Why are they harassing this poor man for fck sake? Why waste his time and public resources in harassing him?

No 1, I am sure a lot of the person Nigerians are praying for him because they love to pray for the people destroying their lives.

https://www.nairaland.com/1056780/nairaland-prayer-network-patience-jonathan

No 2, if he is caught and prosecuted, the worst that would happen is he would get a N1m fine placed on him by a Nigerian court and told to go home. Chicken change he made in half a day from interests he got from his loot.

Leave him alone. The person nation and the majority fucktards in it deserve such leaders.

ileobatojo: If valentines day is the equivalent of Ifa celebration day to you then by all means, blow up the school if you have to.

I bet if they had Greek mythology day, you would be the first one to dress up your kid as Zeus. Difference?
That does not answer my question.

Please do answer:

If the school decides to celebrate some Ifa/Sango day with chocolates wrapped as sacrificial concoctions, asking your kids to come into school with white wrapper and beads, would that also be a "ain't no thing to you" too?
FamilyRe: Schools Asking Kids To Wear Valentine Clothes: Is It Necesarry? by Sagamite(m): 11:31am On Feb 17, 2013
ileobatojo: I agree with you that once they are in school there really is no credible reason for valentine day celebration, when one really thinks about it. I really appreciated the fact that the day wasn't even acknowledged in my kid's school. Would I withdraw him from his excellent school though, if it were? I'm not sure about that.
I would withdraw my kid. That is playstation day for the child(ren).

I would also vituperate the fucktards that put me in that position to do such and deduct the fee for that day from the school fees.

I would cause wahala. If we have to go to court, we will go to court.

ileobatojo: As for amusing the toddlers and preschoolers, ain't no thing to me. They amuse themselves on Easter, Halloween, Christmas, st Patrick's day e.t.c. I see no need to quit my job and become a stay at home mom just so my 2 yr old doesn't get candy and make a card for mommy and daddy on Val's day.

Nigeria does not deserve such development.

The fucktards keep praying for their leaders that like to go abroad to enjoy such development which they cannot provide for the people. So that means majority of the population is happy the way this are, so no big deal.

PoliticsRe: Nigeria’s Population To Hit 170 Million This Year by Sagamite(m): 11:19am On Feb 17, 2013
KnowAll: Nigeria's population reaches 170 million this year, yet the "magnet city of Lagos's" population remains at 9 million, i guess the upsurge in our population is more evident in "Boharamic prone Kano City", "Jigawa State" and Proobably d Islamic city of execellence "Sokoto". huh
A quick look at population distribution dynamics of countries with concentrated development (i.e. urbanisation) shows that the largest cities/metropolitan centre tend to host 6 to 10% of overall population.

The region/state/province/district/county that this metropolitan city is in tend to host about 20 to 25% of overall population.

Based on this evidence, and the fact Nigeria has severe concentration of development, the core of Lagos (Ikeja, Yaba, Oshodi, Agege, Ojo, Shomolu, Surulere etc, not the outskirts), should be hosting at least 9.6m of Nigeria's 160m population.

And Lagos State should be hosting at least 32m of Nigeria's 160m population.

Considering Lagos state is a small strip of land relative to the region/state/province/district/county that hosts the metropolitan city of other countries, I can concede to reduce the 32m figure.

Lagos State's population cannot be anything less than 16m (half of 32m) in my view. It is anywhere between 16m to 25m.

FamilyRe: Schools Asking Kids To Wear Valentine Clothes: Is It Necesarry? by Sagamite(m):
ileobatojo: +1. I agree. While it is different than we are used to as Nigerians you also need to remember it is not being presented as a romantic thing to these young children. It's just about sharing with your friends. They start exchanging candy on valentines even in the toddler rooms in daycares. I don't see a reason why they should dress special for valentines day, the passing out candy is enough (I find it annoying because I don't like giving kids candy) but I don't think it's teaching kids to be promiscuous. These people just like finding any reason to amuse themselves. My kids school did not dress special. They did not even have the candy exchange. Woohoo!!
It is still wholly irresponsible even if they were merely passing candy and akara about.

The fact they select that day to pass it around is irresponsible.

In society, it is a date for amorosity and such acts imprints that date in the memory of the kids. Soon when they grow up a bit more (just short of hitting pubescence) they would quickly realise what the date really is about, it is not about candy. And it is something they have been encouraged and trained to participate in at any age.

DON'T AMUSE MY KIDS THAT WAY! There are a fcking billion of other ways to amuse them.

Trust me, if I send my child to a school and they come home to say their teachers instructed them to wear red and whatever to school on valentine's day, I REPEAT TRUST ME, I would inform my office I am coming in late, go to that school and I would HEAVILY AND INTENSELY VITUPERATE the teachers. WITHOUT A SHADOW OF A DOUBT! You might not know this but I really know how to call people fucktards, cretins and mooorons.

Then I would go in and do it again on the next PTA day. That is the end of any civility between me and the authorities in that school.

