Hello guys,

How long does it take to get a Uk visa in reality? Please what should i do? Cost will be sponsored by my company.

FamilyRe: Your Sincere Opinion To A Sister Please!- Do you think I can get married again? by Saintp(m): 2:48pm On Jul 05, 2013
@Op,

Having read ur story i feel very sad for your situation. from ur story i see u as a good girl and for ur marriage to ur husband to work that means God has a purpose for it.
You see, life is not a bed of roses. It is full of ups and downs. The truth is dat everybody at one point or the other will have his/her own share of life problems. It could be poverty, health issues , misfortunes, spiritual etc so its nt a big deal to have problems. Dont blame urself as if u made a mistake. Do u know wot would have happened to u if u married someone else?
While i dont condone how he hid his problem, it take guts to reveal such especially in society of ours. he knows by revealing it 2 any girl before marriage, he may likely remain single for life as no Nigerian girl will ever love him to dat extent. So u see, he may have tot dat way hoping that luck will happen. However, its wrong.

If u ask me, i'll say try adoption. There is notin wrong with it. Having ur own children is best but it is nt the end of life. Do u know dat some people have died because of thier bad children? Do u know dat some people have children that are useless to them? Do u know that some people have lost all thier children in one day and cant have another due to age? That is life for u.

The ways of God are nt our ways, he works in a mysterious way. Imagine someone is born and being thrown into a bush by her own mother while an innocent woman is looking for a child.

Dont end ur marriage cos of this. Adopt a child, love him/her and give him/her life and God will bless u for it. Also remember it is nt easy on ur husband too. He is very down even if he dosent show it and wouldnt have wished for this. please forgive him. You people can live a happy life again even with an adopted child and who knows? God might see ur heart and reverse his situation.

Christianity EtcRe: Deeper Life Suspends Kumuyi’s Son, Daughter-in-law by Saintp(m): 9:20am On Jul 03, 2013
I dont really understand the brouhaha generated by this issue. i dont really like the extreme conservative views of the church, however, it is thier doctrine and all members must abide by it.

If you are not comfortable with their doctrine, why not leave the church. Some have left.
Remember this is a sensitive issue. it involves the son of Kumuyi himself. if he does not act, tongues will start wagging favouratism so he has to act inorder to save the church and i respect him for that.

While i feel they go to far, its still better than some very liberal pentecostal christains who have turned dressing into being naked all in the name of fashion.

Car TalkRe: Oil Shortage On 99 Camry by Saintp(op): 2:49pm On Jun 24, 2013
Siena: For starters, your oil changes are way too frequent. Full service every 12 months / 12,000 miles with an oil change / inspection every 6 months is the norm.

You're just burning money changing your oil and filter 6 times anually.

20W-50 oil is heavy for your year of Camry. It's designed for the older, high-mileage engine. You really need to be running semi-synthetic at the very least. 10W-40 comes to mind here.
Are you saying the oil i use is the problem and it will be fine if i change it?

I use Total 20W50 engine oil,my current mileage is 120k miles and i change my oil every 8 weeks with oil filter replaced every change.
Car TalkOil Shortage On 99 Camry by Saintp(op): 6:46pm On Jun 23, 2013
My 99 (I4) camry shorts engine oil every month. I have to top the oil with 1 litre in between oil change which comes up evry two months. I have been toping oil for sometime now.

However, the most worrying aspect is that each time i drive long distance journey i notice that the oil goes low immediately i come back even if the level is full before i embark on the journey.

please wot is the cause of this and should i do?

Thanks.

Thank you very much Toshmann for ur response to Betathings.

@ Bethathings,

Go and ask aethesists wot d tink abt islam, come back and tell us. You see, no amount of ur propanganda to rope christians into terrorism will work. It is clear for all to see.

Go to the middle east it is sunni vs shia, bombing, bombing and bombing.

Until you guys stop dis terrorism and export peace to the world, then expect islam to be synonymus with terrorism.
Once you people do it, everybody will shut up for good.

IslamRe: Bible-burning Egyptian Cleric Jailed For 11 Years by Saintp(m): 11:44am On Jun 18, 2013
This is trash as far as i'm concerned. Until we see religion as between you and God, we wont make headway. i'm sure more people will be burning bibles even if it means going to jail just to prove a point.

