yeah, I think those who made 2.2, 3rd class and pass can defend their grades better than the 2.1s & 1st class. pls encourage younger people to work very hard and get the best they can lay their hands on and not beefing people who have performed better. The fact may be that for every 2.1 material who can't defend his grade, there are five 2.2 materials who don't know their left from their right. Don't blame employers, everyone wants the best.

Different coys offer different electric power services; some generate, some distribute etc. The old PHCN staff were disengaged but the new companies have to absord the old staff for smoother transition, I believe most of them may be dropped with time. But for now, they work for the new companies. But they are all on the edge, they know that the slightest mess-up from them will attract severe sanctions from their new employers.

boll2010 advised above, take heed. It's good you get your parents' blessings. Am sorry to advise that you didn't do well by telling the girl about your parents' opinion, you should have managed it without telling her. Trust me, women's thought pattern run wild. If you eventually get married, the girl will likely ever hate your parents and may even do the unthinkable.

I have someone whose father vehemently refused his marrying a girl (just because he's Mbaise and the girl is Owerri or so). The guy went and bribed his father's best friend (who has some influence over the man) just by buying the man some traditional outfits. When the man saw his father's reason was flimsy, he went and harrased his best friend and advised him to let the boy marry his choice, that whatever ill comes out of the r/ship the boy will bear alone. He went ahead and told the boy not to worry, that if his father doesn't come for the marriage, he'll stand in as the father. They are married today.

Guys don't like spending too much resources on such, save if they just want to hit n run. But the other ones are better behaved. Men look out for character first, they manage face more than that.
Also, the behaviour of the 'pretty' gals sometimes make the men believe they'll keep struggling to keep them even after marriage. Some guys specifically go for 'ugly' ones so nobody go follow dem drag their wife.
