Kingisibor:You assume I am a female and even equated me with your mum and female siblings? Interesting. |
Fahdiga1:Some of you are not just raised right. A married woman swallowing the bullshit of the man she is legally married to is the person you refer to as a pained bitch? |
Her type of person is so rare! They are both still legally married, not divorced but Ighalo have been frolicking and sleeping around like the typical Niger Deltan man that he is. Most Nigerian men in Europe and the Western world don't even do a fraction of this before seeing their life and hard work snatched from them. Emmanuel Eboue didn't do up to this before he was relegated to being a destitute. Sonia holds the ace here and it isn't because she wants to capitalize on the situation but clearly out of love. She deserves better than a man who can't keep his third legs in between. I just pray Ighalo won't resolve to crowdfunding and require the Edo State/Federal Government assistance at some point in his life because it is fast looking like it with the look of things. |
ScammerUkpayaho:I don't want to blame you because I'm sure you dealt with him in good faith. However, the red flag was there already and it was the fact that you sent money to another account, which isn't that of the person you're dealing with. I ran a quick check and realised he has another moniker which is JeffSiberstein. Indeed, he runs a WhatsApp Live TV. Kindly go ahead and publish all the details you have on him instantly, including that of the live-in girlfriend. |
Kobojunkie:I take it you have a full understanding of what 2 Corinthians 6:14 is all about? Not trying to paint a religion as bad but we clearly don't serve the same God, hold the same belief on worship and love. There is a reason Roman Pagan worship crept into the early church. |
alizma:At the emboldened, like seriously? ![]() |
DaddyRochie1642:They had a relationship way back and wanted to rekindle recently after her divorce. That is the only "dirt" Yomi Fabiyi has on Princess and why he keeps jumping around like a Silverback Gorilla. |
Lately, I have been reading how these guys have been sending damaging messages to borrowers' family members, bosses and colleagues, both here on Nairaland and on Twitter. A fellow created a thread saying he wanted to commit suicide as he had borrowed from various loan sharks and have accrued about N700k in interest and principal. Unsolicited text messages keep dropping on my phone about how a contact is a "wanted criminal" and has "disappeared" with their "company money". If you value your financial health, avoid them, not just because of the embarrassments and approach with which they adopt in recovering their monies but because of the addiction that comes with it. |
There's always a pattern; when the country is in disarray or when youths just round off a protest, the government will wake up to formulate one senseless giveaway and ask Osinbajo to be in charge. |
Insightful! That number 5 is a major red flag. I recall MMM of yesteryears and how some attained the position of "Guiders" (whatever it means). It was a Guider who convinced me to join only for the scheme to crash the moment my money went in. ![]() Unfortunately, Ponzi schemes will always thrive despite these signs because people are greedy and want to make so much by doing so little. |
bruf:Glad it is resolved. I will proceed to "unquote" now. |
FamilyprideNig:This won't work on me. I claimed you raised some salient points in your first post but criticised the tone on your post. 3 weeks is indeed a whole lot of time to use a newly purchased product but she stated she put to bed and recently got out of the hospital, which makes perfect sense as to why she hasn't used it since she took custody of the MCW. I saw your chat with her and it is nothing short of disgust. I don't want to play the woman card but she is your customer before anything, whether she bought the MCW from your neighbour or you. She is hurt and aggrieved and you thought the only way to address the issue is to threaten her and publish her name when in reality you failed to address the main issue which is the fact that the item she purchased is defective. I have no business calling you. I know how difficult customers can be but she told her side just like you did yours but you couldn't just bring yourself to act like a seller who sold a defective product, either deliberately or otherwise. As far as I am concerned, the transaction was fraudulent from the time you posted it on here. And interestingly, you seem to be more concerned about your reputation online rather than to address the issue on ground. I got your PM but I won't respond to it. I didn't buy the item. The person who did is displeased. We sincerely need to make this place safer mostly for buyers and also protect sellers while at it. I have your details but I won't dox you further. The basic is what has been posted. |
You wonder why the Fulanis and the Presidency insult the Igbo people periodically without fear of being called to order... The enemy of the Igbos are none other than Igbo politicians. |
Walkee:How you flaunt your ignorance without knowing what a cookie does is hilarious. Pray tell, what is the value of items/products you've bought since you've been seeing ecommerce ads? Most of you overrate and place too much importance on yourselves. Not like the wealthiest Nigerian has that much Internet spending power but people with lesser are worried about seeing ads and worried about retargetting. Cookies are the reasons you don't have to enter your password time and again on Facebook, Nairaland, or some other social media/forum platforms when returning. |
SweetBuns:Tracking isn't just for targeting and retargeting alone. If you are a blogger or you own a site, perhaps you would have a better understanding of what those cookies and trackers do. Simply put: 1. They help tell the country of a visitor (this eventually help bloggers measure how their websites or blogs perform in certain countries). 2. It also gives an insight into your demographics (gender, age, etc. Note: this is always measured whether or not you use Brave or other concealing browsers. Your device is powered by Google's Android). 3. It helps make site owners serve you better and even enhance your overall browsing experience on such sites. |

