SatanicPriest:There is the reality check that life is short after learning that someone you got into an argument with has passed on. The feeling that you should have reached out in time or understood them will always stare at you. Death does not change whether someone is an idiot or not, as you rightly pointed, but sympathisers become more human and realize they can let go of whatever grudge they had with the dead. |
Ishilove:Never knew her personally but I am silently praying this shouldn't be true. Death hurts and that of younger people hurt more. |

Iamafinegirl, the hard to get game probably placed you high and mighty in his eyes but you fell to zero the moment you moved in with him. The respect, admiration and worth he has has probably fallen to zero. Moving in with a man you're not married to under the umbrella of "I want to study him" is somewhat funny. There are many ways to study someone without necessarily moving in with them. Other than those things he's lost for you, it seems he doesn't like the idea of being around too long or living free under his roof. He has started showing you the butt of the yam, I think it is proper you got the memo and leave at this point. I am of the theory that a woman's contribution, if at all she wants to or it is agreed, shouldn't be more then 30% while the man foots the 70%. Your 30% could be channeled to food, cable subscription and possibly gas filling, if the 30% isn't expended already. But in this case, you guys aren't married and as such, it will be hard for him to take that since you probably moved in without him asking. No matter how much you wanted to be around him, you shouldn't have stayed even beyond 3 days. Save in marriage, the longer you cohabit with a man, the quicker "see finish" happens and the more that happens, the quicker the spark dies. When this happens, that "specialness" wears off and you become what he imagines in his head. The red flag isn't him but you. |
BKayy:What is enterprising about illiterate herders who encroach and destroy people's farms? |
PaChukwudi44:Jonathan greatly favoured the South East and ostracised the South West from his administration despite calls to be fair to the region. You all loved it, cheered him on and even counselled the Yorubas to fight for what they want. Personally, I don't see the ambition of the South West threatened because a one term Southern administration won't be settled for, and that takes Jonathan out of the equation. On national appeal, I doubt there is a politician in the South East who has that. I personally wouldn't want Tinubu as president, particularly when Osinbajo is to be considered. The DAR trick of the North in which it dangles the first presidency like it's theirs to give is sickening. |
Mysticwebb:You didn't read that he is the one in charge of arresting beggars and prostitutes in Kano metro area? This is what happens with religious enforcers. The idea of true of genuine, true worship can't be present. It is all about putting your best forward; a public show in order not to get hammered, when it should be between you and your maker. In order not to get judged, people will rather prefer to be Wild 'N' Out in secret, forgetting that God is there. Imagine being flogged for not fasting (something which out to be personal), imagine being flogged or whipped for holding hands with the opposite sex or for being sighted standing on the road. |
Ordinarily, I would laugh at the hypocrisy of the North and Hisbah as a sham but it is more disturbing that the police is being used as an instrument of religion in this case. The police DPO who was caught drinking/committing adultery sometime ago wasn't arrested by the police but by Hisbah. Why then is the police being used as a religious tool 'just' because a hypocrite fornicated or committed adultery? Why can't Hisbah arrest him? What will the police charge him for; adultery or fornication, according to section what of the 1999 constitution? The operations of the police in the North is somewhat very different from that of those in the South and at this right, it won't be long before Hisbah starts arresting even non-Muslims who are found wanting. The systemic overlapping between Hisbah and the police in the North is something worth studying. Sharia is gradually finding its two legs in Nigeria. |
The arrested commander is said to be in charge of arresting beggars and prostitutes in Kano metro area. He was taken into custody after the husband of the woman with whom he allegedly had an affair filed complaints.http://saharareporters.com/2021/02/16/police-arrest-kano-hisbah-commander-married-woman-hotel

