Yes. She's a fool. The other Doctors are not talking, but she was lending them her head for breaking coconuts.

Be patient. Save some money and invest. When your investment starts generating good income then, you can resign. Also, you can start searching for another job.
Don't care about your colleagues. You don't need their validations except if you are reporting to them. If your boss/direct supervisor is not complaining about your work, then you are good. Please, do self-evaluation and make sure you are giving your best.
Health › Re: Dr. Stella Emmanuel On COVID-19: 'With Hydroxychloroquine I Cured 350 Patients' by saajus:
Several clinical trials have been conducted on hydroxylchloroquine and it has a mixed result. People are dying of COVID-19 in Nigeria and we've been applying hydroxylchloroquine for the past couple of months. So, she might not be 100% correct.

I did a little background check on her now and discovered she's a very active Pastor. I guess she might be in the group of all these Conspiracy Theory Pastors. Most of those Pastors love Trump and her message could be politically motivated. Guys, remember we still dey settle Madasgacar COVID organics.

This is a common trend now and I'm not too fond of it. Go viral and receive help. Blessing, "nobesay I nogo pay", Govt fixed her. The Imo boy with Opera Voice, Govt fixed him. The Asthmatic LAWMA guy went viral, Govt/people fixed him. This method is not sustainable. There are millions of out of school children like Blessing that this one-by-one method may never reach till they die. Let's build systems and processes that will naturally fish out talents among us.

We can keep postponing the evil days as we like, the only thing that will fix this country is a revolution. I still don't understand how some people define life. What does a man need sef to live a good life? These guys have bought jets, yachts, houses in different parts of the world, luxury cars, but they are still not allowing us to breathe. What else do they want from life?

Many that believe in tribulation before rapture even thought the tribulations have started, so they are warning their members not to take COVID-19 vaccine.

Any little issue, we will roll out buses, we will roll out buses, we will roll out more buses. Haba, are these guys not thinking? Lagos population is 22 million, and it has a tiny land space. If you are rolling out more buses, you are causing more traffic, more accidents, more problems. Just finish the light rails and engage the water transportation more.
If a country can build a hospital in 10days, we can finish the light rails in 3 months if we are very serious. Finish the light rails and enforce one car per family per day during work days [mon-fri] using tracking technology. Lagos traffic will flow.

Roll out buses, as if those buses can fly.

Phones › Re: Here's Why You Can't Call Your Number From Your Phone by saajus:
Great explanation, but I just want to add my little telecom experience.

The word satellite used in the article was big, truly there are phones, like Thuraya that could make call through the Satellite but our daily day-to-day phones services (mtn, glo, etisalat) are connecting through cell towers (radios) which we popularly called mast in Nigeria. Mast is just the name of the pole that carries the cell tower. Those of us that grew up in the 90s know Satellite phone is for the big boys. Thank God for radio phones that breaks the barrier.

Your phone does not create/send a new signal when you attempt a call. Your phone is always transmitting signals (power), and the cell towers are continuously transmitting signals (power) too. As you are going around, there are information that your phone keeps sending to cell towers, and there are information that your cell towers keep sending to your phone. They always have to transmit signals because calls may want to come in at any time. That's why operators can make your phone battery last more or burn faster. They can set up sleeping time for your phone not to communicate at all. It will be in milliseconds so it won't have a significant impact on incoming calls, but sometimes if incoming calls jam the time your phone is sleeping, which rarely happen, you won't see the call, but it will be ringing at the other end.

I agree with your point that not be able to call yourself is more of an operator setting than the technology. Most operators can change the settings to whatever they like. In Nigeria, it will tell you busy, in some advanced countries, you will be sent to your voicemail box when you try to call yourself. Most GSM uses FDD, and in FDD, both uploading (talking) and downloading (receiving) can go pari pasu cos you created a different path (frequency allocation) for them.

Never be on a boat without a life jacket. Life jacket selling for just 5k Naira. Swimmers in that region of Nigeria always overrate themselves, and that's how they get into trouble. A guy once told me that nobody in his village could drown cos they have made a covenant with water gods. I laughed in Spanish that day. No matter how good you are in swimming, if your boat capsized and you are far from the shore, you won't make it. Max is 2km, fatigue will set in.

