I still believe we will come good this season. If we really look beyond the disapintment of losing, in this game we played a bit better when compared to the last two previous draws but were just a tad unlucky.

I don't think we played that badly on the night... the starting side looked "good" and the subs plus their timing wasn't all that bad - it was just a momentary slip in concentration and we lost it all. It was open and could have gone either way... unfortunately!

tosomaju: Due to the "No Penny, No pu$.$y" threat by the Girlfriend Association of Nigeria (GAN) which can lead to conjigation, BAN has unanimously ordered for UK used pu$.$y available at the nearest bruthel to u. There was a consension between BAN management and that of the bruthels not to inflate the price of their services so that the overall aim of the strike will be achieved.

Also, in view of the threats issued by GAN and to mitigate any potential backlash, the bill for importation of similar 'specs' of Caros, Adas, Ogbongidis and Skeles from neighbouring West African countries such as Ghana, Togo, Niger, Benin and Cameroon has been fast-tracked and passed to law in the house.
In this new development, a trade treaty has been made between BAN, FG and other Govts to ensure the 'free' passage of 'cargo' across the borders during this strike period. Immigration services have been duly alerted.

coded guy: I was only reminding Coogar that Wenger said the same thing. But let's put the statements into context taking the reputation of both clubs in recent years.

Clubs like cardiff have been taking a dump on Arsenal and it would be easier for Wenger to expect that hoping his recent club form will bail him out, but Man U only loses the likes of Cardiff ones in a while, but this year alone we have lost to WB, s'ton, cardiff that 3teams we shud be beating, lost to Liverpool and Man city already 5games which is what we sometimes lose a whole season to win the trophy.

I still insist, regardless of whatever form Cardiff is in, a club like Man shud be seeing it as easy pickings.

I missed the Man u vs Tot match.
I agree...

Lets also put it in this context... Moyes made his statement after , while Wenger made his before they played. So, drawing may never have been on his agenda from the get-go until very late on when he may have realised the game could not be won - just assuming anyway!
European Football (EPL, UEFA, La Liga)Re: Official Manchester United Fan Thread:''20 Times EPL Champion by RuuDie(m): 3:41pm On Dec 01, 2013
coogar: it wouldn't have been a bad result had moyes won the games against southampton, west brom & cardiff. that gap is what is holding us back & moyes must beat one of the big teams to compensate for the gap he's left playing mid-table teams.
True that... those are the 7-points that seperate us from the top now... UTD vs Arsenal, 1-on-1, I think we can beat 'em no matter how "badly" we play.
We just need to find a way to start averaging 3-5 goals per game and letting in less!
European Football (EPL, UEFA, La Liga)Re: Official Manchester United Fan Thread:''20 Times EPL Champion by RuuDie(m): 3:00pm On Dec 01, 2013
Not a bad result... good initial selection but not the really the right subs.

Valencia should really have gone off for Nani, he was really poor. We had far more joy down the right and the number of opportunities Valencia had to give a decent delivery and failed - Nani would have fared a tad better!

The lack of presence on the left further buttresses why Rooney should be out there - but he's scored 2 again - making it all the more harder a move to make.

David Moyes:

"The best is to come and I still think we can continue to improve and progress. We had some little bits of inconsistency at times, which we need to try to do better with, but there have been moments that have shown we are beginning to come right back into form. That is what I hope. Midweek certainly showed what we are capable of when we are playing well and the job is to do that week in, week out."
European Football (EPL, UEFA, La Liga)Re: Official Manchester United Fan Thread:''20 Times EPL Champion by RuuDie(m): 12:40pm On Dec 01, 2013
Decent line-up... strong enough to do the job. I particularly like the Jones - Cleverly bit enough youthful exuberance there (hopefully) to cover for the defence.

C'mon David Moyes' Red Army... they welcome us expecting to be beaten, do not disappoint them!

Or do you want to ban me here?

Another childish rant.
StarBoard: Beating Leverkusen and dropping points to Cardiff.
Where is the consistency?
Yet one head-boy wants me to be complimentary.
I'm not impressed.
The result came mostly as a result of playing Kagawa in the hole. Thay way we looked far sharper than we've been all season going forward.
Which is what some of us here have been advocating all season long.
It took so long for a manager to get it right and the resident Einstein wants me to give him credit.

I could swear it wasn't Moyes who picked that squad. grin
Like nitrogen said, let's see how our game vs Spurs pans out. Even if I was wrong about the result, it doesn't change my view on David Moyes.

nitrogen: Ruudie, dont be decieved! the 5:0 win over Leverkusen was just a fluke, don't forget that levekusen (even the whole burn-this-league-down) is shyte! watch out for our premier league game this weekend, after that game and some others (like five more games), we can come back here and talk, but for now, abegi!

