range assault weapons. A sorry case of misplaced priorities. Those of them that protest this sad situation are declared mutinous and sentenced to death. Our soldiers have been reduced to kamikaze troops fighting and dying in an unwinnable war against a foe that continues to grow in confidence and strength just because it serves some politician's sinister agenda to remain in power by all means. Nigeria is sitting on several kegs of gun powder and playing with matches. RIP to the dead...those of us waiting to die salute you. |
This is a hilarious thread... ![]() |
poiZon:Is that all you were able to deduce from my post? Seriously? SMH! |
PapiWata:Contrary to your opinion, 2015 marks the end of our President's tour of duty. If he wins the elections next year, it will be the beginning of another tour of duty. I did not express any opinions about the effectiveness or otherwise of the military campaign in the North. My post was about our President who like Emperor Nero of Ancient Rome, has chosen to fiddle while Nigeria burns. If I do have complaints about the effectiveness of the war against terrorism, I am within my rights to address my concerns to the President as he is the Commander in Chief of the Armed Forces and the buck stops at his table. I do not know what "facts on the ground" you are alluding to. The only fact on the ground in my opinion is that thousands of Nigerians, including the innocent students who may have died in the Yobe bomb attack this morning, have lost their lives to the crises in the North in spite of the "best" efforts of this government. |
ibedun:Take it easy man! Don't toe this path of hate towards an entire ethnic group just because of a few politicians The truth is that politicians are a breed apart from the rest of us....only a few of them have our genuine interests at heart. Do not buy into the politician's agenda to hate one another so we can be divided and they will continue to have their way. |
denko:Makes no sense right? Which is why you need to take another look and begin to ask yourself more fundamental questions like: Who stands to benefit from the crises in the North in the long run? |
PapiWata:Oh just 2019? One would think he was bidding to rule for a lifetime with the way he is going about it. While our President is rabidly chasing a new term in office, Nigeria burns under his watch. He seems to have forgotten that he still has about 6 months worth of his current mandate to deliver on. He seems to have forgotten that part of that mandate includes ensuring the protection of all Nigerians, internal and external...including his "enemies" from the North of Nigeria. At this rate, I hope there will be a nation to rule over before 2019. |
atlwireles:Thank you o! Nice to hear one voice of wisdom amongst this maddening crowd of "My Benz is Bigger than Yours" crooners. |
So let me see, 40 million Nigerians can now afford cars according to Professor Iweala's powerpoint slides. Another 49 million can't afford toilets. Interesting statistics. |
arsetalks:Figures are from her powerpoint slides. Okonjo Iweala is the world's only Professor of Voodoo Economics! |

I wonder how people like Femi Aribisala sleep at night after penning this kind of hate laced and biased write up. I have read a number of his recent articles and notice that as far as he is concerned, the entire evil plaguing Nigeria, stems from Northern Nigeria, the APC and Bola Tinubu. According to him, the PDP is a party of Angels led by Archangel Goodluck Jonathan while the APC is made up of demons championed by the evil super demon called Bola Tinubu. According to Aribisala, Tambuwal and others that crossed to APC have sold their souls to the devil while Mimiko, Peter Obi, Fani Kayode and the likes that crossed to the PDP found salvation. Aribisala wants us to believe that Buhari's decision to identify with his people and his religion is a travesty while Goodluck Jonathan's penchant for absolving his people from any wrongdoing before any formal investigation is justified. Femi Aribisala is a deranged and bigoted hypocrite. |
I hope going to beer parlors every friday and been driven around in a relic while surrounded by stern faced security agents bearing concealed Tavors and Uzzis isn't all there is to this man's 2nd coming. |
14km both ways is 28km daily. So assuming that Maku was talking about primary school where he spent 6 years, that would mean he walked approximately 50,000km over 6 years This Maku can lie for Africa o ![]() |
ratiken:The Lagos Council elections held in October 2011....3 years ago! The tenure of council chairmen is 3years...so go figure. When the tenure of elected officials expire, they leave office and fresh elections are conducted. Fashola did not SACK LGA and LCDA chairmen, their tenure expired. I hope it is now clear to you. |
