FakeUnity:You are dumb and not educated. If you break Nigeria today, it is when the harvest of dead bodies will start. You guys cannot think at all. No imagination, no sense of reality and you like deceiving yourselves. Most importantly you think your anger and frustration with Nigeria counts for anything. You better join hands to save and progress what God has given you. If you are hoping for a breakup you will waste opportunities. |
It was always going to happen when you put a decent radar in a LIFT, add capability to fire AA missiles, two engines and ordnance capacity above 2500kg. I think M346 FA is more than just Alpha Jet replacement. It's GRIFO346 radar can see > 90km |
yarimo:FFK's writings are deeper than politics as a game. He has called these guys terrorists, Jihadists and Fulani hegemonists. His rhetoric has inflamed passions beyond the usual limits of political discourse. It is only in Nigeria that such a guy finds followership among the youths. Most Nigerian youths are intellectually lazy and reach for ethnic issues the way babies reach for milk. It is a disgrace and I have to admit most PDP politicians have Nigerians' mumu buttons. |
youghs:Super Tucano is to loiter, do surveillance with accurate sensors, send / share data and then engage with precision weapons. We also need supersonic platforms for quick reaction in more distant places, for instance an attack at remote border towns. M346 FA is also coming with Air To Air capability to challenge fighter jets. Actually need both M346 FA and JF17. JF17 can carry anti ship missiles, already identified as a threat in the Gulf of Guinea area even before decision was made to acquire the aircraft. |
kabe1:Who has noticed that a significant but not majority of retired and serving NAF pilots and technical crew don't trust JF17 Block 2. I am almost certain they go for Block 3 in 2025 but I would be surprised if Block 2 holdings go beyond six (6) examples. It's radar is not better than M346 FA master and M346 has more proven reliability and cost effectiveness as a fighter/trainer. The weapons on board also probably have better integration. |
I am beginning to come round to the view that the NN acquired them as FPBs but decided on the FCS design to permit the operation of rotary wing UAVs. I read somewhere that 40 UAVs are on order by the Navy. They must be going on OPVs and purpose built FPBs that can take rotor craft UAVs kabe1:Does not really matter I think. These are not fast patrol craft but FCSs. The boats are designed for security and carrying civillian personnel and cargo. May be the Navy asked for that particular spec for their ops, I don't know but they are FCSs. |
kabe1:This depends on agreement reached with the Navy on these assets that are dedicated to their operations. They may have been 'bought, transfered and leased from the Navy' and dedicated to their operations 100%. This strategy will free the oil company from crewing and maintenance which is expensive and not their core business. They will also have their own logistics crew on board with the Navy to load and offload supplies for the rigs and platforms. Therefore, in one acquisition the company has gotten a security guard boat, supply ship and cew transport all rolled into one. Pirates have a lot of work to do if not an impossible task. |
Thank you. Please make the last paragraph bold. The contract was executed for an oil company not the Nigerian Navy Hennynitan: |
So these are FBPs to you?. Well they are not. These two are field crew supply vessels for the oil industry. They will be slighty armoured but won't carry offensive weapons. Pls show me the budget item no. from 2018 or 2019 where it shows procurement of FBP from Damen. kabe1: |
Coolliot:These ships are guarding oil installations and moving oil field logistics. They are not paid for by the Navy. They are privately owned and to be partially crewed by Naval ratings |
kabe1:These went to a private company. |
amc:There is a list attached of frontier basins to the bill. All of them were in the North. That was why some of us are speaking out. Ultra deep offshore blocks were not even in that list. It was as if PIB said; "don't look for oil anywhere else aside Gongola basin and some other Northern Nigeria basins |
Arnold1:Ibadan Airport is just the size of Aberdeen Airport or Ikeja Airport many years ago. It is appropriate to the volume of passengers. Maybe only instrument upgrade required. |
Aderewah:I think agricultural investments are policy supported by PPP arrangements under OYASDA. OYSG should stop running farms Schools are being revamped and teachers arrears cleared. Circular road is linked to agricultural and Agro industrial investments coming. Please do your research before posting non facts. I agree that the outlay for refurbishing the existing airport is too much. |
The context of this speech was Hilary Clinton accusing Republicans (administration of Ronald Reagan) of being the creators of Taliban. It is not entirely true though. The US did not create the Taliban but they funded it and used it to destroy the Soviet Union. They almost used Chenchen Republic to destroy Russia itself. |
Nemesis4you:Hot fast charged particles instead of hot fast combustion products |
FarahAideed:The North is not dry. Oil was found in the SS because that was where Nigeria looked for oil. Oil has been found in Niger, Chad and Sudan so saying there is no oil in the North of Nigeria is a puerile and necessarily sentimental statement. I agree that 30% of profits dedicated to looking for oil in the North is excessive. The tools, rigs and personnel costs of exploration in the North are much lower than Niger Delta. In any case, oil is winding down as a primary energy source so Nigeria should be following the trend and diversifying |
