flyuche:There is nothing wrong for a Christian learning Arabic if they desire. However I will not blame those who are suspicions of this whole arrangement. Like I said earlier, it is better to be put as a stand alone elective subject so that it will not be indirectly imposed on students due to lack of French. |
abdulkayus:People who need the Arabic language are Muslims normally and the good thing is that they know where to learn it. They have so many Islamic schools where Muslims are taught Arabic so why bring it into the school curriculum? what will happen is the Christians particularly in the north will have no option than to go for Arabic since there may not be French teachers and this is the aim. Trust Nigerians to indirectly impose it on students. The best thing they should have done if they desperately need to add Arabic is to leave it as an elective stand alone subject do that people can freely choose Arabic if they desire and not because they don't have access to French. What if I don't like both French and Arabic? This govt has been accused of an islamization agenda and the best thing they can do is to avoid bringing up things that look suspicious except they allegation is true. Arabic is taught in Islamic schools so why not leave it at that. |
Too much eye service in the country. |
How many more people must die before this type of grazing is banned all over Nigeria? |
free2ryhme:Bros forget that thing. If you are not smart, these politicians will use ya head drink garri. Saraki has been pardoned by the powers that be in preparation for 2019. They have reached a compromise and that was why saraki was left off the hook in the first place. This recent move of the FG is just a show to Nigerians to make it look like they are not happy with the judgement. Bros, nothing is happening to Saraki, they have already agreed on it. |
We loose 140 billion weekly and Nigeria is still this shit? Bros Dangote I don believe u joor. |
The president lost the anti corruption war when it became a political corruption war. If he fought it genuinely, he would have made head way. |
GAZZUZZ:Oga Gazzuzz My AC is misbehaving. The compressor is erratic. When you switch on the AC, 50% of the time the compressor will not come on. So sometimes you have to keep doing on and off till you get lucky and the compressor comes on. When the compressor comes on, it will work fine except that it may cut off at some point and start blowing just fan. You will then have to do on and off continuously again till you get lucky for the compressor to come on and the cycle continues like that. I have taken to a technician but apart from topping the gas and testing for leakage, he does not know what else to do because it works fine if you get lucky on a normal day. Do you have an idea on what the problem could be? The car is Nissan Sentra 2005 |
Can the press stop giving this idiot attention. What should we do with all these stupid stories? They should better not turn this idiot to a celeb cos criminals can be celebs in Nigeria. |
Churchill married Tonto to get to the limelight and become a celeb. He had the money so he needed a celeb to enter the news. He has achieved his aim by marrying Tonto at least he is now a celeb, many people now know him. He can now dump her. Don't be surprised that he will reconcile with Bimbo at some point. The guy is just playing games. |
Wagasigiungu:Did you see the word "may" before u started running your mouth? |
To be a Nigerian is not an easy thing. This is hell on earth. |
Can a white man ever come to Nigeria for a lavish wedding? When will Africans free themselves from mental colonization? or is it still the fault of the white man? Anyway congrats to them. Thier money, thier life. |
The world is now a global village and whatever product you produce locally should compare and compete with foreign made ones in cost and quality. What they should be concerned about is how to make thier rice cheaper and better than imported ones. Imagine if they produce the same quality of rice like imported ones and it's available and cheaper, who would be stupid to import and run a loss? Cost and availability remain the key to ending importation naturally. It is the same reason America still import most goods from China. |
seunmsg:As a liberal minded person, I do not see anything wrong with your initial post. However, Nairaland is now a breeding ground of tribalists and there is suspicions everywhere. Besides, judging from your Past posts on this platform, I also do not blame those who suspect you of tribalism. Since we have sunk so low as a people to point missiles at each other, it is important to weigh your comments in a tribalistic edged filled country. Your intentions this time may be genuine but you spoilt it by not congratulating the woman first before bringing in another person into the equation. |
Are u guys saying that no one will prosecuted for this economic crime against the nation? |
Gathering of thieves 90% of Nigerians are bad people. It doesn't matter the political party, tribe, religion, age etc, the result will remain the same. Every country has bad eggs but the difference is that their bad eggs are in the minority. but in naija, the bad eggs are in the super super majority, that means the probability of electing good leaders is far too low. In keneking's voice "Amazing gathering" |
How many more people will the Fulani herdsmen kill before open grazing is banned? If these were Yoruba, Igbo or any other ethnic group herdsmen committing these murders back to back, will the FG keep quiet and turn a blind eye? |
If an Igbo man is president, he will still say the same thing Osibanjo said. The problem with Nigeria is that our political class from all regions are just too greedy and self centered. The political class knows the truth but they keep playing to the gallery to protect their own personal interest. But I think the biggest fools and losers are Nigerians who support and defend these politicians. At the end of the day, none of these politicians have your interest and that of the larger society at heart. While other world leaders are thinking and working to leave a better society for thier future unborn children, ours here do not care what future our next generation will inherit If we can't solve these lingering problems now, the next generation of Nigerians should better no be born because they are going to be in a worse shit. |
How many more people must die before PMB and his govt go after this herdsmen? |
In Nigeria once you align and stay in the camp of the power brokers, you can be as corrupt as you can and nothing will happen. The only way you can be prosecuted for corruption is if you are an outsider to the power brokers. I'm surprised the OP is taken this issue serious. This is a normal thing in this country or did you just return from Manchester? |
GEJ is a waste but PMB is now even total waste of time. |
of what use? |
Pavore9:It is just the Igbos and yorubas that are messing up this place. The hausas don't have the time for nonsense they do here. |
Light, light, light The president that would give us 24/7 non interrupted power supply like it obtains in serious countries will gain my loyalty forever. But can it happen in our lifetime? |
Jabioro:This guys think we are fools. Which politician will approach the military? PMB is still president and the northerners own the military so whose interest are they now going to fight for? Make no mistake, the military will only strike if PMB does not make it and power does not go back to the north. Don't be fooled, these guys that are shouting are they ones hatching this plan B. |
When Fayose joins APC next year, you all eat your vomit and start praising him. |
Burutai himself is the first suspect. I don't trust him. |
Good step. Also add school in Nigeria, hospital in Nigeria and vacation in Nigeria. |
obicentlis:EFCC will not look his way because they don't see him as a threat to the FG. He is just hiding in the senate, have you even heard him talk? But the moment he starts making noise or criticising the FG and start becoming a threat, they will remember his case immediately. This is kind of criminal that should be in jail but he is smart to lay low. EFCC is still chasing the corrupt ones who are disturbing the FG. |
Adebowale89:You are getting wrong. There is no stability in the currency market yet. The risk is still much high. Do you want traders to crash thier prices and then dollar rises high tomorrow, how would they make up for it? Until there is stability in the currency market, there wouldn't be much change in the prices of goods in the market. This is also true for the wider economy. The economy will never grow when there is instability in the polity and economy because no investor will want to invest where the risk is high. Therefore, the first thing for any serious govt is to stabilize the polity and economy to give confidence to investors to come in. |
