scribble:

Men routinely sign prenups. Jay and Beyonce make roughly about the same amount of money per year, and I'm sure their prenup is structured to protect both parties.
This was a South African movie you were watching right, so I'm pretty sure that the lawyer wasn't skilled enough to draft a thorough contract to protect his client, thus pursuing him to the psych ward.

Whatever the case may be you never need a prenup with a real woman, Nigerian or otherwise. Why anyone would date a golddigger is beyond me?!!! shocked shocked shocked
Can't u see through the greed and vomit?

hmmm!!!! true.

jennykadry: Seriously not again. undecided

Have you got kids? If none, keep It that way.

Can't you just ignore him and go about happy? Don't you have CD player at home to listen to some Adele even add pitbull join inside undecided go about happy, singing. If you know the time he comes home from work go out and come back home after 2 hours and when you come in just go about doing your business. Watch movies, Go out with responsible female friends, go visit an aunt and stay there all day.

You are giving him so much attention so retrace your footsteps. Some attention seeking men will get back to their senses when you take all the attention away from them When I say ignore I mean correct ignore. You need to be tough to tame that man. When two craziness jam, the lesser one will bow.

Abeg, where Do you people find these men? Which kain market man did you get married to? A man that bad mouths his wife. These are the kind of men that need ultimatums. You go out and tell people nasty things about me? Then you have no peaceful infact no home to come back to.

Seconded!!!!

sally bonne:

LMAO, I like ur comment but funny tho! seriously u are

Seriously though!!!! it is really annoying, the parents knew how so many babes will find it very easy to profess love to millionnaires, am i surprised? No!!! women love Money....(including me) but we have different ambitious spirits, some are really ambitious and can eliminate any obstacle, for them to reach their goals.

Now, the parents had the lady sign a prenup...and you decided to waste your money on her buying gifts, lands, and so on...because she has given you a piece of ...... and empty words of love. i do not like cheating anyone and defintely hate to be cheated.

Now, the deed has been done, the guy will die a pauper or he can put himself together and get his properties back.

The guy should be loving her from the psychiatric ward he is now!!! A foolish man will still remain a foolish man whether they sign a prenup or not. If he was my son (Godforbid), i would have disowned him and adopted that his wife as my daughter.

Rhino.5dm:
Yes. funny, she normally tell me to eliminate the monster I created on niaraland. There was a thread she read where I was intentionally and aggressively attacking a lady, she yelled "stop it! she won't know you are laughing at her. . .please don't make her sad"

There was a day she called me "rhino.5dm", after a minor argument. I begged her not to ever do that again.

she said no one is going to believe anything again, should they meet me in real life.

This is so funny.....

Wow!!!! had to read all the pages i missed.

I understand where Saga is coming from, and it is so sad that majority of UK-based Nigerians are that rude....i can't even fathom it. Well i thought to myself and came to the conclusions that it has to do with;

- Upbringing: parental control or lack of it thereof, anybody that would open their mouths and talk to their own parents anyhow, will do the same to an unknown stranger.

- Education: just because you go to school and study medicine and engineering and think you are a "wife material" and has refused to develop other qualities will have a "sham" of a marraige and we all know how such ends.

- Environment, Uk and Us have been giving different people visas ( i am not saying that everyone should not be given equal opportunities), but imagine people dfirectly from Mushin, Ajegunle, my home town (Irele) and other places that breed rude individuals (at least 60% of rude individuals), you will not expect anything less.

I have friends here, that on a normal day if it were to be in Naija, there was no-way, we would have met (that is not pride) is just that our environments do not mix, Now, i have different species of friends, i have this one in particular that everyone thinks i am crazy for being friends with her...we are parallel lines, she is the up- and-about kind of a chic, i am the cool-type (in my own way ), she is very vain and flashy, i am vain too (to an extent) and do not appear flashy...when we go out together, she is the first to be noticed, but i am the first to be asked out...and she is very-very rude, she really does not know how to address anybody, ( does she know she is that way? No!!! she feels she is conversing freely), i laugh and always tell her to tone it down. Our upbringing is so different, and that has shown in our different behaviours.

