Aig84: Hello @Saintp and @mosbiod I don't know if you're from the study thread but I do not think it matters if your account has held 100million before, the rule of thumb here is if there is a huge lodgement into your account then you should state its source. The source could be from a business deal (which of course you'd show documents to prove this), gift (Gift deed) etc. You must show the source of that huge lodgement else it will be assumed you're using the lodgement just for pof, remember the catch here is to convince the vo that the money is wholly available to you.
So I personally will not advice you submit your SOA without proper explanation on the source of the lodgement.
Please wait for the seniors to weigh in on this. I am actually not going to get any unusual huge lodgement, it is still the same 2m, 3m my account has been receiving before now. However what worries me is that is that the funds have not stayed steadily in the account for 6 months. |

Please seniors in the house, look into this my issue.
In my own case, POF is 6m but I have never had 6m sitting in my account over 6 months. However, my account transactions credit and debit has hit over 35m over the last 5 months but As I write my balance is about 950k.
By virtue of my business, I don't keep money rather I put money in a lot of business ventures to make more money. I have 950k now but if I want to submit by the end of the week, I can recall some of my funds to make up the 6m balance I need to show
My question is
Looking at my situation, I will have the money whenever I want it but I don't have it stored up for 6 months even though my account statement shows I have received about 6times the POF over a 6 months period. is this a problem?
Plz I need help on this issue. |

I got my PCC Friday and I'm surprised to find out its just valid for 3 months. I thought it was 6 months. If I submit the application say 2 months after, it means it will expire during the processing except PPR comes in less than a month.
Have I made mistake getting this early or should I have waited and a day or two before submission to get it? |

Oladimejyy: His education is very,i mean absolutely fast How can a 10 year old be in SS1. Anyway, I am not surprised, most Nigerians think that by pushing and rushing their children to finish secondary school at 13 and have them graduate from Uni at 17/18, they are doing the child any good but unfortunately they are killing the child. Education, psychological development and age work hand in hand. It is wrong for a 10 year old to be in SS1 in the first place because he has not develop mentally to be in that class. What you people see today is because he has not followed the right developmental steps, he was just rushed and he has become an adult by force. In the developed world, elementary school start at 5/6yrs,oyibos are not stupid to rush children like we do here. Please where is the address, the mother and whoever is taking care of this child need to be arrested for Child Abuse, the boy should be taken to a proper correction facility else you people will be into a bigger problem in future. |

Mimee803: The real question is why where the cases ever closed? These cases will linger till the next 15 years. It is in the interest of the presidency to keep it perpetually open so as to use it for blackmailing the people. These cases are coming up 3 yrs after because another election is coming and some people need to be put in çheck. Corruption will only be fought when EFCC becomes truly independent and stop being used by politicians but unfortunately it's not possible in this part of the world. |

AdeyinkaSeun: Typical Nigerian way. This thread is about living in Australia. I have given my honest opinion about life in Melbourne as a black person. Why don’t you respect it? All you said are the negatives and I am sure there are positives. Next time present both sides so that people will know what they will gain and lose at the same time. |
Travel › Re: Living In Australia/life As An Australian Immigrant by Saintp(m): 9:57pm On Feb 02, 2018 |
AdeyinkaSeun: This is just my honest opinion. You can decide to take it or leave it. I know there are people who love it the way it is but before you crucify me, remember I’m only voicing out my experience of living in Australia for the last 13 months. Melbourne is nothing but a huge disappointment. Run down houses and streets everywhere. The culture of keeping a well kept garden is non existent. An array of ugly old bungalow interspersed with one storied semi modern houses. The cbd looks second world, the suburbs are nothing but disappointing.!
Crime is on the increase. I was personally a victim of crime twice within 6 months of arrival. When we arrived we lodged at a bnb, in preparation for moving to the house we rented, we bought a lot of household things, vacuum cleaner, plates, towels etc. When we got home that day, we were tired to pack them out of the car so we left them in the boot of the car. In the morning, everything had disappeared from the boot. Last week Sunday in church, car was parked outside the church premises. We came out to find the car door open. Apparently, someone had tried to open the door to steal something from the car. The alarm was activated when I switched on the ignition.
Electricity also went off on two occasions. We slept without light on one of those days.
Racial prejudices is high here compared to most countries I have been to. A day hardly passes without racial issues been mentioned in the news. Racial tension everywhere. They still stare at black people as if one is from the moon. This is not so in the whitest of Europe. My kid is enrolled in a school where he’s the only black kid. We make a scene each time I drop him of or pick him up. The Sudanese community isn’t making matters easy. Even though there are criminal elements amongst them, the media over reports and sensationalize crimes committed by black people. This does not help Africans as everyone is viewed as criminals and racially profiled. Let me give you two instances: I went to buy a loaf of bread one night at around 19:00 at a filling station. The attendant refused to open the door. He only opened it when another white customer guy joined me there.
Quality of life isn’t fantastic as reported in the media. Internet is as slow as snail. Australia has the slowest internet amongst the first world countries. Malls close at 5:00pm. Limited consumer choice. I couldn’t get blue shoe spray polish to buy anywhere! Most people are renting. Buying a house will take forever as the cost of deposit is often unaffordable for most people. Most people I have met live in shared apartments. It’s really disturbing to find people, (I mean Australians); who have been working for 15 years in Australia living in shared apartments. They cannot afford to rent a whole house talk less of buying one. Most livable city in the world? That’s laughable
I don’t want to talk about getting your first job. It’s a huge challenge.
The whole skilled immigration is a huge revenue generating business for the Australian government. You won’t realize this until you get here. The beautiful index and statistics issued by world organizations are oftentimes manipulated to their economic benefits. It is a smokescreen that keeps their tourism industry alive. These are countries that understand the importance of PR. They say beautiful things about their countries and encourage people to come and stay by reeling out doctored stats and enhanced images of their countries. It is no secret that immigration business in the so called first world countries is a multi billion dollar industry.
To all those who are planning to come here, if you have the money, do an LSD trip first and then decide if you want to stay.
Cheers guys! I expect that you should have bought your one way return ticket back to Nigeria. Hope you have done that else don't disturb our ears. |

