onuman: So long as one Nigeria remains, No charms or priests can protect any Nigerian from Islamic extremists seeking for Nigeria to become wholly a Fulani country to be governed with Islamic Sharia criminal laws.
Armed Fulani herdsmen, bandits and kidnapping rings in the north are all fallouts from Boko Haram phenomenon.
Boko Haram is like the Taliban in Afghanistan; both seek for their respective countries to be governed with strict Islamic sharia criminal laws, both have millions of sympathizers in their respective countries. Americans withdrew from Afghanistan after they believed they had defeated the Taliban.
Before the American soldiers could reach home, the Taliban has taken back most of Afghanistan and now heading to the capital Kabul. Dissolve Nigeria into more manageable countries to let Boko Haram close shops. Mixing Religion with government is like injecting cancer to the masses and the country.
Stupidity on the rocks. "Divide Nigeria and everyone becomes safe". You are not thinking because you are not capable of it.
Breaking out of Nigeria makes you safe. Is that not idiotic. Look at the map of this side of Africa and think.
Pray to God through Christ. Don't follow this dummy. The fool üho depended on horses and chariots is in a Benin Republic jail. He is begging for his life. There is nothing that comes from juju but fear, üeakness, slavery and curses.
Tinubu posed for pictures with the President using a walking stick but is now angry that they were released?. Either of Sahara Reporters or its readers and admirers are dunces. I think both possibilities are true.
If these guys have nothing better to write about they should close down.
lexy2014: Dude u are thinking backwards. "Adopting a culture that works, a culture of social justice, knowledge and science over superstition and nepotism" is what promotes and produces investment in infrastructure and not what negates it. It's not rocket science
bidexiii: Honestly the United States and NATO really failed the Afghan people, I heard than Taliban has taken 11 provincial capitals in a week and has claimed to have taken Kandahar, Afghanistan’s second biggest city, in what would be a major blow to Afghan government forces. So all the Billions spent, forces sent and soldiers who died where in vain. Sometimes I don't just get this Americans
There is no government in Afghanistan Or maybe indeed more truly. Afghanistan was Taliban country they stole from them
aribisala0: HOW DID THOSE COUNTRIES GET INFRASTRUCTURE IN THE FIRST PLACE Did it fall from the sky They are not doing well BECAUSE THEY HAVE INFRASTRUCTURE
They are doing well because they HAVE A CULTURE THAT PROMOTES AND DEVELOPS KNOWLEDGE and ENCOURAGES MERIT and NOT NEPOTISM
The basis of YOUR ATTRIBUTION to infrastructure is unclear. You might as well say Nigerians are doing well in those countries BECAUSE THEY ARE GODLY
HOW DID THOSE COUNTRIES GET INFRASTRUCTURE IN THE FIRST PLACE
Have they always had infrastructure? I do not see your inferences as coming from deep thought
Those countries got to the point of having infrastructure by adopting a culture that works. A culture of social justice, knowledge and science over superstition and nepotism
Never has so much bullshit been dished in so many words. I am dazed reading this.
So.. "adopting a culture that works, a culture of social justice, knowledge and science over superstition and nepotism..". This negates investment in infrastructure? Makes it unnecessary? Or maybe, it is a binary issue and you can't have social justice without infrastructure.
Only Nigerians think like this. They use their education against themselves, think binary and can't tell the truth to save their own lives.
What I find is that many years of PDP has damaged the reasoning power of Nigerians. Nigerians also imbibed the culture of cowardly lying about things to make a point.
Infrastructure is everything. The US is possibly the most advanced country in the world and they are going back to infrastructure as an enabler. To make it even stark for corruptly nurtured Nigerians, Trump also was going to do the massive infrastructural revamp that Biden just started. Infrastructure begets large numbers of public sector jobs immediately. When you finish the projects, large nos of service sector jobs follow. Some joker was talking about IT. Ok IT. Data centers, broadband internet, 5G are infrastructure. You want to mine bitcoins, you need large nos of KWHs in electricity.
What about internal efficiencies within your economy that make your products cheaper?
What about tourist income you generate when you have uninterrupted power, beautiful roads, light rail and trams connecting beautiful hotels, cinemas and Airbnbs.
One sad thing about PDP and their supporters is that people are beginning to see through their cluelessness and their belief that Nigerians don't deserve the best. That Nigeria should remain a shit hole where a privileged few living in 3 cities can shit on the country, steal the money and go abroad to their families and for holidays.
Coolliot: That much for a Corvette? Well I guess they want NATO or western equipment, so they would pay heavily and the have diplomatic disagreements with China.....they would gave gotten a pretty solid frigates for that amount.
They should not be going for Chinese equipment even though Duertete has cultivated relationships with that regional power that is bent on so I acting that neighborhood. These corvettes would expectedly have cutting edge systems fit for dual use including scenarios for mounting surveillance against China
This is PDP ideology. Low minded, individualistic, trickle down economics with a lot of myopia and senselessness thrown in.. leading to mass corruption of societal values and poor public service culture.
Drsnives: Which village? Most of them are from there, their inheritance has been forcfully taken away from them without any compensation
I am shocked at this our penchant for commenting on what we don't know. Most of the squatters are northerners (Okada riders) and construction workers. Just that little effort to investigate and ask questions before commenting
marvin906: We really need better investment in the navy
I think no more small ships. No more IPVs, SDBs, OPVs. Deep Blue Project is in operational phase already with special mission aircrafts, UAVs and tens of small ships and boats.
The Navy should now buy a destroyer or a submarine.
Whyem15: The president gave a kill on sight order to anyone seen with an AK, it is unconstitutional but a little bit of craziness is needed in this country. I don't understand why the police is still arresting when they would have done far worse for people with petty crimes.
The police won't shoot on sight. The order was for the Army
The launch speed is one of the fastest i have seen
Reportedly 15 Mach , wonder what propellant they are using in the 1st stage to achieve such high launch speeds
That launch speed does not look like Mach15 my friend. It probably gets to Mach 10+ at some stage in flight or maybe it is the warhead that is hurled at such a speed at the terminal stage.. nobody knows
This is so stupid and myopic. Don't weaken the executive Presidency because of some hiccups. Think decades ahead and stop legislating out of victim mentality or fear.
obiekunie01: Abeg this sugarcane na which people dey buy am
i have 70 hectares of land abeg make i convert am to sugarcane plantation if i can get details of buyers.
NAIRALANDERS PLSS HELP ME WITH INFORMATION ON HOW TO GET BULK BUYERS OF SUGARCANE!!
You need to contact BUA or Dangote Sugar. They will make you an out grower with 100% financial support. If your farm is road connected to existing sugarcane processing plants, that's even better
MASTERCHIEF0847: Nigeria imports that much anti-biotics? What happened to local manufacturing?
The cheapest thing to make is common anti biotics. The drug molecules have typically made their development money hundreds of times over so the licensing is cheap and the equipment (Chinese) even cheaper. I think there is more behind this story. I think a some people are bringing in hard drugs, labeling them antibiotics and bribing customs to let them through.
cutievik: Ladies and Gentleman, I am pleased to invite you all, to our telegram group (Battlefield Discussion pictures/videos of Africa Military) which coincides significantly to the induction of Nigeria's Supertucanos planes. It is indeed significant, we have moved from Beegeagle's blog to Nairaland and now we move to Telegram, for all who have been contributing purposefully to push our group forward, we appreciate y'all. To a new beginning, we can do it, bigger and better. cheers.