Free the man joor. Anyone who wants to burn the bible should burn as long as he didnt collect another person's own.he can go to the market, buy one and burn it. Let God fight for himself and punish him accordingly.

I know the muslim world want to show us the respect other people's religion but this is trash. Its nt my business if a bible is burnt or nt, i know christians dont give a damn.

IslamRe: Why Do Non-Muslim Terrorists Get Little Press Coverage? by Saintp(m): 10:12am On Jun 13, 2013
My problem with islam is not jus the terror the offer the world but with theses so called moderates trying to justify the actions of islamic terrorist by joining christians into it.

They try to merge terrorism with criminality. Guys, it is not the same. While christians might have more criminals than muslims, it dosent justify religious terrorism.

Criminals kill people not due to an ideology bt due to politics, power, money and material things. This islamic terrorist are not motivated by these things, they jus kill. Imagine boko haram refusing amnesty that would have given them raw cash that will tell u they r jus interested in blood.

If someone can blow himself inorder to kill more people, then there is no need talking further.

My candid advice to muslims is that you should stop being on the defensive rather try and sanitize ur religion. With these, we wont be hearing boko haram, jambs and thier sucide bombing etc. Then nobody will have mouth to talk trash against islam.
Thanks.

PoliticsRe: Protest At US Embassy For Visa-Ban On Diezani, Adoke, Orubebe by Saintp(m): 9:19am On May 17, 2013
The major problem of Nigeria is not leadership but followership. If the followers are agressive in thier desire to hold thier leaders accountable, i bet u Nigeria would not have been like this. But what do you get? Divisions, divisions and divisions.

When can we unite to fight this common monster called corruption? Someone has decided to lead the way in this fight instead of using it as a platform to increse the pressure for accountabilty, we are busy fighting the person. Are u interested in the messege or the messenger?

I dont like this guy as a person and i believe he is also corrupt but that is not the issue here. If he leads this fight and reduce corruption, will it not be better for us?

There is no country that is free from corruption, the problem with Nigeria is ours have assumed a level that is so frightening and we should be fighting to bring it to a manageable level.
Please lets support whoever that is speaking against corruption, whoever it is.

What is wrong with Black Africans? Why cant we for once elect our leaders without ethnicity, religion, tribal sentiments etc? You come to national politics,it is abt tribe, u come to state politics, it still the same, u come to local govt election, the same thing. Na waa oooo.

Mind you, it happens everywhere in Black African nations, kenya, Ghana etc.

Reading comments here, i laff cos it shows that even if Nigeria breaks up, this problem of tribe will continue among states and even communities.

Please guys, let the best man lead whether ijaw , itekiri, anioma, etc.

CareerRe: Diamond Bank Or University Of South Florida by Saintp(m): 3:26pm On Apr 29, 2013
@OP,
There are no 100% guarantees of anything in this life. That is a simple truth. Life itself is a risk. Bear it in mind that what ever the decision you take is a risk.

I have read on a national daily by a human resource specialist that masters without a relevant work experience is not advisable. According to her, getting a masters immediately after ur degree amounts to piling up degrees with no real substance. Her advice is that after first degree, get a job, gain experience and after 3 yrs pursue ur masters on that career path you have worked. To her, you will not be doing a paper masters, u will be doing a masters with a real life application and adding value. Employers of labour rush these kind of people she said.

Now, note they key word there is relevant experience. If you are going to the bank to do marketing then zoom for your masters. The risk is worth it. But if you are going to do some finance or accounting job,i think its better you work for now and do it later.

All options are all risky. Infact, i have seen people who left immediately for their masters even without a day experience and still landed mouth watering jobs after. I have also seen some who came back with thier foreign degrees and are now jumping from one test hall to another getting frustarted along the line.

Also note that age is a factor. Most guys who went that route finished masters before 28 and were still in line for entry level jobs with masters as an advantage over others.

Just follow your heart, there is no guarantee for success or failure.

Oohrhii: There is no way she wont bleed.

Infact for her to be a virgin till she married means she is older and therefore should be tougher to dv. She is supposed to feel some pains atleast.

This is why i would never ever ever in my life marry without testing. If a lady can't buy common cloth in a boutique without testing..why should i put my life in something i dont knw.

@Op you friend fell a Maga.. instead of insisting on seeing what you want to buy..E go buy bad market. cheesy now the consequences would be far reaching than if he had just tested. Even if he divorces, he is now a divorcee and that's a stigma on its own.