I am not the type to blame "the school/system", I would specifically name names and vituperate them individually. The name of the person that had the idea. The name of the person that had the audacity to want to get my kid to participate in such.

jidegirl12: You mean the mom screaming at her son for doing whatever? I know.
Fact that I mentioned 'smacking' in my post doesn't mean I didn't get the context grin
Just find it offensive screaming instead of talking to a child with expression.
Sometimes screaming might be expedient and just the apt tool.

It is not everytime you use it but it is not a crime to use it, it will not kill the child or damage the child.

Funky people tend to throw a lot of guttural "facts" cheesy which have little-to-no basis and which really does not stand up to easy tests.

There will be times I will shout on my kids. There will be times I will sit down and use persuasion based on my assessment of need and effect.

For someone to tell me I need to be funky and only talk all the time is what I find a joke. I am not funky. Mo funky rara.

Not really.

Especially as the kids hit pubescence and considering an overly zealous, jobsworth, but-yet-powerful social services.

FamilyRe: Best Way To Correct Children by Sagamite(m):
debosky: The best way is the way which is most effective in producing the desired effect. That will depend on your own orientation/temperament, your child's temperament, age, upbringing and social environment, and other external factors.

I don't accept the odds of corporal punishment being superior to other methods - without controlling for the above factors - social environment, temperament, parenting skill, etc. There is little weight that can be placed against such a simplistic conclusion of one versus the other.

Many of those blithely saying 'the white people' don't even have any firsthand experience of how 'the white people' raise their kids and vice versa.

Even with all the 'kind' raising of kids, there are still more hooligans in Lagos than in most major 'white people' cities. Go figure. grin
Make I correct your perception.

What I said was:

Having the option of corporal punishment, being able to employ it and employing it at times generates superior outcomes on average than an approach that never sees corporal punishment as an option.

Not:

Using corporal punishment generates superior outcomes to no corporal punishment.

The hooligans in lagos are largely because of economic disadvantage, lack of local provisions of policing and reliable judicial systems.

If you are not monitored and made aware of consequences, you will behave as you wish.

If you cannot rely on the system (police and courts) to actively, fairly and efficiently handle your heated grievances with another person, you will handle it yourself ................with your fists especially where there is no consequence for doing such.

FamilyRe: Best Way To Correct Children by Sagamite(m):
JallowBah: MY linking between domestic violence and africance came because of the "this is white peoples way".
The most violent people I know, the most aggressive ones, have all been beaten by one or both of their parents. That is how they know to handle disputes and confrontations.
That is wrong again.

The most violent and aggressive people you know (I can assume) are people from a disadvantaged economic background.

I have been privileged to live in both a country with a smacking culture (Nigeria) and a country with no smacking culture (UK). There are tons of people I grew up with in Nigeria of my generation that took a good smack, a level of smack peeps like you today will call abuse (but which it is not to us), and nowhere near significant porportion of us are violent. I for one have never hit anybody first in my life. NEVER! But if someone hits me, I am the opposite of Jesus, I don't turn the other chic, I break the head. You might call that violence, I call it justice. I handle my disputes and confrontations by stating my mind vocally and that was how it was in my boarding school in Nigeria. Physical confrontation in that boarding environment was no worse than it is in the UK where they have no smacking. At least, unlike the UK, we never stab each other to death or slap/insult our parents.

JallowBah: And science show the same: if you were beaten much as a kid, there is a much bigger chance that you will beat when issues come up later in life, be it your friends, spouse, kids..and how would you do if your kid got in big problems at school for beating other kids? "You do not beat, only I beat!" ?
Which science?

deols: So much for a 'harmless' comment, but who knows undecided

speaking of ignorance, I actually don't see d poster as such. You could in Fact be called the ignorant one. There are two many ways to look at anything. Just like illiteracy could be defined as a metonymy so can it have a literal definition. A scientific approach/definition/view to something or a religious one to it. Your lack of understanding/ knowledge of faith-based interpretations to this, could be termed ignorant and you could by metonymy be another illiterate.

But just to have a different view to it, you may want to add your 'literate' view to the topic- A 3 yr old Nigerian Girl memorizes the Qur'an
Why don't you demonstrate your fine knowledge and show me in what 'sensible way' his comment can be looked at that does not make it illiterate.

Please take the pleasure, the fine, lovely, beautiful pleasure of showing me that I am ignorant.

I wait for this miracle.

okunoba: The culture of violence continues, so sad to hear so many of our people especially those living in western Countries where good parents normally communicate with their kids by talking and the bad ones use violent. Those raised with violence end up being violent, so its no surprise Nigeria is such a violent society, everywhere you turn violence dey plenty.

If beating kids was what makes people turn good as adults, then we Nigerians should be the most law abiding people in the World, but we all know that in fact its the opposite, a lawless one. We don`t think we just follow what our parents thought us even if its poo, the same reason most of us are religious freaks. Poo passed on from one generation to another, when will Africans wake up and join civilization. In Scandinavia they don`t beat kids yet they are better behaved and more law abiding than us.,Nigerians.
As usual, the moronic rants.

So how come South Korea, Japan, Botswana and Singapore are not violent societies and have law abiding citizens despite the fact they use "violence" (person word alert) on their kids?