Meanwhile I have always been saying this and I will continue to say it, 'fvck Moyes' angry
How very convenient - when UTD lose or draw, we (rather Moyes and a select set of players) are sh.y.te... when utd finally put up a decent showing, the other team is sh.y.te!

You came out here before the game to do a "TB Joshua" - raving hot and cold about "cluess managers" and how UTD getting "molested" like a "cele" pastor on heat - do yourself a favor and go back into your hiding place if you have nothing complimentary to say after you've had sh.y.te squashed all over your face!

StarBoard: It should be an ugly sight tonight in Leverkusen.
Einstein,
Stop making excuses for someone who we know isn't suited for this job.

Kindly tell us one positive his tenure has highlighted since he took over.
Beating Arsenal shouldn't count because we aren't Everton. Wait, we are starting to look like Everton.
StarBoard: We're gonna get molested on a high level. Not with bros Gollum insistent on fielding Giggs at every opportunity and wild Samoan Rooney on the loose, generally disrupting things for us.
StarBoard: LMAO.
Leave those muppets who believe AV is best.
they know nothing about tactics/formation. We're talking about advanced formations and palm-wine drinkards are here mentioning a limited Valencia.

For goodness sakes, this Gollum don tire me.
Now might not be a bad time to give Anderson some playing time. But He won't field him over Phil Jones if he's available.
StarBoard: I'm sure you're not just realising how inept the dude is.
But maybe you are prepared to give him benefit of doubt.
I saw Leverkusen in action last weekend vs Hertha Berlin.
Contrast what we saw on Sunday and we might not be looking forward to tonight.
Isaac Newton. Just a little under 10 pages and counting, not a single comment from you... are you in a coma still!!?

superstar1: What formation can actually accommodate Rvp Rooney and Kagawa, with Kagawa playing in the hole, his most natural position?

Less tinker with formations a little bit.
The most accomodating formation would be reckon is 4-2-3-1...
European Football (EPL, UEFA, La Liga)Re: Official Manchester United Fan Thread:''20 Times EPL Champion by RuuDie(m): 11:03am On Nov 28, 2013
Purist: Moyes:

"Sometimes Wayne might need to play up front and Shinji will play behind. We have to make sure we have alternatives if Wayne or Robin [van Persie] are injured. Shinji was excellent tonight but he's also good on the left."

I guess this means we'll keep seeing Kagawa on the left than in the hole. undecided
coogar: i have told you moyes' tongue is permanently buried up rooney's arsë. with tonight's performance, kagawa should forever be the man in the hole. rooney/RVP should fight for the arrowhead or rooney should go left.
I just feel Moyes is intentionally trying to take a "slow" approach so as not to cause discontent in the ranks - or fallout with the players like AVB at chelsea.
I see a trend:

- Make Rooney "happy" enough and focused more on football than position or competion with RvP so that when he finally starts to play him out of his favored position, there will be little or no trouble from the player himself.

- Give Shinji playing time so he doesn't hand in a request anytime soon. Balance Kagawa's playing time between left and centre-midfield; more on the left initially and then gradual transition to the "hole" - 15/20 mins in some games and then full 90 in some others like we've just seen.

- Similar scenerio too with Hernandez - give him just about enough playing time to keep him content
European Football (EPL, UEFA, La Liga)Re: Official Manchester United Fan Thread:''20 Times EPL Champion by RuuDie(m): 8:13am On Nov 28, 2013
There were several stand-out performances in Manchester United’s unusually comfortable hammering of Bayer Leverkusen.

Wayne Rooney with his trio of assists; Jonny Evans with his imperious defensive display and goal; the bounding wide duo of Antonio Valencia and Nani; the hitherto ostracised Shinji Kagawa, freed from the shackles of the left and allowed to roam in his preferred position.

It was an excellent team display, the best United have mustered under David Moyes, with much of the improvement down to a shift in formation resulting from Robin van Persie’s injury: Rooney adopted his central striker’s position, with Kagawa excelling behind and Nani relishing an opportunity that has been strangely absent this season.

But the most significant display was arguably that of Ryan Giggs.

While none of his actions were particularly eye-catching before that delightful assist for Nani’s goal, Giggs’ showing of energy, discipline and leadership was quite astounding for a man about to turn 40.

In two days’ time Giggs will be of an age when most outfield players are either long retired, or knocking about at a far lower level than Europe’s premier club competition; he will be of an age where most of us struggle to get up and down a five-a-side pitch let alone the sizeable BayArena.

The Welshman’s age is often raised when United’s more callow personnel come unstuck under pressure. His poise and calm is lacking among younger team-mates at key moments, a problem seen more frequently this season than in the Fergie era.

coded guy: I think Anderson is very fit and I was impressed with his cameo. I mean apart from the chance he missed he looked comfortable and mobile in that middle.

I hope Moyes gives him more chances.
My belief is, every player will get a chance to play a run of games - its a long season, injuries and fatigue will also definitely come into play and ensure that this happens.
