Happy Sunday All,

I plan going for medicals this week in portharcourt but I can't find the hospital on CIC website. In fact, nothing is showing on the drop down where you select the country. I wanted to get their number and call them before going.

Please has anyone done medicals in portharcourt? What is their procedure and what should we go with? Please help

Nobody hate him.

That was the mistake the other idiots supporting Jonathan made too. We love Jonathan but we hate his cluelessness.

We love Buhari but we hate is 'dullardry' and incompetence.
What we dnt like is his performance

When you employ some one and he is not performing , u simply sack him no need hating.

We will keep trying until we get it right. It is obvious Tinubu and his crew cant get us there using Lagos as their work experience. Bubu has failed all tests

We will keep trying and never give up.

Your curse is also not necessary. I pray u get well soon.
Thank you. Nigeria will never get better because 99% of Nigerians have taken side. This means that we will never be on the same page to demand good governance and make it a standard. To be fair to buhari supporters, it was exactly the same thing GEJ supporters did last administration.

But what amazes me is how people love politicians they have never met or don't know personally to the extent of defending their nonsense at all times. If the likes of Adeshina, Tinubu, Lai, and all those his henchmen defend him, I will understand at least they know the president and the President knows them personally too.

But for 99% of nairalanders who defend the president with their lives but the president doesn't know they exist, they are the real losers not Lai, Garba and co.
If the opposition takes over tomorrow, today's zombies will become the good guys and making sense while today's good guys will turn to zombies for their politicians supporting rubbish and the cycle continues .

Anyway for me, I have given up on the country, anyhow it wants to be let it be.

Crowd is no big deal in Nigeria, everybody can pull crowd if they want to. It is just about mobilizing them. The same crowd You See here will also be the ones to come out if other politician comes. A gainfully employed person will not leave his job to be fooling themselves in the crowd even if they support the politician.

I don't think you understood my question.
If CIC ask for tax clearance and the person does not have either because their employers don't remit the deducted tax or they don't even pay maybe because they are not captured in the system, how would they go about it?

Seniors in the house, Abeg make una no vex for this my question

What if someone works in a small company where employees don't pay tax or where they employers deduct their tax without remitting it to the govt and as a result they can't get any tax certificate. If CIC requests for it, how would they go about it since they do not have any to show?

Kindly explain the attached. I won't go the lane of writing negative words, I know your type
What of Yemen? Are your Saudi and Iranian brothers not turning it into a wasteland? Why are you not concerned about Yemen? Is it because there is no America to blame there? Why is Saudi backing the rebels in Syria? Because the rebels are Sunnis right?
Bros, America has its own dubious agenda we all know but the greater evil is from the Arab world. If God wants to punish, he will first punish the Arab world with Saudi and Iran getting 70% of the punishment while America, Russia and the west take 30% of the punishment.
But if you guys like keep shouting America up and down and not channel the blame to where it should be. Maybe America is the one killing people in the Northeast also. The question you should ask yourself is why is Islam the only religion in this world that America can use for their dubious agenda

Now, that you are trying to be civil, let me educate you. Tunisians wanted to change their government and did so without a war. So, how do you compare peaceful change to an attempt at violent regime change? You only do so if you are inept as you have proven with your post.

#Congratulations
What of Yemen where Saudi Arabia and Iranian is fighting there proxy war without the west? Since there is no America to blame for the atrocities in Yemen, you guys have turned a blind eye. For your information, what is happening in Yemen is worst than Syria. You guys should keep on blaming America and never take responsibility for ya choices.

TRV is probably an easier/faster option.
With Supervisa, your MIL will need to do medicals and you will also need to get medical insurance, which will cost you a few hundred dollars.

One advantage of the Supervisa over the TRV is that your MIL can stay for up to 2 years without having to renew her stay, unlike 6 months with the TRV. The Supervisa is typically valid for up to 10 years or until the passport expires; most Nigerian passports have a validity of 5 years...so the max validity of the Supervisa will be 5 years. With TRV, it is really up to the Visa Officer. She could be giver a 2 weeks Visa or a 2 years Visa....so you might end up renewing it a couple of times. However, one thing is for sure...as far as you/she meets the requirements and there is no misrepresentation, she will be issued the visa (TRV or Supervisa)
I need some clarifications. My mum was issued TRV for 1 yr 6 months cos her passport validity ends in that period. Does it mean that she would have to be coming back to Nigeria every 6 months to go back again?

Yeah, my bad. I might have clicked on a different category. But anyway, my question remains: When do you pay which fee and when? It's got me a bit confused. Kindly help clarify
You are ahead of me in the process. However, there are 2 fees that would be paid by each adult, the processing fee and the RPRF fee. You can choose to pay the RPRF later when they request but you must pay processing fee before you submit. If you choose to pay both at the same time, you will be paying 1040CAD

Yeah, it's gone up by a few dollars. I guess they keep adjusting it upwards just like the POF
I just checked their site, the fees has not changed. I think you should check the options you selected.