Parents should teach their children how to be respectful to everyone they come across with, that does not mean if a stranger that has just chatted with them for say, 30 mins, asked them to follow him or her, they would foolishly follow, it is all about common sense.

Family / Re: A Man Who Expects Good Food & Doesn't Drop Money by ronkebp(f): 6:08pm On Aug 09, 2012
Tgirl...unless you tell us the crux of the problem, in that marraige, we will all be saying different things. Is it that the woman complains that her hubby has been non-challant about providing for the home or what?? is he an irresponsible man, if he is, in what sense? Because sometimes, his behaviour might just be that he inferred from what ever "has been" from the beginning that the wife would be footing the bills for food.
Family / Re: A Man Who Expects Good Food & Doesn't Drop Money by ronkebp(f): 4:54pm On Aug 09, 2012
I think it depends on how the home had been run from the beginning...

- are there shared responsiblities? is the woman taking care of the kitchen while the man pays other bills in the home?

- is the man jobless ( has never worked, 'full house husband" or he just lost his job and the woman stepped into the situation to help out)?

- Is the woman a full house wife and has no income and solely depends on the husband?

- Is the man just not interested in footing the bill when he knows that his wife is N0 3 above?

@ Taitee, it happened to me like 3 months ago, for 6-8 weeks did not loose anything, so i guessed my body was used to my exercise routine and the way i ate, so i took it slow...and would not exercise some weeks and fall back into exercising, last week i was down 2 pounds may be because of the braids i loosed smiley but i never gained any weight, even the weeks i don't exercise, this week i want to just burn calories, and see what the scale says. So i will suggest you eat more calories, change your exercises around a little bit, shuffle things up and see what happens.

Efemena_xy:

Lucky you o!

Mine wasn't so much of a "trust" issue but was more of "setting a good example". I've lost count of how many times I heard this phrase from my dad: "You're the ambassador of the family..." especially when going back to uni after the holidays / ASUU strike / Industrial Training (IT) placement. My momsie's own favourite line to me was: "You know I have girls oh! People are watching us, so conduct yourself well..."

Kai! Being the first born didn't help matters much for me. I sincerely believe that couple made the rules along, as I grew up. grin grin My younger siblings had an easier time, as na me come be experiment. I nor even wan mention my brothers' freedom sef. Anyway, it's all good, nothing spoil as it's helped shaped me to be the person I am today. Understandably, they wanted to "get it right" with their first child smiley

I am also the first can remember those words too, they still ring a bell in my ears.smiley

My dear that was the the 'first and last" oooo, actually something happened next that i had to face DC(displinary committee) "my parents", we all call them that grin, because once you err and both of them have to sit and decide on you case na trouble.....

Had my crush, my squeeze, visit me one faithful day, usually my dad would always drop my younger bother and sister (6 and 3 years old then) from school at the gate and those ones would come up-stairs themselves. So that was what i thought would happen this faithful day grin cheesy, the guy had a wierd feeling inside of him because he wanted to leave ontime, i was the one asking him to stay and spend more time with me and the last girl (maama) was ill and home this beautiful day grin, my brother was the only one that went to school, maama was laying on the sofa, my boo and i were in the living room jisting and chatting away, then i had a knock, i asked who it was and my dad answered, i wanted to evaporate, i asked the guy to hide in our room (that my dad never enters my room). i was all jumpy and anxious for him to go back to work, he not only came in, decided to rest for awile..sad..then my youngest sister maama said "daddy, sistermi's friend is in her room"....daddy got up and said "ahh you did not want to even tell me you had a friend around" he stood up and went to the room and found a BOY!!!!, The guy was just prostrating and greeting him...my dad did not even answer, i was speechless and my dad left, by the time they (my dad and mum)got back from work, i was so ready to face DC...the rest na story....hmmmm my mouth no fit talk...grin grin (i knelt down for hours receiving lectures)....