I understand better the word reenactment. I was wrong. I wasn't disputing the story. 100% real. What I was trying to correct is that the video attached was acting not the real 911 whereas the Op has already said that by writing "reenactment" at the top of the post. Reenactment means the acting out of a past event. I goofed up.
PoliteActivist:
See spoilsport. Abeg no spoil the tory. I know the Azubuike guy personally. We went to school together. Even this 911 call, his family has a copy. They play it every anniversary

The word reenactment is written above the videos. Do you know what it means? Both the first and second posts contain words that show that these are illsutrations for the topic under discussion!

Crime › Re: Nigerian Men Killing Their Wives In The United States. by saajus: 5:59pm On Jul 22, 2020
You should understand what I am saying. The caption "Nigerian man in Dallas who killed his wife called 911 to confess"and the 4 videos attached are not necessary. The rest of the story is true. The video is a skit but the way the story present it as if the skit was actually the real 911 call. Yes, the videos can be used for awareness but not to be presented like real.
naptu2:
IT IS NOT NEWS!!! Can't you understand?? This is a discussion topic, not a news item.
Crime › Re: Nigerian Men Killing Their Wives In The United States. by saajus: 5:40pm On Jul 22, 2020
Whether reenactment or not, fake news is fake news. In fact, nairaland should have removed the post since it was clarified that the 911 call was acting, The stories are not fake news but why attaching skit with real stories
naptu2:
This is not a news story! Or can't you see the word reenactment clearly written at the top of the post?? Don't you know what renactment means??

Regarding the second post, you can clearly see that the author wrote this.
Crime › Re: Nigerian Men Killing Their Wives In The United States. by saajus:
How many times will this be clarified? The actors in the video has been debunking this for almost 5 to 6 year now. The guy that acted this and his wife came out several times to tell people not use their videos to propagate fake news. The 911 call itself was acting. People are matching real life story with skit.
Phones › Re: Top 9 Signs Your Phone Is Being Monitored By Someone by saajus:
- People can monitor your phone through apps you installed intentionally or unintentionally. The first thing to do If you are suspecting anything is to reset/format your phone. If the android OS on your phone is the culprit, then reset/format won't stop anything

- Don't download apps from unknown sources. For android, use playstore. For iPhone, use Apple store. Apps downloaded from those stores have passed through scrutiny, and Google/Apple have checked for backdoors and continuously checking for it. A very few intelligent developers can beat Google and Apple scrutiny, but their apps will not last 30days before they are caught.

- If you've rooted your android phone, you are highly prone to many bad things. That's why Android phone manufacturers tell you that, if you root your phone, you've lost the warranty. Cos, they can't vouch for the source of custom android ROM you installed. In fact, the more significant percentage of custom Android ROM online are developed by hackers. If anyone installs such, those guys are collecting every information from the phone. Even, if you remove those hackers android ROM from your phone, it may not resolve the problem cos they develop it in a very sneaky way that their piece of code will always reside somewhere on your phone storage. You may have to abandon the phone or change the logic board to be completely free.

- If you are receiving unwanted messages, it could be from marketers using IMSI catcher. Not that someone is monitoring you. If I have IMSI catcher in my car and drive around, I can send messages to all phones existing everywhere I passed through. I don't need to know their numbers. People use that device for SMS marketing. IMSI catcher is a legal device.

- If you want to catch who is sniffing at you, you can collect your phone packets using some packet sniffer applications on your computer. Linux is best to do this. From those packets, you can collect all your destination IP's and several other Infos. Go online and check the details of those IP. Some sites online will reveal IP's location and who owns them. If you discovered the IP had been blacklisted or who owns them do not correlate with any app on your phone, someone maybe monitoring you.

Our people won't learn.

The easiest place on earth to sell fake investment program is Nigeria. It is because the majority of us are greedy. We are all searching for 100 fold blessing that we hear in church every Sunday.

The same youths that will tell you they don't have money for farm investment that may return 20-25% annually will quickly find money if an investment program promises 200% return monthly.
Family › Re: How Guys Use Marriage To Plunge Themselves Into Perpetual Poverty. by saajus: 12:05pm On Jul 21, 2020
Marriage is a beautiful thing, especially if you have a right partner but I think it's wickedness to bring children to this world that you can't take care of. What's the purpose of having children early and they all turn to cultist, Agbero, Awawa, etc.
Another problem is most people have too much kids. As bad as Nigeria his, if husband and wife has a combined household monthly income of 200k Naira, they can perfectly feed themselves with 2 kids. There won't be any flexing though.
