The zombie king: , should come and tell us how the pleteora of strikes across various sectors is caused by PDP and Jonathans 100 years of misrule ![]() |
Reno why are you brainwashing some people now? Let's quote a sane members post below. One of the few, reasonable youths we have on this forum. Meanwhile, (If you are a frustrated supporter of thieves and criminals that looted and raped our darling nation for 16 wasted years, don't bother to quote this post, you will be ignored and if you go outta the line to break the rules of this noble forum, adequate measures will be taken to address your foolishness and crudeness in advance. Love you darling wailers kiss)
A zombie will always be a zombie!!! Your own is the irredeemable version |
saphiere:Must he be a nairalander for your to talk sensibly, dunderhead |
Sorry for the loss. BTW, hope Jagaban of Lagos has been notified and has his cheque book ready. |
kanuisagoat:Bro, I fear you ooh, How do you do this thing?
|
radautoworks:Great idea, drivers here can come up with a number that will work. Another thing is drivers being able to hang in there to nap and await there next trip. |
Pearl1910:I doubt they can win the case in court, on what basis is the road a 1-way street by 3? any road sign to indicate? any warden to direct drivers so? As someone not familiar with the area, how am I to know an otherwise dual way becomes 1-ways by 3 pm? If I say pursuing 5-star makes some drivers timid, some people will say it is necessary to make a living. I have driven on BRT lane and on sighting lastma, I moved to the main way. When they stopped me and threatened to take me to their office. I denied right there and then I had ever used the BRT lane and asked them to produce evidence that I ever did pass the road. If they can prove I did, I will accompany them to their office. After, causing like 10 mins traffic, they had to let me go because they definitely could not win the case. Immediately my case was resolved , they brought out their phone to snap anyone else passing the BRT lane. |
peeps4u:Dat is nairalands official dunderhead |
Worldwideviral:Pls share d thread link |
radautoworks:Not to play the sex card, but I doubt a guy will pull such a stunt. Even if the post was gender-neutral, experience tells me that is a lady's handwork. So maybe an army woman will. Funny enough, the few times I have given uniformed men/women trip, they appear very level-headed. Your e-haling driver is not your stress ball, keep your shit together and don't dump it on him because he has his own issue to manage also. I would also have responded the same way (the only difference is I will send the message with a number other than that registered on the app) |
Worldwideviral:jeffreyscottoneilj@gmail.com Note the way the email looks, that yahoo boys email format. Learn, so you dont fall for it again |
Klass99:One thing most commenters here fail to properly appreciate is op and his wife/gf had triplets. It was not a decision of theirs neither was that within their power. Many Nigerians survive (barely) on wages such as op. Op fortunate circumstance is that he had 3 at once. I will just advise him to reduce the money he gives his mother because it probably takes a miracle of biblical proportions to feed 5 mouths and carter for 3 babies on 25k particularly during Buhari's regime. @Prospertochu , reduce the money you give your mum and give your wife. Your mum needs to understand and take a cut. Your wife is not being unreasonable, what you are asking of her is almost impossible. |
@officialmario make your divorce with these demonic groups final by involving anti-cult activist or paramillitary officers, only then can you be free from them. The moment you start progressing in life again, they will come calling for you. They boast that the likes of Davido and Burna boy are their members but in reality 999 out of 1000 become street urchins, political thugs, armed robbers, drug addicts, alcoholics and yahoo boys, you will rarely find a cultist better than these 999. The illusion that being in confra gives them additional security is a display of stupidity because the average cultist has a life expectancy lower than that of a Nigerian as bad as our life expectancy is. They cannot sleep with two eyes close and have to rely on selina that never ends, and are killed on a daily basis like cattle. I wish you the best officialmario. Confession is a start, but you must make your divorce final and conclusive if you are to find a better purpose in life |
It sad that cultism has negatively impacted ops life and career. It's very unfortunate that some good-for-nothing souls still came here to threaten him. I weep for their parents |
Foodqueen:Oversabi madam, why did you call out her old moniker, she created a new moniker for a reason you should have respected that decision. |
