emelueobi: Thanks ma'am. The entire transaction was on Friday morning. So considering interbank plus weekend factors, I'll just chill out on calling till Monday passes and there is no update.
I had similar encounter with BC. My husband and I paid via bank transfer, and we waited for confirmatory email instead we got an email that our test date that was reserved have been cancelled. I called British Council customer care line countless times, the lines were not going through, we even sent emails and we received an automatic response (no reply message) that I should wait for 7 working days, I wasn't satisfy with that response I tracked them on Facebook, and finally got a reply from a staff who told me to wait for some days, and gave me another email to send my complaints to, but it was of no much help. Luckily for me , a friend had similar problem, I had to counsel her to go to their office in portharcourt (I couldn't do that because of my work), I gave her all our details and it was sorted out immediately. I will suggest u wait for 72 hours and if u don't get a reply from them go to their office or beg someone to do that for you. I think at the end of the day, it is just better to do a bank draft and go to their office if convenient instead of doing bank transfer. |

You don't know PMB and other top players in the political game, these guys don't know your name neither do they know you exist. Yet, you spend so much energy defending their actions as if you know what is on their mind or they have discussed the issues with you, to the extent of insulting people with a different opinion. Why are people this stupid? |

Oluwadare: Mine question is, why is it always difficult for Nigeria presidents to reshuffle or change their appointees? Even when it's glaring to their eyes and everyone that certain members are not performing. Why? It is because their appointees get to know too much of the fraud going on in the system. The fear is that if they let them go, they may turn born again and start singing which will implicate the president. |
Politics › Re: $26 Billion Scandal: Kachikwu’s Camp Hits Baru With Six Posers by Saintp(m): 11:05am On Oct 11, 2017 |
EruditorII: PMB is slow to act. He did not jump on the SGFs case any quicker and generally his greatest goofs have always been in trusting people around him who are not trustworthy.
Personally, I believe if Ibe Kachikwu had the slightest suspicion that PMB was backing Baru he would have quit. Him writing his memo to PMB to me was a sign that he felt the people surrounding PMB are the ones backing Baru. And this can easily be proved by the fact that despite writing that letter on the 30th of August, PMB did not act on it until the letter was leaked more than a month after.
If PMB had seen the letter he would simply have told Kachikwu that he was aware of the goings-on and Kachikwu would have either resigned or kept mum. Neither happened so it is fair to conclude that PMB had no idea.
Not every letter written gets to the president and not everyone can gain access to him if they are not in the "good books" of his team. That is why, even President Buhari's wife - Aisha - had claimed that there was a cabal running the govt at the abscence of her husband. Do you realize that Kachukwu is a deputy to PMB as minister of petroleum and as such should be having close interactions with PMB at all times even more than Baru? If PMB does not know then it is safe to say he has no business being president because it means that his appointees can sell off Nigeria one day and he won't be aware. We did not entrust the running of the country to a cabal but to him so your excuse does not hold water. |
Politics › Re: $26 Billion Scandal: Kachikwu’s Camp Hits Baru With Six Posers by Saintp(m): 9:41am On Oct 11, 2017 |
EruditorII: I am not doubting he had some authority or backing but I doubt it came from PMB himself. Maybe PMBs team A.K.A Cabal but from PMB? It does not sit well with me.
There is an article that said Baru tried to seek Yemi Osinbajo's approval for those NNPC reappointments and the VP told him to go back to Kachikwu to get his input and backing. Baru did not do it. So I don't doubt your argument at all - it just makes me cringe to think PMB would mess up this bad. If PMB is not aware of this bullshit, then what is Baru still doing in NNPC? You guys should stop making excuses for PMB, it portrays him as very weak or clueless. |

There are possibly more that will shock us. I know if he resigns on his own they will witch hunt him and fight him dirty. However, I think for his own integrity, he no longer has any business with this administration except he wants to be a coward. They have already showed him that he is not important in the sector. |

EruditorII: If Kachikwu was sure the president was backing Baru he would have resigned. You are dealing with a supremely intelligent man with a lot of pride.
The reality is PMB was not in the know. In fact, that is the first illegal thing Baru did. I don't think so. There is nobody on earth that would behave like Baru without having the support of a higher authority. |

Why can't Kachukwu just resign instead of fighting a lost battle? Without being told, he should know Baru did not act alone, the president is backing Baru. He should know they are just using him to give this administration some legitimacy. |
Politics › Re: Make Fridays Work-free, Allow Hijabs – Muslims List 6 Restructuring Demands by Saintp(m): 5:40pm On Oct 09, 2017 |
I have always said it here that as the restructuring talk gathers momentum there will always be plans to ensure it does not happen so that the status quo will be maintained. The essence of this muric talk is not necessarily to achieve these demands but to stop the restructuring idea and maintain status quo.
See guys, religion is more important for the average Muslim than ethnicity. So don't be surprised that a Muslim in the SW will take side with the northern Muslims when it comes to that.
However, this shouldn't be a problem. Let's restructure so that some regions will do what they like. There is no big deal if Friday is a work free day in the north while Sunday is a working day after all the Muslims are majority there. If any Christian does not like it, they can relocate to a Christian region.
However all these should be part of the total restructuring package which include resource control, devolution of power, regional/state police etc. So when every region controls their resources, they can now make hijab the dress code for everyone in their region and if you don't like it, you get out. |

Gtbank naira mastercard limit was recently increased to 1000USD. You can call their contact line btw 5.30pm to 9pm nigerian time to verify directly from ICES.
2. Yes you can send transcript without ref no. But if u have the ref no before processing ur transcript u can as well include that.
3. Documents are required to be sent via email. Only ur institution should send transcript directly via email or courier. I sent mine via email as stated on their website.
Regards. If institution sends the transcript by courier, how will one know ICES has received the transcript? Will ICES send an acknowledgement mail to that effect? If yes, how long does it take? Thanks. |

I have always said that this restructuring talk will end up in press statements. It will never happen because the north does not want it.
For it to happen, pressure must be applied to force the government to act and that will mean forming pressure groups. But then any attempt to do that will lead to "operation rat jump".
The north owns this country and whatever the want is what will happen, others can make noise from now till when they are tired. |

Butterworth: Thats how sane society functions, try to replicate such in Nigeria, the FG will send armoured cars, tanks and sodiers to shoot civilians.
Kurdish people were able to achieve this because they have autonomous regional government in Iraq.
Thats why sane minds should support a restructured Nigrria along regional lines where each region will develop at their own pace and also decide whether to remain in Nigeria or opt out completely through a Referendum as done by the Kurdish people of Iraq. This is why the north will never support restructuring. A Nigeria restructured along regional lines will make things like referendum and secession possible. All these military brouhaha against IPOB today is just aimed at shutting down restructuring idea that is gaining traction so that the status quo will be maintained. |