In line with this question, what's the most approporiate time to pay these fees listed below. I seem to be confused about which applies where:

Your fees
We recommend you pay the right of permanent residence fee ($490) now to avoid delays. You will have to pay it before you become a permanent resident.

Fees $CAN USD
Your application

Processing fee ($1050) and right of permanent residence fee ($490)

1,540 N/A
I thought processing fees + RPRF = 1040 CAD for each adult. Has the fees changed?

Buying now is OK cause after the easter period we would be getting set for the summer season which is like the peak season in aviation calender

If you travelling through united states with an airline domiciled in the United states you won't be needing a transit visa, but any other airline, you would be needing a transit visa.

Your Canadian visa is inconsequential in this case
I don't understand what you mean in the second paragraph. Could you give examples?
ProgrammingRe: What's The Easy Way To Learn Programming? by Saintp(m): 5:10pm On Feb 23, 2018
yorex2011:
Hello sasquareT,

As a newbie Video tutorials aren't a had Idea, I have a ton of them as well as books. Try to experiment with both to see which suits you.

For a beginner, I'd suggest you learn Web Development first as its not as difficult to get into as others and you can start getting paid jobs in no time (if you are creative and work hard).

Programming is mostly problem solving and algorithm.

You need to start thinking like a problem solver. Synthax is pretty much useless without problem solving skills.

So with all that said, I'd suggest you start with the following.

Html
Css
Javascript

This is your starter pack for web development and pretty much your foundations.

If i have time, I can create a thread for you separately so that I can guide you on how to learn and learn well.

I'd suggest 10hrs html(with bootstrap) , 10hrs CSS, 20 hrs Javascript

After these first 40hrs, we will then decide which backend stack you will like to learn. As well as a database technology

The popular ones are Php, Ruby, Node and Python.

I'm a Php person so I'd naturally tell you to learn php lol.

But by the time you get to this point, you should be comfortable knowing how to learn a new language.

I'd suggest 100hrs on whichever stack you chose as there are a lot of things to be learnt.

During your 100hrs of backend we will also mix in about 10 hours of MySql

When we are done, you'd then learn a framework to help make your development faster,

For Php I'd suggest laravel and for python I'd suggest django.

There is meteorjs, sailsjs etc for node too and rails for ruby

I'd suggest at least 75 hours here too as you will be introduced to a lot of new concepts.

At this point, you should be Comfortable enough to build your own web sites and web applications.

Its now time to start applying for jobs or mini contracts.

When you are comfortable making web applications, we can then revisit your frontend (Javascript) and learn a framework for it (either React, Angular or Vue) as they are the most popular. Learning these will give your skillset a great boost and you'd be able to apply for more jobs or build more sophisticated applications.

React is especially good because of their React Native Platform which can help you build stunning mobile applications.

While doing everything above, it is imperative you read articles, look at other people's codes, and keep up to date with technologies. These can be especially helpful in job interviews.

At some point you will want to pick Java, Python, C, C++ or C#. The key here is not about knowing how to code in 2000 languages but knowing how to think like a software engineer to solve problems in the best way possible, you should be able to pick up syntax easily.

Whatever you chose to do here is entirely up to you, there are a ton of cool stuff to learn. Artificial Intelligence, Machine Learning, Natural Language Processing,

I wish you all the best in your journey to Mastery.

REMEMBER, ANYTHING CAN BE EASY, YOU JUST NEED TO FOCUS AND MASTER THE ART OF LEARNING.
Is it compulsory that every programmer must start with web development technologies? I mean HTML, CSS, Javascript. what if the person interest is in desktop, mobile applications etc, can't he go into things like Java,,, C# etc without the HTML stuff? please clarify

I thank God that I was still able to maintain my sanity, and also thank HIM for giving me more reasons to continue to absolutely depend on Him,no matter the situation.
Thank you all for your encouragement and the togetherness on this platform.
I know that greater challenges lie ahead in Canada and elsewhere. Surely, surely, I KNOW that He will see all of us through to that glorious desired end.
I want to specially thank you wonderful guys on the London Visa Office WhatsApp groups (general and July groups). You're all so lovely!
For those still waiting, don't worry, just hang in there and try as much as possible to make the waiting period count. You can enrol in the pre- arrival services by IOM or engage in some of the free and very useful certification courses.
Just make the time count!
Congratulations on your PPR.
What do you think that makes them issue ADR for updated POF? Is it because the POF was not complete or was there something unusual? Please if you have any idea, tell us so that we can be better prepared.

The only leaders who succeed in bringing positive change to the people are leaders who have integrity unfortunately there seem to be no Nigerian leader that has integrity.

I can bet my ass that Osibanjo thinks differently and would not say what he said in his private moments but because he has to be loyal to his boss, he has to tell lies.

A man of integrity will rather resign than cover up evil. I expect Osibanjo as a pastor to quit and free his conscience if the seat is too hot for him instead of aiding evil because of a temporary position. If Osibanjo was a private individual and his people are in IDP camp, will he say this trash?