Nonsense. |
Daveambition:3% of opex. It is actually not bad when you consider the previous 13% derivation, NDDC, oil companies CSR.. 30% is for oil exploration in frontier basins. This is just to look for oil. Communities will benefit because expiration rigs will be working there employing people and buying services. |
Coolliot:Only if one side uses civilians as human shields. Air power is very effective. Israel uses it with cruel effectiveness |
Nemesis4you:You are forgetting there was a government. An army. I agree that the US is achieving its objectives by letting Taliban take power in an atmosphere of anarchy. |
The ignorance of calling animists, idol worshippers Christians. Irigwe is not Christian. You need education before you post stuff |
Chasegb:Tambuwal?. Just say you want PDP. Buhari will not hand over to PDP. Buhari won't hand over to any body running with Tambuwal. |
Splitting Nigeria "peacefully". You can see most IQs are low and idiots are free ranging because social media has democratized access to propagating hairbrained ideas. The idea of peaceful splitting.. and that the splitted countries dwell in peace and happiness after can only arise in the minds of desperate, hateful and neurotic people. If you start splitting now please resign yourself to mob sense, modern warlordism, ethnic cleansing, killings, slavery, rape and a thousand points of conflicts not only in Nigeria but the entire West Africa spreading southwards. Actually I think it is time the FG starts monitoring social media and arresting people for all types of ideas that could break up the country. It is getting too much that any social misfit can wake up and post incendiary stuff |
You want to explain infrastructure to young PDP supporters?. Good luck with that. These guys need lobotomy first. They would drive a brand new US jeep into slums happy that they are better than many. They had 16 years of being shown that Nigerians don't deserve the lifestyle of Europe, US and the Middle East and their unemancipated minds have accepted it. Tell them the loan to GDP ratio is healthy, they won't understand because vision is not there. Tell them the age demographics of Nigeria supports the loans, they still dont understand. The most indebted countries in the world are UK, US, Italy, France, China. They are also destinations of first choice in the world. They attract the most FDIs and their tourism incomes are in the hundreds of billions but Nigerian youth with their black skins, inferiority complex and darkened visions want to live 21st century with jankara market trader mentality. Infrastructure is a job creator, a business incubator, FDI magnet, revenue generator and for Nigeria with a large young population it is a no Brainerd that we should borrow to do it really fast. |
How is it that people can post ignorance so easily. Trump did not replace ObamaCare. He tried countless times but the courts did not allow him. Posting it like he did not replace Obama Care out of civic sense of responsibility. Most Trump supporters are rank amateurs. Either too young or largely uneducated. Trump withdrew from Kurdish territory. Another lie. Trump abandoned Kurds to his 'friend' Erdoğan. Arming Kurds is what most administratiins from Bill Clinton have been doing. Again to carry your local Nigerian mentality into global politics. Trump planned systematic withdrawal from Afghanistan. Why did he not implement it? The negotiations were completed with Taleban almost two years ago. He actually had started withdrawing forces and Taleban had started gaining grounds so why try to defend failure. Most Americans don't want their troops in Afghanistan. The strategic priorities are elsewhere. Afghanistan is easier to deal with from the outside. Occupying the country is death. Obama alone did not overthrow Gadhaffi The culprits are France, UK and Germany. Obama was a late convert to the decision to remove Gaddafi. The Europeans needed US power and they mounted lobbies. A key supporter of the move was Hilary Clinton and she made public statements against Obama reluctance to commit to the removal of Gaddafi. It was after that the final blows were struck |
Nemesis4you:The US appears to be trying to achieve Mach 5 to 7 with pure rocketry alobe whereas in fact Russiah hypersonics success may owe more to plasma physics than traditional rocketry. |
DubaiLandLord1:I wonder o. Taliban have never ever looked beyond Afghanistan. The only offensive thing they have ever done when they were first in power was use heavy artillery to blow up world heritage statutes. They said they were idols or demons then. They also gave Osama Bin Laden safe haven. They have never tried to actively export their ideology |
Faithful007:Also, the US is now strategically tilted against Shiite Islam rather than Sunni so a Taliban regime works better for the US against Iran, China.. probably Russia. |
Kaiser20:Well the Taliban were lied against and they have always been loved by the common people in spite of all propaganda to the contrary. I still think everything happening is deliberate to achieve an objective we don't know. By the way, the Indians are very close to the Afghan government so it might help to read what their news sources are saying |
plainol:Why?. #EndSARS no work again so na scandal. Okay |
Agboriotejoye:Buhari truncated Ajaokuta? What school did you go sir?. As for planned infrastructure projects that were not done when oil price was $100 per barrel and financial flows out Of Nigeria rivaled FDI into Europe, only God will save Nigerians from moral cowardice and mortal fear of truth but the country is not going anywhere with cowards |