So I decided to buy this anonymously and didn't want to give a review but KunlexyInc1 wowed me. He had this delivered even on a Sunday and communicated all through even when in church. Delivery was super fast and communication was seamless. The device is actually amazing. Thank you! |
Richcreed:I will tell you this for free; the only group who pitched sane Yorubas against Igbos are BMCs and APC foot soldiers. The trick was to divide the cause and make it ethnic since Igbos are always the scape goat in the scheme of things. The protest was never political. |
drlateef:Not sure I asked you this citation. Most of the past and present governors and commissioners of Lagos have no roots in Lagos. We are just lucky to have them, and they believe Lagos is their new home. They have contributed more than most indigenes to developing Lagos. The Tomfoolery! Initially, you boasted you you are not an "atohunrinwa", meaning someone who walked into Lagos but turned in one swift move to hail strangers who came from other states and indeed up becoming governors in the state. The same you referenced Anambra and Abia a few minutes ago? This is hilarious. You must wake up from ethnic bigotry and laziness.Huh? ![]() drlateef:This was you a few minutes ago, asking that I go to my state and you claim you are not bigoted? You haven't explained the colour of your bigotry at all. [s]An average Lagosian is regarded as lazy. When I was in University, they used to say that it’s rare to find a true son of Lagos in university. If these so called strangers had not come to develop Lagos, how would the situation in Lagos have been, with teeming numbers of uneducated true indigenes? We welcome developers in Lagos. We do not welcome destroyers.[/s] If Lagosians are lazy and strangers from all walks of life developed Lagos then they have a claim to it, just like a true-born Lagosian. The same way Tinubu, Baba Jakande, and Fashola, alongside other non-Lagosian commissioners, have a claim over Lagos is the same way Igbos, Hausas, Urhobos, Ijaws, Ibibios, Anangs, TIVs, Itsekiris and other ethnic groups who contributed to the development of the state have the same claim. There is only one man who has equipped and sponsored thuggery in the state and that is the one man you romanticize - Tinubu. Nigerians protest abroad. EndSARS protesters have always been peaceful and have never been destructive even in the face of provocation. You introduced systemic bigotry into the discourse and then asked I purge myself of it. You should be more deliberate at arguments. |
JidennaJason:Very crazed human beings, alongside the acclaimed "Dr" in my mention. Their ignorance of Lagos is so great that you wonder if they truly live in the state. Omamurioke, Oniovo. |
olaremint:I doubt you are sensible but I will cure your ignorance. The Lagos State government, through the Lagos State Security Trust Fund (LSSTF) funds and equips the Rapid Response Squad (RRS). Although the LASG claims the RSS is funded by individuals and 'well-meaning' people in the state. The LSSTF was founded in 2007, during the time of Fashola. So, tell me, when was the last time you saw the RSS in new riot gears and crispy uniforms dousing a riot or protest? I could have simply ignored your tantrum but there are crazed, ignorance folks like you who also think the NPF funds and equip the RSS. Rapid Response Squad (RRS): This is a section of the Lagos State Police Command set up torespond speedily to emergencies within Lagos State. It was initially referred to as ‘Operation Sweep’ during the BubaMarwa military administration and later restructured and re-organized and renamed ‘Rapid Response Squad’ [RRS] by the Tinubu Administration. The Squad was charged with onerous task of flushing crime out of every part of LagosState. The RRS comprises of about two thousand officers. The Lagos State Security Trust Fund (LSSTF)equips the Rapid Response Squad (RRS), through the donations and contributions from Organizations and well-meaning individuals, to enhance its operational capability and the effectiveness of the men of RRS. This is reflected in the thousands of motorbikes, patrol vehicles, helicopters, gunboats, ballistic helmets/bullet proof vests, rain coats/boots, etc provided for the RRS which has helped to significantly reduce the crime rate in the State. The LSSTF is the “unseen” face behind the RRS.https://lsstf.lagosstate.gov.ng/rapid-response-squad-rrs/#:~:text=The%20Lagos%20State%20Security%20Trust,of%20the%20men%20of%20RRS.

