If these candidates were serious, then they would have to start their opposition/campaign earlier than one year before the general elections.
That has always been the challenge of PDP in Lagos State. The election cannot be won without investing time in it. |

Christane: Gomez ??...he his from Mexico or Colombia ...how cum d name gomez Some Lagosians, especially from the Badagry area, have ancestors who were ex-slaves from the Americas. When those ancestors returned, they retained their new surnames. Some examples include those families with surnames like: Pedro, da Silva, Crowther, Haastrup etc. |

Theflint1: Chief, thanks very much for the prompt reply, I'm inclined to go all the way . Which did you go with yourself?
Also, how about my second question, which of the degrees will be used to access my application, my MSc or BSc degree? Or will it be a combination of both? I’m going for MS Information Systems at Drexel. Both my Bsc and mba were requested. It depends also. If the school doesn’t ask for your masters, don’t indicate. The Bsc is the most important for any admission decisions. I think it should be enough. |

Onlinebar: Please do you have more info about the pre-admission program or will it be done in the US after securing the admission? Additionally and more commonly - those preliminary courses do not count towards one’s program credits, but they must pass everything to either take the main modules or graduate. |

Onlinebar: Please do you have more info about the pre-admission program or will it be done in the US after securing the admission? Some schools allow you to do it online in your home country, while others let you attend the courses physically, but give a condition that you must pass those preliminary courses in order to progress/graduate. |

Waskylala: Am not too sure about the other courses you wrote but for Data science which is my area currently. One must have a good Mathematics and Statistics background. But with help of tools like Tableau, mysql, etc, it can be more fun not forgetting programming languages like python, R Yes I’m sure about them. Those without a CSC background can cope. It just depends on their motivation and pre-program preparation. |

Theflint1: Hello house, I have a BS and MS in Microbiology but looking to make a switch into tech and migrate in the process. An MSc in Computer Science or any other IT field will help in this regard. Which do I apply with, my MS or the BS degree I had previously? I understand most schools require last 60 credits and the MS degree program wasn't up to 60 credits. Hello, I was a Marketing Major, then I did an MBA, but decided it was time to get into IT. Some of the best IT programs for those without an undergrad background are: - Information Systems - Management Information Systems - Information Technology - Data Science - Business Analytics Computer Science might be a bit too theoretical and advanced at the graduate level esp for those without a prior experience in that discipline. Nevertheless, it is possible to go all the way with Computer Science, if you have the patience of spending one year in the pre-admission program (where you gather credits in core CSC modules like Data Structures and Algorithms, Operating Systems, Programming Languages, All kinds of Maths and Stats lol - to meet up future admission requirements) |

mojolajesu: Hi guys I got denied today.
Here is the transcript
Bald VO in Lagos Embassy. Windows 1
VO: Goodday Me: Goodday VO: which school are you going to Me: Worcester Polytechnic Institute VO: To study what Me: Information Technology VO: Why this school and not other schools Me: WPI has a robust curriculum in Information Technology. They have incorporated it into Their Business School which was what attracted me to them. VO:Who is Paying for your school Me: I got a partial scholarship and an education loan which will cover my tuition VO: Who gave you the loan Me:MPOWER. MPOWER is a financial company that helps international students achieve their study dreams in the US using their student Loans VO: do you have a brother or sister schooling abroad? Me: No sir VO: How will MPOWER track you in paying once you come back to Nigeria Me: I will tell you about the payment plan then about the tracking (VO cuts in) VO: I know about the payment plan but how will they track you when you are back ME: based on the documentation I have filled and signed, the information there would be used. VO: What does your father do Me: He is a retired civil servant but owns his on Medical Laboratory VO: and you mum Me: She is also retired and own her own business VO: sorry you are not qualified……
I think he has an issue with me paying back upon coming back to Nigeria.
I am planning to re-apply. Do you guys think I can still get a surge date?
Also, who has any information about the loan questions Nice attempt, I guess. It’s sad you were denied. However, in the next interview, you could “throw more light” on the curriculum at WPI, mention some professors and maybe some of the fanciest modules in that program, and what they will help you achieve career-wise. In my opinion, you could have avoided mentioning that your parents were retirees. Although, I do not know if there’s a way you can retell this part in the next interview. |

A couple of guys asked questions about the Duolingo Test.
1. For the faulty hardware: your camera or microphone might have not been functioning properly. You probably want to do a mock speaking test and video interview (or test these hardware on another app - say Zoom or Skype for example) before commencing any actual test. If this keeps happening in the actual test, then you could contact their customer service and explain what happened.
2. For the ID requirement: unfortunately, your national ID card will not be accepted. It has to be your traveling passport. The Duolingo test upholds similar identification standards with Toefl and IELTS. |

Svelte98: Hmmm...I got about 4% scholarship which is really small obviously. I'd probably send an inquiry. Man! That’s not sizeable, but at all at all….. I am also waiting for Towson University’s decision. I applied for the MS Applied Information Technology (Software Engineering track). However, in my opinion, one may benefit immensely from Drexel’s co-op program in the fifth and sixth quarters of the program. |

TWoods: That's silly. I'm a believer... I however do not recognize the Nigerian form of religiosity that is simply for show. It's the type of religiosity that sees fraudulent Nigerian politicians given the chief seats in the pews of your churches, where your "pastors" are multi-billionaires in a nation where >80% struggle to feed. The type of religiosity that sees Nigeria house the largest church on earth, while most live in abject squalor. The type of religiosity that thinks those who obtain a visa are "blessed" by God, ignoring the millions who will never earn enough to be able to afford a cab to the US embassy. What "god" do you think they pray to? Or did John 3:16 only include those who are lucky enough to lie their way into obtaining a US visa?
The fake religiosity is nauseating. You are a hypocrite - like the Pharisees who were mentioned in the Bible. Who told you that you are better than other Christians? |