Me, i said it already in a thread..I will never in my life do no testing.. Infact I Hate virgins.. undecided that's my biggest turn off..you tell me you are a virgin..mehn am bouncing..Olorun a sho e. Its a lose-lose situation.

Foreign AffairsRe: North Korea To Launch MISSILE Today!! by Saintp(m): 4:23pm On Apr 10, 2013
Wot i see is envy on the part of North Korea. They just want war because they want to destroy South Korea. What has NK achieved since after the korean war? While the south has moved on and created a democratic prosperous nation, they are there building nuclear weapons. They have nothing to offer to the world unlike south korea and that is the problem "ENVY".

South Korea will be the biggest lossers of this war, Seoul is jus going to be destroyed. While they have the ability to recover, it will set them back by years. This is NK target.NK has notin to loose, they are already down.

Soutk Korea/US should be smart. Never engage them in this war. instead let them play the weak one and save thier nation.
Foreign AffairsRe: North-Korea Prepares Rockets To Target USA by Saintp(m): 12:55pm On Apr 02, 2013
@ Linearity,

That was a good piece. I laugh when people over hype china beacuse of thier anti- american sentiments. The fact remains that China is a rising power and will one day become a superpower like the US all things being equal.

However, i dont see the US going down. What will happen is likely emergence of another superpower(China) to rival the US. Until then the US remains the sole super power.

Like i have said before, all countries of the world look after thier own selfish interests,Russia and China inclusive. They are all selfish. The reason why u are bashing the US is because of thier status as super power. They are no different from other countires. If Nigeria is to be the US, they will behave the same way.
Please let stop making some countries look like saints, they are all selfish.
Foreign AffairsRe: North-Korea Prepares Rockets To Target USA by Saintp(m): 11:48pm On Mar 29, 2013
Some coments i see here make me laff. Let me tell u guys. There will neva be a WW3. US,China,Russia ,Europe etc are smart guys and will neva push things to world war 3.

NK is on its own. China and russia will neva stake her new found prosperity to be involved militarily against the US cos of NK. The highest they can do is to sell weapons and preach restraint from the sidelines as they always do.

For anti-Americans, u might be right in ur grievances with the US bt remember US is a super power and as such will be a force of both good and evil. Any country dat finds herself in US position will behave d same if not worse. We have seen USSR bully etc. We have seen how China is nw flexing muscles in the south China sea intimidating and claiming islands from philipines, vietnam, japan etc. Remember they were nt doing this before bt they are now doing it , why? Cos they are nw a super power in dat region.

I dont like US excesses, however its nt all bad as the US has also in one way or the other contributed for the good of humanity. However, super power comes with arrogance, wait till China becomes the sole super power, we can now compare.

But i dont see US going down, wot i see is a multi polar world being formed with US and other axis of powers. So all ya dooms day predictors of the US, its nt goin to happen.

PoliticsRe: State Pardon For VIP Ex-convicts - A Worthy Step Or Not? by Saintp(m): 10:39am On Mar 13, 2013
Sincere 9gerian: Mischievous moderators at work again. How many threads about state pardon will make front page? At the last count, about three threads, have made front page on three consecutive days. How many more do we expect?
Smh!

Personally, I dont like the decision to pardon certain political actors, but those who took the decision have their reasons.

The Council of State consists of the president, vice president, senate president, speaker of the house of reps, all the former president/head of state, past chief justices of the federation, the 36 state governors (including ACN, APGA and CPC governors). If certain persons were not satisfied with the decisions by the Council of State, they could atleast have staged a walk out or did something to register their dis-satisfaction.

But if all of them emerged from the meeting smiling, it is safe to assume they deliberated on all the issues and took the RIGHT decisions.

It smacks of mischief and opportunitics politicking to reduce a body as large as the Council of State to one man- the president.

Anyway, I will not dissipate time and energy discussing intangible issues such as granting of state pardon. For me, the pertinent issues are tangible things that impact on my life and the life of other Nigerians. Things like stable power, infrastructures, job creation, etc
Bros, for once try and strongly condemn obvious flaws from this goverernment. There is nothing wrong in liking someone or a government but the measure of character of a man is the ability for him to stand up and condemn what is wrong irrespective of who is involved. Your posts all have a familiar direction n i think its makes no sense reading through it anymore cos we already know what your stand will be.