[s] drlateef:[/s] I didn't walk into Lagos State if that is your claim. Tinubu is originally from Osun State, Iragbiji precisely and cannot lay claim to being a pure-bred Lagosian other than his stronghold on the State. The Stockholm syndrome is why the future of Lagos is supposedly in the groin of one man and it is okay since he must share one vegetable oil and cassava flakes during elections. If not for the fact that the mindset of many is warped, why will any rational human think it is okay for a politician to build a property with the State money and then turn around to convert it to personal use? Why is Alpha Beta the audit company of the state when one of the BIG FOUR, which are independent companies could be used? I used to think the way you think before but the narrative is fast changing. Lagos could have been more but no, we are all comfortable with the crumbs that fall off the table of smart kleptomania who has a company for almost every sector of the state which he uses to bleed the state dry. I was thinking you will mention Ambode and Sanwo-Olu but you only stopped at Jakande, Tinubu and Fashola. You should have included those two as well. Not to worry, the future of your unborn generation is being looted without conscience but Abia and Anambra is your problem. That is Seyi Tinubu, a young man who controls an advertising agency. Another Tinubu manages Primero and then Bola's daughter is the Iyaloja of Lagos. A thug, Oluomo is gradually rising through the ranks and his kids are abroad. You will soon explain how the thievery of Tinubu has made you and your family a better person. |
drlateef:Stockholm syndrome? Not sure you are more Lagosian than I am, Ogbeni Lateef. |
Vaughanlanrewaj:So it is no longer about embarrassing Buhari but an attempt at bringing down Tinubu? Ment. It is now I know there is a reason that Lekki toll gate was chosen. It was all planned and orchestrated to bring in Tinubu.Huh? Never again will people who are not stakeholders in Lagos be allowed to burn down Lagos. So, stakeholders are the only ones allowed to burn down Lagos, according to you? It is all a ploy for the 2023 presidency.I am still waiting for you to swear on this... I will believe you going forward if you do. |
Vaughanlanrewaj:Can you swear on your life and that of your unborn generation that #EndSARS protesters have been wreaking havoc and destroying properties across Lagos? By the heavens, I swear, I will agree with you from here on out that #EndSARS protesters indeed destroyed damaged properties across Lagos if you do so. |
You probably wonder how an underfunded NPF suddenly got money to acquire riot gears and crispy new uniforms about a week since the #OccupyLekkiTollGate protest was announced last week. It is said that the Lagos State Government owns the LCC but every Tinubu's stooge understands that the wide-eyed, dogged politician in Bourdillon owns and controls the toll gate by proxy. He probably funded the police within a week since the protest was announced last week. Strangely, the LCC provided the Black Maria unarmed protesters were caged in. The Toll Gate funds of BAT have been terribly affected that he would do anything to see it come alive again. This is the smart thief that is eyeing the presidency.

Logan23:Some of you write like you sat on your brains. Bask in your folly and stop with the mentions. You're not worth engaging. |
alizma:The piece does not need to mention Nigeria exclusively but if Africa is targeted, Nigeria will be the first to take the hit. The US, in its typical style and approach, will force others to swallow what they don't like. They bullied Jonathan when he was in power over this same thing by refusing to sell arms and even blocking Nigeria's arms deal with other countries. It is not necessarily about the financial support. |
Ooni:Should Nigeria succumb to the pressures of the US (God forbid), other African countries will easily fall in line. It is strategic. To get the rest of Africa, go through Nigeria. The appointments are probably well deserved but those appointed, I believe, must be open to gay practices and might have been practising. It is like hiring someone who shares the same values as you. |
Proffdada:Nigeria? Self sufficient? It is easier for a camel to pass through the eye of a needle than for Nigeria to be self-sufficient. It seems you don't understand how deep Nigeria is sold out to world powers when it comes to reliance. We can't even be self-sufficient in the next ten years and it is not a curse. |