frenzyduchess: The only solution I see is for southerners to go into cattle ranching, simple That would likely be worse. If the South become self sufficient in the cattle production, they would have crippled the business of the Fulani's and they would not accept it without a fight. You would have given them the reason to go into full fledged terrorism. Remember that these people are naturally "born to kill" |

McTobe: some people on this forum shaa, did you guys care to reason that the soldiers might be for the security of Gboko people considering that those fulani herdsmen will want to plan reprisal attack on Tiv people sooner or later. i think Gboko people stand to benefit more. now you guys are heating up everywhere with sentiments. You may be right but I also do not blame people who have different opinion about it. Have you forgotten that last year in plateau state when soldiers were deployed after something like this, the people taught the soldiers came to protect them only for the soldiers to disappear and the Fulani's came to butcher them. The survivors narrated the story and it made front page. Unfortunately PMB has allowed his tribalism to get hold of him. If he had spread the leadership of the nation's security apparatus among different regions, maybe there would have been greater control of things. What do you expect from the security apparatus where all branches are held by one region from Army, police, DSS, NIA just name it. These guys are likely to protect their brothers cos of sentiments. |

Why do we like making simple things complex in this country? The solution is simple. Ban open grazing nationwide, let cattle owners buy lands and ranch thier cows as done in other parts of the world. If they still want to do open grazing, they can restrict thier grazing to the NE and NW.
Why is it so difficult to ban open grazing sef? Is FG saying they wouldn't have banned open grazing if it was Yoruba herdsmen, Igbo herdsmen, Ijaw herdsmen etc causing havoc in Katsina and Kano? Let us remember that cattle business is a multi-million naira private business |

ASEC: Happy sunday e-fam. I need your responses please. Very unhappy at the moment. Before I got to know about this informative thread on the canadian immigration program, I engaged a law firm (paid heavily for this). After I got my ITA (CRS 452), they demanded for an outrageous sum again. I then terminated the contract. I claimed the 15points CRS for sibling cos my husband's younger sister resides in Canada. Now, looking through what they filled, I found out that they claimed that I have a sibling in Canada and not my husband. My question is this: should I decline the ITA and make amends, or continue with process and write an LOE. HELP ME WITH YOUR RESPONSES, IT WILL GO A LONG WAY. The highest point you can get even with 1000 siblings in Canada is 15 points. If you don't have a sibling there but your spouse has, it is still 15 points. So if you ask me, you can replace what the filled with your spouse sibling and explain the mistake with LOE since it doesn't affect your point. This is my opinion but let's wait for seniors to put their mouth. |

Relatives in Canada You, or if it applies, your spouse or common-law partner, have a relative:
living in Canada 18 years or older and a Canadian citizen or permanent resident This relative must be a:
parent grandparent child grandchild child of a parent (sibling) child of a grandparent (aunt or uncle) grandchild of a parent (niece or nephew) I think this is for the 67/100 aspect but CRS proper is just brother or sister to get the 15 points. confirm it |
