Great write up. School no be scam. The problem is with our education system. We do not give room for creativity from our primary schools to higher institutions. Don't be deceived, Richard Branson, Bill Gates, Lawrence Ellison, Mark Zuckerberg may not complete their degrees but the backbone of their companies innovations is research and development department which is filled with PhD's and Professors. Some are consultants to them. Also, there are some courses you can't teach yourself like Medicine, chemistry, etc. You can't be dissecting ppl in your house. You can't house cadaver in your room. You can't have access to buy some dangerous chemicals for research as individual. |
Professor, Doctorate and stuffs are now politics in Nigeria. If you know the right people, you will get those titles in no time in Nigeria. Professors with no impacting researches, are those ones professors. What they do now is copy and paste others researches. They copy word for word. Queenlovely: |
RIP |
Hmm , our future is not bright in this country. I'm really scared for our children. |
Wow. Tbh, we need to change in Nigeria. We have values issue. This started in the 80's and we just keep going down since then. I'll trust American Atheists or unbelievers more than many Nigerian GO's, prophets or Papas. Nobody can use collar or suit to swoop away my soup any longer. This article is not trying to say Zimbabweans are perfect but it's very very hard to find a few people you can trust in Nigeria. I still believe we need a mix of democracy and military to re-integrate values into our culture. |
I will move on sir. I just pray it doesn't end in tears like the past ones. hensil: |
It's not the same day a video is released that was shot. Editing takes some time. iyatrustee: |
Well deserved |
I thought COVID-19 is still very much around. Why are our leaders doing this |
If that God comes, you may not survive it too. By the way, God of old testament and new testament is the same. He has not changed or repented. It's our perspective of Him that is changing. It's a question I've researched for many years if it's the same character. You can research too. OyiOtukpo: |
Time will tell. I pray we are all alive. This is not the first time I've been warning Nigerians. Greed is killing our people. I trade forex myself and I understand risk management. A real institutional traders don't take stupid risk and promise return that is not realistic. I say it again, it will end in tears. Pierocash: |
When will my people learn. This return on investment is not realistic. |
Oga, I have also seen traders losing their whole account in one day. Money/risk management is very important in trading. Anyone that hits 10% daily is taking a huge risk. 95% of Nigerians can't be profitable in Forex because of greed. Pierocash: |
Why not take the risk by yourself. You are better off investing the money on business and fail than giving your money to money doubler. If you fail, you will learn some business skills along the line. I am not a Prophet but, MBA forex will run away someday just like their counterparts in the past. 180% is not very realistic. How are you sure they are into Forex. Who is regulating them? Nigerians want to make it overnight, that's why all these schemes are being successful here. 12 months maturity is a long time, so they have ample time to run away. Becareful. Bote3000: |
This is football. Dynasty come and go. |
As a Chelsea fan, I am no longer angry. |
Everything is not about money. These players already have enough that could settle them for life. Your career is not moving forward if you are being paid but not working. You are not learning new skills and will be stagnant. internationalman: |
It may look as if you've lost a lot of money, but it's not true. It's a learning curve. Keep acquiring knowledge at the cheapest rate you can find them, and make sure you are doing the right thing. FX trading: It's risky, uncertain, and not for the faint-hearted people. If you find a working strategy, you could recoup all the money that you lost. The reason why 95 - 98% of Nigerians can never make it from Fx is greed and impatience. Barely will you see any Nigerian that will accept 1% - 2% per month strategy, almost all of them want to double their account monthly. I understand their plights because most can't afford to start with huge capital. Someone with a $500k balance in his Fx account can easily settle for a 2% per month strategy, but someone who even borrowed the $200 in his account won't accept that. Our youths find it hard to study or research. I would rather use 2 or 3 yrs to research and know what I'm doing than rush into it and burn my fingers. Losses PTSD won't let you go back even if you eventually find a holy grail strategy For now, don't throw money at the problem. Do an honest assessment of yourself before you continue this journey. Start with things that don't require huge capital and scale-up. Things like AdSense, Admobs, products reselling (referral), excellent social media presence, etc. |
You people will never learn |
Motorcycles. This is sad. It may looks good at present but not progressive. We need leaders that can give their constituents: - robotic research centers - Deep learning/AI labs - programming schools. - Business hubs where youths can meet and discuss - Free Wi-fi in public places so that less priviledged youths could connect to the world - Libraries - public science labs |
My brother, I agree with the first and third building. I think the second building won't worth more than 50m. You know better sha cos I don't live in Owerri. 80 + 50 + 80 = 210m. The biz owner still makes some profits from AMCON. Let's assume the original loan is 350m, and 90m is interest accrued. The man may have used the 350m loan to make some profits but intentionally refuse to pay back. The biz owner knew the worst case scenerio is to seize those buildings while he has many hidden buildings elsewhere. These rich guys are playing games with our money. The rich are getting richer. obstead200: |
If there is no physical or emotional violence that could lead to death or mental issues, it may make sense. If the issues are just minor things that could be fixed, staying is a better option Many children from single parents are turning out great. So, leaving when the wahala is too much is not a bad idea too. |
Boss, I agree with you but competent valuation happens in sane countries. A lot of fraudulent activities going on in our banks. nativedoctor: |
Can they recoup the money with these three wretched-looking buildings in Owerri? Na poor people dey suffer for this country. Some officials in our banks will allow these wealthy biz owners to take Billions of Naira loan with collateral not worth 1/3 of the loan. AMCON na scam. |
Go and sin no more. Be careful cos you are destined for the top, and you don't need all these little distractions. |
This is sad. But, her mum's body language seems awkward. |
Life. What the FBI couldn't do, Coro did it. Unfortunately, humans are the most stubborn creature created by God. We will all be sobered for 2 or 3 days and later go back to our evil ways. |
Our churches have become comedy center |
I thought we'd passed that era of dollar washing. That's 80s/90s format. Well, greedy people will always fall for anything. |
ok o |
If we evaluate the economy properly, I think we lose more. The traffic cause more damage to the economy. Also, it's very rare not to hear of an accident. Unfortunately, RCCG leadership doesn't always share such information. We can share testimonies, but not bad news. It means we are telling a young believer that everything is always rosy in Christendom. I think that's a scam. As a Christian, I don't think it makes sense to gather multi-thousands or millions of people into one place. |
