PoliticsRe: Deputy Gov Sends Stinker To Amosun by Reptyle(m): 10:17am On Oct 29, 2014
I sometimes wonder why the constitution is silent on allocating some kind of formal role to Deputy state executives beyond being an appendage and waiting on the governor's favour.

For the amount these "Deputies" draw or expect to draw from the public coffers, they should be better engaged in delivering service to the people, beyond acting as "Governor's in waiting."

If indeed Mr Adesegun's office is starved of funds and perks like he claims, the Governor needs to redress the situation immediately.

But 30,000 naira on diesel daily huh huh huh That is a lot of diesel man shocked shocked shocked
PoliticsRe: Defection: PDP Demands Tambuwal's Resignation by Reptyle(m): 9:26am On Oct 29, 2014
The PDP is between the rock and a hard place on this matter. It is an absolute catch 22 situation.

It will take a lot of political maneuvering to force Tambuwal out of that position and even for the almighty PDP, that is a very daunting task to accomplish between now and the end of this current political dispensation.

What is worse is that unlike how Obasanjo rendered Atiku redundant during their dispensation, the position of Speaker of the House of Reps cannot be so treated.

Short of killing the man, I think the PDP is going to have to eat the humble pie of defeat on this one.

u see why you and ameachi supporters club are very daft u are quick to post photo shoped pictures of road in portharcourt. And environ why not post roads in other local government areas say akuku toru , abua odua, ahoada east and west, okirika, ndoni ,ogoni, bonny, degema and other local government area is rivers state all about elekahia, old gra, gra, rainbow, agip road . The fg projects list touched every local goveenment in rivers can you and you fellow slowpoke post a pictures of roads of say oyingbo lga ,opobo nkoro or any other local goverment area apart from port harcourt city lga
Bros the guy has tried now! At least he has posted 2 pictures to back up his claim. You self back up your own FG "projects" with pictures to shut the naysayers up!!! Even if they are "photoshopped" photos of the VIP Toilet and the Fence, we will manage it. smiley smiley

Bros to tell you the truth, your attempt to counter Amaechi's claim by starting this thread was dead on arrival. To be sincere, I find it hard to believe that the FG has no footprints in Rivers State in the area of development as claimed by Amaechi. But honestly, this your thread is doing the man no good. If this list is all that the FG has been able to offer Rivers People in the last 6 years of Jonathan's government, then he has grossly failed the people of that State.

Can you please share with us what our SINators and representaTHIEVES did about the incident with their oversight powers?

Let us not forget that the House of Reps is overfilled with Arewa People's Congress, APC and the Speaker is even with them!
Oga you are someone whose opinions I respect even though we rarely see things from the same perspective. You strike me as someone who has a decent measure of intelligence and love for the progress of this nation.

But views like the one above premised on this whole APC vs PDP impasse do your reputation no good.

There are simply some issues that are clear cut and should not be viewed through lenses tinted by party affiliations.

There is ABSOLUTELY no reason for that minister to have remained in office after the recruitment debacle and the President should have forced him to resign if he failed to take the initiative.

If the "SINators and representaTHIEVES" as you called them fail to exercise their oversight, how about our President on whose table the buck stopshuh

Incidentally, contrary to your post, I googled and found the link below which proves that the senate caucus of the "Arewa People's Congress" as you choose to call them, issued a statement calling for the resignation of the minister at the time.

Rather than the minister taking the opportunity to be on air to console and condole and even show remorse for the demise of the unfortunate citizens, he was grandstanding and talking about "fixing the mess he createdhuh" Who does such anywhere in the world?

Exactly!!!

The hurry to milk every marginal development for political gain has always been the bane of laudable policies.

It is a good policy and I hope it is not allowed to die a natural death after the elections are won and lost in 2015.

PoliticsRe: Jonathan Cannot Win 2015 Election --- Asaridokubo by Reptyle(m): 3:28pm On Oct 19, 2014
I dont think this statement is a recent one. I think this was a statement issued prior to the 2011 elections or so.

Asari's more recent position is that Jonathan must not only run for a 2nd term, but must be allowed to win it because it is his right to have 2 terms in office regardless of his poor performance in office during his first term.

