Trustedpronet:corruption does not mean a contract is not executed, it means it is not done in a way that delivers value for money. when the contract can be directly given to a competent railway engineering company, you give it to you lackey on very favorable terms who takes a hefty cut then sub contracts to another company and you are justifying such rubbish. |
faoogoke:"State capture" is corruption. Common sense should tell you contract is commercial and there is money to be made. tinubu is giving his cronnies or himself indirectly commercial rights to countries' rail routes possibly for many decades by creating a company with no known competence to execute the contract in his favour. Go and ask for a refund of your school fees |
Trustedpronet:error. The guy is tinubu's lackey and is just acting as a front to siphon the funds on behalf of his boss. He's past cases show money laundering is his speciality |
where is freestuffng and seunmsg come and earn your pay defending jagaban |
ask the moderator to move it to frontpage, you would get many helpful comments |
Lexusgs430:Is this is a british way of reporting? Is it the collapse of the Nigerian currency that affected indian and chinese student enrollment also? Same way they blame children missing classes for the recession. |
flyinnizam:Looks like it is still nursing young piglets. Feel sorry for the piglets, their lives probably is now hangs in the balance |
Ugochinyere1:Seen, responded |
Ugochinyere1:Sure |
Ugochinyere1:Yes |
jedisco:Beyond universities funding. It will likely strain the nhs as students are massive net contributors and were helping to fill many low skilled job vacancies without recourse to any sort of public funding. Am very sure they offered many economic benefits that were overlooked and underappreciated. I strongly suspect students sharp slowdown is one of the reasons why the country went into a recession and inflation stopped falling. Also, the government doesnt also have the projected funds to offer any significant tax cuts or fund any expansive infrastructure. the government though decided to blamed children not turning in school for the recession.

CannyDoll:Do you have a job or stable source of income? If you do, there's a chance of getting one. If not, that's a big ask from any lender |
Pristine664:Your not mentally ok for posting something like this on a public forum. Where's your basic sense of humanity |
gaby:So far today, it has devalued by NGN40 against GBP. I wonder who next they will blame. |
Efftyy:Not sure about admiral but Marshmallow do accept. Your insurance broker or insurance company in Nigeria should be in a position to help. Tell them your policy number and what you need |
what can save the naira is for the CBN to keep selling to BDC as it did early this week. Even better when they sell below market price as done. I suspect the CBN will not keep selling, so I also expect some form of depreciation in the coming weeks as the CBN governor seems bent on the free float experiment. Every other thing is just chasing shadows. |
KOVIC19COVID20:There are a few insurance companies that would accept non claims discount from Nigeria. If you can obtain it, try it, should bring down the rates if not done |
badoh:Even a dr will prescribe medication over a period of days. He wont tell you to take the whole pack of paracetamol in one sitting. The free float experiment is failing also. Cbn returned back to the traditional method of selling usd to bdc as a fixed price to stablise price. Unfortunately much of the damage is already done |
tunjijones:Was just a futile experiment in economics: Subsidy is back ,unfortunately petrol alreary tripled in prices. For floating naira, cbn has returned to the traditional method of selling cash to bdc at a fix rate and volume, but naira has already devalued by almost 100% |
Viruses:15 hours for 3 - 4 years old is unique in not being considered public funds https://www.nrpfnetwork.org.uk/information-and-resources/rights-and-entitlements/services-for-children-and-families/early-education-and-childcare/3-and-4-year-olds-15-hours#guide-content

Giftyy:Ideally, the man should return the money in the same currency the refund was made. He could charge you a fee for transaction charges or his service. In my opinion it is dishonest of him to claim your foreign exchange gain by sending you in naira if the school returned the fees in GBP |
according to freestuffng , it is just paper increase. Devaluation does not affect companies |
EWIN:The batish have dropped another update. Everyone go into part time farming if you cannot afford food Probably also start doing trade by barter so someone who plants cassava can exchange with someone who planted pepper |
carojody:Bro, personally I'll tell you to cut back. Any relationship where you drop significantly more than you get emotionally or financially, you are likely to get hurt and be left holding the bag. Get yourself a financial project in your name and start investing. Spend time with business colleagues. When she asks you for things she should financially be able to cover, tell her you are working on your project and she should pay from her salary. When she sees you are cut back, she will be forced to put in more emotionally and financially. If she is not willing to put in more, then the relationship is not worth it in my opinion People telling you communication only will solve it have either not experienced it from the victim side or have taken your wife's side |
ezekins:Don't mind them. If devaluation is what makes a country's economy great, Venezuela and Zimbabwe should have the best economies in the world. They forget the likes of Saudi and UAE, who being petrodollar economies, defend and maintain a very stable exchange rate immune from shocks that come with the cyclical nature of crude prices. |
PoliteActivist:What benefit did it bring to zimbabwe and Venezuela. It is not so much about devaluing, it is much more about how the economy is managed and how changes are implemented. UAE has a flat exhange rate that hasnt fluctuated up to 1% for many years inspite of being a petrodollar economy ans is doing very well. Many countries run a system where the value of their currency is defended and also offer many subsidies and do well. The story that Nigeria needs no subsidy and no defended currency is very one-sided as it did not take into account the kind of economy Nigeria runs or what the scenarios will be in the absence of these system. As it stands, tinubu has unleashed a chain reaction that is largely out of his control. The more naira fails to find a support level, the worse it is for fdi and consumer sentiments. The worse it is for fdi and consumer sentiments, the more naira losses value |
Kudos to the police . Quick turn around |
AyeMoJuba:Yes, Tinubu has also done his own share of borrowing and advance selling if crude oil, except you dont read the news and he has been less than 1 year. Also Tinubu supported buhari for 8 years and bank rolled his election. If that does not suggest to you that tinubu is culpable, I'm sorry to say you lack common sense Lastly the current deteriorating economy is directly tied to policies Tinubu has implemented and the manner they have been executed |
vinexe:Long story, my deduction is that you were not ready mentally and financially when you got married. You also appear not have a strong sense of accountability, how is any of the issue you mentioned your wife's faulty only, you speak as if she got herself pregnant. You complain about your family people, how is divorcing and marrying someone from your state a solution? Will you also divorce your next wife if you dont like the family? Marriage is man and wife. Family is your wife and kids. Every other person is a baggage you can shed at will. Your wife only becomes culpable if she imports her family's problem to your home against your will or take sides with her family against you cause problems in your home. Learn to appreciate the wife of your youth. Jump from woman to woman and you may live to regret it later in life. Even your kids will detest you |
Alexis11:People are running from poverty, you are running into it , consoling yourself that you dodged peter obi Yinmu...every the agbado that tinubu promised, he cant pay on time |
BAZ001:Probably somewhere in the libyan desert enroute to Poland. With the current flight cost, I doubt he can afford flight to poland. Hopefully, the polish people will see him for the fraud that he is and reject his asylum claim when he gets there |
Nelsmannnnnnnnn:Responded, thanks |