@ Kanoski, I did this trade full time on bolt for about 2 months and it appears you own your car which gives you a lot of flexibility to succeed in this trade. Permit me to share my survival strategies with you (although I have a rating that fluctuated between 4.4 - 4.6). - I don't do the island rush thing: The island has a lot of sassy and ill manner kids (apologies to residents there). I live on the mainland and "POSITION" my car to received trips that keep me on the mainland. By mainland I mean Ikeja, Ilupeju, Yaba not mushin, powerline and co. Position just simply means there are places you park that determine the trips you get. There were times I did 100% of my trips with Ikeja , Ogudu, Ojudu, Ilupeju......good roads, well-mannered riders and good money.....also mainland pips are less likey to keep you waiting for long periods and open to you talking to them (my experience) - Call before you leave you move to pick up a rider and have a 1 min talk: calling gives you an insight into the kind of rider you are going to meet, it also helps you "position" yourself well before you meet them. I have had instances where I cancelled trips just because the riders sounded very rude over the phone. If you carry such riders, they will give you poor rating, spoil your mood (causing you to transfer it to subsequent riders) and probably mess up your car - dress well, keep your car clean & in good working condition (including your A/C). - Go over and beyond where the driver deserves it. Let me give you examples: - I once took a girl from VI to somewhere in marina. I ended the trip on Eko bridge because I realise she was fidgety and ask that I end the trip on the bridge. I told her Eko bridge isn't safe and she opened up she doesn't have money to pay for being stuck in traffic. I told her not to worry, collected what she had and took her there nonetheless. Except she is a demon, she will rewards such with 5* and moreso, if she had dropped in traffic, I wont be able to pick any else nonetheless. -On bolt, let riders know the route you are following based on the map (on indriver, you are king of your route) - a lot of issues arise from route-related disputes - take time to rest - driving when stressed often means you have little tolerance to riders misbehaving Let me stop here, others can also tell you how they cope |
The conversation on maintaining a high driver rating is interesting. Let me drop my own opinion based on my experience: First, most drivers consider their ehailing work transitory (I myself join when I left my last job and decided not to be idle but couldn't leave it even when I got a job ). The reality though is that your progress in life is a function of your mind and the mentality you cultivate . Also, your mind is conditioned by the kind of interactions you make (with animate or inanimate things) and how you respond to them. Don't for the sake of having a 5.0 sacrifice it.I have booked rides with drivers having 4.9plus on bolt after several hundreds or thousands of trips, and while I appreciate their extra effort at pleasing everybody, I often see a person whose mind has been broken by the desire to please everybody (particularly knowing the kind of riders that you will often find on bolt). Don't for the sake of having a high rating sacrifice allow your mind to be conditioned into someone that is perpetually subservient and of low self-esteem because many riders look down on drivers as no-do-gooders or not capable of being any better and for such riders to rate you 5*, you will have to bend back a lot and take shit that will likely disrupt your mentality. So why I congratulate drivers with high ratings on bolt, I ask that you ensure it is not coming at a high price. Don't sacrifice long term ambitions for short term gains. |
Buharinomics, ride on sai baba. Two more years of the "change agenda" still yet to be unveiled |
Freestainworld:Buhari is rewarding those states for the millions of votes they gave him. E remain kano state wey give am the highest vote country-wide. |

LyfeJennings:Hmmm, I think I know this lady. She drives a tinted camry pencil light or peugeot? Life is a mystery......she celebrated her birthday just last month |
In almost 1 year of indriver and not taking 1/10th of the shit some riders attempted to try with me while I used bolt. Also, my bolt rating was always round 4.3-4.5 largely because many riders knew they punitive way the rating works and take advantage of it to "punish drivers". Imagine being on 4.6 and one single rider with nasty attitude still rewards your tolerance and patience by sending it to 4.4. I salute drivers on bolt, youve got to hve a very thick skin
|
Bolt's system of forcing drivers to take all trips, setting fares and wait time policy has made hs created riders with very nasty attitude. I suspect these same riders will use indriver and behave like normal human being. Let me cite specific behaviours: - insisting a driver takes a particular route because its their money (on indriver I notice they plead not demand, and I have almost always turned it down by simply telling them it distorts the pricing arrangement) -insisting driver makes several stops and even wait a particular time (also because they believe the N10 per min charge is adequate compensation for waiting). I have never experienced this in almost 1 year on indriver, I experienced it every week on bolt . -accusing drivers of being fraudulent for taking a particular route or because of the eventual fare charge. Na this one dey pain me pass because some of them are not up to my subordinate at work and I could honestly have waived the fare if they had asked -asking drivers to run errands for riders intrip |