PoliticsRe: Why Are The Muslims More Desperate For Buhari To Become President Come 2015? by Reptyle(m): 8:38am On Oct 16, 2014
franklyn009:
The true about this election is the Muslims are desperate for a Muslim president and don't care who that may be, as long the person is a Muslim and will carry out what ever their agenda might be. It is more of a religion tussle.
I was in a naming ceremony of a Muslim friend of mine when d imam was called forth to pray for d baby. During his prayer, he was like pray that goodluck doesn't win next year election and that Allah would select a right and chosen candidate and put in power....dis was followed by a powerful 'amin'. And I was like why the hate and how does that relate to the naming.
Even my Muslim friends don't like hearing his name sef. There is this strong hate for him like he is a plague.

IMO, dis Muslim folks are deliberately been ignorant and sentimental considering GEJ that they don't see any good in him and they always have one reason or the other to keep hating him.

Now the question is that why that much hate on GEJ and why are anti-GEJs so desperate for buhari to win and can go to any extent to achieve that even though buhari haven't done anything to make me put my vote and trust in him............or is there really a secret agenda??
So an Imam at a naming ceremony prayed for the bolded to happen and you just jumped to the conclusion that ALL MUSLIMS are desperate for a muslim President? huh undecided

Well, I don't plan to vote for Jonathan in the next elections...and I am Christian.

Secret agenda my big black arss!!! angry

- Environmental sanitation & Waste disposal

All these, if done properly will generate further employment for our youths instead of this PROFLIGATE acquisition of WASTING assets sad

TRUTHTELA:
Its very disgusting that a LOW LIFE FACELESS SCAMMER, and HACKER is claiming that Linda " STOLE " his pictures or whatever he's claiming, he went ahead with some other HATERS to blackmail the Linda Ikeji, claiming that she " COPY AND PASTE OR STOLE THEIR STORY?

What are his INTELLECTUAL PROPERTY? WHO DOES HE WRITE FOR ( NYTIMES? ) WHY DID HE REGISTER EVERYTHING lindaikeji.com &co? WHATS HIS INTEREST?

WOLE SOYINKA, CHINUA ACHEBE, ADICHE, GOOGLE, FACEBOOK, GE, ACADEMICIANS, MEDICAL CO. RESEARCH FIRMS, APLLE, SAMSUNG AND ALL OTHER INDIVIDUALS AND ORGANIZATIONS THAT HAVE INTELLECTUAL are the ones that are suppose to be talking about INTELLECTUAL PROPERTY AND COPYRIGHT, PLS, ALL THESE LOWLIFE ROGUES SHOULD STOP MISUSING THOSE WORDS.

LINDA, STOLE PICTURES AND STORIES, YET NO SINGLE EVIDENCE, WHAT PICTURES AND STORIES IS THE GUY TALKING ABOUT? Bokoharam pix or stories? I expected him to be talking about EXCLUSIVE PICTURES OF WHERE EDWARD SNOWDEN IS or WHO BLUE IVY's Mother is.

No lawsuit can be entertained or won against Linda Ikeji, because, anything u put online is for public consumption. She gives credit and quote her sources. The guy wanted MONEY ( thats what he meant by " CREDIT" ). Thousands of news organisations, repeat news from other sources and uses pictures. Google and Getty images didnt have a problem with Linda, theyre too BIG for such. But, one single guy just woke up and start BLACKMAILING her.

New York times, Chiamanda Adiche, Wole Soyinka, et al, will NEVER BOTHER about Linda, publishing their article or news on her blog, cos they are way BIGGER than her.

All the NOISE about Linda stole his " WORKS", which "work has he done? Is he a WRITER? Is the guy an ARTIST? Is he a MUSICIAN ? WHO KNOWS HIM? AND WHAT AWARD or NOMINATION HAS HE WON FROM HIS SO CALLED "WORKS' ? LET HIM SHOW HIMSELF/FACE LEGITIMATELY AGAINST LINDA IKEJI, then, the world and I will have RESPECT FOR HIM. Someone HIDING ON TWITTER TO RANT ABOUT A SUCCESSFUL LADY, is not going to make him successful. If his own blogging or hacking is rewarding, HE WILL NEVER HAVE TIME OR NOTICE LINDA IKEJI,BUT, NOW I KNOW HE'S A LOW LIFE.

LINDA's blog is down, then what? IN THIS SOCIAL MEDIA AGE AND TIME, LINDA WILL BOUNCE BACK. SHE HAS BUILT A BRAND. EVEN IF SHE BLOG FROM FACEBOOK AND TWITTER, HER FOLLOWERS AND SUCCESS WILL STILL BE THERE. ( IF IT'S NOT PANADOL, IT CANT BE LIKE PANADOL).