wunmi590:This shouldn't be about race or colour. The major difference between the two you compared is economy and standard of living. So many Nigerians are living below poverty lines and some are forced to sell off items for temporal sustenance. I get irked when I see those outrageous amounts on items that are excessively used but then I wouldn't blame them much. From my standpoint, it could be considered as greed but to a seller, it is his/her only way of buying the next food items. I know someone who wanted to sell one of her home appliances to someone and had already spent the money of the item in her head before the person actually came to pick it up. Nigerians are good people and lack is the major reason for the "greed" we all point out. If everyone had more than enough, I am dead sure most will give out freely and wouldn't even wait till the item is almost out of commission. We sell everything because there is no money. Some truly want to give out but their pockets can't just afford that luxury for now. The only GREEDY people you will see on this thread are middlemen who are not just contented with the amount the real item owner will give them from sales but making extra monies from each items sold. I am also glad you acknowledged people are going through a lot and Nigeria is hard at the moment and that counts. |
akeeng:Simple. You have to give them "basic access" for their app to work on your phone and for you to be eligible for a loan. The moment you do that, your contacts, messages (including debit/credit messages will be scanned). All of of these will determine your credit worthiness in the end but at a cost; first a lien is placed on your bank account via your submitted debit card should you get a loan and then your contacts will be extracted just in case they are needed. You might not qualify for a loan if you try to get a loan on a device without contacts or bank SMSes. |
sisisioge:I wouldn't refer to those guys as the proper fintechs we all know. That's just LAPO 2.0. They evolved and thought to go digital rather than connect with market folks. Unfortunately, their account officers double as recovery officers which is why they are ruthless in recovering their loans. Unfortunately for cash strapped folks, LAPO has up to four active apps and the approach is the same when someone borrows from either. I keep getting embarrassing texts from them over one of my contacts who borrowed from them. |
The scenario here is very simple; you kept on borrowing from various loan sharks as a result of your credit rating and never bothered to pay back. You probably enjoyed the idea of getting "free" credit alert, so much so that you squandered the whole thing on what doesn't make sense. Say you kept borrowing; what prevented you from making repayments when you earn about a N100k monthly, even if it was in bits? I know most people with a lifestyle of borrowing barely have savings, which accounts for why you resorted to selling your properties but what happened to your salary while you borrowed to the tune of N700k (which I find unbelievable BTW)? I wouldn't advise you to take your own life. Think of the pain you and the scar you'd be inflicting on your family. Live through the shame, slave and work to pay them back. Inform your bosses, line manager, or supervisor and tell them you are being threatened. This will help cushion the effect of these sharks informing your colleagues and bosses. Finally, NEVER borrow from loan sharks! Anyone who is a regular with them can never amount to a thing. |
Layormiii:Please reject it outrightly. If you don't, he will be bold to do the same to others. Plus, this is a case of purposely selling a different item from what was advertised. That wasn't what you paid for. Imagine claiming it is a clearance sales only to find out he actually pieces them together in his workshop. Nigeria is hard and monies aren't easy to come by. However, before you reject it, call him out so others won't fall victim of this wicked act. We have so many exploiting/selling defective items to others in the name of clearance sales. |
Viccur:How is a 2GB RAM/160GB HDD netbook laptop worth 50k? What is this nonsense?! ![]() |
IreneJane:The first—appeal to bandits after kidnapping 20 University students. The second—undoubtedly against IPOB, Kanu and Igbos. Posted 2 hours ago by FFK: https://twitter.com/realFFK/status/1401779353428676612?s=19

There's a whole lot of difference between asking a social media platform to regulate its channel since fake news litter cyberspace these days. It is another thing to gag Nigerians from using Twitter just because a bigoted president who threatened genocide on a people had his tweet reported and taken down. Unfortunately, even the big social media platforms can't "regulate" their site's contents just like that. These platforms are user-generated and act as micro-blogging platforms. If people can't air their opinion, then it takes away the social media platform's objective. Almost every government would love to gag social media now since no one relies on government controlled media anymore. People see injustice around them, record them and write about them on their pages, which the government doesn't like. If social media was gagged during Jonathan's time, the crop of failures we have now as leaders under the APC wouldn't even win because it was a vital tool to them. |
AutoChick4U:Criticize constructively. If you think a 70k shoe that is originally sold for over 100k is absurd, just pass on. It isn't every time you will see N2,500 shoes just because it is a clearance sales thread. If "decluttering" is the word in contention then I don't think it is a basis for argument as doing this would mean shvtting on someone else's business in the name of an applied English word. |
I don't drink, I have never smoked in my life and I do not womanise. This horrible mindset has led many males into thinking they must accept either one or more of these vices. Am I religious? No! It is high time we stopped normalising craze. |
KunlexyInc1:One of the very few trusted sellers on Nairaland. Never met him, sent him money for a phone on a Sunday and he sent it via waybill to Lagos, from Ogun State same day. I recommend! |
Zenithh:You should have the same available for iOS. Psiphon is a perfect alternative and there is a free version that will do just fine. |
Ishilove:On PlayStore. There are so many free versions that you can use. I recommend Windscribe and Thunder VPN. |
Coming from a typical Buharist? I am sure you have been sent to make sure the ban is absolute? Purchased a one year VPN plan on Turbo just yesterday because I saw the madness coming. PS: If you can't afford a premium VPN, search online for modded ones. They are not actually right but they are premium would get you to use social media platforms just fine. |
