I stood my ground, and insisted I wont pay a dime, since it was never mentioned on their site that I should pay. I stated shouting and created a scene there.

After all my drama, they decided to capture and I didnt pay anything. They asked me to check in the next 3 months for the passport.

That's their problem as I am not in haste.

So why can't the Minister do something about it?

I was at their Kaduna office today 17 April to capture.

I registered online too, paid 35k for 5 years.
When I got the office, the officials said I will need to pay 15k as administrative fees. I told them I didn't see that on their website. The man informed me that it is not all information they put on their website. I insisted I wont pay because I didn't prepare for that.

They also asked for my expired passport, which I left at home because I made copy of my biodata page. so I will be there again tomorrow.

Before I left the office, they reduced the money to 7k and asked me they wont capture me until I bring the expired passport and the 7k. They said the money is for fueling and servicing of their generator

This is my dilemma today. So pathetic.

I thought the new minister has resolved everything?

Comments above are funny. Blaming the Nigerian leaders ....lol. Nigerian leaders are not the problem, but every Nigerian is.

If you ask all of them accussing our leaders what they feel about having children, you will be shocked that they want many kids. Over population is what is killing Nigeria. This is the main fundamental issue with us. Others are tribalism and religion.

Go and check all the nations with explosive population like ours, and tell me if corruption is not there. Corruption is directly related to over population. This is a fact I can defend anywhere.

Close to 300 million in this tiny Nigeria. Just imagine over 30 million in Lagos. And you want normal people to reside there. Anyway.....happy Sunday to you all.

If you have benefitted from the recent clearing of the passport backlog please share your testimony, I believe those that benefitted are not ghosts or spirits so let's confirm tlwhat the Minister and Nigerian Immigration Service is saying.
Please don't talk about how you collected your passport months or years ago we are talking about those that benefitted from the recently cleared backlog.Does it mean getting passport is faster now?Please Nigerians let's share our stories.

He could have simply said removal of subsidy has stopped the smuggling of petrol which has helped Nigeria know the true amount it consumes and effectively put an end to excess consumption thereby saving the country money. He didn't have to go the emission route. It is well .

I applied for my International Passport online, my Judge gave me handwritten letter to give an officer there on a Friday.
I captured in the VIP office. Passport came out on Monday (2 days after). Na them call me say make I come carry am.

No stress at all.

You guys have made alot of attempts to put MLS under your control but you guys have not succeed and God will not allow you to succeed.
Alot of MLS in Nigeria are passing ASCPi certification exam in US and they are practicing in US as Medical Laboratory Scientist or Clinical Laboratory Scientist.
In UK, alot of MLS are there because they have being certified by HCPC. No exam is required because they know MLS standard in Nigeria is high.
Op, do your investigations before picking anyone. Don't allow one person to deceive you. Follow your passion.

Stop hyperventilating, Medical laboratory Science is a broader field and not just a department but a faculty and even a college of its own in many countries.

There are medical scientists trained as specialists in all those fields you've mentioned in both Nigeria and abroad.
They are in Immunology, parasitology, molecular pathology, Chem path, Virology, histopath, histochemistry, hematology, mycology, clinical embryology etc. Trainings are done even up to doctoral levels.

Google IBMS specialist training in the UK. Go to see Linkedin and see Nigeria-trained Clinical Scientists grabbing UK NHS medical laboratory jobs.

Nowhere will you be allowed to you touch medical samples for analysis if you are not medically trained to do so.
The days where every Tom, Dick and Harry can enter the lab and start releasing ridiculous, laughable and embarrasing results in the name of 'Medical Laboratory Scientist' are over.