LINDA "STOLE" this and that, what I always see her posting on her blog is about celebrities tweet and FB, post, Kim, Beyonce, Flavor, D Banj, Genevive, Omotala, GEJ, PDP, APC, or one LOCAL CHAMPION or the the other, then the rest will be about NUDE MALES OR FEMALES, SO WHAT's their to STEAL? WHAT ELSE IS ON THAT BLOG ? PEOPLE SHOULD STOP HATING INNOCENT SOULS.

LEGALLY, SHE's good and NOTHING WILL HAPPEN, IT's just ENVY, BLACKMAIL AND RUMOR.

Just as the same people that DESTROYED NIGERIA ARE BUSY EXPECTING JONATHAN TO BUILD ELDORADO IN FOUR YEARS, INSULTING HIM HERE AND THERE. Your tribe is home to some of the biggest and most CORRUPT SOULS IN AFRICA, YET YOU'LL BE CALLING JONATHAN A CORRUPT LEADER.

HYPOCRISY, LIES, ENVY, DOUBLE STANDARD MUST STOP, IF YOU GUYS WANT TO MOVE THAT YOUR COUNTRY FORWARD

N:B I'm not a fan of Linda or GEJ, I open her blog laugh at comments and keep it moving ( i have never commented for one day). She's doing good and will SURELY COME BACK BETTER. Gej, is a failure, but, FAILURES SHOULD NOT BE CALLING HIM OUT EITHER
Plagiarism is a serious offense and it really does not matter whose intellectual property is been cited or copied. Once you do not get permission or credit the source, you are guilty of intellectual property theft. In some countries, you could get a long jail term for that.

There is no sentiment involved here and unlike you, I am actually a huge fan of her blog and her success story. But she is really lucky all she got was having her blog shut down. It could have been worse.

She can bounce back from this...but I hope she has learnt her lessons albeit the hard way.

Goodluck to her.

PoliticsRe: What Does Buhari Do For A Living? by Reptyle(m): 2:26pm On Sep 15, 2014
Ikengawo: no confusion. There's no doubt Buhari is one of the richest men in Africa. The question is how did he gain that wealth if he was 'president' for such a short time? How big was Nigeria's GDP at the time that a common general would be able to field federal elections for the next 30 years, and drive bullet proof cars in 2014. Didn't Benjamin Adekunle that came from the exact same army die in poverty? I understand Buhari's rank was higher but how much higher?

Right now Buhari is unemployed and has been since his employment with Sani Abacha. What does he do for a living? Is this not what Nigerians call 'joblessness'

Or has he been out of "job" since the death of Abacha?

Is he a political jobber?

Recently, Naaba told us he has been our of job since when he left the offfice of the Speaker of the House of Rep, people like that should not be allowed to near the corridors of power!

Those chanting the "sai Buhari" thing, should please educate some of us on what Buhari is doing for a living!

I greet you all.
Are you sure we shouldn't be asking a similar question of your patron, our President?

He more, seeing that he is still in public office smiley

As to your question, I do not know what Buhari does for a living. But I think it is safe to say that a man of his caliber can NEVER lack anything given the way our country operates.

As to funding an electoral campaign, I do not think that championing the formation of a political party and running for Presidency on its platform naturally translates to been its sponsor. The APC has a lot of wealthy people in it who can pool together quite an extraordinary war chest to fund the party's activities.

For instance, the alleged leading Boko Haram sponsor and our President's new bestie, Ali Modu Sheriff, was in the APC until recently. He is rumored to be one of the wealthiest men north of the River Niger. Now imagine how many people of similar standing there are in the APC and ask yourself if funding an electoral campaign or making a private jet available to the party's presidential candidate would be a problem.

You naïve fellow.
It is you who is naive my friend.

I do not think it matters who tells the story.

While our local journalists are depending on press releases from Defence HQ and reporting news about the crisis in the northeast from their studios in Lagos and Abuja, foreign journalists are going into crises spots and bringing you videos and live reports.

We have heard a lot about the exploits of our gallant soldiers in the Northeast. If these foreigners do not let us know the other aspects of the war, how will we know?

You should experience the torment of an average citizen in one of the troubled areas who is daily caught in the crossfire between the insurgents and federal troops...then maybe you wont be so smug in your demeanour.
